After the first perfume Narciso Rodriguez for Him from 2007 and Narciso Rodriguez for Him Musk from 2009, the third fragrance for men hits the shelves in 2012. Narciso Rodriguez for Him Eau de Parfum Intense will thrill all fans of this brand with this new composition and strong composition of the fragrance.
The new fragrance was introduced in March 2012 and brings a good dose of sensuality provided by an intense musk as stamp of this edition. Besides musk, sensual notes are increased by floral tacts of elegant iris spiced in flirtatious manner with sassy pink pepper.
The new edition Narciso Rodriguez for Him Eau de Parfum Intense can be obtained as 50 ml at a price of 57,50 EUR at Sephora stores.

Narciso’s are some of the best musk fragrances (since theirs are all all musk fragrances) This one combines the wet concrete of the original edt with the intense muskiness of Musk, and ends inferior to both. Very good, but i was hoping for better.
For a musk fragrance it’s even great, but lacks the expansiveness and pulsating treat of the 2009 Musk.

Sharing some notes with Kouros Yves Saint Laurent makes this perfume very unsatisfying for the people who are not into classics. I ordered EDT online I got EDP instead…. but it is still classy and richly furbished.

I can’t remember the last time I did a 2nd update on any scent let alone something Id call a sig scent. If I was brand new to perfumery with no knowledge of what to buy, how to wear it, and what it was that I liked sprayed on my body, this is exactly what I’d want to smell like everyday.
Iris, done right. Such a sexy scent…this is what Kiehl’s Musk should smell like..updated, fresh and beautiful. First time I ever smelled this perfume, I immediately thought “ signature scent”. My signature scent, for the time being. Less is more, is not only simple..sometimes less is more beautiful.

I am sweating like a pig and a lady sitting literally a foot away says to me, “You smell really nice.” Mind you, I come from a place where people are not known for giving compliments. Ladies and gentlemen I present you Narciso Rodriguez EDP. This beauty comes alive and blooms in sweltering hot and humid weather. This cuts through humidity like butter where the ‘kings’ like Aventus have failed.

Never had the original but just got the full bottle of this one. Absolutely love, glad to have it. Opening might be unisex but it gradually developed to the masculine side. Definitely suited with cool weather but it’s hard to find such places in my country (Malaysia). But who cares, love it and wear it wherever I feels like it.

This is a solid release from the designer house of Narciso Rodriguez. They don’t have many fragrances marketed towards men but the few they have are excellent; even though I believe most of their releases are unisex.
For Him EDP is a very sensual fragrance with only three listed notes; Pink pepper, Iris, and Musk. This is nothing short of absolute, genuine genius concoction; so smooth, soothing and perfect, a work of art. The use of iris made the musk buttery and creamy, and the pink pepper just adds some very slight spiciness; this just takes me there, just a place of tranquility and serenity; Nirvana. Even if you don’t like the notes, it doesn’t mean the blend won’t appeal to you. This is a 180 degrees departure from the original for him although the musk still connects them slightly. This is a top designer fragrance good in cool weather but to me better in the heat. 6 hour longevity with decent projection is all I need from this beauty. Excellent!

You musc try this perfume. I am not joking. You musc try this scent at least once. Francisco Rodriguez likes musc and preaferably with a good dose of musc sensuality. Master Chef François Kurkdjian cooked it almost to perfection for us to enjoy it.
I musc reconize that this fragrance is quite simple, very linear and kind of let me identify only the notes of musc and iris. I do detect a faint sweetness probably due to the red berries 3d note.
“For Him” is sexy and manly, a real head turner due to its scent (a good musc does wonders) and uniqueness. I don’t have a clue why some reviewers claim it to be rather feminin. A feeling of “what’s that” lingers in the air around any For Him wearer. Strange enough is the fact that this scent does remind me a lot of another gem but a complex one, with more than two douzains of different notes. I am speaking about Van Cleef & Arpels Pour Homme helas also a not so well known fragrance but an absolute manly fragrance and an icon of the perfume industry. However, VCA Pour Homme has a faint note of musc, no iris, no red berries and lots od wood, leather, patchouli and different types of grass.
I musc say that I do suspect that probably other notes than those that are listed are used in this fragrance. There is a pleasant fougére background and, in my opinion, it doesn’t seem possible to be originated in the minimalistic three notes unveiled. Narciso Rodriguez claims this fragrance to be a “fougére musquée boisé”. It is really a musc landmark, but other notes are needed for it to be woody and grassy as it seems to be.
You also have an above average performance as a bonus. Longevity and sillage are a bit inferior to the “For Him” EDT, but better than other sexy scents like “La Nuit” or “Dylan”.

Guys, don’t let the feminine nonsense scare you away from this fragrance. If you like the original, one of the best fragrances for a rainy summer day. Then chances are you’ll like the parfum intense version. I still prefer the original, but this is decent enough to test it out.
To give you an idea of the scent, a reviewer below me nailed it when he said it’s very similar to the classic masculine VCA Pour Homme. If you find that fragrance feminine, then you must be the proud owner of Catlyn Jenner Pour Homme. No pun intended.

I now love the original NR for him EDT after taking a few weeks to get used it. A few people I saw talking about NR for him EDP made it sound like it was quite similar to the original but with a far stronger musk.
My bottle arrived in the mail today and I applied a few spritzes an hour or so ago. Unfortunately I’m quite disappointed. This is very musky for sure, but in an old fashioned women’s perfume kind of way. Think Chanel no.5. It doesn’t smell the same as Chanel no.5, but has that heavy musk/powdery/floral vibe.
Images of hugging my girlfriend’s grandma are all that’s conjured up each time I catch a whiff which isn’t really what I’m looking for in a fragrance (no offence to her, she’s lovely). This is a pity because I really like the dirty/earthy masculine feel of the EDT and I was so excited to see what a heavier musk would do to that composition.

Bought this because I really love the EDT version of this line (which is gray bottle while this is gold), but the 2 are very different. This EDP is primarily musk and It is very much on the feminine side. Not as beautiful or unique as the EDT.
This is almost identical to kiehls musk eau de toilette which advertises for unisex. I should have bought another bottle of EDT which i Love so much instead of trying to see a different version. This is not so unique and could be offensive to sensitive nose. After an hour or so it gets pleasant, but my general feeling about this is negative

I recently picked up bottles of Narciso For Him EDT, and Narciso for Him EDP. I have worn this fragrance a few times and still need more time to give more feedback on this scent, but thought I would post some initial impressions on this scent.
Adjectives to describe Narciso for Him, EDP:
Clean, simple, dark, smooth, mysterious, sexy, classy, modern and different.
Unlike more common fragrances, where I can give a fragrance a ‘thumbs up’ or ‘thumbs down’ on a fragrance within a minute, this scent is very different. In many ways, it is clean and fresh…and yet it also has this dark and mysterious vibe to it, in the same vain that I view Narciso for Him, EDT.
It doesn’t smell like the EDT version to my nose, and clearly the notes are different, yet it has a similar vibe despite the fact that I find it softer and smoother that the EDT.
Do I like it so far? Yes. Having said that, I need more time with this scent. As simple as it is…it’s a different kind of scent.

Beautiful, classy yet casual scent as many of said. Simple, and at the same time seductively mysterious. Women love this stuff. I tend to receive a few compliments each time I wear this.
Important note: while I feel this can be worn well in fall, winter or spring, it absolutely shines and works its magic when the weather is at its coldest.

Also the performance is not very good, I hardly get 3 hours on my skin and then it got very faint.
This is very easy going fragrance and not annoy others or polarize in the air. The projection is also moderate not beastly.

to me, this smells extremely similar to van cleef and arpels pour homme. strong, masculine, flat. Not very interesting linear and not particularly versatile. With both I get the strong smell of detergent powder for the washing machine. I would go with the Van Cleef every time, it projects better and is far cheaper.

I cannot believe how this fragrance is so overlooked.
It’s much easier to like than the violets + wet concrete + flowers-left-in-a-vase-too-long soup of the original Narciso Rodriguez ‘for him’.
Simple and straightforward with just red berries, a smooth, velvety iris and one of the most beautifully rendered musks I’ve ever encountered, it’s a wonder this ever made it to a department store, only to share counter space with the likes of Calvin Klein.
The opening leans slightly feminine (if that sort of thing matters to you) with the berries and all but after the initial blast, it transitions to a blend of cool iris and the musc accord, where it remains for hours.

Blind bought this 6 months ago. Wasn’t really impressed at first. It was just “okay” but gave a like mark here. Boy was I dumb.
I have a tendency to love more strong spicy/sweet/leathery perfumes. But in the past couple of months I’ve been exploring much more. I’m searching for a spring & summer fragrance and didn’t seem to find any that i love. Today I wore this. Glad I blind bought it.
After the journey I realize how the musk in Narciso’s line is unique, and simply lovely. The pyramid is pretty straightforward; musk, iris, pinkpepper. But I think there’s a note missing. Tea leaves.
I get fresh tea leaves notes hiding deep in the background. The kind of smell in the air of a tea field. Combined with musk and iris makes this a perfect spring fragrance masterpiece IMO.

this is like Kouros’s younger brother. i can smell the similarity between them, but NR is more clean, light, and casual.
after several weeks testing it, it just doesnt suit my taste, the powdery note just too dominant and smells a bit feminime to me.
the performance was terrible too in my skin. the original NR for him was much much better in terms of scent and performance IMNO.

This is fantastic perfume, unfortunatelly it’s very weak. Nothing on this earth smell like NR For Him or NR Perfume.First one is relatively decent about projection, but Perfume is dissapointing, albeit it’s so special that wearing it with some white shirt and jeans is so right. If this company could just make stronger perfumes even with a higher cost, I think that no body could ever beat them. Their perfumes are not for everyone, just for people with different taste which says: NOT USSUAL, BUT SEXY. This is perfume for people driving Maseratis and Jaguars.

To me it’s a very un usual take on musk… very modern, it smells futuristic to me, very clean and sophisticated. A slight floral hint under the original DNA of the “wet concrete” vibe, but the concrete note is no where near as strong as the original EDT in the different coloured bottle..You’re just reminded of it, very strange to describe to anybody. But Musk heavy, longevity is quite poor on my skin, maybe around 4 hours. But I enjoy it! I seem to have a different reaction to most though, for me this is Spring and Summer Day Time… seems the voting suggest Winter Nights. I don’t see that at all personally

Unpleasantly surprised. This reminds me of a Fresh Flowers Glade spray for the bathroom. Its a shame – and its only because I bought this new and had to pump the sprayer can I truly know that this is the authentic juice and that this is what it was Supposed to smell like. I usually discount opinions’ that seem so brash, this is my greatest shock as far as fragrances go, but this is literally something unexpected in quite the unfortunate way. Based on rave reviews, my love for Bleu Noir by NR and the fact that I love musks, I figd I couldnt go wrong. And somehow I managed. I apparently do not like my musks clouded over with powdery flowers but instead matched with sweeter/darker tones of amber or smooth woody tones like sandalwood and I think that is what this disagreement boils down to. If you like that powdery, flowery type musk then you might really love this. This is much different than the musk you find in Ramon Monegals Agar, Cherry or Cotton Musk or Hugo’s Musk & Wool, etc. Maybe the dry down will tell a different tale but I dont think I will be waiting to find out. Hopefully my bottle makes it into much more appreciative hands.

حضور فلفل صورتی هم فقط به نت فلورال کمک کرده و اون خاصیت تند و تیزی فلفل سیاه رو نداره ، در آخر هرچی از عمر عطر میگذره با قویتر شدن مشک ، رایحه فلورال ضعیفتر میشه و با تم خاکی و شباهت بیشترش به نسخه اصلی تو این مرحله تا به پایان ادامه میده
اجزاء تشکیل دهنده این عطر هم مثه نسخه ارژینالش ، محدود به این سه نت که اینجا ذکر شده نیست و مطمئنا با تست دقیق هر دوکار براحتی میشه متوجه این نکته شد ، شاید یکی از دلایلی که باعث شده این دو کار ، کپی و شبیه نداشته باشن همین ناشناخته بودن لیست اجزاء تشکیل دهنده ش باشه
در کل با اینکه شباهت غیر قابل انکاری به نسخه اصلی داره اما به تنهایی کاره قابلی هست و در خور توجه و اینکه کدوم برای خرید ارجحیت داره ، بستگی به شخصیت خودتون داره

This fragrance is AMAZING!
The smell itself stays the same throughout its life on my skin but it is so warm, cozy and surprisingly fresh at the same time. I do get a lot of musk in this but it is somehow refreshing.
I love wearing this is winters and I think this is an ideal date scent because of the fact that this gets ridiculous amount of compliments.
Might be a bit too strong for some people so my recommendation is try before you buy. (But, please try!)
P.S. – One spray is enough for me. I truly can’t say this for any other fragrance I own and I am talking about the likes of Le Male & Encre Noire.

The refined and nicely groomed embodiment of NR edt. Off come the work clothes and on with some elegant threads. However, despite the outward change, the strong work ethic remains in tact. This scent will without a shadow of a doubt please any female nose within close proximity. Narciso, Narciso Just wow…This house would be one of my top 3 favorite designer houses if they didn’t just have 4 mens fragrances- 2 of which smell almost Identical. I’ve grown to LOVE everything I’ve smelled from Narciso with the lone exception being their newest release which I haven’t smelled. I don’t just like but ABSOLUTELY LOVE what this house puts its name behind.
For Him Intense is the more formal version of For him that smells very unisex to my nose. It may be the perfect suit and tie frag for the well dressed metrosexual. But personally I wear this with more relaxed clothing and it works perfectly for me for casual occasions and nights in the house with the significant other. Like the original its very versatile and can be worn all year (summer nights tho to be safe…lol). Lasts about 7 hours and the performance is adequate being a more formal scent. Just don’t over spray. This scent wasn’t meant to act like Joop.
If I could find one fault with this house’s frags it would be that the notes are synthetic but when you smell this along with others from the house you find yourself thinking or saying “Synthetic…SCHMEMTHETIC”. Niche brands have to abide by the IFRA also so synthetic notes aren’t exclusive to designers anymore. The beauty in this and other scents from Narciso is the quality blending of these synthetic notes which makes them a worthy choice for any frag snob.
simply put…this scent is a beautiful classy close to the skin Fragrance. People will smell you but won’t be overwhelmed by you.
8/10- would be perfect to me if it were slightly more potent…For an Eau de Parfum it’s very tame. The original which smells nothing like this is far more impressive performance wise. Nonetheless this fragrance smells very good.

Ok, This is a bit of a head scratcher for me. The original NR for men is one of my favorite frags. I find the violet, patchouli and musk combination very dark, melancholy, and achingly beautiful. Not the easiest of frags to wear but when I do, I love it to bits. NR EDP Intense has nothing in common with it except musk as a note so if you are looking to blind buy this because you love the original, you might want to think again and test it first. The pink pepper note is there fleetingly in the beginning but then it’s all iris musk and it’s pretty linear all the way. Longevity is excellent as you would expect for an EDP. 4 sprays gets me 10 hours plus easy and I can still smell it on my clothes the next day. In fact I think 2 sprays is plenty for this one. good projection as well, not a room clearer but people around you can smell it for sure. This is one of those frags that works only in intimate settings for me, not an office frag, not a gym frag for sure, not a safe first date frag as well. If you like big old fashioned floral musks, go for it, otherwise,test it. Night time and cold weather frag only if you live in the tropics. I somehow think NR would have been better off marketing this as a new fragrance instead of a flanker to the original. just gets people’s expectations skewed. I love the original. I like this and will finish my bottle but dont think will be restocking. 7/10
Edit:- I have had a chance to live with this one a while and kinda grown to like it a bit more. The dry down especially is gorgeous, have to put up with some mediocrity in the top notes to get there but it’s totally worth it. Bumping my score upto 8/10.

I’m not sure why violets aren’t listed in the note pyramid, because to me this is an extremely smooth and simple fragrance that showcases a grayish floral violet note blended and backed by a powerful white musk. The iris note is also very white, airy, and floral. It serves to accent the perimeter of this EDP and extend its radiance outward, lending the impression of clouds at some far away distance in the sky. I honestly don’t pick up on much pink pepper here–if I look closely at the heart of the fragrance I can smell a touch of a sweet spiciness, but it’s very subtle and not what immediately jumps out. This fragrance is more bitter than sweet, in my opinion, and more “perfumey” than earthy. By “perfumey” I mean that the white musk, and violet-iris tandem dominate on a level that is more in tune with flower petals and the airy space around them than anything coming from the roots or soil below. Furthermore, a bit of a synthetic nature is lent by the white musk, though that’s not to say it’s unpleasant or harsh. Overall a very clean, somewhat formal fragrance that seems almost flawless in its construction. The notes pair so well together and appear to execute exactly what they set out to do. I think this fragrance is unisex. Men obviously like it, and there’s something in here that reminds me of the classic Rive Gauche, on a drier, airier level, but I wouldn’t think twice if I smelled this on a woman either. The floral aspect and gender-neutral white musk are reminiscent of common components in many women’s perfumes. In fact, on average, I think guys might shy away from this one due to these aspects, and understandably so.
To summarize, I think this is a very good Eau de Parfum by Narciso Rodriguez. It’s brighter, cleaner, smoother, and more upbeat than the EDT (which isn’t a knock against the EDT), and could work wonders on the right man wearing a white button up shirt and sports coat. Its performance is excellent. At the same time, you may find this too formal, too suave, or simply not like the very distinct combination of white musk, violets, and iris. As for me, I’m going to hang on to it for a while and see if I can make it work. While it’s not my typical style of fragrance, it seems too good to give up on yet, and somewhere down the road, it just might stick.

NR for him Intense is very similar to the musk version. It is some kind of “in between” version of for him and for him musk. The pepper note make it darker than the musk version which have berry, but it is not as dark as the original for him. Very smooth, not offensive at all, i get lot of musk, pepper and very little iris is i compare with the musk version (i put each of them on each arm to really try to see the différence). Mayble the Berry note make iris stronger? More wearable than the original, but not as much as the musk version. Longevity and sillage are weaker than the musk version, which is weaker than the original. That is truly the weakness of this fragrance IMO, would have been a great fragrance if it was a little bit stronger. Here is the score:
Scent: 8/10, very similar to musk version, very confy scent, pepper make it a little bit spicier.
Longevity: 2,5/5, poor for an edp, around 3-4 hours.
Projection: 2/5, close to skin. Doesn t project. My friend has to put her nose to my skin to smell it, even if i put a lot of it.
Versatility: 3/5, more versatil than the original, but not as much as the musk version. Can be wear day and night regard ing the fact that it is a close to skin scent, but not in the time u need a projection beast.
Overall: 15,5/25, something to try. Mayble u can be lucky and have a better longevity and projection than me with it?

I bought the deo stick for this a while back
and i loved it, so i was thinking why not buy
a bottle, at first i was dissapointed, it reminded
me of an old School strong smell witch i did not
like, but after a while it settled down to a great smell that unfortunately dissapeared just like that.
This one may not be for everybody so try before you buy.

Both this scent and the Musk for Him are astonishingly beautiful fragrances that I love “almost” equally. It comes down to red berries in the Musk version vs pink pepper in the EDP Intense and I slightly prefer one over the other. In all honesty though, this is nitpicking – they are very similar and very, very good. These are the kind of fragrances I truly savor and wear only when I can really appreciate them, which sadly seems to be a rarity even in a collection of many highly-regarded bottles.
Narciso Rodriguez for Him Musk and EDP Intense are seriously sexy, incredibly gorgeous fragrances created from the simplest compositions. Made for the man who is anything but simple. I love them.
