This was my very first Arabian attar purchase, about six (?) years ago, and at the time I was curious to experience an authentic Arabian oud-based mukhallat.
As one of the reviewers below notes, this is very accessible mukhallat for newcomers to Arabian perfumery and oud, since it boasts a blend of high quality ouds which translate the very best of oud, without the less pleasant aspect of some ouds, such as the famous “barnyard” note.
Oud al Sultan is very wearable and suitable for any situation, bathing the wearer in an aura of oudy goodness – it is subtle, long-lasting, and inoffensive.
The house of Iterji in Mecca has a long and prestigious history, and a pedigree more ancient than most Western perfumeries, since it dates back to the 15th century if I remember rightly.
Their other offerings include natural ingredients of superlative quality, from ouds of all kinds, essential oils, resins and ambergris.
This is a quality, affordable introduction to the wonderful world of Arabian perfumery.

After some sampling of Oud perfumes from French houses, I decided it was time to sample tradition Arabic Oud attars. Oud Al-Sultan is probably the most wallet friendly Oud attar from Majid Iterji. You do get more than what you pay for with this Oud attar. The Oud scent is pleasant and warm. No animalic scent that I could pick out. Last about 6 hours with just 2 drops. Sillage is not as potent as I thought it would be. Great for daily use. Would layer other attars or perfumes for added complexity.
