Description

A new provocation comes from the famous house of Vetiver Westwood. Let It Rock is an oriental-woody perfume presented in 2007. Designer Marie Sanamagne created the top notes of fragrancy, refreshing waves of mandarin and freesia, the heart is passionate of jasmine and patchouli, while the base introduces notes of amber.

The bottle is modern, with an inscription Let It Rock as a graffiti and with a top which is identical with their preceding perfumes, symbols of femininity. It is available as 30 and 50 edp. The nose behind this fragrance is Marie Salamagne.

It’s my first time wearing this and to my nose the first spray smells like Lolita Lempicka. I get a lot of the licorice/anise smell. The drydown is similar to a much loved fragrance of mine, Guess Marciano. It smells a bit more complex to my nose but very similar. I like all of the Westwood scents I have tried so far 🙂

This one goes on harsh at first…then the citrus/amber patchouli starts to smooth everything out. It is a warm spice for sure…not overbearing. I can see the similarites to Twilight by SJP,but Let it Rock projects more. The dry-down is nice..and a tad of sweetness emerges.A mid-range,although pleasant experience so far.
I find this “eay-going” and quite safe, easy to wear.

It exudes confidence and makes a statement, not for the reserved types definitely! Beautiful, long lasting, brisk patchouli blend …

I LOVE this perfume! Spicy, woody, warm, just sweet enough… perfection. At first the bergamot is a little much but that calms down quickly. It does remind me very much of SJP Twilight, which I also love but for it’s sub-par performance. Let It Rock is stronger and longer lasting. I can see this being one of my go-to scents for the upcoming autumn, as it evokes visions of falling leaves, hot spiced cider, sweaters and boots. Highly recommended to anyone who loves spicy orientals, fall/winter scents, etc.

This scent not only comes in a very cool bottle but once you get past the initial bergamot blast, you are invited to the unholy union of two of my favorite notes, Musty earthy patchouli and sweet sticky amber, together as they were always meant to be.The silage is the bad news, not what I had hoped. I’m afraid the longevity is going to be bad news as well. My skin just ate this up. Oh well I have a huge bottle so I can go overboard and I am thinking about layering it with Demeter Amber as well.

This is not a bad ambery scent but for this price I do think you can get better ambers on the niche scale. It doesn’t have the intentisty / longevity that some of those bombs have.

A spicy, woodsy, patchouli mandarin beast that I bought on a whim years ago, wore
a good handful of times (loving it every time) and then sold on a silly whim when I decided I had too many perfumes and I think I thought the bottle was a bit tacky. Silly me. Warm, old school oriental done in a fresh way and spices, oh the spices, it smells amazing. Threw the baby out with the bath water on this one for every time I stumble across a picture of the bottle somewhere, I wish I still had it in my collection! And now it’s discontinued! My advice for what it’s worth? Hang onto this, it’s a treasure – its beauty is memorable and original. I can still remember the smell of it now. Definitely unisex.

Very STRONG Fragance! I’m a guy and i wear this. I don’t know why, i like it. It’s different!

This reminds me of a mix between musk lollies and fruit tingles. Not what I’d call rock!
The musk-patchouli is lovely, and the powderiness, but in the end this is just too sugary for me.

When I first bought this gorgeous bottle I wasn’t sold on the fragrance, with a name like ‘LET IT ROCK!’ I expected something more in your face like Diesel ‘loverdose’ or Alien and got this over refined patchouli amber number.
It is only amber and patchouli in notes to my nose; Jasmin is nowhere to be smelled. But while its notes are few and ‘plain’ you cannot call them anything but incredibly well executed and they ooze a ‘hey I cost a LOT’ kind of vibe.
If Princess Mary was going to ‘Let it Rock’ she might wear this, anyone who appreciates beauty should own a bottle because it’s so pretty.

A sweet musky floral, very feminine and a touch powdery. To me the musk that is not mentioned is more prominent than the patchouli which is neither dirty or sharp. A little goes a long way. It starts nicely and the dry down is pleasant but in between it is a mite too sickly sweet for me.

To me this isn’t granny at all, old school late 80s, early 90s vibes- yes, most definitely. I have had a love/hate relationship with this scent because patchoulie for me is sometimes too dirty and offensive. I bought this in November 2013 and it is very autumny scent- it is very heavy and offensive on first spray, but give it a chance the drydown is beautiful it is warm and inviting the amber makes it very sweet smelling- I don’t know how I have ever previously made it through the cold months without this beauty. This is not a summer scent I have noticed a few reviewers below have reviewed this in summer- this scent was not built for summer it is too cloying for summer and heat. I recommend trying it again now that the colder months are coming.
I would describe this scent as warm spicy/balsamic/sweet, it is a lovely scent and it is unique smelling- it comforts me in the cold months.
Very beautiful bottle- absolutely stunning- the photographs do it no justice really.
    Packaging=9/10
Scent=6.5/10 still a love/hate relationship sometimes for me
    Longevity=7.5/10
    Radiates=7/10

This was a blind buy as were Boudoir and Naughty Alice. This is my favorite of the three. While it doesn’t strike me as a “punk” or “rock-n-roll” scent, its a nice fragrance. The opening on me was floral fruity sweet followed by a wave a jasmine and patchouli with amber in the background. Its strong but not as strong as Boudoir. Not a skin scent on me. Its different from my other patchouli fruit florals (I think I’m sensing a pattern). Don’t judge the scent by the bottle its in…a preconceived notion can be disappointing and then you may not be able to appreciate the juice for what it is. This is going to be in frequent rotation for me.

A gorgeous mix that could be worn by a rock chick or anyone really who likes a good fragrance with a bit of backbone.
Liquorice comes through even though it’s not mentioned, and i think that’s what makes it stand out and gives a lovely interesting twist to this very modern trendy fragrance.
One of my very favourites. I totally dig it.

  17. :

    3 out of 5

The opening of this smells very similar to L’agent with an added burst of bergamot. A minute or so later, patchouli moves aside and lets amber take the spotlight.
Amber is definitely star of this show and she doesn’t like to share the stage.
I barely get anything but amber on my skin.
Very rich powdery amber. Only lightly sweet.
Really nice, but I LOVED the opening sooo much.
I would have lived a happy life if it just stayed that way forever.
On the plus side, I love the bottle (prettier in person and high quality) and I know I’ll love the juice inside once it gets cold again here in the city.

blind buy for me also. i wear boudoir and thought i’d give another westwood fragrance a go, based on the notes on here. when i took it out the box, it had the familiar whiff of L’Agent.
tried it yesterday (it is stronger, darker and sweeter…much sweeter..than L’Agent) and the beginning it’s amazing…lovely rich patch with a gorgeous floral opening and jasmine middle with creamy amber. i was outside hanging out the washing and got massive lovely wafts of it as the wind changed direction. enjoyed it very much.
but it was the dry down later in the day that bothered me…once the flowers had faded, it was very sickly sweet on my skin. not sure what i was getting, other than simple cloying (synthetic vanilla?) sweetness. it isn’t love at first whiff (like my other perfumes), but will have to give it a few more tries. it is something special, despite the sweetness.
good sillage and 6+ hours longevity on me.
EDIT: it has grown on me and i really quite like it now! i might go so far as to say it is lovely and what was sickly sweet has become a new sweet friend.
i was standing in the queue in the supermarket and said to the cashier (who was pulling faces like she had a strange whiff up her nose) “i know, i can smell patchouli too” and i was accusing the man in front, with my eyes…erm…it was me! haha. but i’m not averse these days to smelling like an 80’s goth (that’s my olfactory memory of Patch btw).

Bought this on sale as a blind buy a while back. The cool-looking punk bottle attracted me to it. Was really disappointed that the scent didn’t match. I’ve bought fragrances in the past which I didn’t like at first but grew on me. Let It Rock just doesn’t work for me whatsoever. All I get is a really strong, weird musky, 80’s smell which gives me a headache straight up. It’s very masculine too. More masculine than a lot of men’s fragrances. I can see why it was discontinued. This is a scent suited for a very specific type of person. I’m not sure who – though I can imagine Vivienne Westwood wearing this herself. Sorry to say this one’s heading for the trash.
EDIT: I still have this almost full bottle if anyone wants it for swap. One I can’t make work on me unfortunately.
Update: This is confusing me. I hated it for years and nearly threw it in the trash… Now, I don’t know. I’ll give it another go in winter. Something about this disgusts me, yet intrigues me at the same time. Perhaps I’ve lost my mind. I love patchouli in all my other frags, but this one is different.

Let It Rock is my first Westwood fragrance and I love it! The mandarine is evident with undertones of freesia and amber. I feel the the patchouli plays a minor role, but that could be because I have Reminiscence Inoubliable Elixir Patchouli and I’m used to that huge patch hit. I’d be more than happy to wear this oriental through summer, perhaps because of the citrus note. Great lasting power and silage. A huge shout out and thank you to LivVis for a great swap.

This was a blind buy for me too and OMG, I LOVE IT!!!! It’s like a softer Givenchy Organza Indecence and so wearable!!!! I’m so impressed with this lil treasure, yet am saddened by the fact that it too has been discontinued 🙁 If you were a fan of the old school GOI then this is a scent for you!!!!

“Let it rock” is one of my blind buys. And a very successfull one I must add. I absolutely love this scent. It’s warm, deep, rich, has a pleasant earthiness to it, and awakens a combination of comfort and edginess. The patchouly really stands out on my skin, in a punk/rebel-like way. It’s dirty and dark, yet creamy and seductive. The scent lasts a really long time on me, and the sillage is good. No need to apply this perfume more than once a day. And the bottle is gorgeous! One of my all time favourites!

Let It Rock, another FANTASTIC Vivienne Westwood fragrance. I was so happy when I got this in the mail. What a great scent for the days you are just not in the mood for a floral. This fragrance opens with licorice and vanilla and dries with some fairly predominant patchouli notes. When I wear this I feel comforted and I also feel delicious. If you are a patchouli lover this is a good choice. The licorice gives it a nice fresh kick. The lasting power is good, 4/5 and so is the silage 4/5.

This is the only ‘heavy/dirty’ patchouli scent i like. Initially i bought this fragrance because i loved the bottle and the packaging. When i first tried it, i was taken aback. Not usually what i like at all. It was too sharp and mature for me to appreciate at first. However i was patient and tried this scent again 6 months after purchasing- in autumn winter time. It was no longer disappointing. It is a brilliant fragrance, intense, classic, warm and spicy. Perfect for winter. I was out walking in freezing cold winds and rain – while wearing this, this is were this scent really begins to shine and belong. When you are feeling cold and alone, this scent will comfort you, with its dirty unashamed patchouli and glowing, burning amber. This fragrance takes me to a log cabin with thick snow outside and a warm log fire burning fiercely. It is warm, intense, dirty yet classy and unashamedly brash. But it works and i cant help but love it.
P.s a lot of men seem to be offended by this fragrance, perhaps because its not the pretty flowery scent today’s modern man is used too. However, it definitely leaves its mark and has a tendency to grow on people. It blends well with ones natural skin odor such as sweat. maybe that’s why many dislike it, but also why many men & women grow to love it.

Vivienne Westwood’s Let It Rock has finally supplanted her Boudoir as my signature scent. I still adore Boudoir, but I realised I was really only wearing it for myself, usually when I was at home. It hardly makes for a signature scent if no one else knows you wear it. 😉
Let It Rock, on the other hand, is the perfume I turn to when I want to wear something I enjoy from first spray to drydown (reviewed 22 Aug 13), that projects and gets noticed without being overwhelming and is the one I grab when I can’t be bothered to choose between my 500 perfumes (no joke).

  31. :

A very pleasant and safe bet. I tend to go on the side of more spice scents and this falls into that category. Very nice pleasant aroma. This can be worn anytime and would also be great for a nice out. IT has great sillage and the lasting power is not bad at all.

  32. :

    5 out of 5

Maybe it’s the patchouli but I’m smelling musk stick lollies. That’s actually what I love about it. What I don’t love is the licoricey opening – thankfully that fades.

  33. :

    5 out of 5

At first, yes, the Lolita Lempicka licorice was there, but only a brief sparkle as it gave way to the green/amber/patchouli.
The patchouli is not in your face, and balanced nicely with the freesia/floral.
But what surprised me most of all is the smell activated something in my limbic system… I was taken back to my 70s and 80s childhood, and this smell reminded me of my older sister, who smelled like this on a hot summer day.
Im wondering what the link is here… Fidji? No…Shalimar? Arpege? Yeah, Arpege! Not what I expected from a designer whose buzz is anti anything Arpege brings to mind!
So to me, much more conservative and dare I say it “Mumsy” than I had hoped, given its stacked with my favourites; patchouli, amber, jasmine. I was expecting some spice, maybe, but nothing much to be smelt here!
A trip back in time… a soft sweet drydown that lingers, but for me, a huge 70s vibe!

I sought out three Price line stores in Melbourne and found it at the third try. It’s on sale for 19 dollaroozies for a 5o mill bottle, and suited my preferred budget for fragrances. I’m addicted, rationale is there. Anyway as a teen I loved patchouli. But seemed to avoid it for thirty years or so, until now.
I put it on last night on my wrists, and very much liked it. I couldn’t tell at all that Let it Rock contained patchouli. It did remind me of another fragrance not mentioned on any review here, but as luck would not have it. I became side tracked an neglected to jot down the similar comparison. Sitting here late morning next day writing this review, I can still smell traces on my wrists. So kudo’s for staying power. And yeah when I realised it was a coty. I thought there goes longevity. So presumptively wrong. I think this will surprisingly become a favourite of mine. I know implicitly who and what I am and what I like and don’t. I think this is a well thought out and well balanced fragrance. Cheers T.

I so agreed with @redsuedekitten – a very noticeable licorice note! Even my anosmic husband can smell it.
Now, I detest licorice, but even so, I quite like Let It Rock. The Bertie Bassett effect calms down before too long and the remaining wrist scent reminds me a bit of Midnight Poison (a fave). Once the citrus fades you’re left with a soft, slightly sugary, floral/amber with tendrils of patchouli keeping things interesting.
In fact, “soft” is the only problem. For an EDP it doesn’t seem to have much staying power. Perhaps it’s one of those that others can smell even after you think it’s gone. I’d better test that theory before I start spraying with abandon, but spray I will – I like it a lot!
Correction!: I normally wear a different perfume, sometimes more than one, every day but I’ve enjoyed this so much I’ve worn it two days on the trot and I’ve discovered that LIR is sneaky. It may *seem* too soft and to vanish too quickly, but it’s definitely still there and it doles out wafts of deliciousness for many hours.

Fragrantica inspired me to explore woody oriental perfumes and my recent lucky catches are based on the comments at this site.
The listed notes of “Let it Rock” are great, but be aware of fakes – I have got a faked “Let it Rock” at Lithuanian online shop for a price of the original! The opening of it is too chemical and despite i can distinguish a hint of patchouli and some sweet notes in it, they “sound” too artificial and badly articulated.

Patchouli scented marshmallow with a hint of spice.

I believe LIR is an amazing perfume, it is so recognizable fresh and oriental at the same time. I have recently acquired Boudoir but I was happily surprised with Let It Rock. I could smell it all over the house. The patchouli is so aromatic and so well blended with the green notes. I would definitely recommend it without any hesitation and I am sure that in a while it will be honored as much as Boudoir. Thanks a lot Mrs Westwood for the excellent job.

“Let it Rock” is named after the shop that Malcom McLaren and Vivienne Westwood opened in 1971 (before they renamed it “Sex” 3 years later), where they first started to sell biker and leather clothing and Teddy Boy clothing.
Surprisingly, “Let It Rock” smells nothing like a biker shop, leather clothes or anything “rocker”. Nor do I associate it with a bad ass rock chick or long, hardcore and boozy nights out at a rock club either.
This is a fresh, clean and rather light scent. Very likeable and easy to wear. There’s nothing naughty and “loud” about it.
It has always reminded me of a “just washed hair / out of the shower” sort of smell. If there would be a body splash of “Let It Rock”, I would use it all over right after a shower for an understated casual all-daywear!
That is not to say, that “Let It Rock” is sort of an aromatic, herbal, aquatic scent.
None of this: it’s sensual and warm. Very amber-y and feminine. A light oriental. I get a lot of bergamot and freesia, that make it an uplifting scent and tone down and soften the patchouli.
It’s soft, sits close to the skin and won’t offend anyone. People will comment on how lovely you smell and will probably not assume you’re wearing any perfume at all.
I don’t reach for it that often these days, but whenever I do, it would be on casual off-days at home or outdoors. It evolves best in warmer climate, so usually I would wear this in spring/summer.

Special thanks to Bettany87 for the lovely sample!
When I first sniffed this, I thought “Whoa, very strong and I’m not so sure about it!” But after I applied to my skin, it became a very beautiful patchouli scent that instantly wowed me. As it dried, it just got better and better; kinda woodsy a little sweet. For those that are scared of patchouli, give this one a try; it’s very well done in this frag. I just dabbed a little of this on my pulse points and got around half a days wear out of it with moderate sillage. This one is a definite must for patchouli lovers!

I have to be fair – after initially disliking this (see earlier review below) I tried it again and bought it! This was after two days of testing and trying Guerlain perfumes, including Shalimar, which this reminds me of, without being too much like it. I still get an overwhelming licorice smell at first. It’s best to spray on/near clothing to get lasting power out of this initial note. I’m not sure if it is licorice, or if it’s how my nose interprets patchouli. It’s a bold fragrance, not sweet or trendy. I guess that’s why it reminds me of Shalimar a bit. It’s a bit tough and masculine, and I like that. I’m having issues with it lasting on my skin. I’m not sure if that blast of licorice is somehow deadening my nose and I can’t smell anything soon after, or if it’s fading quickly. Yesterday I had to apply it 3 times within 5 hours or so to get anything noticeable out of it. My partner, however, did say he could smell it on me, when I could smell nothing! Which makes me think my nose went dead temporarily. Is that possible?! I got it on sale – $26 for 50ml. I understand it’s discontinued so this may be old stock and therefore have little lasting power. I wish it lasted better, but I’m going to persist with it, spray it on my clothes, and layer with other perfumes.

I strictly got this from other reviewers ,pointing out it resembles Prada Tendre…I dont agree. I can see a slight resemblence, but its very very vague!
This is spicier and that is also strange, cause the notes listed surprized me, soo few… Where prada is clearer, fresher more sparkling and woodier, this is more toned down an one dimensional but as said more spicy.
I wont turn this down, I like it a lot and it surely Rocks !
Its thick formula with a lot of warmth got my nose and brain in connection, remembering another scent from the past…though haven.t figured it out yet…
Got a – You smell nice – comment first time I wore it !
I really recommend it but not as a runner up to Prada Tendre.

The scent is absolutely patchouli! Very manly instead.
Once you sprayed it on, it’ll be there with you for the next 12 hours. Very nice longevity.
But the one thing is, if only you love patchouli and smelling that manly.
I love and I can stand to wear some other perfumes that I’ve bought to my boyfriend, like Dunhill Desire Blue, Versace Pour Homme etc. but not this one… It’s manly than so many actual man perfumes.
Do test it first if you’re interest.

Got an overwhelming burst of licorice when I tried this today, then it almost vanished to nothing and I had trouble smelling it on me at all! Not sure if I tried an old sample, or if this is how it is normally.

  47. :

    4 out of 5

This has simple notes and doesn’t change much throughout time yet it’s quite well blended thus doesn’t smell flat or thin. I get fleeting freesia in the opening, followed by lots of patchouli and amber that bring a deep, dark and earthy sweetness which is almost spicy (a little bit anisey then cinnamony in the dry down), and very little jasmine, if there is any at all. So if you love floral or gourmand you may skip this one; but if you prefer somewhat-unisex-but-still-feminine, delicious, warm woody scents you should definitely try it! It’s the scent of strong, free sprit, would suit an independent bohemian more than an urban chick. She boos at fashion but everyone comments how stylish she is. It settles down really well, smells like clean skin under the sun, sexy<3 <3 <3. Two sprays are more than enough, last all day, good sillage.
P.S. Those photos don’t do it justice! The bottle is much much prettier actually.
Edit: LIR does remind me of Cedre by Serge Lutens minus tuberose & deadly sugariness and feels less dressed up and ambitious. Organza Indecence fans might also get drawn to LIR, though the former is much more complex and feminine.

In a nutshell: a classy, ageless, affordable scent for patchouli lovers. Very nicely balanced and delivered patchouli – neither too raw nor too ‘busy’ – and overall a perfume I’d be happy to wear throughout the day, come rain or shine. I love the way it settles on the skin in such a warm, reassuring way and the amber really shines through. As with any perfume, of course, I feel that less is more and so one shouldn’t go mad when spraying it on – the price is irrelevant, ‘let it rock’ is elegant and deserves a place among the classics.

Very interesting fragrance. At first, I got a noseful of aniseed, which sort of put me off. It soon develops into a much more interesting scent though. Spicy and woody, a lot more feminine than I expected. It seems perfect for cold winterdays, it made me think of relaxing on a couch in a wooden cabin in the snow, snuggled up under a nice warm blanket. It does not remind me of any other fragrance I have smelled before, which I think is a good archievement by Miss Westwood. One either likes or dislikes Let it Rock, there’s no room for doubt here. I actually like it. Would never wear it in summer, but it’s a great winter fragrance for both night or daytime. Would have been nice if it lasted a bit longer than it does, but to be fair its lasting power is not bad. I’m keeping this one!

I have a strange review to make which probably doesn’t surprise anyone by now as I am always on here speaking my mind but this perfume gave me a shock and I don’t know what I was expecting. It was a realisation for me that there appears to be 2 different types of patchouli at least to me and in all the years of wearing perfumes and especially ones with patchouli and enjoying them I have narrowed down my taste in patchouli all because of this little perfume.
When first sprayed to me it was like Angel and I thought oh oh not another angel wannabe I already have Angel, then it smelled like Jessica Simpson’s Fancy Nights as it became musky and powdery. I couldn’t put my finger on what it smelled like but it was familiar and when I looked on this site I noticed the reference to Prada and I agree it is a lot like that. I have been wanting a bottle of Prada for ages but somehow I just never get around to getting it and I spray it at the stores and everytime I think oh that smells so nice but I never cough up the money for it.
Since I have this one now I am not sure I will bother because I have Jessica Simpson’s Fancy Nights as well so I have enough at the moment that are of this style.
The point I was making about patchouli is it is kinda like coffee drinkers. Many people laugh if you put sugar in your coffee they say your not a real coffee drinker because you spoil the strength of the coffee taste. I find I am like that with patchouli I really seem to like the musky sweet patchouli as apposed to the dirty harsh patchouli that shows up in some perfumes so many real hardcore patchouli lovers would probably laugh at me and say you don’t really appreciate patchouli if it has to be sweetened with musk and amber. I do like the other kind but I prefer the effect that comes out of Fancy Nights and Let it Rock. I also like Euphoria but that is not as appealing now to me because of this experience with Let It Rock. I don’t know maybe many reviewers would think I don’t have a clue what I am talking about but I think if you are scared of patchouli maybe you need to look at which kind you are not enjoying as I have discovered there seems to be a few different ones. Don’t ignore this perfume because it has patchouli as it is quite sweet and powdery on me at least I would at least give it a go and if you found Fancy Nights too strong maybe give this one a try.

A new experience for me: not sweet but fresh smelling biscuits. Never smelled something like this.
Perfect for cold weather, in hot weather it does not work well. I have lot of fun of the crazy and unique bottle! The life has to be a bit kitschy! LOVE IT!!
I agree, it can be used like unisex.

I absolutely adore Vivienne Westwood’s Boudoir, which makes it difficult to be fair with her other scents. I keep expecting something similar to Boudoir, or at least in the same category of blow your socks off masterpiece. Not yet. But I keep trying.
I first tried Anglomania: it is totally different from Boudoir and I am still working to define my relationship with it. It is assertive and very “un-girly” which I appreciate, but I do find it more challenging than Boudoir, almost more “intellectual” and less “instinctive”. I think my understanding of it will become clearer when the weather cools.
At first spray, Let it Rock seemed much closer in spirit to Anglomania than Boudoir and I was disappponted. But after a while I started to smell something very nice; softer, lemony, woody, floral, even a little powdery. It actually changes quite radically to something it would be nice to wear daily.
It is still more similar to Anglomania than Boudoir, but Anglomania has smokey, bitter, leathery notes that Let it Rock totally lacks. I am wearing one on each wrist, and after half an hour, Let it Rock has softened to a sweet, woody floral, while Anglomania remains bitter and sophisticated. Each is unique and surprisingly complex. Of the two, Let It Rock is definitely the less challenging.

This was a blind online buy for me and I was unsure wether I would like the smell of patchouli but knowing how I absalutely LOVE Vivienne Westwood perfumes, as each perfume, like myself, is induvidual and has a unique character all of it’s own. I am so glad I decided to go ahead and purchase it!
    WOW!!!
Hahahah I absalutely love this delicate, sophisticated scent.

I do LOVE this perfume on hot weather, daylight or evening, always a senses delight and it does feet in any circumstance.
Full notes are widely perceived on summer and do last the all day. On winter, notes stays “shy”, do not open widely. Citric tones, patchouli and soft powdery amber – they are gorgeous together, they do rock it!

I recall testing Let It Rock a few years ago. At the time patchouli was not a scent that I enjoyed, so I remember hurriedly returning the tester bottle to the shelf and walking away without thinking twice. I never wrote a follow-up review and knowing that I owed it to this fragrance to write one, I ordered a sample of Let It Rock.
It’s surprising how much our tastes can change. Let It Rock is now a fragrance that I thoroughly enjoy. My attitude towards patchouli has also changed.
This fragrance opens with a rather intense burst of patchouli and citrusy bergamot. It smells very green and menthol-like for at least the first few minutes, before settling into a smooth, slightly powdery heart.
The floral accords aren’t all that obvious in Let It Rock. If anything, there’s the slightest hint of jasmine, but it’s neither fresh nor delicate. Amber and patchouli tend to dominate the composition, providing a rich, somewhat resinous texture. To some reviewers it smells sweaty, however on my skin, it smells heavenly.
Let It Rock is a scent with a hint of aggressiveness. Although fem
