White Jeans Versace for women of Versace

Share:

Description

White Jeans was presented in 1997 as a chypre floral fragrance for women, designed by Bernard Ellena. Top notes are composed of juicy peach, spices, cumin, plum, raspberry, galbanum and orange blossom. The heart brings floral notes of jasmine, rose, ylang-ylang, carnation, gardenia, seductive tuberose and lily. Warm and balmy notes of sandalwood, vanilla, leather, cedar, cinnamon, spices, patchouli and tonka bean make the closer of this perfume. The bottle is white with a golden stopper, all packed in a golden can.

Sensual, gently intoxicating… this is a big, beautiful soft, sensual fragrance that should never have left the Versace Palace.
It is innocent sex… it heats up every now and again, hypnotising you, until you can’t get enough then gently disappears for a little while before starting all over again…
Men can’t get enough of this scent on a woman… it’s incredibly sensual, creamy but it’s all blended soo well and that dry down is sexual, animal but not dirty… you just want to keep smelling it…
White Jeans is a good name for it… you can dress white jeans up with Versace gold sandals and a silky soft cashmere scarf at night…
So you can discontinue the Red Jeans and the Blue Jeans instead, Versace… bring back your Queen of The Night.

I wore this for many many years. It was one of my top 5 perfumes! To me it smells like a softer version of Gucci Rush. I am not saying they are similar because I haven’t compared the notes side by side and I do not have WJ here to compare them both but I do remember this fragrance very well as I wore it throughout high school and even many years after that, I just kept repurchasing. It is creamy and well blended. Even though some people may not agree, to me this is an all year round perfume and also a safe blind buy (if you can still find it) because it smells delicious! Don’t be fooled by the white bottle though! This is not a refreshing or sparkling scent. This is a very creamy white floral with good sillage and longevity but not heady at all!

Definitely the most sophisticated Versace Jeans in my opinion. The leather and spices give it a lot of depth and smells niche. It does still have that little too busy on the notes vintage vibe though. I think it’s the carnation/galbanum/rose – but it’s not too offputting. Overall great for this era. Doesn’t last amazingly though.

After many fruitless searches trying scents at the perfume counter, I found my dream scent with the help of this site!
I spent the last year searching for this heady, enveloping mysteriously long-lasting layered perfume after catching it’s delicious scent on a garment I purchased.
Now that I have discovered what my dream scent is; I discover it is sold out everywhere I go! Is there anywhere in Canada it would be available? Has anyone out there bought it and found they didn’t like it? I found a sample online but they want $50. just to ship a .07 ml vial, then I’d pay customs and brokerage fees…and 30% exchange on the US dollar. Just not worth it.
If you live in Canada, or Florida, I could get it mailed. Thanks to the creators of this great website!!

This is for the vintage bottle I have. I love this scent. Its in the vein of bombastic fruity scent with beautiful florals with a great base. If you can handle bijan and opium with ease this is a little subtler. The dry down is lovely.
I recently tried a post 2000 and found it to be 80% lighter than the original. As a vintage lover and the prices for vintage I wouldn’t go back and ressurect this one.
Givenchy Dahlia Devin has a few notes in common but isn’t as lush if you are looking for something in the same vein in modern times. Dry down is lighter but similar.

They don’t make them as good as this anymore. This has a lot going on: white floral (tuberose, lily, gardenia, jasmine) spices, fruity peaches and plums, a raspberry, further floral scents of roses and ylang-ylang and woods and patchouli and vanilla. Leather. Cinnamon. This is like a fragrance that couldn’t make up it’s mind and wants to be everything to everyone: sweet and soft, strong and confident, gourmand and floral, smoky and spicy. It smells so different than any other fragrance I have. A warm summer and spring scent. I’m wondering if because of the white flowers this can be my wedding perfume. Lasts all day and the next. I love it. I have two bottles. Looks like a milk bottle. No one I know is wearing this!

Warm, spicy, almost kind of edible. Had this actually been edible, I would’ve put it on roasted chicken. Great sillage.

Having read a few reviews I thought: there is no wonder, it is a product of its own time. In 1997 there were many perfumes that reflect the time and a fashion. It was popular: strong, muskiness, some vanilla and flower hints. Everything should be strong, even white jeans, if it is ever possible. I also thought: back in a day we all tend to use stronger perfumes at night. When we used to go for night events such as night club- everybody smoked, even those who quit now for at least a decade.
Now; first of all it is prohibited to smoke inside restaurants, clubs or dance venues. Therefore, the necessity to use such perfume is gone, and perfumers had to find new and new formulas for nowadays. As for Versace Jeans- it is a product for someone, to remind some past tense in as good way.
I would call it overly bitter sweet. So what?

I want to blind buy Versace White Jeans because of its bottle and packaging.
Could someone tell me which smell of the other perfume similar to this one.
    Thanks

White Jeans is a poor choice of name for a spicy fragrance such as this, Black Jeans perhaps. i had it once, it was a gift and i never would have bought it for myself. i thought my bottle had gone bad, but after reading reviews i realise that it is just a very strong, overpoweringly masculine fragrance, at least on me anyway. i gave it away.

    RE-Review
No wonder they never made a Versace White Jeans for men… they didn’t have to. First spray: Patchouli-Jasmine blast. Drying process: Patchouli and floral bonding. Dry-down: Subtle fruits, vanilla spiced leather, creamy tuberose and airy gardenia. Conclusion: I like Versace White Jeans, but it was marketed to the wrong sex. How about no sex? I absorb it as a spiced white floral, something like a Tom Ford Private Blend. A multi-faceted olfactory with turrets. Masculine wafts one moment and feminine floral bursts the next.

Received a bunch of samples of this fragrance. Awful, pungent. Will never buy it.

Versace WHITE JEANS is quite a pleasant surprise after having tried a couple of middling Versace fruity florals on for size. This is a very wearable, wrist-sniffable oriental with a patchouli base. I especially like how the spices all swirl together with the galbanum, the patchouli, the leather and the woods.
There are many strong notes included here, but no one of them seems overwhelming, as any of them sometimes can be. So, although I catch a whiff of cinnamon up front, it then melds in with everything else completely camouflaged. The leather, too, is dark enough to add depth without disrupting the harmony of the composition as a whole.
I should add, however, that this is not a very floral perfume, and it seems to me far more oriental than chypre. Like other fragrances of this general demeanor, WHITE JEANS has a thick, viscous, slightly heavy feeling, medium sillage and good longevity, all of which make it best for wintertime.
I wouldn’t mind having a bottle of this!

I agree with Goshas review – it does have masculine notes in the drydown so I would wear this fragrance even thouogh its for a women . It smells luxorious on my skin too and it lasts 🙂
i like it and the bottle looks like something sent down from the greek gods

I agree, there is something quite coquettish about the scent, although I detect a tiny bit of something masculine in it also (after an hour or more). It is quite strong and rich on me (even luxurious) and quite mature. Although it is not outstanding fragrance, I do like it and would wear it from time to time if given a bottle :-D, but I don’t love it enough to buy or obsess about it.
Update: I am starting to think that it IS quite an outstanding fragrance after all. :-D. Somehow I seem to like it more and more and might even buy a bottle!

Used in moderation this is a wonderful scent for Autumn/Winter months. In summer I noticed that it’s borderline “sickly” on some people (me included). Not something for the office. More of an evening fragrance.

very mild, tame chypre, warmed by a bunch of spices. feels good in cool weather. it’s not as sharp as Dioressence let’s say, and it’s easier to wear, easier to find and easier to afford 🙂

Wait a minute I just washed it off & it still lightly lingers.
Now it actually smells much better.
I guess if you just use the tiniest (((& I mean tiniest))) drop of this, it is at its best

WoW these reviews are Way to kind.
This stuff does not work on me at all.
I actually can’t wait to wash it off!!
I definitely do NOT smell vanilla in this at all.The Chypre,Ylang Ylang & rose overwhelm me & actually make me sick.It also has a powdery smell like an antique powder in those round powder box’s with the big puff like my GREAT grandma had on her dresser.
It would go great with the DaraLeek clothing line from that movie Zoolander.
    YUCK 🙁

The vanilla notes are overwhelming at first but the drydown is soft and milky. Nice for colder days and officewear.

Smells like cappuccino and cinnamon-milky, mild and spicy. Suitable for autumn and winter, the vanilla adds warmth and the rose and the tuberose contribute to the romantic character of this fragrance.

White jeans is very spicy on me. At first I can only feel it to be a bit too masculine, maybe it would be nicer to sniff a man´s neck if he wore this than sniffing my own wrists. But the drydown gives me a sweet smell of vanilla and the spicyness is no longer so overwhelming. I think it´s a really nice perfume that makes me curious about Versace´s other jeans.
