Couple things here. First, the retail packaging resembles the fragrantica picture to the point that you know it’s the same product but it’s not the same package. No gold cap (clear plastic but it is still shaped nicely), no gold coloring on the bottle (clear plastic), and the label isn’t as ornate. I get the feeling that the above picture was for promotional/marketing purposes.
Secondly, this only vaguely resembles Perry Ellis’ excellent Black Vanilla Absolute. It’s not nearly as nice, polished, mature/masculine as BVA. It smells somewhat like it after dry down but is sweeter and more feminine. The alcohol in this smells like, well, alcohol and not boozy rum like BVA. No contest, BVA is better. If you’re looking for something similar to BVA (I was/am) this just isn’t it. Don’t get me wrong, this isn’t bad at all and I rather like it but it’s no dead ringer for BVA. Then again, this is much cheaper than BVA so it’s probably not fair to expect the same quality. I have the distinct feeling that BVA is a unicorn in fragrances. It pulls off boozy vanilla while still being wearable by guys. I haven’t found another like it.
This is not as sweet (but close!) as Molinard’s blue/purple bottle Vanille Eau de Parfum but just like Vanille Eau de Parfum it may be too sweet for males. In truth, I think this smells closer to Molinard Vanille than anything other fragrance. Again, I’m not sure guys can pull this one off. I think it’s not unisex but for the ladies.
Goes on with a fairly large blast of straight up alcohol but fortunately that goes away quickly. In my opinion, does not have a boozy component to it after the initial spray. If so, it’s slight. Not really powdery but just a somewhat simple, straight up sweet vanilla. Smell-wise, I think it stinks good! A nice, sweet vanilla like the kind my ex-girlfriend wore and smelled so awesome on her. Maybe a bit of cotton candy mixed in as well? Longevity is not great and sillage is just okay.
As a guy, I can’t recommend this to other guys. Too sweet. I can’t get away with this. But, I can wholeheartedly recommend this for females. It’s quite nice if sweet vanilla is your thing. Truly a great smelling, hardcore vanilla. Wonderful vanilla stink!
Hard to find in the States. Amazon carries it but is perpetually out of stock. I was excited to get this as voters said it was similar to BVA so I watched eBay and Amazon for a long time. Finally found it on eBay for $20 and jumped but noticed the very next day it was sold out again.

Can’t guess the sense of making (and buying) a “perfume” like this, that costs five euros and lasts five seconds.
They should sell this at 15 euros, but improve the formula; people would buy it all the same at that price, but at least would be satisfied.

This smells like white chocolate. a very sweet one.
For this price range i am impressed by the quality. But i can not deny i find it a little sickening. This is really for hardcore vanilla fans. This is not a faint fragrance.

I love this fragrance!it’s very sweet,very gourmand and cocooning,a genuine vanilla perfect for winter time! it is very similar to Perlier “Caribbean Vanilla” and similar to Police “Dark women”.In Italy it is a low cost fragrance, but, in my opinion, is good as other famous expensive vanilla fragrance. Try it! ; )
