Description

DAVIDOFF Amber Blend is the third opus to continue the DAVIDOFF Blend Collection, an exclusive line of eaux de parfum designed for true connoisseurs.

The DAVIDOFF Blend Collection is inspired by the life and philosophy of the brand’s founder, Zino Davidoff, who travelled the world to source its finest offerings. His passion for skilled craftsmanship, his devotion to exceptional materials and his appreciation of exquisite beauty ensured that the DAVIDOFF name became synonymous with refined quality and style. Today, the Blend Collection continues to embody the DAVIDOFF values of uncompromising excellence and elegance, offering rarefied blends of noble ingredients, presented in exclusive flacons.

Each of the fine fragrances in the collection celebrates a high-quality ingredient that evokes opulence and pleasure. Launched in 2014, the musky warmth of the Leather Blend is designed around a virile note of leather while the captivating Agar Blend, introduced in 2015, centres on one of the most sought-after ingredients – oud wood. This year, DAVIDOFF Amber Blend brings the prized radiance of precious amber to the luxurious collection. Exuding timeless sophistication, this new masculine fragrance delivers a unique and intensely sensorial experience.

Created by master perfumer Olivier Pescheux, DAVIDOFF Amber Blend is an oriental spicy fragrance with a radiant allure. Built around an incandescent amber accord, the scent is an enticing union of treasured and oriental notes. It opens with a warm and sensual spice mix of cinnamon and nutmeg, giving an initial invigorating vibrancy. At the heart, resinous amber fuses with succan absolute – a purified rum extract – for a rich and vibrant expression of masculinity. The luminosity of the amber is amplified by creamy sandalwood and mellow Peruvian balm to deliver an irresistibly sensuous signature.

“When developing this fragrance, my source of inspiration was a high quality palette of ingredients. I used some new beautiful raw materials that could sublimate and renew the emblematic Amber accord, such as the natural Succan absolute, still very rare and unique ingredient in perfumery,” says Olivier Pescheux.

The elegant Amber Blend bottle perfectly complements the collection’s refined look with its deep amber tone. The precious ingredients of the juice are carefully encapsulated in a refined bottle made of two delicate panes of glass, creating a distinctive groove along the flacon’s sides. The gold metallic plate and the gold and dark amber cap add to the feeling of understated luxury. In keeping with the distinguished design, the matching folding box has a lightly-embossed textured effect that enhances the sensorial journey and complements the sober grace of the enclosed flask.

The suave sophistication of DAVIDOFF Amber Blend is beautifully expressed in the print advertising campaign, which depicts the bottle against a glowing backdrop of fiery amber. The powerful image will transport you on a lavish journey of the senses. The Amber Blend flacon also stars alongside the DAVIDOFF Leather Blend and Agar Blend bottles in a captivating still-life image showcasing the entire DAVIDOFF Blend Collection.

Amber Blend is available in 100ml EDP bottles. Davidoff Amber Blend was launched in 2016.

Davidoff Amber Blend is in the same vein as the other members of the collection that I’ve tried, Leather Blend and Agar Blend, but with a fitting emphasis on the eponymous note of amber. It’s amber-intensive but very spicy as well, no doubt due to the inclusion of cinnamon, though the rum accord is sharp, as well, to my nose, the primary sweetness, then, coming from the resins themselves.
With the rum and cinnamon both in the mix, Amber Blend comes off a bit sharp, surely on the sharper side of sweet amber fragrances that I’ve tried. It’s sweet, yes, but emphatically, practically overwhelmingly spicy. One needs to like the rum and cinnamon just as much as the amber to appreciate the whole blend. Surely that could’ve been the intention in its composition, though, a relatively acerbic offering to the comparatively smoother Agar and especially Leather Blends.
Its performance is great, like Leather and Agar; it’s a dense, cold-weather-leaning option. Found at the right price, a bottle (standard size of 100ml) could be a nice acquisition that would ostensibly last a user a while. It appears to never have been made available in US markets and is only sold in the Middle East, so acquiring it in the states seems to be a matter of using a secondary market or intermediary.
Amber Blend is bold, well-done, and enjoyable, but is edged but out Agar Blend and especially Leather Blend.

I tried it couple of times in dubai, the starting smell is too heavy for me, i did not like it however when it settles down after half or one hour it becomes one of the best scents of a perfume.
Longevity and sillage are both amazing amazing.

Does anyone find oud in this??? It has leather for sure…it reminds me of the oud from the 24 gold…

Very similar to Leather Blend but with a little extra amber/resins. It really does smell like Davidoff used the same “base” for Leather Blend and Amber blend. I like them both though.
Both very dense and thick (thats what she said). Perfect for those cold winter nights.

This is my first amber-themed fragrance. I’m quite impressed with the spicy, smoky and sweetly olfactory feel of “Amber Blend”. Tho not original (as this frag is redolent of “Royal Amber” by S.T. DuPont), it has this undisguised niche quality as it ticks all the right boxes: longevity, projection and silage.
This would drive me to buy more Amber themed frags!
Currently wearing this at work! 🙂

Like the Leather Blend edition, this is another class act with high quality ingredients, and excellent performance. Again I think it’s niche quality, which is remarkable as you can pick it up in London at around only £75 for a 100ml bottle. This one is a touch more feminine smelling than the Leather Blend, making it more unisex. Extremely highly recommended for amber lovers (e.g. me)!

Quite impressed by it. Reminded me of Armani amber orient and myrrhe imperiale

Another hit from this Blend Line, this is very similar to myrrh imperial but less sharp and less smoky. The quality is definitely there, great juice and great presentation and it seems that they upgraded the sprayer!

I’ve received this as a gift, and I love it! It is a beautiful amber, quite spicy and smoky, very smooth and appealing. It is very very comfortable, the sillage is nice – just around me a few feet, and lovely enough to have received many compliments from people a few feet away, and it lasts extremely well..well into the evening from early in the morning. Really lovely – I suppose it’s on the masculine side, but it really suits me. Definitely up with my favourites. It gives me a feeling of strength and courage to go for it!
My husband loves it too, and it smells quite a lot more spicy and boozy on him. On me it’s more smoky, with a very smooth cinnamon and sandalwood. Beautiful dry-down, soft, yet lovely and rich.
    Definitely gorgeous!

Tried it last week in Dubai Mall. It’s a nice smoky well done amber with a hint of spiciness on top. Performance and sillage is in the average range but it’s a good intriguing fragrance. This will fall behind Leather Blend but definitely better than Agar Blend. Good attempt by the house considering the number of amber based perfumes from each and every house. It will not blow you away but it will definitely try to entertain you. It leans more towards masculine side but a woman with an attitude can pull this off.
