How did my picture get on the bottle?
I came upon this baby more than a year ago while researching an inexpensive alternative to the now reformulated Spicebomb – originally a brilliant creation, ultimately relegated to cinnamon bubblegum mediocrity. RIP.
But I think what sealed the deal for me were the additional comparisons to Creed’s Spice and Wood (incidentally my favourite Creed) and HiM by Hanae Mori (a wonderful spiced tea). Having worn and enjoyed all three, you can imagine my giddiness when I discovered that Lomani had something to offer that was reminiscent of them all, though at a significantly lower price.
But even after all the encouraging reviews, I was still hesitant to pull the trigger. That is, until Christmas came, and I thought to myself, what the hell, I love spicy frags, why not give it a go? And this is what I got.
Batch – 3G71P2. First off, the cap was extremely difficult to remove and it took the silver “Lomani” part with it to reveal the crimped atomizer. I guess that’s what you pay for. Now I just store it with the cap off. Whatever. Love the red atomizer though – reminds me of the one on Ferrari Uomo. Nice touch. And when I first sniffed it, my immediate thought was…whoa. Spicebomb. It was THAT apparent. Even on the first spray, it’s ridiculously obvious.
The opening is a fizzy sweetness from the amber, spices, lavender and grapefruit. 5 minutes in, the amber takes a back seat and allows the pepper to come through. Another 10 minutes and everything blends in nicely, while the white tobacco becomes noticeable at about the 30 min mark.
It’s fairly well blended actually and sweeter than I thought it would be. But the best part is that the sillage remains beautifully uniform. That means that no matter how the stuff changes on the skin, the wafts you get are always the same – and they smell like Spicebomb. I honestly don’t think that the average person would be able to tell the difference. And just WHAT were people thinking with that Spice and Wood comparison?
After wearing it for a couple of days, I can tell you that the performance is about average. Six sprays total with 2 on the shirt does the trick, and if you know how to wash your hands without going past the knuckles, the back of your hands is MONEY. The compliments on this baby are HIGH – what you would expect from what it’s copying. And here’s a quirk – every time I smell the atomizer, it just smells like grapefruit – a top note that never really disappears throughout and that gives it a slight fizzy kick.
So overall, I’d say that this was an excellent purchase. It’s sweet, it’s spicy and it smells like Spicebomb – exactly what I wanted – a great and inexpensive unisex option for the colder months.
Scent – 8/10
Longevity – 6/10
Projection – 7/10
Overall – 7.5/10 – Seriously though, I do look like that guy on the bottle…

This very pleasant. Peppery with amber and myrrh delivering a sweetness. I only get two hours of projection and two more of a skin scent. I wish it lasted longer, because I like it. I will report back after I wear Body and Soul with more than four sprays. I hope it will improve performance.
I did remove the labeling. It seems odd. The standard clear Lomani bottle looks better on the dresser than a body builder flexing.

This is a fantastic fragrance with spices and woody notes blended well. A little synthetic but that’s okay with me for the price of ₹450 or $8 for this….. highly recommend

Spice Bomb in a different bottle…at one tenth of the price

Beautiful smelling like the-one but more zesty. Zanziba will suit this one name wise. Very good buy at its price point. Very unique to.

Tested this today…and WOW ! I liked it a lot. I think it is more similar to Hanae Mori HiM,than to Spicebomb.
I could have purchased it today for like $15.00,I probably should of got it …lol….hope it is still in the shop, was the last one…

This does smell a lot like Spicebomb , it has that peppery sweet smell that spicebomb has. I want to point out that I believe spice bomb was reformulated. I ended up getting rid of my bottle because it didn’t have such great performance.. This one might be on par now with spicebomb in regards to performance

Wow. Just WOW. I enjoy Spicebomb greatly, as I do HiM and Eau Des Baux. This is very much in this same category for a fraction of the price. If anything, this smells even more like Spicebomb than SpiceBomb itself. Until having smelled this, I never noticed a certain sweetness and bitterness in the SB opening. I actually like Body and Soul BETTER! You would not be wasting money on this if you like SB. No way you would regret a blind buy. In fact, you’ll likely start to laugh when you smell this. Why? Because it is THAT good, and that similar. All for chump change: walking around money. Sillage is moderate, longevity is a good 6 hours, at which time it does become predominantly a skin scent. At this price? Buy 3 bottles for the price of one SB and reapply,

This is a good alternative to Spicebomb for those on a budget. While they do not smell exactly the same, they are close enough to warrant giving this a try. This is a quality fragrance and it only costs $14 on ebay for a 3.4 oz. That is crazy! Lomani has the best costs to quality ratio across their entire line up of any fragrance house in my opinion. The smell is not in the least bit synthetic. Projection and Longevity are average for me, but I can deal with average for $14. This is a definite buy if you like sweet spicy fragrances because for the money and the quality you can’t go wrong.

Nicely blended.
Smooth citrus top with overall sweet balmy aroma.
I do not get any similarities with blue de chanel whatsoever. But the dry down is similar to spicebomb but pepper plays minimal role.
The packaging is what let’s this down. If this had a expensive name written on top of it. This would be hyped up and talked about.
Top-smooth citrus
heart- myrrh and vanillic light tobacco.
Bottom- light amber vanilla combo.
Average performance.
Scent – 9/10
Wish it projected a little more.
Inexpensive but high quality.
Highly recommended.

I got my bottle of Lomani’s Body and Soul on a swap with Bigsly.(thanks man!:) When I first sprayed B&S on my hand, it immediately hit me and I said to myself “Whoa! Wait a minute, I’ve smelled this before” And I was racking my brain trying desperately to remember the scent it reminded me of!(and to my nose bore zero resemblance to Chanel’s Bleu, which I do own as well) At first I thought it was like a cross between 1Million and some other spicy frag. It wasn’t until I went into my room and did a spray of Spicebomb on my hand a couple days later, that I immediately made the connection!
So I went about testing them side by side and there is a pretty big difference initially when I sprayed them both….Spicebomb was slightly sweeter/tobacco and cinnamon, whereas B&S is a little less sweet tobacco/amber and pepper scent. But after an hour or two, their drydowns were pretty close IMO. I think B&S is a great/long lasting scent and definitely worth a try if you like scents along the lines of Spicebomb.(sweet/light tobacco and spice scents) Especially considering the price, as I believe Bigsly said he got this 3.4oz tester for under $10 shipped to him…that’s an outstanding value in my book.:)

This seems to be Lomani’s attempt at a Bleu de Chanel sort of scent. It’s certainly not identical, though I don’t remember BdC that well. What I remember is that it was a touch spicy and woodier or “harder” than this one is. At first there is strong grapefruit, pepper, and a woody quality (the lavender and musk are mild). Within the hour, the ambery base becomes obvious and the other elements recede, though certainly not entirely. There is moderate sweetness. I don’t get strong tobacco but more of a “hum,” and it may be imparting a bit of a sour quality, because the amber/vanilla isn’t straightforward. Overall, I think I like this better than BdC, but to be honest that’s not saying much. The problem is that they both come across to me as “mish mash” or pastiche type compositions. Generally, if I want a tobacco scent I want a strong tobacco note in it. The same goes for certain woods and myrrh/incense. The ambery quality is a bit stronger than I’d like here, though. Now to be clear, I bought 100 ml of this for less than $10 total, so at that price it’s an excellent value, but if you are never going to wear it then what good is it? I’ll certainly give this another wearing at some point (I used one spray to the chest this time and next time I’ll use at least two), as it smells natural and is technically competent, so I’ll update this review when I get around to it. If money is an issue for you I think you might want to sample this one before buying a full bottle of BdC, because from what I remember of BdC the composition is similar if not very similar.
UPDATE: An hour or more after application I get the comparison to Spicebomb. For me, though, the opening features strong and abrasive woods, some lavender, and “fuzzy” citrus, which does not remind me of Spicebomb at all. The drydown that is similar to Spicebomb is weaker, so I’d have to apply a whole lot of this to get that, and I just don’t want to endure an hour or more that I really dislike when I already have a bottle of Spicebomb, which I enjoy from beginning to end. If you don’t mind strong and rather crude wood notes, though, and want a “cheapo” Spicebomb type drydown, this is one to sample, but Spicebomb smells more multi-dimensional and natural to me. Also, why not buy the EAD version of Spicebomb at the dollar store? That’s what I did. It doesn’t last more than a couple hours, but it’s very close to SB from beginning to end, so I just reapply a few times, which is still cheaper than buying Body and Soul.
