This is a very nice classy long lasting scent. I find that most Ellen Tracy scents are. And if you shop
for them in the right place. They can be obtained for
a large discount. I like most of her perfumes.
I am always happy to find them at a discount when I can.

I did enjoy it when i owned it, A very nice modern floral scent, perfect for daily use especially in the work place, very descent longevity and silage for the price.

I finally tried this at Marshall’s. The bottle, however, looked like the original Ellen Tracy bottle with a flower sticker on the background. The scent is one I can live without, a very light simple English garden floral. Funny that I love Provacative Woman, which I find modern and slightly aquatic. I see that it gets comparison points.

Yesterday I bought a mini bottle of inspire from a local perfume shop.this is the first and only Ellen tracy perfume I’ve ever seen.the only reason I chose this one was that I wanted to try something new without paying much for it so when SA told me that I can have mini bottle of this one and also a mini of Anna sui love by paying 6.5$ I immediately said yes
I was worried about it’s age.it looked very old and I thought that it has been stored in that hot, dusty shop for years so it’s scent has probably turned but luckily It’s totally fine
When I saw it’s notes I didn’t know what to expect as I dislike carnation, melon and overly citrusy scents while I like other flower notes in it’s pyramid and musk.I was lucky in this case too.it smells nice on my skin
citruses aren’t acidic and sour.I can’t detect carnation at all, melon is there but just a small amount of it and is well blended with other notes so it doesn’t give the scent an overly aquatic vibe which I was afraid of
It smells like a blend of lovely flowers(peony and white florals),light watery fruity notes and a light and clean musk.it reminds me another perfume I have and like.oscar de la Renta intrusion edt.they have lot in common but I prefer intrusion
Ellen tracy inspire is not earth shattering.I can live without it but I would be happy if I had a big size bottle instead of my mini and I would gladly wear it
Considering it’s cheap price,it’s a good and recommendable perfume.it’s clean, refreshing and safe.a good choice for daily use in spring and summer.it’s easy to wear and ageless.nothing is overdone in it and it doesn’t smell cheap or juvenile.there’s even some sort of ladylike vibe going on here that hand in hand with it’s inoffensive scent, makes it a versatile perfume.you can wear it for almost all day events and on me It’s impressively longlasting but sillage never passes moderate.I thought it’s going to be very light and I’m happy to see it’s not a faint scent such as some others in this genre.I prefer it to girly, pink floralfruitys or overly citrusy or aquatic spring/summer fragrances
If you see it for a good price and you’re into light but not faint, clean and simple floral scents with a slight fruity, watery undertone give it a try
    Edit:
    I have changed my mind
Now I’m happy that I just have a mini of this. There’s that sharp melon tang in it which bothers me.it’s a pity because it could be a lovely perfume without melon,a very good choice as a workplace perfume in summer.melon can act much worse on my skin and to be honest it’s not that bad or too prominent here but still it’s zing distracts me from fully enjoying beauty of delicately sweet refreshing scent of flowers-citrusfruits-musk.I’m going to use up my mini though and considering how longlasting it is,even this tiny bottle can serve for couples of wearings

Inspire perfume by Ellen Tracy is a very ladylike
scent. Nice bottle. Lasts for a while and I think it is
a good all time scent. You can find this on Ebay for a
reasonable price. In certain stores her scents can be
much more pricey. I guess it depends where you buy them.
I generally like Ellen Tracy fragrances. This one is a favorite. I would recommend this one.

I really like this fragrance a lot! It is very nice to wear on its own as it is light, floral, and a bit sweet. It kind of reminds me of the smell of fresh sugar cane. Maybe that’s a combination of the honeysuckle and melon.
I was inspired (excuse the pun) to buy Inspire from reading post in one of Suhaesa’s layering fragrances threads. Several people commented that this was a good layering scent to freshen up other perfumes and they were right! I got a bottle for a very low price – not much more than $10.

Inspire definitely does NOT smell like Charlie and anyone who thinks it does must have an incredibly bad sense of smell!
Inspire is actually a really lovely floral fragrance that is fresh, clean, feminine and it smells more expensive than what I paid for my bottle of it! I managed to get a hold of a bottle of it a few years ago as a blind buy and fell in love with it. However, it’s a lot harder to find it online now unfortunately – certainly here in England – presumably because it may have been discontinued but I’m not sure.
It’s a great anytime, anywhere perfume with good longevity.
This is one of my best blind buy perfumes!

I have to jump in here because in my opinion, this couldn’t be further from Revlon Charlie, at least the original Charlie. It’s not even in the same zip code. This is light and flowery-aquatic and unoffensive, whereas Charlie is huge and powerful and hideous. There are a hundred Charlies, so maybe one of them is similar, but not regular Charlie. Anyway, Inspire is fleeting and quite boring, not offensive but really uninteresting. The name makes it an oxymoron, because it is anything but inspiring.

For blind purchases, other sites compare this to Charlie.
If six people compare this to Provocative Woman, I’ll pick this up for sure if I come across it!
Update: I found this in a new bottle and finally sampled it. It’s the Ellen Tracy original bottle with yellow carnation print. I find it to be halfway like Estee Lauder Pleasures with a green note.

I wish I’d paid more attention to the Longevity and Sillage on this one. Fortunately it was a cheap ebay deal. Nothing offensive….Just nothing much in way of a scent.

I wore this and a close male friend said that I “smelled how a woman should smell like.”
A beautiful floral, great to wear on hot summer nights. It lasted all day on me, and the sparkly flower notes melt into soft musk.

nice average everyday white floral, with longevity of about 4 hours on me. nothing outstanding or new, just a good day and work scent. very sweet from the white florals especially the gardenia and a very slight scent of lemon at the end. the bottle is a bit annoying as its top heavy and it tips over often.

Ellen Tracy INSPIRE is a perfect example of why buying fragrance for people as gifts is a dangerous undertaking, as likely to be appreciated as it is to be regretted. INSPIRE is a well-balanced floral composition to my nose. The problem is that it contains the rendition of peony that makes me feel rather ill at ease whenever I encounter it. I suspect that I may have an allergy to this particular peony, though I do not blow up like a balloon and turn bright pink when it hits my skin, as my sister who is severely allergic to seafood does if she even gets near someone who has seafood on their plate. Slipping her a “fish micky” could literally kill her–that’s how allergic she is.
Although I definitely do not at this point need Poison Control, I cannot wear this peony. I am confident that INSPIRE would be a fine choice for those who already love and wear peony frags. But better to do some covert boudoir research before gifting this one blind.

Its a daytime scent, very clean and ladylike but more citrus than fruity floral in my opinion. I prefer Happy Fizz for citrus because this one faded in three hours and it changed on my skin as the day wore on. It is very sharp in my opinion. People say that this is hard to find, I found it in New York on discount at a perfume store. I bought 4 perfumes and they offered me one more with 50% off and I chose this one. I don’t like Ellen Tracy’s fashion wear but I try not to hold that against the scent.

Inspire is quite pleasant a nice fruity floral everyday smell for when you don’t want to stand out or offend others. Crisp, flowery, fresh . . . like many others. A linear citrusy floral bouquet that has renicarnated time and time again. Not only in perfumery, but I’m also talking car fresheners, hand sanitizers, shampoos, etc etc
And I agree with barbiot; there is a little bit of bitterness on my skin as well. I think this comes from the combination of sour citrus with spicy carnation with juicy melon. Not terrible, but a little bit distracting.
Anyway, Inspire isn’t very bad, but as far as unoffensive florals go, there are so many options that IMHO there are better ones out there.

This is a real crisp floral. Very sweet. I love it a lot. Its one of my favorites in the Ellen Tracy Collection.

Inspire is a very lovely, smooth, fresh, clean, floral / fruity scent which to me stands out head & shoulders above a lot of more run-of-the-mill floral scents. I’m not normally a big fan of floral perfumes but I really love this because it isn’t overdone and is less generic than many other florals such as Pleasures (bleeurgh!).
I think there’s something quite special about this perfume. It’s subtle but has great staying power and is one of those perfumes which I get a slight whiff of every time I move around and which surprises me with its loveliness. I wonder what the nice smell is and then I realize it’s me! I wish it was more easily available to get hold of in England though (*if anyone knows where to get it from in the UK please let me know!!).
Inspire is a REALLY nice scent and I love it. :-))

It smells something “bitter” i think:( This note doesn’t accord with it’s floral notes and even it covers them with a “bitter” layer… I was ordered it without having smelled and i’m really disappointed:(

This is not a usual style for me, but , I like it! The fragrance has all sorts of notes and combinations to be palate pleasing! The white flower notes produce a sensation of carrying a boquet or wearing an expensive corsage.
The honeysuckle is very pure-exactly how I remember the wild honeysuckle growing in my home town. The melon is actually juicy, lightly sweet, and combined with the lemon, it produces a touch of fresh zing! In this perfume, you can smell the notes individually, and you can smell different combinations of all the notes with each breath! The sandalwood and musk basenotes are not pronounced.
