I agree with DCH in the review below, this is a bit of a nothing scent.
Don’t get me wrong, it has a strong opening and lasts fairly well, it’s just…boring to me.
I actually forgot I was wearing this within 2 hours of applying.
I think there might be a note in this I’m not keen on, but to be honest, after the opening it’s tough for me to discern any particular notes as its kind of a dull blend.
I get why people say it’s a safe office scent but there’s plenty more interesting and adventurous fragrances out there that can fit in that setting.
Kiton Black is a much more complex scent than Kiton Man.
Weirdly, this does smell like Green Irish Tweed from the nozzle, so maybe that’s where the comparisons are made. It smells nothing like it once sprayed.

No idea who started GIT comparison to this but it can’t be any further from the truth. This is way different from GIT/Cool Water/Tres Nuit. Not dissing GIT in anyway but Kiton men is classy and great for office, and is closer to Fahrenheit.

This scent is like a mixture of a ton of amazing fragrances, actually it smells like Bleecker Street mixed with Green Irish Tweed vibe, not that similar to GIT neither Aventus just it has that kind of a vibe but it is pretty similar to Bleecker Street with a slight Fahrenheit gasoline vibe in the backgroung, really elegant, high quality and truly a classic

heard alot about this, was told it had a kind of aventusy green irish tweed type of vibe… i finally bought a bottle and let me tell u, this stuff smells 1000% nothing like either aventus or GIT its not even remotely similar… not even .0001% close to either of them… in fact to my nose it almost a mont blanc individuel type of smell… just another overhyped soapy/floraly smelling fragrance.
the green grassy vibe you’ve heard about is completely non existent.. one of the notes listed is pineapple but there is absolutely nothing pineapple about this fragrance…
ive also heard this being compared to farenheit because of this kind of gasolinish after smell it has.. ive never smelled farenheit but 1 thing i can say is that i do get the gasoline kind of vibe from this…
    my final thought on Kiton..
it is not a bad fragrance, its actually kind of pleasing. very soapy… however, i do feel that this fragrance has been 100% misrepresented by majority of the ppl who have talked about it… if u want a cheap alternative to GIT go buy a bottle of cool water, or aspen. if u want a cheap alternative to aventus go get a bottle of al haramiain, or insurrection..
if u buy this bottle in hopes that it will smell like either of those 2 fragrances u will b dissapointed 100% guaranteed

I have had this for three years now and keep trying it to see if I am missing something here.Well I have come to the conclusion that I am not.To me it’s just a bland Violet and Musk nothing else. The comparison to Fahrenheit only confuses me more. All reviews are subjective to owns own taste but Kiton does nothing for me.I am not a fan of GIT either but that is miles ahead of this.

    Sentence Summary:
A weird mix of Green Irish Tweed and Aventus with an off putting Gaseous note throughout.
Right, this is a tough one. I get a bit of Green Irish Tweed initially, then it transitions to a vaguely Aventus-ish dry down as others have said. Nothing wrong with that, eh? But there’s something else there that wrecks it for me. It’s a kind of gaseous/petroleum note in the background, similar to the one in Farenheit, but whereas it works in that Fragrance, in Kiton Men, well, it just hangs about like a bad smell. It actually reminds me of the odour you experience when getting your teeth drilled at the dentists for a filling or root canal treatment. Not a great association.
    Berating rating 4/10

Like many of us I’m sure, Coach Rob had Kiton on my wishlist for almost 2 years. I waited around until I found it for a steal and boy I was not let down.
This stuff RADIATES. So fresh, classy, and clean. Smells unique, classic yet does not feel dated.
2-3 Hours solid projection (leaves a nice scent bubble/cloud wherever you go) and can be detected on skin for up to 8-9 hours.
    I wouldn’t rock this <50 degrees F or >75 degrees F, so that’s the sweet spot.
VERY versatile. Nice office scent but can also be worn on casual nights out or even formal occasions.
    8/10 🙂

Kiton is such a great and underrated fragrance. It’s often described as “Fahrenheit light” for the summer, but I think that comparison doesn’t do it justice. I’ve recently come across Mancera Wind Wood and have been wondering ever since why Wind Wood seems so familiar. It’s the violet opening. Both Kiton and Mancera have a strong violet note. They’re very classy scents. If you’re looking for a nice fragrance that isn’t ubiquitous and will get you lots of compliments, go for Kiton or Wind Wood. Both can be worn all-year-round, which makes them very versatile.

Something tells me not to write this review. This sophisticated gem is best enjoyed while it keeps flying under the radar. Don’t buy it.
This is just a fabulous scent. Classy and the definition of ‘all season, all occasion’. Synthetic yes, clearly but absolutely classy and never cheap.
The silver bullet in my wardrobe. And that’s also what the bottle resembles to me.

I blind bought this one and the notes i smell is a strong violet, musky scent. It reminds me of the smell you get in a barber shop. Not bad at all.

Never heard of Kiton until I was in a high end quality fragrance store and noticed it. I tested it out and it became a favourite of mine. It’s my signature.

What a nice, slightly citrusy sweet, more so musky, with an aromatic feel kind of fragrance. This really brings back faint memories of my teenage years!

Very pleasant, clean scent. I’m actually smelling a subtle medicinical smell that’s similar to when you open a band-aid to patch yourself. It’s not a bad smell!
Very versatile, non-offensive, clean smell. There’s also something stuffy/heavy and it cranks me away from this one — this is just a personal preference.
I can confirm that Al Haramain Étoiles Silver smells similar to this.

I was going through my fragrances to single out scents that I haven’t worn recently and get rid of them, when I came upon this. Honestly, I don’t even remember when I got this one. So I sprayed it once on my wrist, and decided that it definitely has it’s place in my cabinet.
I don’t get any “floral” or “powdery” accords on my skin at all. For me, it is very animalic and musky, with the woody notes and citrusy notes coming in equally at second. For me it’s a muskier, less woody/spicy version of the original Abercrombie & Fitch Fierce.
As far as usage, I think it would be best used in temperate climates; spring is the best but can be used in summer and fall depending on the temperatures. I would definitely use this on a summer night, which would help with the slightly above-average projection (don’t be trigger-happy with this one, the musk is pretty potent). If you live in a region that doesn’t have a snowy winter this could be pulled off year-round. This scent is pretty versatile occasion-wise, but I will use this the most in a casual setting and for the sporadic night out (in spring or summer); for a work setting I’ll go with something less animalic, while for formal events something like Egoiste Platinum will be a similar but better option.
All-in-all, I really like this fragrance. It is definitely one of my favorite, if not my favorite animalic scent. Definitely test on your skin to see if you get any floral notes, but for me it’s pure musky citrusy wood.

Clean but not soapy, fresh but not aquatic, pineapple is listed as a note, but it’s not fruity. I get a strange plastic note until the drydown, but I kind of like it. This is a very easy to wear, suitable for any occasion fragrance. Sometimes after spraying this, I think I should have put on something else. But then, I usually get compliments on how good I smell, so I’m glad I wore it.
It’s citrus-y and woodsy. There are definitely florals in there, but they are not that prominent to my nose. It lasts a long time and I’m glad I have a bottle. Good stuff.

Kiton is not what it use to be…
I recently ordered a new bottle and when I received it,
I immediately noticed the box was different(new design)
I then said “uh oh” I hope they haven’t reformulated it??? Well ladies and gentlemen, sad to report that the reform virus got this one too… Gone is the pineapple, and gone is the musky base now. This fragrance use to project just right. Now, the projection is very weak and very soft…
I will only buy old stock of this fragrance from now on.

Tried this years ago, thought it smelled like Creed Green Irish tweed or Chez bond.. Revisited today and I noticed it has a metallic smell. This reminds me of one of those Tommy Bahama or Nautica fragrances. I could see this being a crowd pleaser

I do not find it so ‘great. It is too citrusy for a floral . 5 / 10

Smell wise I thought this smell was decent but nothing amazing. It opens up smelling like a mix of 60% GIT,30% Fahrenheit and 10% Boss bottled night.
Once this dries down it loses that Dewey freshness that gives it similarities to GIT and thenbecomes a smoother but also more soapy and aromatic version of the opening.
To describe this scent I’d say it’s a fresh, masculine, slightly soapy, slightly floral scent that will remind you of many fragrances you have smelled before. It’s nothing original but it is very pleasant !
Performance on this is great ! It lasts 6-10 hours and projects very well for an hour and then you have a decent scent bubble for the duration of the fragrance. It’s not the biggest projector (although decent) but this leaves a very nice scent trail !
Overall rating — 8 out of 10 ! This fragrance is above average in every category but nothing that cracks my top 5 favorites.
This cologne has gotten me compliments and this is gf approved which is a big plus 😀

It can be a bit frustrating for frag collector when something you find amazing/interesting does not get any attention in public.
AND something as simple as this gets all the love!
    So many complements.
Same vein as GIT and cool water.
Whoever first mentioned about the slightly oily quality is bang on about this.
    Very simple and charming.
Very versatile, all season, most occasion frag.
    Good performance
I don’t find it particularly interesting but it just WORKS!
Sadly I wear it when i want to be an attention whore :p glad it’s not all the time.
I would say, this is a perfect lunch date kinda cologne.
    7/10 personally
    10/10 objectively

Update: Kiton needed to sit in my collection a while before I could truly appreciate the majesty of the scent. First, I’ve never been a big fan of that lavender amberishy type vibe in a scent. Fahrenheit has it and I love Fahrenheit, but I don’t reach for it much. So, that’s kind of how Kiton ended up because it share that note a bit. Honestly, when I was smelling Kiton for the first many times I wore it, this is what I thought. 1st 15-20 minutes – Ok, I get the Green GIT vibe. Is that some Pineapple I smell? 30 min – 4 hr – Now this kind of went to something lavender-ambery. What happened to my GIT vibe?
I have to say The GIT to Fahrenheit development with a pinch of pineapple just didn’t hit me right because I kept smelling all those other scents and really wasn’t taking Kiton on its own. Today, when I wear Kiton, I kind of realize it doesn’t have the loudness of any of the other cologne’s I’ve compared it to. The blend is fresh and subdued. So, it’s really just reminiscent of these other frags, but in its own blend.
Now, I kind of get that, “Hey, Fahrenheit and GIT with a pinch of Aventus”…….in a designer blended frag really ain’t all that bad.
I can see why many would make this a signature. I can see this being an all season all purpose monster. It’s grown on me. What can I say?

when I first got this I thought I had been cheated. It was so light I thought it was a fake.Nope. My nose just needed to adjust. This is one of those where sometimes I like it and sometimes I don’t. When I like it it’s because it creates a nice soft scent bubble you can almost physically feel: soft pillowy muskyness… when I don’t like it it’s because the woodsy drydown sometimes smells like ass to my nose lol. People say I smell great but to my nose sometimes it just smells like unwashed ass haha… but only sometimes. Mainly this is a great light friendly scent.

I would like to say that comparing this to Cool water is a sin and should be punished with the total destruction of the collection..LOL…Just kidding…this is a much better, smoother and less generic/cheap smelling juice…nice for the office, dates and more formal encounters…highly versatile and pleasant I would say…

Combine Green Irish Tweed with Fahrenheit and add a pineapple note to it and you may have something along the lines of Kiton Men. And I mean that as a compliment! This is a fantastic fragrance that seems to always fly *just* below the radar. While it generally receives high marks and praise from enthusiasts and those who just happen to be familiar with it, Kiton has never made a big splash in the fragrance community. Why it hasn’t is beyond me. This is such a smooth, classy, and timeless fragrance, almost in a genre all its own a la Fahrenheit or Egoiste, and it is extremely versatile as far as age, season and occasion. Very easy to wear, Kiton Men opens with a sort of fruity pineapple note set to the backdrop of a petroleum accord similar to the Dior classic, though not as overpowering and intense. It creates a sort of contrast of light and dark, sweet and industrial. Still, its freshness tends to dominate and creates a kind of crisp, unique aroma, different, yet composed and sharp enough to possess the rare quality of a signature scent. As it develops Kiton loses some of its pineapple edge (though it never really fades completely) and becomes more of a powdery musky violet, with just a touch of sweet warmth holding it all together. Its dry down is very reminiscent of Creed’s Millesime base, particularly as its found in Green Irish Tweed, though i almost want to say that Kiton does it even better. Something about the tenacity of the powdery tonka-laced musk really takes it to the next level; while it’s in the base and occurs during the drydown phase of the fragrance, it’s quite hearty, making it more than just a skin scent and something you can really sink your teeth into. It feels even rounder than GIT’s base and perhaps a little deeper. Projection is nice–not too strong but definitely noticeable. Longevity is 8 to 10 hours.
This is a definite thumbs up and worthy of a blind buy. Guys looking for a signature scent should absolutely check this out. As I mentioned earlier its quite unique without sacrificing any qualities that make it appealing to the masses as well. Furthermore ,it’s super-versatile and sold at a reasonable price.
Side Note: One reason why I stayed away from Kiton Men for so long was the inconsistency of the reviews. Some say it’s fresh and sporty, others dark and serious. A few reviewers believe this is a ‘suit and tie’ type of fragrance while one mentions wearing it around the supermarket. Some focus on the pineapple, others on the petroleum. It’s TRUE–Kiton is all of these things and none of them! It needs to be worn to be understood. It’s one of those rare fragrances that really sits in a dimension all its own, kind of like Fahrenheit, Kouros, A*Men, Dior Homme, Habit Rouge, etc. But where it differs from theses other fragrances is that it’s a SAFE SCENT. Guys, don’t be afraid to buy this blindly if you can’t sample it. You’re more than likely to enjoy it, and at the very worst you might just find it a little boring. But if you’re on the fence at all about it, and have been thinking about getting a bottle, I’m telling you…just do it! You can blame me if it doesn’t work out for you. 😉
The other reason I avoided this–I’m embarrassed to admit–was because of the kind of ugly, bland bottle. Kiton Men could seriously do with a bottle upgrade (I mean come on, look at it). But trust me–the bottle doesn’t do this great fragrance justice, so don’t worry about it.

When I think of Kiton , I think of a super fresh and floral citrus blast up front after one sprays… I defiantly see the comparison of GIT and CW but this is defiantly no substitute, that’s for sure. Only a similar vibe.
This really is a great quality fragrance. It’s defiantly up there with the best bangs for the buck. I enjoy how it’s not linear. I am not a fan of anything floral sticking out period. This is different, I feel like the floral notes are activating the citrus notes (this is where people see the GIT vibe) but there’s something else very unique going on in the background..
This is for sure a signature scent. It’s soft and subtle but classy and has a I’m here vibe, just not in your face about it.
I haven’t had this long so this review is leaning towards a first impression more than anything. Defiantly full bottle worthy. I will update this review when necessary but this is what I got for now
    Scent 8/10
    Projection 7/10
    Longevity 8/10
    Uniqueness 8.5/10
    Quality 8.5/10

I just wanted to agree with Brent’s comments below. I can’t write a full review because I just sprayed it for the first time. But yeah, this particular sample/formulation almost smells like leather to me. It smells dark, masculine and in the sort of genre of fahrenheit. Not to say it smells like fahrenheit completely, but its in a similar category. It has this sort of oily, dark, leather accord in there mixed with some violet and other notes. To me it comes off more rich and deep, masculine and a little dirty but a little fresh as well. I kind of like it on my first impression. Lets just say fahrenheit is my favorite fragrance lol

This brilliantly captures the “here and now” of that in-between period of mid-90s to mid-00s, which is very refreshing. And eau de cologne, chypre, aromatic, aquatic, citrus, woodsy, everything feel that’s perfectly balanced and compliment-fetching because it’s (duh) made by the EL company. None of the components are typical. All are harmonious. All of them belong together on the same beach. The eau de cologne feel is clean, the chypre is natural and understated, the aromatic is subtle, the aquatic is beach-like clean in the manner that Erolfa is dirty, the citrus is lemony, and the woods add substance rather than an added coat of scent. This is well worth it. A wonderful period for fragrance. The eyes light up with the “What are you wearing?” response. You’ll feel confident and happy wearing it, and that’s what really matters.

I’ve been wanting to sample this one for a long time and I finally managed to find it in Belgium recently, as I’ve never seen it in the UK.
Kiton Men is a combination of some of my favourite elements coming together to make quite an aloof fragrance. I say that because I find it to be a mixture of fresh fruit and musk with violets and a woody base. Chypre is a good description for sure and I think the composition is perfectly balanced to accommodate for lots of notes which come together well to create a memorable fragrance.
So Kiton Men impressed me, very nearly to the point of purchase but not quite. I wish I’d have got my hands on this in the 90’s because I would’ve definitely rocked it. Projection and longevity were average .
Update: Just felt I needed to update this review after finally finding a store which stocks this in the UK, and having an opportunity to sample it more readily. It’s a very classy affair and I still stick to much of what I said above, however I have neglected to mention the animal power of musk in the opening 20 mins or so. It works really well with that fruity pineapple note makes this fragrance more serious than your average playful fruity/citrus/musk.

I had the strangest experience with this fragrance. I put it on my skin randomly in a store whilst checking out some other fragrances; roll on several hours and this conspicuous looking fragrance was far and away the best fragrance I tried that day. Actually, I’d go so far as to say this is how I have always wanted to smell. I bought the bottle a couple of days later and was extremely happy with my purchase.
Things get a little weird when it comes to compliments, this is by far the most divisive fragrance I have ever experienced. I put it on in the morning before work and later that night, whilst at a BBQ (smoke everywhere), people could still smell it on me. One girl having a conversation a few metres from me said she could smell me and It was exactly how all men should smell. She said it was perfect. My wife, however, told me she hated it. She would sniff my neck and then recoil and screw her face up. She told me it reminded her of when she worked in an old folks home. There was a mixture of old lady perfume, industrial cleaners and that “old people smell”. She told me I smelled like a dead old lady.
Now, that’s a pretty damning verdict from the only critic that actually matters, but to be fair, she brought some friends in who also agreed with her. They said I didn’t smell “manly” and that they got the dead old woman reference. One or two others enthusiastically told me that I smelled amazing, so it seems to be a love/hate thing
I’m pretty disappointed that my wife hates this fragrance, as i wanted it to be my signature. To me, it’s perfect; and if nothing else, the fact it was still catching peoples attention at 9/10pm when I had sprayed it in the morning speaks wonders for its quality and longevity.
I love it, but the wife doesn’t.

    A favorite.
Very well rounded, sticks around for a long time but does not scream. Leaves a memorable scent trail, I’ve had a couple of women follow me around a grocery store in the scent trail.
Starts out strong, a pixelated citrus, pineapple-like with some lemon. Once that calms down the Lily of the Valley and Violet dance around a fruity sweetness, likely from the Tonka stepping in without being noticed.
The slight musky drydown is very similar to the Creed Ambergris note. There has been a few times where I’ve caught myself convinced I wore GIT that day, only to remember it is Kiton I have on.
This should be a classic Chypre, but its not.
    9/10, easy.

Just so nobody else is mislead like I was, this stuff smells NOTHING like Green Irish Tweed. Kiton has a violet note once it starts to dry, and so does GIT, but sharing a single note in the drydown with another fragrance means very little to the overall smell. This comparison is about like me saying Brut smells like Acqua di Gio because they both contain lemon. Kiton also is not green to me, or light and fresh. Acqua di gio is light and fresh. Kiton is more like Fahrenheit. That comparison I understand. Very musky, spicy, a tad dark…I was expecting this light fresh green aquatic…NOPE. Its not bad I guess, but very misrepresented by 90% of the reviewers.

This fabulous fragrance was introduced to me when I went to get some more Hugo Boss. I fell inlove with the Kiton immediately and have been using it ever since and I shall always keep it as one of my summer fragrances. I get great compliments from men and woman about the Kiton and I find for me it has a good longevity. Sweet yet sophisticated fragrance. You can’t go wrong with this one in my opinion.

    Fresh Scent In A Tuxedo – ★★★★
    How does it smell?
Think of a hybrid between Creed Green Irish Tweed and Creed Aventus, minus the heavy birch smokiness and leather, and you’ll be pretty close. Kiton Men reeks of refinement with bitter-sweet florals sweetened with bergamot, lemon and pineapple. Musky violet flowers highlight the heart of Kiton Men, eventually being joined by a familiar but pleasant oakmoss, cedar and tonka backdrop. The end result smells fresh, sophisticated and you could even say sexy. Kiton Men is freshness in a tuxedo.
    Performance and seasons?
If you’re looking for a sillage bomb, this isn’t it. Refinement is Kiton Men’s ace in the hole and it’s played again here. Longevity is good, this easily lasts me the entire workday. Projection and sillage are firmly planted in the middle, though I get constant whiffs of this throughout the day (even well into the evening) but you’re not going to leave a big scent trail. This is a gentleman’s fragrance in every way.
Definitely a fragrance for year round and easily signature-worthy, the same way Chanel’s Pour Monsieur could be a man’s one and only bottle. I wear this more in the spring/summer and fall.
    Is it any good?
This is one of the most refined, luxurious smelling fresh scents I’ve ever put my nose on and I find it equally as satisfying as Green Irish Tweed for instance. If you value refinement, class and in this case uniqueness in your fragrances, Kiton Men is a must try. Definitely under most people’s radar, but why is a mystery to me. Highly recommended.

this is one of those fragrances that everyone seems to have a distinct outlook on.
    my experience with it is…
it starts of with a semi green slightly sweet sage/violet and pineapple blast. very refreshing!
kinda like that first sip of a fizzy fanta drink. just not as sweet as a soda. a very mild sweetness.
the pineapple last though out most of the life span of this fragrance and slowly fades away at the end.
after a 30-45 minute mark the top note drys down to a light musky and clean cedar smell. to my nose cedar is a soft and sweet smell already so they go together very well. it does have a kinda scratchy effect through out it’s life and i think that is the oakmoss or could still be the sage holding on.
in this fragrance i find that it has just a hint of florals. there is a little lily of the valley in this but not overwhelming and very classy.
this scent reminds me of something you would wear during a more dressed up situation. anything from a suit and tie to just a nice dress shirt and some slacks. it is versatile and could be worn with anything at almost any time of the year.
it just exudes sophistication and makes me think of it as a scent to wear during those times of need.
i give this one higher ratings cause it just says quality all around.
longevity and sillage are really good on me.
and the quality like i said is up there.
my rating of this is 8 out of 10.
definetly a classic scent and classy but simple fragrance.
** just my opinions on this fragrance.
    hope you enjoyed.
    thank you.

Kiton Men opens with a fresh, light citrusy scent. The lemon is quite prominent! Soon the fruity notes evanesce, and the florals become the stars. It gives the wearer a feeling of cleanliness. Once it all settles, the perfume is musky, woody, and slightly salty-aquatic. There is an air of nature about it. Kiton Men is a likable fragrance with good longevity.

I have not smelled this in a number of years, possibly 10, but at the time I smelled it I thought it was the best smelling men’s fragrance EVER. It was tasteful and unique and smelled like nothing else I had ever smelled at the time. I got it for my boyfriend but ended up wearing it myself because I just couldn’t stop smelling it. When I just see the name “Kiton” I immediately think “mmmmm”. As a matter of fact, I think I may go see if I can find a sample to purchase to revisit this heavenly scent again….

A masculine fragrance, ahead of its time, which is sexy and sporty with good projection and longevity..
    I applied 6 heavy sprays
0 – 4 hours. 1.25 foot projection. This is man in a bottle- sexy and very sporty but I most associate this with a man in a suit doing Sales..Violet with small fruitness, some musk with a remote creamy tonka bean, but no notes really stand out as this is a concoction. Ages 26- 38. A similar fragrance to this is Moschino Forever EDT Pour Homme which is 60% the same, with the difference being that Moschino has a much more tangy fruit edge.
4 hours – 6 hours – 4 inch projection. Tonka bean smoothness comes out a little more
    6 hours – 7.5 hours – 2 inch projection
7.5 hours – 9 hours. Close to skin
    Good
