Oh how I wish there were more depth to this perfume! Especially because I have the matching lip balm and I love honey and cream and the idea of being enveloped in the scent of both is just so wonderful. It reminds me so much of BB’s Warm Vanilla Sugar, or Pink Sugar and those scents were so young and too sweet to me, I never could get behind them (even when I was young). I don’t dislike this perfume, especially in the dry down when it softens and warms up a bit; It does smell like honey. It lasted a good six hours on me, surprisingly.
I just couldn’t feel anytime was the perfect occasion for this scent, except for the ladies here saying they spray themselves after a hot shower. I can totally get behind that. It is a warm and comfortable scent. But in the sense that you want to just enjoy it alone, at home, wrapped up in a soft robe. And I’m pretty sure they make a bubble bath of this (at least I hope) because I would definitely buy that.

Hello Fragranticans, I’m relatively new here and this is my first review. After years of not wearing much perfume at all I have been on a fragrance binge the past couple of weeks – mostly blind buys based on reviews here. I have a lot of fragrance allergies, but have discovered some “safe” houses (Chanel, Yves Rocher), and am hopeful of finding more. As for the fragrances I obtain only to find I cannot wear them, I enjoy collecting decorative perfume bottles, and I generally buy minis or small sizes when buying blind, so it’s not a big loss if I can’t tolerate the juice itself.
Honey and the Moon is one of my new acquisitions. I tried it for the first time tonight after a long, pampering shower, and it was love at first spritz. I find it delicious, silky, gently warm, light and soothing, like putting on a cozy new pair of pajamas and having a warm milky drink.
I dislike extremely sweet or chemical-smelling gourmand notes, but HatM is not tremendously sugary, nor overpowered with strong edible-florals. It opens with strong but smooth-flavored honey that doesn’t display any funky or sharp notes as honey sometimes has. There is a suggestion of floral violet, and a little sweet powder that may be the “candied” part of “candied violet”. After a half hour or so on my skin, some hints of green and wood appear to further enrich the honey, with a mere whiff of earthy notes (salt, primarily), but it’s all very subtle and gentle. Over an hour in, I’m not perceiving any jasmine yet. If it’s there, it’s very delicate, in keeping with the softness of the other notes. And there’s no headache, nor other allergic symptoms. Yay!
This scent reminds me of a good black tea, possibly flavored or spiced, taken with milk and just enough sugar to open up all the complex flavor notes. It doesn’t feel like an office or big-event scent, but it’s perfect for a relaxing or contemplative time of day, when you can just settle in for a few minutes (or a longer time!) and be mindful and appreciative of how utterly comfortable the moment is. 🙂

I was just given the opportunity to test this lovely fragrance. Beautiful opening and dry down. I couldn’t keep my nose away from my hand. BUT…..it was miserable on longevity. From the information above, it should have lasted a lot longer than 2 hours. Maybe better in winter?? Love it still……

Adorably – my husband bought this as a gift for me to wear on our honeymoon. I love it. It’s soft, luminous, warm, so sweet. The most glorious thing is how it manages to catch not only the golden heat lingering under honey’s sweetness but also all the little whispers of nature and life that make honey the near-magical elixir that it is. Somewhere in there is a touch of floral, a hint of green grass, a breath of wood from trees. It’s a hot, languid summer afternoon in a bottle, and sure enough it rises soft and gentle even as the blazing sun radiates on bare skin. Its powdery softness and breath of nature cushions what otherwise may have been too much sugar. I wore it for days in 90+ degree weather and it was beautiful, never too much. It was lovely, too, when the rain came…
I love some other Tokyo Milks and can cognitively acknowledge that there are some with better “quality”, in terms of complexity, development, staying power, and novelty, but Honey and the Moon is my favorite because of how it makes me feel. Its powdery, nature-tinged scent wraps me up in a big soft warm ball of sweetness and makes everything glowing golden and blissful. It smells like my husband’s skin in bed in the morning, still clean from his shower the night before and deliciously warm from not having yet come out of the covers, a beautiful natural scent of living heat and comfort. Somewhere it’s late summer and a drowsy bee drones…
Edit 11/18/17: it’s cool November now, quick winds rattling the dry brown leaves still clinging to the tree branches against the ice-blue sky. Honey and the Moon still accompanies me – the cold seems to bring out more of its violet facets, and it smells halfway between a powdery fancy bath soap and the rich golden drizzle in my warm morning coffee. It smells of beauty, and warmth, and home.

Blind buy my mistake looking at notes and reviews. It does smell like honey. A lot of people like it apparently. The dry down is a bit better but not my cup of tea. I was expecting honey+ vanilla. That would have turned out a lot better.
And I see the comparison being made between this and Boadicea the Victorious. There is no way that’s possible. If you’ve smelled both of them.
Boadicea the Victorious is like 300 year old aged wine. While this is Sky vodka.
I recently found the Tokyo milk brand and got the complete dark series. I either love or like the entire dark series. I certainly do not hate any of them like honey moon.
Maybe I could layer this with a vanilla fragrance. Had someone else smell it. Someone who has different opposite fragrance taste than me. He said it’s not bad but smells like a candle. Also said it was immature and something someone under 18 would wear. Probably an awesome fragrance for a teen girl. This person also smelled Boadicea the Victorious. Which I also have and says no way that this comes close. There will be a clear difference in a fragrance that costs $30 vs $500+ dollars

The opening is solid and true honey. The drydown is sweet and slightly waxy vanilla with some sandalwood undertones.

After lots of anticipation I received my bottle today.
SOOO SOFT! Honey and vanilla dominate in this one, but as pillowy clouds that embrace your skin. I was expecting to smell a hint of the florals but no floral notes were detected by my nose ( YAY!)
It’s a little powdery, but not so much as other reviews have described. It’s extremely sweet and gourmand, without making you smell too much like a cupcake. I immediately associated it with Love’s Sugar Kiss and Victoria’s Secret Pink Soft and Dreamy, without the alcohol undertone.
I smell whipped cream, honey, and vanilla!
As much as I love gourmands, I feel that Margot Elena’s best would still have to be Bulletproof, but this is a close second. Still would love to try Dead Sexy.

Honey and the Moon is such a wonderful fragrance and very special. It and Tainted Love are the only scents I like by Margot Elena, actually. One of my cooler friends was wearing it one day and I had to know what it was. She actually gave me her half-full bottle and after using it all, I bought another (unheard-of for me). It has a strong sweetness to it that is typical to many gourmand scents but without the sickly, cloying aspect. It smells like warm honey and cream to me, very natural. It doesn’t smell earthy but I would describe it as such. It doesn’t have the cold or synthetic aspect of a lot of other perfumes like it. Though I will say I don’t reach for it often because it isn’t as versatile as some other fragrances. It’s not something I would wear to work or on a date. Whimsical.

Absolutely wonderful honey fragrance. Linear, great sillage and longevity. Normally I do not care for violet, but this time it adds just the right balance. My most favorite TM.

This is my favorite Tokyo Milk scent. It averages $30 for a small bottle of 10 oz.
It can be found, rarely, at small boutiques or always at Tokyo-Milk.com
This is spicy, which, as you know, I love.
I have also tried Dead Sexy which is okay and French Kiss which stinks IMHO.

I’ve taken to enjoying this one straight after a bath or shower, and find it very warm, sweet and comforting.
Turns out I am alone in the enjoyment, however – my Sister confessed she thought it smelt like ‘wee’, and my boyfriend when I first wore it kept sniffing curiously, and said I smelt ‘different’…which in translation, means he wasn’t keen.

I own a lot of Tokyo Milk perfumes and this is maybe my favorite overall. It’s less strange and more wearable than others. It is the truest Honey scent I have ever smelled. It’s a wonderful day perfume for winter and a night perfume for spring. Just really accessible and lovely. Not vintage but has a classic very old feel while feeling very contemporary. It’s a gourmand that is for any age, very young or very old. The floral aspects of this give it a lot of integrity and a grace that adds sophistication and a subtle and pretty Victorian feel. Something I would imagine a young Victorian woman wearing.
I think Kompeito said it perfectly when she said it’s a vey young scent with an old soul.

I got this as a late Christmas present. I’ve always been fascinated by gourmand scents ever since I discovered Fresh Baked, a series of shower gels/shampoos that smell realistically like baked desserts. (Unfortunately, the smell only lasts in the shower, but it was amazing how realistic they were.) I’m especially into honey right now, because of its associations with luxury. (“The land of milk and honey,” etc.)
On first spray this smelled exactly like honey. It was sweet, rich, and warm. On my skin, however, it smelled sort of salty. I find that sandalwood in general smells salty on me, and I haven’t found anyone else who’s had the same problem. Most people describe sandalwood as woodsy and spicy, but for me, it’s always salty.
It’s still powdery and sweet, but it just doesn’t smell the same way on my skin as it did in the air. Otherwise I think that the floral notes and the sandalwood do a good job of “weighing down” the fragrance and giving it more body and complexity than sweet scented perfumes generally have. It’s the difference between cookies made only with sugar, and cookies made with sugar and a dash of salt- the jasmine, violet, and sandalwood make the honey smell more delicious. If only I had the right skin chemistry for this!

My first Tokyo Milk fail. I was really exited about this one because I love honey scents. But all this is on me is cotton candy sugar. No violet, no depth, just sugar to the point of sickeningly sweet. Long lasting and projects like a beast so there’s that. I’m going to try layering this with…? I don’t know what it could blend with to improve it and cut the sugar. This might work well in very cold weather.
Serious warning: This is one of those fragrances that you shouldn’t wear camping or out in the deep woods. It will attract bears and bugs like spilled Koolaid.

Powdery toffee. I say toffee, because I got Lush’s “Honey I Washed The Kids” perfume in at the same time and did one on each wrist – both have that same note. There’s definitely a floral in the “Honey and the Moon” but overall it’s quite nice.
I’m still waiting for the drydown phase. And waiting to see if it is going to give me a headache.
EDIT: So this is a really pretty, but very “thick” scent to my nose. I’m really glad the bottle has a screw-on top, because I want to see if I can thin it down a bit. It’s just a bit too strong for my delicate system. Anyone ever experimented with this? Like with the perfumer’s alcohol, etc?

    My Favorite honey scent.
Not a scent everyone can pull off.
This is like a fantasy for me.
It transports you to another time in a fictional past (let’s say 1750-1850)
The fragrance of choice for the beautiful and innocent heroine who is intelligent and courageous. Sophie, of Howl’s Moving Castle jumps into my mind.
Or Belle in Disney’s Beauty and the Beast, “With her nose stuck in a book”. When I wore this in an antique bookstore, the scent mixes with stale old pages and feels as though they’re being brought to life… The olfactory experience is divine- if you enjoy sniffing old bookstores, that is.
    I do.
Sweet, but not cloying. I think the sandalwood and other notes help tone it down.
I really don’t enjoy overly sweet-sugar scents, but this honey is deep with an earthy caramel tone.
This is a young scent with a very old soul.
a soft and proper lady with a sharp mind and a sense of adventure.

Pretty, sensual, and true honey… ruined for me by the almost more prevalent victorian, soapy, chastity-belt wearing violet.
Not a big fan of violet… It just makes me think of prudish, antique victorian women, possibly holding bibles and wearing spectacles.
Honey for me needs to be a little more overtly sensual than what i am getting in Honey and the Moon, and for me, its the violet that detracts from an otherwise sensual experience.
Had the focus been on honey with jasmine, magnolia, plumeria, neroli, or even cardamom I might be over the moon for this one.
However, because it is one of the truest honey scents ive come across yet, I will hold onto this for reference, or to mix with future honey-like renditions just for fun.
This is a pretty fragrance… well composed… but its sillage is mediocre, and its not very long lasting.

Almost entirely honey on me with no other notes. Still, it’s a lovely smooth honey note without some of the usual nasty turns. Very pretty, not a lot of longevity, but the price point isn’t bad for that.

I tend to get too much vanilla and musk which drown out everything else in anything from Tokoyo Milk. Always disappointing to me, particularly since musk is note-of-doom for me.

I’ve been on the hunt for a honey fragrance for a while, and unfortunately this will not be it.
I want lovely sweet edible true-to-life honey, but the violet and sandalwood notes in this give a strange metallic-sour vibe about 20 minutes in, and makes the whole composition kind of urine-like.
One of the other reviewers mentioned rice cakes – I get the comparison because there is a certain dark toasty depth to this perfume. I also think it is kind of heavy powdery, the same way Keiko Meicheri Loukhoum is heavy and powdery.
    Overall, to me it’s a sweet-metallic-powdery-tangy-urine-honey.
    Please try before you buy.
Edit: about 2 hours in, it is a very light version of Keiko Meicheri’s Loukhoum on me – that is, sweet HEAVY powdery Turkish delight (rose jelly) with a touch of florals. If you didn’t tell me honey, I wouldn’t say honey. Might be good as a lighter alternative to (the very expensive) Loukhoum but I would not want to go through the middle stage of metallic-sour-urine to get there.
    Again, your mileage may differ.

I have a lot of love for this fragrance. Honey and the Moon has actually been the scent of my bedroom for many months since I bought a candle in this fragrance.
Honey and the Moon is a light, sugary and somewhat fluffy honey scent. It’s important however to mention the presence of a powdery violet note in this composition, as it is indeed as dominant as the honey accord.
It’s quite a unique fragrance, although the sweetness may not be to everyone’s taste. Admittedly I was not a huge fan of Honey and the Moon when I first smelt it, but it did grow on me. The best thing about Tokyo Milk is their huge range of matching products. Honey and the Moon can be bought in the perfume, the lotion, a candle and a soap.
The honey note can be a tad synthetic, especially in regards to it smelling more like candy rather than a jar of honey. I’m not bothered by this, however I can understand how some people could come to dislike it.
For such an inexpensive fragrance, the longevity of Honey and the Moon blows my mind. It is easily one of the longest lasting scents I’ve tried in months. I seriously can’t get enough of it. I highly recommend.

What a lovely name for such an unpleasantly bland scent. I won’t say much on this product, but it smells exactly like honey scented baby wipes. And I can see why one reviewer said her husband thought it smelled of urin. A great alternative is Miel De Bois Serge Lutens!

Goodness me. This is an interesting one! I grabbed this at a little boutique recently because I am currently on a honey kick. I’m obsessed with eating it and even though im not into gourmand fragrances-smelling like it. I have always pined for the discontinued L’Occitane honey fragrances such as the shimmering honey and lemon version, and the Honey Eau De Miel (Honey gentle water), which this seems to be voted as similar too. I longingly read the descriptions and reviews of these two fragrances wishing that they would be either brought back into production, or less than $300(!!) on EBay, so I might try them out. They sound so heavenly. But seeing as neither of those is likely to happen anytime soon, I decided to try this, even though I knew it would be a heavier honey, and not the very light, golden floral honey that I’m craving.
Heavy it is. I ABSOLUTELY agree with the reviewers who have compared it to chocolate! I thought surely that couldn’t be true, and hoped that it wouldn’t, as chocolate-yummy as it is, is not anything I’d like to smell like. It definitely has a very edible chocolate note that you can almost taste on your tongue for a good minute after you take a whiff. Dark honey whipped with chocolate. Almost burned honey. I was inspired to write this review because I just toasted a honey rice cake to eat with…honey (what else??), and after a minute, the kitchen filled with the exact aroma of Honey and the Moon! The heated up, toasted honey of the honey rice cake was the exact same aroma!! It made me laugh.:)
I could never wear this straight from the bottle. I sprayed it on a tissue yesterday, and it was SEVEN hours after I sprayed it, when I gave it a sniff and thought “ok NOW I could maybe wear this on my skin..” because it had lightened up some. When I realized that would mean I’d have to spray it on in the middle of the night, if I wanted to wear it the next day, I was deflated. Lol
This is a beautiful, interesting fragrance, all about dark, gooey, toasted honey that makes you want to give your arm a big long lick. I never could smell the violet and sandalwood separately, but I’m sure they just contribute to the richness of this fragrance. Since I prefer my honey “lite” and floral, it looks like I’ll just have to keep stalking L’Occitane’s Honey Gentle Water on EBay, and hope some kind seller will part with it for less than an arm and a leg. 🙂

Whenever I wear this perfume, I think of the movie Legend (The 80’s one with Tom Cruise and Tim Curry), specifically the part where the pixie Oona, who has a crush on Jack asks him, “You call that a kiss? Do you not think I am sweet?” He replies, “Sweeter than bee pollen on a Summer’s wind.” She then says, “Sweet is the wind that blows me to you.” That runs through my head every. single. time. I get a whiff of this. So to me, this scent is kind of sweet (It isn’t cloying to me at all), very whimsical, naturey (kind of what I’d expect a pixie to smell like) and like all Tokyo Milk scents: completely uncommon. I think it’s fun and I like to wear it to class. Out of all of the TM scents I’ve tried, I think this one is the most “friendly” to people who aren’t familiar with TM. It definitely doesn’t smell like urine to me.

This smells like honey and chocolate. I know there are no cacao or chocolate notes but the violets, sandalwood and sugar somehow morph into chocolate in this composition. The honey is a wee bit skanky, like body odour but just a bit and mainly in the first few hours. It does not go into skank overdrive like Kilian’s Back To Black. The skankiness in Honey and the Moon eventually disappears from the composition. It is a gorgeous scent but it is extremely sweet! I know it’s a honey scent but oh my, this is too sugary. If the sugar was dialled down by a thousand, it would be FBW for me. It does have great longevity though, over 18 hours on me so if you have a sweet tooth, I highly recommend this. The quality is superb. It smells ten times more expensive than it actually is.

I loved the honey note, but my husband, without skipping a beat, called it like he smelled it: “urine.” “Sorry, babe, but that’s what I’m getting. Like we’d better look into getting a better nanny. ’cause soon everyone’s gonna reek of piss. Hard to argue with that.

This perfume was a real disappointment to me. When I sprayed it on it smelled like Tang (a powdered instant breakfast drink that smells like baby aspirin tastes– artificial orange). After a while it morphed to honey flavored cough drops and wax, ala Yankee candles. If I squinted there was indeed a suggestion of cat pee. Not good on my body chemistry at all. On the bright side, it stopped just short of full-tilt migraine. It had little projection, which was also a good thing in this case, but great longevity; by nighttime I had to scrub it off because I couldn’t stand even the traces that were left. I wish I’d experienced the complexity some of you got but on me, it was just bad.

Honey and the Moon was a blind buy and unfortunately not my most successful one.
I love honey, but I finally get to see what other people are talking about when they compare prominent honey to a urine-like smell in perfumes.
Other than that, Honey and the Moon is strong, sweet, powdery, I get a very sandalwoody drydown but the sugary sweetness is always present.
Longevity is very good, so is sillage.
Packaging is very cute and the overall quality is really good for the price.
I have tried a few honey scents by now and my experience is that the best one is Botrytis by Ginestet, sadly Honey and the Moon is just not my idea of pure golden honey.

Sweet, fun, simple. A little smoky honey-tobacco type thing. Doesn’t stick around, but I liked it enough to repurchase several times, as it’s always well-behaved and a nice option if I want to be pretty unobtrusive, yet still enjoy the way I smell.

Unutterably vile. Threw out my sample and everything it had touched and had to blow my nose for a week. If you like honey, go for L’occitane Honey Gentle water, not this. I mentioned horrid ‘fumes to a good friend who worked in a rather famous niche store. She remembered something she described as smelling like cigarettes and urine, but couldn’t remember the name of it. Guess which one it was? Yes, this one. Margot Ellena, what were you thinking?

  33. :

I went through hours of drydown on my skin with this scent and I can safely say that this is cloyingly sweet. And it is not just the honey. I do like the scent of honey. It is honey along with the too sweet violet and the almost decaying sweetness of the jasmine that puts this one over the edge into cloyingly nauseating. I wanted to like it, but my stomach kept doing flips every time I put my wrist to my nose so unfortunately this one is a scrubber. Luckily my sample was small so it’s all gone now.

There’s a small boutique near me that carries Tokyo Milk. I sprayed Honey and the Moon on one wrist and Sugar Sugar on the other. Honey and the Moon was the clear winner! I love honey, and this smells just like it. I also caught the violet and sandalwood notes. Couldn’t smell the jasmine. I liked it because it smelled great but wasn’t super strong. My best friend is very sensitive to strong perfume, so I’m always glad to find scents that aren’t incredibly overpowering. Honey and the Moon lasted maybe 4 hours, which is kind of short but not terrible. I liked Sugar Sugar too, but it was much more overt and lacked that wonderful honey note. It did have much longer lasting power though. Honey and the Moon is great, and I definitely want to check out more Tokyo Milk perfumes!

Does anyone know if this smells the same as the Solid Parfum Honeycomb 60 ? If so I would love it, because it is the best honey scent I’ve tried so far. I have only seen this on Ebay and I dont’t want to blind buy, unless it smells like the solid.

  36. :

    4 out of 5

Honey & The Moon is my signature scent. Honey is probably my favorite flavor in the world, and this is perhaps the truest honey fragrance I’ve ever found. The florals are there, but subtle, the same way one can detect floral notes in actual wildflower honey. Sandalwood keeps it from being too gooey and saccharine, but the sweetness is still apparent in every whiff.
Unlike many gourmand fragrances, this is not a childish perfume. I can’t imagine it appealing to a teenager, for instance. The woodsy notes add more than a touch of sophistication and elegance to what would otherwise be overwhelmingly sweet, as though literal honey were dripping down your body and enveloping you in pollinated fumes. Acrid sandalwood and a tiny bit of powder act as a counterbalance and keep the scent fresh, warm, and unbelievably inviting.
This is a strange, unusual fragrance that manages to be sweet and mysterious at the same time. Honey & The Moon is a knockout and one I won’t be abandoning any time soon.

Well, I’ve been looking for a perfect, clear honey, and this is the first I’ve tried.
This is not it, on me, at least. I smelled some honey at first spray, but as soon as the dry down began, that went away. On me this becomes a pretty powdery, “perfumey” scent. It’s pleasant, but not what I was expecting. I do overall like it quite well, it is unique and Victorian smelling. At first spray, on me, this actually gives out an almost chocolatey note. Weird, given the notes in this, but not bad at all.
I had a friend try this on at the same time, and the honey tinge stayed on her, and the powdery perfume was a little softer. So, this can really go either way. I do not think this is a pure honey, by any means; powdery florals are all over it.

Oh my my!! I was disappointed on my honey search, being played by El’s sensuous nude, even by Boucheron’s Initial, fleeting promises given by Guerlain’s L’instant (although I stand by review that it is still an enchanting perfume) that never withstood the test of time. But now…hello Honey! I am on the moon, forget cloud 9! This is smoked up honey, the sandalwood makes it soooo intoxicating. I wasn’t expecting to be wowed by what is after all a really inexpensive bottle of scent, but there you go, lesson learnt, do not judge anything by it’s price. If anyone was looking for the ultimate honey pot, this was pretty much where my search has ended. I’m happy as Pooh Bear. Amazing sillage, amazing longevity. Amazing price too!!

I didn’t have to big expectation for Honey & the Moon because Tokyo Milk fragrances are rather simple and not evolving. But after use I fall into love with H&tM. This is very sweet and citrusy at the beginning and woody fresh in the middle and the base. I’m very impressed how the creator was able using just a few elements to make such complicated and wonderful perfume. Because of freshness and almost sparkling base it is perfect for hot and humid weather. Unexpected and wonderful real niche masterpiece. H&tM is like combination of Miel de Boise by Lutens and very modern fresh sporty fragrance (but not simple or primitive, rather sophisticated and uncommon).

To me, this is a linear fragrance. It smells like honey-flavored lozenges (minus the menthol) or like honey dripping from the comb. It is very much the epitome of gourmand. I would rather layer it with another perfume than wear it on its own, but I have yet to think of what would be good with it.

Just got the parfume. It’s just as nice as the lotion plus!!!!and lasts better than I was expecting. Summer loveliness. Bravo. I’m sweet and honey but not sickeningly so.

I went to a store today they had only the hand creme. I bought it put it on and it’s very nice. Let me say I HATE honey. I don’t eat it and I really would never have tried it until this lovely website recommended it as something I might like;) anyway I then went shopping at Tj Maxx and I got compliments on my scent ten secs of being there!!!! Remember I only have the hand lotion. So of course I just ordered the perfume:) it’s a lovely spring summer scent. Different from what I would choose but glad I found it. It pays to keep an open mind.

Why, oh WHY doesn’t this come in a larger size! I just sprayed this on me for the first time and it is just delectable! Love at first whiff. Honey is one of my favorite notes, and boy, does this deliver! It is VERY sweet, and does have a Pink Sugar vibe to it, but without the burnt quality and without smelling obstrusively and unbearably artificial. It is also tempered, but thankfully, not overpowered, by the right amount of floral and gentle woodiness. This just shot to the top of my list to join the ranks of my favorite fragrances. And as with all TokyoMilk products, the packaging is adorable. The price is terrific as well (which makes me scoff a bit at the incredibly spendy fragrances I have purchased recently). I am in love!

Just got this after reading the reviews on Fragrantica. First choice was Botryis Genestet, but couldn’t get it readily and didn’t really want to shell out the big bucks, took a chance on this instead and was really surprised in how much I liked this reasonbly priced gem. My husband who rarely notices the many fumes I wear,(last count was around 40 bottles) commented on how wonderful I smelled. This is fabulous if you shower first with LUSH’s “It’s Raining Men” (Honey, Lotus and Tiger Lily) HATM has three distinct phases, all are lovely. First 20 minutes or so it’s fresh honey from the hive, it later on develops into a garden bouquet of spring flowers. This morning I woke to a subtle honey’d sandalwood.
Great value for the price and pure happiness in a bottle!

Received this perfume today – initially, upon putting it on both wrists, I gagged. WAY too sweet. And I certainly don’t get the “oriental spicy” category…
Now, after the sweetness has died down a bit, I’m smelling (and this is bizarre): overpowering, sweet honey on my left wrist, lovely jasmine and a touch of honey on my right. LOL! Love the right, not digging the left. Maybe I’ll keep it and only wear on the right side of my body. XD Or I’ll ebay it. LOL

i was so excited to try the fabled tokyo milk spray after falling in love with their No. 82 soap. after finally finding a boutique which carried the spray, and found a variety of their classic scents. on me, “honey and the moon” smells sickeningly sweet and doesn’t change much. i don’t get any jasmine or sandalwood and the honey is almost rancid. as it dries down it goes more vanilla, but not enough to mellow out the honey. even though i dislike the scent and agree with luxatron about the “repulsive” feeling, the scent has way better throw than some other tokyo milk scents and would probably linger nicely on a sweater if you’re into that sort of thing.

Normally I don’t shy away from foody scents – I love the idea of being able to smell good enough to eat – but something about Honey and the Moon puts me off of wanting to spray this all over. While the perfume
