This is a really lovely every day summer scent! It’s very no fuss, easy to wear and pleasant to smell on yourself and on other people. It’s light, so definitely a great one to wear if you live in a hot climate. A great blind buy for me and under £10 for 90ml is a great deal too. I imagine myself shopping on Rodeo Drive in the 80s when I wear this… Timeless and chic!

Having been a fan of the original Giorgio as a teen of the 1980’s but having to be content with the substitute Primo most of the time I was delighted to fin several versions under the Giorgio name. While I love the airy and atmospheric feel of Giorgio Blue I must admit it’s nothing like the original- for some reason I was expecting a somewhat oceanic tone to the florals. I love it and it’s a very updated version that I look forward to wearing.

It is more floral than aquatic. I bought it for my niece, and I find that value for the money is great. Smell much better than I expected for the price. Very nice, floral and fresh. Nothing more than that, And the bottle is cute as well.

A very nice fresh floral. Perfect for warm days. A good perfume for tuberose fans, feminine and modern.
Sillage is good, but longevity is unfortunately bad. But for this price, one can always reapply.
I do not get much vanilla or wood. To me it is mostly tuberose and water lily, with a light citrusyness.
Much better than the original Beverly Hills.

It’s soooooooo beautifully 90’s!!!! Airy/Sea/Salty/Lotus – what else could you wish if you were going on a journey back in time? Now it’s gloomy fall here but for me it’s summer in California, on the beach, now that I’m using this one! The scent is well-balanced, long-lasting, fresh and sunny – hi-class really… I got to know this due to my dear friend here, now I just had to get a bottle for myself – I recommend it to anyone who misses holiday sunshine!

Smells like Juicy Couture EDP only less sweet.

Oh SO aquatic! WOW. This was part of a gift set from a friend quite a few years ago. I’m pretty sure it was a blind buy because we were both too young to know anything about perfumes back then.
I found this at the back of a drawer the other day and decided to give it a try. I have a pretty biased perfume collection dominated by floral and citrus scents. The Beverly Hills Blue is also floral but has a very strong aquatic scent. It’s probably the waterlilies but honestly, I’ve never smelled a waterlily so I can’t make a sure statement. Nonetheless when I spray this I definitely am reminded of cool running water. Not a sea water, but a clean cool stream.
It is quite strong when you first spray it almost too sharp, but give it a few minutes and let it settle down, the cool, clean, fresh floral scent will come through. I don’t find the floral in here to be too sweet, it is just very fresh and did I mention it reminds me of a cool stream? I cannot stress that enough!
I have not actually sprayed this on my body so I don’t know how my body chemistry will work with it but on the dry flowers in my bathroom, this is wonderful. Silage is amazing, I smell this from the hallway outside the bathroom. Lasting power is maybe 4 hours?
I will recommend NOT to spray on fabric because I’ve tried it on a pillow and it is just too sharp even after a few hours.
To me, this is a strictly spring and summer day scent for those casual day where you just want to feel fresh. I will wait till the warmer months to wear it. I look forward to seeing how this will turn out.

Fresh, crisp, and aquatic. Reminds me of freshly washed clothes and how good they smell when they’re still wet before you put them in the dryer. Perfect for spring and summer.

Hoping to find a cheaper alternative to Acqua di Gio I tried this today. Unfortunately on me, it has got nothing to do with Acqua di Gio. It seems to have aquatic notes like Cool Water. And the Hyacinth or the Guava is very prominent on me. It’s a pity, but I’ll havo to save money to buy my bottle of Acqua di Gio!

I do not mind wearing this one, but it lasts for about 15 minutes on my skin and then it’s gone, which is a shame as I do not even get a chance to see how it develops. It’s a sea in the bottle but with a poor longevity and sillage on my skin.

This reminds me very much of and great reviews here on this I must add, of my very tender pubescent age, when we did in fact go on a sea voyage of three months crossing both the Pacific Ocean and through the Panama Canal and over the Atlantic Ocean and straight on to Holland then South Hampton the back to Continental Europe again.
My mother purchased a huge, well humungous and suely over 200 mill Flacon of 4711 ‘Ice Cologne’ duty free with which we all in our immediate family took a liking too, poaching from it’s contents from time to time. We were also sharing one very large main deck cabin with our own private deck. Luxury at it’s best.
This reminds me very much of this with a slight ever so slight hint of Lotus. Paris Hilton would like this.
It’s longevity is rather average 4 hours on me tops, but then this is an Eau de Toilette. I actually layered this with Ms P Hilton’s ‘Fairy Dust’ EDP, toning down that fanny smelling mango. It’s just hit spring here in Melbourne and is still a little chilly and the nights are still cold where I reside. The patchouli of ‘Fairy Dust’ suits our winter.
‘Blue’ is not unpleasant and it seems to me to be related to the other Giorgio scents, not as soft as the ‘G’ though quite identifiable nonetheless of his range of fragrances.
As I chose to layer this one, I may not entirely like it on it’s own, but it does remind me of the regalness associated with 4711 and of our voyage across two oceans in the 1970’s. Well suited to spritzing generously on a hot summers day.
    Cheers T.

Ended up finding this at TJMaxx, grabbed is since I remember loving it and wanting it a long time ago. Well your desire for certain scents must change over time, because I find this one a little too “clean” smelling for me. Like that straight forward real fresh just stepped out of shower clean. I tend to like more sensual vanilla, amber, praline, musk scents, but I do however find some clean scents that still carry that more sensual vibe, if that makes sense at all. I gave the bottle away to my sister to build her wardrobe. She will enjoy much more then me since she tends to love anything clean smelling.

I personally feel, that those looking for a more reasonably priced replacement for the discontinued Acqua di Gio, will be a tiny bit disappointed, as was I.
However, this is not a negative review, on the contrary.
Giorgio Blue is like a message in a bottle that’s been washed up on a beach by a warm sea breeze.
On opening, the briny driftwood, water lily, tuberose and vanilla mingle to form a high, sweet, singing note. ( To my nose, almost like freshly cut hay ).
Guava cuts through a light powdery waft of jasmine adding a musky lemony scent.
My daughter, (who has a great nose!) said ” It smells like holidays, like the amusement arcades at the seaside! “

This is not a complex fragrance.
At first it smells a mix of tuberose combined with water lily.
I feel the smell of lemongrass here that I did not have in the store.
After a few minutes I feel perfectly strong jasmine.
This floral-juicy composition, which on my skin persists unusually long, about 6-7 hours.
This cooling, soothing scent, without which I can not imagine this summer.
Only thing I do not like is the shape of the bottle, because the color is beautiful.
It’s not the smell of drawing attention, but I feel good in it.

I had my heart set on ‘Acqua’ but every store I looked in was selling it for over $100, I was not willing to pay that much, so I was looking for a cheeper alternative. After reading countless reviews about ‘Blue’ I decided that I should go and try it out.
When I first smelt it it had very strong sweet floral notes, but it then settled on my skin into a soft, creamy, florally, sweet scent with hints of vanilla, that wasn’t overpowering but just enough for it to smell natural on my skin. Although it isn’t an outright alternative to ‘Acqua’, it has its similarities but ‘Blue’ has much stronger floral notes. It really is the perfect summer scent for during the day – Classy, Chic, Refreshing, Sweet – The bottle is cute, I got the one without the charm which I was disappointed about and i feel the lid looks cheap but when you spray it it comes out in a even mist instead of a small circle – which I was very happy about!
My main disappointment with ‘Blue’ is that unless you drown yourself in it – leaving you smelling unbearably strong – it doesn’t last very long, but luckily the 90ml bottle is small enough to fit in your average handbag so you can keep re-spritzing yourself every couple of hours! I bought the 90ml for $20! in my eyes it should be worth at least $60- Bargain!
OVERALL: This scent is perfect for summer & any occasion. Its VERY affordable but doesn’t smell cheap- making it the perfect alternative! Although it doesn’t last for very long, the bottle is small enough to fit in your handbag! I will definitely be REPURCHASING!
    8/10 from me!

At last I’ve found my summer scent! Being a heady scent lover finding a suitable summer fragrance has been difficult. Anything with strong lemon notes smell awful on me. I bought this blind today. I was reluctant to because I’ve had a couple of so-so results with blind buys lately, and was worried it would be something like Davidoff Cool Water (which is just ok to me) or that the guava might not agree with me, but at $20 for 90ml I risked it. The opening spray I can definately smell jasmine, then the other florals mixed in with a gorgeous soft aquatic scent. A winner!
Update: wearing this a lot now that the weather is getting hotter and I’m noticing that it’ s less of the jasmine and a little bit “off” – not quite pee smell. I guess this is what people mean when they say their fragrance has turned sour on them? It’s not as bad as Marc Jacobs Cucumber (which turns very pee on me) but almost. :/

A beautiful fragrance, light, flowery, aquatic and chic! One of my favorites summer choice. Well balanced and blended, nice sillage. Longevity like 4-5 hrs but leaving a soft trail in my skin. Love it! 😉

Sometimes we find a perfume we enjoy with relish and we realize the house has made other perfumes that have existed over a number of years with popularity. So we seek them out to try them, figuring the noses behind the perfumes might be in sync with ours.
Giorgio Blue is the second perfume from Giorgio Beverly Hills that I’ve sampled and purchased. This begins as a delightful floral that isn’t bursting with a sharp multitude of crisp flowers in your face, rather, think creamy, well-blended flowers that have been mixed for potpourri so that the initial offering is one of prize flowers picked at the exact moment of ripe bloom. To top it off, these flowers all compliment each other and they don’t vie for attention, trying to knock each other out trying to be the top dog. They all work together.
It’s a springtime garden party, the grasses are lush, the sun is high, the sky is blue and the air is warm enough to shed long sleeves but yet wear a shawl. This is a lady’s perfume, a genteel fragrance, soft yet with strong unspoken currents. Gentle woods soon seep out and dance with vanilla notes giving Giorgio Blue a sensual feel and attitude. Wear it for the afternoon with a few good spritzes and don’t worry about leaving a strong trail. Sillage sits around you with a soft, Old World floral vanilla feel.
A very, very romantic scent that hints of days gone by.

If you cannot yet afford to splash out on D&G light blue- get this one. To be honest it depends on your skin, mine absorbed this brilliamntly I feel fresh and clean and it’s long lasting. Perfect for a humid day in London city. the scent is not irritating either- I got it on sale today and I think it is a really neat, fresh perfume -makes you feel girly and fresh I feel like wearing light colours and tones fresh pinks when I wear this

This one proofs again that perfumes don’t always need to be very interesting and complicated to be good!
This is just a pretty simple fresh, aquatic floral and has moderate sillage and lastingpower that is above average for an aquatic floral!
It’s very affordable and I really enjoy wearing this in spring/summer!
    Nothing wrong with simplicity 🙂

I didn’t find this too bad for an aquatic scent. Usually I’m not into aquatic scents, but this one is a softer one with white florals. Anyway, I couldn’t get myself to buy it though, although it’s inexpensive.

Aquatic and clean but quite synthetic smelling and unrefined. Seems dated to me. One for gym or beach perhaps when you might want to smell of sea breeze fabric conditioner. For a cool aquatic fragrance I prefer the Clarins blue fragrance (can’t remember the name), Cool Water for Women, Rlaph Lauren Blue, D&G Light Blue or even the Men’s EDT of Armani Aqua di Gio.

This EDT was gifted to me. Its very pleasant and refreshing. Smells of lemongrass with a rounded aquatic scent. It like a milder version of dancing waters. Perfect for everyday wear. Not overpowering or sickly sweet. I adore clean smells like this one.

The perfect name & juice colour. Blue, like the fresh crisp clean scent that’s in the bottle. Perfect for hot days. Step out the shower and spray on slightly damp skin, it’s very cooling, uncomplicated and soothing.
To me it’s an aquatic-floral that gives me a slight unisex vibe that is reminiscent of a few other scents: CK One, Eternity for Men, Cool Water and even 7411 Cologne. I get mainly water lily, mandarin (and lemon?) hyacinth, and oak musk. I am sure the drift-wood drifted by me, but I must have missed it ; )
Very pretty, light but not fleeting. A wonderful edition to your (casual) summer shelf. Silage is: “an aura of fresh pretty crisp clean aquatic-floral” – Longevity is great: 8+ hours. The price is very friendly yet it smells well made and multi faceted.
Especially recommended for people who want a scent that can stand its ground in hot weather.

I purchased the 1.7 fl. oz. Giorgio Beverly Hills Perfume & Body Lotion a couple of months ago. I have to say, I absolutely adore this day-time fragrance for the reason, it has an aquatic, light, fresh, & clean vibe going on. Perfect for the Spring Season! Very fun! I personally use this perfume for work. On a scale of 1 to 10, I rate this fragrance an 8. This perfume reminds me of the perfect sunny day at the beach drinking fruity drinks…

    So fresh & so clean.
It’s a light floral, aquatic, a tiny touch of vanilla, a tad of fruity citrus, pretty scent! Reminds of of feeling clean out of the shower. It’s a nice one for spring and summer. It’s long lasting also. The bottle is lovely, the charm is soo 90’s haha 🙂 it’s cute, I wouldn’t have guessed this was just created a few years back, it has a late 90’s aquatic vibe, I think.
Giorgo Beverly Hills in the striped yellow & white box is so strong I didn’t know if Giorgo Beverly Hills Blue would be also, but it isn’t!
It actually reminds me a little of Britney Spears Curious, but I like blue more, it’s fresher and less musky.
Something else I really like about this perfume is it’s spritzer! I know I’m not the only perfume addict that notices how a perfume sprays out!? This puffs out in a really even fine-fine mist, nice and not to fast, into a circular cloud 😀

This took a few minutes to settle on me. Immediately I scrunched my nose like toddler! Two minutes later, I hesitated and thought hmmmmmm….By three minutes, I could pick up D&G Light Blue in there somewhere! Where Giorgio (yellow stripe) is early summer, clear skies and sunshine, this fraternal twin, is a hazy, hot, mid summer day. I really think this is nice, long lasting, amazing long lasting, and the bottle is just a sweet thang! This scent will go from early morning shopping, to cooking out on the pontoon, to a late night bonfire. This is my toasted marshmallow of a perfect summer day!
I shouldn’t think you’d want to miss out on this one, so DO take a whiff when you see it!

I just got a bottle of Giorgio Blue from Ebay (my first ever Ebay purchase!) on the recommendation of a Fragrantica friend and it’s very nice.
It’s light, clean, fresh and fruity and I seem to smell a melon note in it, although melon isn’t listed in the notes on here. What struck me most about it is that it I find it reminds me a lot of Giorgio G (the purple one) which I had years ago. I’m not sure why though because comparing the notes here I don’t see any similar ones! I think this is a very likeable, wearable anywhere kind of scent with good longevity. I don’t think it’s particularly attention grabbing though but then perfumes don’t always have to be!

Hmm, I’ve seen this stuff pretty cheap and I fancy trying it, after all, it’s by the guy who gave the world CK One and Juicy Couture – only the budget can let it down!!

Tried a sample of this at Kohl’s today, and have to say it’s real simple, but I LOVE it! I can still smell it on my wrist hours later, and it smells fresh and clean. This would be something I would choose on a 90+ degree day. But since I have bought so many new perfumes lately I had to refrain from buying for now, but if I see this on good deal somewhere, oh yeah it’s mine!

Giorgio Blue is a real treasure. I can t confirm it smells as detergent, not at all, and this is not only young girl scent, because it smells innocent! notes are really nice blended, very soft, juicy, intense, not to sweet or candyfruity, it’s just perfect! it starts with the lovely burst of hiacynths and tuberose with the savory citrus accord. after 10 minutes sweet jasmine and water lily are developping the heart of this scent, it’s so juicy and heavenly flowery, bevore the fruity accord mingles in it with the delicious guava and it stays and stays. there is really something reminding me mutch about D&G light blue, but in a lovelier way without the ambery-musk base which one i don t like enourmeous on fresh summer perfumes. Giorgio Blue ist just delicious and stays as lovely flowery-fruity-juicy from top to bottom notes.
a longlasting one for summer what is a real point to buy it, because most of summer scents doesn t last long enough.
ps. where i bought this the fragrance description tells following:
    scent strength: moderate
    recommended age: retired
    scent life: 16+ hours
    recommended use: casual
    classification: flowery
    recommended age retired!?
omfg mwhahahaha quite funny indeed isn t it.

I like this fragrance but in my quest to find a clean aquatic scent the burrberry weekend won. I will wear this after my shower but not to go out. This is clean and nice but did not get compliments when worn. May be more suited for a teen or pre-teen.

I bought this on discount to have an inexpensive day scent for the hot weather and am very happy with it. It’s suitable for the school run and shopping but classy and fresh enough for a lunch or concert. It’s soft and sweet without being wimpy and if it tactfully fades in the heat, that can sometimes be a good thing! Almost a cologne, fresh and zesty. I believe this scent will never date (unlike its wearers!)

In a lot of ways, this reminds me of Cacharel’s “Amor Amor”. I sprayed some “Amor Amor” on one wrist, and “Blue” on the other, and found them to both be creamy fruities with a citrus-y twist. “Amor Amor” is more lush and warm, with the vanilla being more fully pronounced, while “Blue” was a little crisper and fresher. “Blue” would be a good summer or daytime alternative for people who like “Amor Amor”, but find it a little too heavy for those situations. This is a classy but fun fruit scent.

Answering to the previous question: yes, Giorgio Beverly Hills Blue was licensed by Elizabeth Arden’s company. As far as I’m concerned this perfume is a limited edition and stores don’t carry it anymore. That’s a shame because to my mind Blue is much more pleasant than regular Beverly Hills. Regular is so oldy and harsh that it instantly kills the sense of smell. Blue, on the contrary, is astonishingly fresh and young. The cocktail of jasmine, water lily, tuberose, mandarin and guava with the hint of vanilla is so yummy you may want to eat it. The cute blue bottle with a little pendent repeats the recognizable design of Giorgio line and should decorate every dresser. 🙂
