I don’t like it. On my skin it smells like pez candies or something? And on clothes it’s very generic and doesn’t smell expensive at all. I wanted to try this because people were saying it smells like froot loops, and maybe it does a tiny bit, but it’s way too perfumey for me to even judge properly or consider wearing. Kilian love: the Valentine’s Day candy that nobody wants to eat.

Sweet soft powdery marshmallows covered in a mysterious amber buttery syrup. There is a freshness from the neroli and orange blossom that keeps the scent from becoming cloying. Sweet and soft.

Less lovely than expected, but beautiful. More floral and less sweet than I gathered from the notes and reviews, perfumey. I had the opportunity to try it in hot weather though and I think the sample was quite old, it had a deep reddish brown color. However, hot weather generally amplifies sweet notes in my experience, so I’m not sure what to make of it.

Warning – do not use in hot weather! It’s the kind of “smothering love” fragrance. Very strong and sweet, I wouldn’t call it caramel though. To me it smells like sugar cubes with an interesting bitter twist (it might be the bergamot & neroli mix). It didn’t develop much on my skin, stayed pretty much the same for hours.
If you’re after a pure caramel note (with some zesty lemon), I much prefer Karosene Unknown Pleasures.
EDIT: some people compared it to erasers, to me it smelled like Melissa shoes!

This was a blind buy, and my first foray into Kilian fragrances. Huge success, and so glad I pulled the trigger.
Love, Don’t be Shy is a fluffy, marshmallowy, sugary sweet treat for grown ups, and oozes quality. I was a little nervous after seeing the musk and civet notes listed on Fragrantica, but thankfully I don’t smell either specifically (not that I’d know what civet smells like. Does anybody know what civet smells like?) Kilian’s boutique website doesn’t list civet nor musk in Love’s notes, so I’m not sure why they’re listed here. After pouring over reviews, I see people commenting on the civet aspect, which I just don’t get. Somebody even commented that it was a ‘greasy’ smell that made them queasy. (I do wonder if we have preconceived notions of a fragrance if we read notes beforehand, even if they don’t stand out or may not even be there. Is it our mind playing tricks on us?)
Nonetheless, this whimsical beauty is incredibly long lasting, with moderate projection. I can easily smell it on my wrist the next morning before my shower, which is just lovely considering what a pretty penny this is. Of course, the keepsake box with lock that it comes with is ultra luxurious and looks fabulous anywhere in the home.
If you love D&G Pour Femme and the like, I can’t see you not loving this. The price leaves something to be desired, but alas, this is a must try if you happen to run into it. Beautiful.

Love is every gourmand and sweet scent lovers dream. It is sugared marshmallow and a tad of orange blossom, but it is not a 12 year old sweet scent. This is for us grown women that are having a sugar craving for a sweet scent. One of Kilian’s finest. Love is a scent that when on skin, you cannot stop smelling yourself, no matter how hard you try not to. Longevity is very long lasting, which is great because you don’t want this to ever fade because it is so good. Sillage is pretty good. I think this is worth every single cent for the price point. You can’t get a more quality fragrance sweet scent than Love.

This was my other recent Kilian acquisition. A very lovely, fluffy caramel! True, this is for gourmand lovers; if you’re not into sweets, then skip it.
It does remind me a bit of D&G’s Pour Femme (2012), but instead of raspberry, you get caramel. It’s warm and cozy, perfect for late fall, winter and cooler spring days.
The opening on me is very much vanilla and sugar. I get a pinch of orange blossom, but not much. I can’t think of much more to add that has already been said. Longevity for me was 12 hours and sillage was big starting out, then dried to a more moderate aroma.
If you have money to burn and love gourmands, then try it. If not, D&G’s Pour Femme (2012)is a less expensive alternative.

A sweet musky caramel. It feels like a designer coat that doesnt feel quite right. I should like it but it makes me feel uneasy. Gourmand girls …this is one to check out.

Gorgeous caramel scent, but not sure it’s worth the price. Lasts for 5 hours.

I have a 50 ml bottle of this for sale.
It is lightly used, about 40-41 ml left. I don’t have the Kilian box.
Msg me if interested… USA only please.
    EDIT: Just sold on 04/26/18

Very similar to D&G Pour Femme without the raspberry popsicle, and it smells far better blended, and much more expensive, probably because it’s both. I want.

Bought a $12.99 sample on eBay after hearing Rihanna wore this, pretty disappointed her perfumes don’t smell as good. This has a very warm, sweet scent.I don’t know if it’s marshmallow it might be, but it smells very good. Its a scent that once you spray on you won’t smell it for the rest of the day but others will def smell it. I plan on buying the big bottle. Definitely wasn’t a disappointment. Pricey and going for $270.00 for a bottle Kilian TAKE ALL MY MONEY HONEY!

Gorgeous. Strong dark vanilla caramel. Very multifaceted vanilla. Really enjoying it! Great projection and longevity! A new favorite i think

    @Perfectashka
Good perfumes do ripen over time (get stronger and denser), and do become darker, especially the vanilla ones.

I was expecting something more floral/oriental but what I got was a straight up strawberry candy. Super sticky sweet and heavy, almost like cherry cough syrup. It actually reminds me of those powdered strawberry hard candies my grandma used to treat me to. The ones with the syrup inside and wrapped up in a strawberry wrapper. Hard core gourmand. It was actually too much for me after a while and I had to scrub it.

I’m pretty sure they’ve changed the formula already. I have a 2 years old travel set, it started leaking after every spray, so I took it to Kilian corner to sort it out. Sales person changed the lid and offered to refill it. Imagine my surprise when I compare two bottles and the older one is so much darker. Of course could be that some ingridient goes darker with the time. But staying power is stronger as well, hm. I’m glad I have 3 untouched refills and only one new “not ripen cognac” 🙂

I got a half empty bottle of this from a friend. (Thanks for that!) This is really sweet and “candy gourmand”, and thankfully I like sweet scents..
I know it´s not listed, but I definitly smell amber in the beginning. The creamy labdanum and musk is also very present to me. Then in walks the caramel. It smells like still warm homemade fudge or toffecaramel with a dash of vanilla. Maby there´s even some cinnamon in the backgound, definitly spices. Perhaps Im fooled by the pepper and coriander.
The only drawback here is that you are constantly craving candy while wearing this. But Im OK with that.

Love is sweet from the outset, but also much more complex than I thought. If you want to develop, you will be rewarded with a delicious Duet from roses and vanilla that extends throughout its evolution between delicious and succulent; and something more obscure and complex. Love smells like a great cloud of sugary flowers, highlighting for my rose, iris and vanilla, smells much better than it sounds, really. Personally find me an interesting fragrance, because it starts so feminine, sweet and innocent, but on the other hand there are more… It reveals its depth only after a time, and is at this time that turns is it, for my taste, really irresistible. It is hard to describe, but I have the feeling that despite being overtly sweet even naive, also has a more complex and more darkly behind that sweet facade side. I love it.

This is Kilian’s gourmand version of Back to Black. When first sprayed, I was immediately transported to Mexico smelling my first organic vanilla. WOW. Upon first spray, I was holding the bottle of vanilla to my nose and marveling at how fresh and pure it smelled….like something I had never smelled. “Pure” is the biggest descriptor of the caramel/vanilla that can describe it. Amazing.
After having said all that, the dry down is getting quite cloying. I believe it is the supreme sweetness along with my aversion lately to huge neroli fragrances. I am hoping the other flowers, peppers and civet balances everybody out soon :/

  22. :

    4 out of 5

Don´t be shy love is my new friend. I think that the description of “deceptively innocent” fits quite well my perception of it. Is sweet Yes, but not too tender in all its phases and for my personal criterion extremenamente warm and welcoming. It is not me heavy in any of its phases. In its opening notes I perceive more fresh, but without fanfare. It is followed by me understand the creamy phase with the nuances of florals to reach that caramel base (spun), in which the two previous phases, still have room but with lower intensity course. To me personally has captivated me. A soft and sugary, creamy and comforting elixir up to the end.

This is Rihanna’s favorite perfume and I could tell it. Back in time I had her perfume Nude, that has SAME gourmand vibe. Soft puffy vanilla, marshmallows and sugar. Only on paper I smell orange blossom, on my skin it’s delicate gourmand scent.

Vanillic white floral. Strong, qualitative, luxurious, probably lacking originality but so well executed.

Smells exactly like Neroli & Orchidee from L’Occitane which is much cheaper.

The first time I sampled this fragrance, it took me back to my vacation in Puerto Rico, where I remember the Gran Amelia hotel lobby smelling like bubble gum. This is exactly that and even better. I want to say I smell caramel and vanilla or marshmallows, but I don’t. All that comes to my head is a sweet flirty delicious bubble gum, linked with very fond memories and that’s good enough for me.

  27. :

    4 out of 5

Something about it that I don’t like.. I think it’s the combination of bitter neroli and sweet vanilla that makes it off-putting..

I had a very generous decant of this a couple of years ago. I loved it. Far too much. All too soon, decant gone and a sad mama was I. It worked so well on me and smelled absolutely delicious. I could never justify a full bottle, but another decant…well that’s another story 😉

  30. :

    3 out of 5

I wanted so much to love this. But on my skin it smells like fruity bubble gum and very sour synthetic. I wonder if in my decant was the right fragrance because I smell tuberose which is not listed here instead of caramel. Maybe I should give it another try later.

Doesn’t smell like no pencils or perms on me!
cross between Shalimar & Sweet Redemption
Very romantic, with a touch of reservation (shy-
ness) at its base. So not as overtly romantic as
Shalimar. The same note that redeems Sweet
Redemption from being a candy perfume is the
same note that reserves this from being an ALL
OUT shamelessly Romantic scent. This keeps
her appropriate enough for the office while…at
the same time your date can appreciate it too 😉

This smells exactly like those scented pencil erasers that I used to get in elementary school. As soon as I smelled this fragrance, it took me back to Mrs. M’s class. I used to love getting those pencils. They were so colorful and cute! I don’t recall if they were from Sanrio, Lisa Frank, or just from a store with school supplies. If you had these pencils back in the day, you will know precisely what I’m talking about. I do like this fragrance. It doesn’t smell bad, but I don’t know if it is something I would want to wear as a fragrance. It does bring back good memories though.
P.S. The actual name of this fragrance is “Love Don’t Be Shy”

    @soofiya
Thank you for sample of Kilian love and thank you for introducing this great perfume to me
I can’t believe a sweet perfume can be this good.it’s like a dream and I must buy it.yes it’s expensive but it’s very lovely and high quality so no problem.I can smell vanilla caramel sugar mild and powdery flowers and musk.caramel isn’t syrupy.here vanilla is like marshmalow and with it’s flowers it’s like D&G pour femme but I can’t say it smells like d&g pour femme because Kilian love has caramel and other things too.so it’s more interesting and complex.it’s sexy in a warm feminine and soft way.it’s delicious.a little powdery.a little flowery.a little spicy.a little musky.a little sweet citrus.very beautiful.I can’t smell civet or animalic here but maybe it’s what makes it this much sexy interesting and different.I love it’s smell but even more than it’s smell.I love it’s longevity and sillage.my skin isn’t dry but it can’t keep perfume very much.my best longevity perfumes stay five hours and moderate longevity stays about three hours.I also have sillage problem because I can’t smell my perfumes after an hour.so I always use my perfumes at least seven sprays, both on my skin and clothes.I used Kilian love as always in the morning and I could smell it until night!it was very pleasant and did’nt give me headache and a lot of people said I smell very beautiful.and it was there but very light until tomorrow morning.so for me it has the best longevity and sillage in my life.I must have this great perfume

Quite a sugary concoction. I can see how it’s one of those perfumes that’s either loved or hated. I am personally with the latter part of the population.
I like the slightly boozy “fermented” quality to it, but to my nose it’s been fermenting for far too long and has turned into a rancid concoction sweetened with lots of sugar and caramel syrup. A-la cheap mulled wine bought in bulk from an en-gross shop. I would have probably rested with the love crowd, had it been less sweet. But I’m not, so more for you guys!
It’s definitely unique in it’s own right, heady and unforgettable, and I imagine that gourmand lovers would be attracted to it like bees to pollen. I also don’t particularly mind smelling it on others, as long as we are not in a confined space.

I loved love by kilian since first sniff but I couldn’t think of buying it because of it’s price.more than 300$ for a 50mil perfume is really too much.I think it worthes it’s price because it’s the best sweet perfume I have ever tried(I think it’s price was fair if it was 100 mil) but I didn’t have that much money.I loved it so much that I sniffed my empty sample bottle million times a day and I wanted to order another sample of it(just a 1.5 mil sample of it is 9$ here!)it made me feel good.happy, pretty and relaxed.what did I need more?!I couldn’t believe my eyes when my mom bought it for me as a birthday gift
Now I’m a proud owner of love by kilian,my first by kilian perfume.it’s bottle is small and simple but all in all it’s bottle and box is heavy, very luxurious and looks very pricey
It’s one of my most longlasting perfumes.stays more than a day on my dry skin! I thought it’s sillage to be moderate,I can smell soft, sweet clouds of it around me rhe whole day but it’s so soft that I thought others can’t smell it.wrong!it’s not shy and others can smell it even from meters away but it’s still soft and invasive
I expect caramel dominant perfumes to be kind of gooey and buttery, you know what I mean.but love has a powdery sweetness.it’s powdery but it’s not dry,not at all
I thought it’s a simple fragrance but notes dance on my skin whole day.there isn’t anything dirty and animalic or clean and detergent like here.still you can feel pretty contrast between delicate florals and animalic notes, like something naughty and sexy also something shy and kind.honestly this is the best perfume I ever had and a great scent for love.warm,sweet,conforting.sexy.naughty,pretty.this is love of a girl
Love by kilian, don’t be shy babe, come and sit in throne of number one favorite of my collection ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

As a gourmand lover I was very eager to try love by Kilian,I expected it to be a supersweet, gooey caramel scent, also very complex.I received my sample today and it’s nothing to do with my imaginations
Love by Kilian is sweet but not very syrupy thick sweetness, most dominant notes on my skin are a musky vanilla,a hint of sugar with soft powdery sweetness and creamy white florals,to be more specific, mostly orange flower
There’s nothing animalic here, not to my nose and I’m very happy about this,I was afraid of a dirty scent with thick, cloying sweetness but it’s kind of fluffy sweet and has a clean feeling ( but not a clean smell).it’s very pretty and easy to love.it’s delicious without being totally foody and edible.to be honest first I thought it’s too simple so I’m never going to spend that much on it,but then I saw that I can’t stop smelling my wrist.it’s one of the best sweet scents I’ve ever smelled .it’s charming, cozy and very addictive,I can’t believe that I’ve already used half of my tiny sample.I know that I need a full bottle of it ASAP
As it dries down I can pick up caramel, but just a hint of it,and it becomes warmer and more creamy.there’s nothing sharp or cloying here,it’s very balanced. love it in all it’s life time and it’s very longlasting but sillage doesn’t seem to be more than moderate
Welcome to my wishlist pretty pricey babe
    ❤❤❤❤❤
P.s: why it’s compared with body fantasies cotton candy is beyond me. That one is all about sugary sweet strawberries.sharp and syntethic!

I tried this one today and to me it’s a clean soft smell, it’s heavy on certain notes that keep projecting throughout; these notes are of orange blossom, vanilla, caramel, and honeysuckle, the last one smells amazing actually and, combined with orange blossom gives a very clean classy vibe to it. This is like walking in a Mediterranean garden of flowers, add to that a good portion of sweet vanilla. Thank God I can’t smell any civet-like scent as mentioned in the notes breakdown, adding an animalistic scent to this would ruin it completely IMO.
I think I might be the only man reviewing this here.

Sugary, syrupy jasmine. Just teetering on the edge of sickly for me, but not quite going over the edge. Something yummy keeps wafting around me but I feel on the whole this is only a like and not as the name would suggest, love.

  39. :

    5 out of 5

Sweet and savory, deep and even slightly animalic wheat-vanilla with prominent white flowers – sugary crystallized jasmine petals and orange blossom, giving this cake batter like scent a citrusy sweetness as well. I’m used to seeing orange-caramel combinations in perfumes, but the jasmine keeps this gourmand more unique and a bit more refined instead of tooth achingly sweet and typical. I think it’s very warm and lovely, but my experience says gourmands doesn’t need to cost this much to smell this way. In the end, it’s about whether a scent is unique and captivating enough to justify the price. For a lower price, this would without doubt be a Love. If you’re ready to pay much for perfume, this is not the best of by Kilian and he has much more interesting offerings.

  40. :

How is jasmine not voted the top note on this? It is at the head out of the gate, and never quite goes away.
So I have this sensation of super strong (Lush Lust sort of) jasmine with a bunch of sugary sweets. It is on the verge of headache-inducing (or past that verge if I wore it a long time). There’s no development to my nose. It really smells like something I might find in a celebrity scent. I’m very disappointed as I’ve anticipated testing this one for quite some time.

This perfume is my guilty pleasure. It is my first ever premium perfume and I adore it’s Lolita charm. It is very sweet but the longevity is amazing (it has withstood a many of my clubbing nights) and it projects well.

  42. :

Oh! At first this is a sweet, very sweet little beast! I mean a “Kids wash your teeth”, cavity inducing, loved by dentists one! And you better love it too or you will be stuck with it for a long time! Because it lasts and lasts.
As a man I don’t find it masculine enough to suit me and my personality. But if you do, great!
When I spray Love by Kilian on, my nose is hit by a warm mix of very thick, loud, pink and orange colored bubble gum and cotton candy with all of their “chemical” smells on a caramel base. Welcome to the funfair!
As the opening settles down the candies stay but allow us more to get the full range of this fragrance. There’s actually a spicy, syrupy orange with a lightly smoky amber hidden in the middle. It’s joined by civet, appearing with its sharper, unclean and honeyed leathery touch giving a more sour counterpart to the sugary bomb. It gets more noticeable as time goes on. It’s helped by florals, mainly jasmine which depending on how it’s distilled can also have an animalic vibe. This incorporates a depraved, dirty twist and some character to the fragrance. (Which can also keep it unisex enough for some men to wear it I guess).
Love by Kilian is the respectable, fun “girly-girl” woman who loves super sweet/gourmand perfumes but who also embraces her wilder and sluttier alter-ego.

An absolute bubblegummy marshmallowy explosion. Longevity is fantastic. If you like super sweet scents then this is the one.

Fragrance Review For Love By Kilian
Top Notes Neroli, bergamot, pink pepper coriander
Middle Notes Iris, jasmine, rose, honeysuckle orange blossom
Base Notes musk, vanilla, civet, caramel, sugar labdanum
A fragrance for lovers whether you’re male or female and love being in love. This is gorgeous spicy floral scent. Love opens with a citrus the bergamot orange and neroli, not too citrusy however, just enough citrus. The pink pepper spice note really stands out at the first stage of the top notes and their performance. The second stage of the performance is very nice and floral with rose, a powdery rose, some iris, jasmine and honeysuckle. Very sweet flowery smell. The vanilla in the base note is the strongest and it’s also filled with delicious caramel and sugar which sort of smells like caramel candy. It’s very easy to wear. It’s a beautiful fragrance to wear on dates or day time formal events – a fancy lunch or tea party. It’s very nice, very perfumy and one of the Kilian fragrances I keep wearing more than others.

Love Love by Kilian. This is a modern take on a classic floral fragrance. Which one? It kind of smells like a tribute to all of them – Quelques Fleurs, No. 5, No. 22, Arpege L’air du Temps and White Shoulders. It has a vintage quality. The opening is a citrusy neroli very refereshing. There is a scent of bergamot orange as well. The flowers are gorgeous and very lady like: powdery iris, rose, and white jasmine. There is also orange blossom and a succulent honeysuckle. The pepper note is also really jumping out at me. The vanilla and caramel give it a gourmand’s delight. It’s full bodied long lasting and a really amazing perfume. It can easily pass for a Chanel. Classy luxurious floral fragrance. I wear this as a date night formal evening perfume. I always get compliments on it. Thank you Kilian.

I sprayed this this morning then stuck my neck in my husbands face and asked him what he thought. He said I smelled like the state fair. ha. I said I hope you don’t think I smell like a corn dog. we kind of laughed and he said no you smell like cotton candy and those caramel apples. I am not sure I completely agree but it is super sweet. I just think there is something else going on in this frag that makes it a little more special than a “cotton candy” frag. I think it is the orange blossom. It adds a little brightness. The vanilla is the sweetest vanilla on the planet imo. Anyway I love it.

  47. :

The color of the juice is what strike me first. It’s orange, very orange. I hope that this will not change your clothes in that color. By Killian fragrances are very expensive for a reason. It smells rish, it smells heavy and people will find you everywhere you are just by following the scent trail. It’s a “love it” or “hate it”. If this fragrance suits your personnality, you will shine, but if it doesn’t, people will find you aweful. As with all “By Kilian” fragrances, the name is sadly just a marketing name to attract people.
“Love” by Kilian is a strange love. I smell a medicinal and sirupy guimauve. It’s heavy and mature but gourmand in a childish way. It can appeal to a 30+ woman, she is mature but has to express at the same time, something simple and childish. “Divin Enfant” by Etat Libre d’Orange would be the more girly version of it.
The “By Kilian” perfumes are done to be as rich and heavy as in the good old days of perfumery but with a contemporary touch. It’s a good idea and it finally came to my mind that the olfactory culture where you live plays a role here. If you are in an occidental country, where we like soft and gourmand scent, you could find By Killian’s too heavy whereas if you live in a more oriental country it will smell fine because culturally, fragrances are good when they are done this way 🙂

Initially, I loved Love by Killian. It is insanely sweet – think chocolate and candy-floss. I’m a gourmand lover, and I thought nothing could be too sweet for me. When I first wore this juice, I happily bathed in the super-sweet wafts and I really dug the animalistic quality in the dry-down. I thought it had an amazingly sexual edge – a dirty, slutty bite to the sweetness. It made me think of a woman on heat, and it was kind of sexy…
Then my husband ruined it all. He gagged when he got close, his face truly went grey. When I crossly asked him to explain WHY he should recoil from such a mouth-watering scent, he eventually explained that it was just plain old yucky sweet. Not ‘nice’ sweet like a baking cake, or vanilla icecream, just that it smelt ‘of all things sweet, and no one particular thing at the same time.’ He said it was a headache inducing mess of EVERYTHING in the world that was sweet just lumped together and turned synthetic. And even worse, underneath it all, he could smell ‘rotting corpse’.
Once I got over the hurt of it all, (one does take it personally when one’s perfume is disrespected; dis my perfume, dis me) I kinda took his point. The sweetness IS synthetic and overbearing, like cheap perfume sprayed on to hide the odour of poo. Because that’s all I can smell now he pointed it out to me. Poo. Not a sexy, musky, animal smell, but straight up sh*t beneath the cloying sweetness.
Still, a bit of me is still strangely drawn to it. And if he ever pees me off, and I don’t feel like a cuddle I know what perfume I’ll be reaching for…

Love by Kilian reminded me instantly of candy from childhood. The candy stays all the way, but gets a little smokie as the hours pass. 90 % feminine smell.
Because of the little transformation, the scent can get very cloying, imagine the smell of candies (synthetic sweetness) for hours around your nose.

LOVE the dry down on this! At first I thought it was too sweet for me– got samples. Longevity is amazing! The civet makes this frag IMO. More saving! Crap!

Holy freakin Moly! Lets cut to the chase here. As you’ve heard, sweet and marshmallowy but darn good anddelicious. Im a guy and this thing works wonders on my skin.
Initially, I thought it would be too sweet and cloying but it only got better! Didn’t make me smell feminine but delicious because of the civet note that lingered at the base which blended heavenly on my skin!
Love “Dont be Shy”, i wont be because this flippin thing has me in love with it and my favorite so far from the house of Kilian.
The performance overall was beast, lasted til I washed it off.

Sugary sweet and aromatic in the opening and the orange blossom here is great, but it’s coupled with something I don’t like. After two hours in it, the orange blossom aroma is fading and the caramelized note is getting stronger. I get an animalistic feeling the whole time, which is just not working well with the flowers and the caramel and ruins it for me. And although I have seen that men are wearing it also, to me it feels feminine. Good projection.

Neroli and orange, and a pervasively sweet opening.
It reminds me a little bit of jaffas (AU) or jaffa cakes (UK)(chocolate and orange confectionary). So there must be considerable vanilla in there, as well some unacknowledged cocoa/chocolate.
It’s pleasant and fresh and fantastically sweet, but it borders just slightly on the synthetic (how ironic!), and it also tends to remindly me very slightly of bathroom cleaner.
So with all these secondary impressions of various household products coming through, it’s not very likely I would wear this often.
But that’s not to say it isn’t a well-crafted scent – people without the same olefactory associations could wear this with pride…

I have loved, Love by Kilian for 3 years now and it’s finally mine!!!
I got my first taste of love from fellow fragrantican museum gal. At that time (I’m not sure her thoughts now) she was excited to finally find a gourmand she liked, and I told her it was the sweetest thing I had ever smelled lol! And I still stand next to that opinion to this day. Love by Kilian to my nose is the sweetest perfume I’ve ever smelt although Sugar Shack by AlchemicMuse sure did come close.
Sugary orange blossom nectar high concentrated in mountains of caramel, neroli syrup, marshmallows, and more sugar.
There is a nice spicy underbelly adding character, but when it comes to kilian love I think SWEET.
Aside from Love’s fabulous, earth shattering, sweet scent, I appreciate the quality of this fragrance. Nothing makes me grumpy like a great smelling fragrance that is poorly made and overpriced. Kilian’s $160 refill kit (50 mL for me!) was a bit of a bullet to gnaw on, but I’ve got to say I love that their fragrance is THICK. Potent, amazing lasting power, heavy silage, moderate projection. All I need is one spray from the black tester bottle I became very well acquainted to from all my trips to Saks 5th Ave (for the intent of spraying and walking away, I’m that kind of jerk). One trip I went with my boyfriend and he was surprised to see me spray only once. “Aren’t you going to put on anymore?” And I was like “Trust me, this one spray is all I need, I don’t want to kill you.” And he understood 10 minutes later LOL, but he did say he liked the scent on a side note.
In summary, Kilian Love is an e
