In early 2015, Donna Karan presents a new limited edition collection called DKNY Delicious Delights. The collection consists of three mouthwatering fragrances inspired by sweet and refreshing ice creams and sorbets: Cool Swirl, Fruity Rooty and Dreamsicle.

DKNY Delicious Delights Dreamsicle is a fresh fruity blend of mandarin, raspberry and blueberry at the top. Tempting and delicious aromas of green apple, peach nectar and apricot sorbet forms the heart. Its creamy base consists of cedar, sandalwood and vanilla.

The fragrances are available as 50 ml Eau de Toilette.

What a beautiful perfume. I smell apricot sherbet and a hint of lime. Summer on my skin. Love it.

This was the first perfume my boyfriend bought me, so it has got a slightly sentimental value. It was nice as long as it lasted but I wasn’t impressed at all. I mostly got peach from this fragrance. Not long lasting at all and the sillage is very soft.

Natalie: the fresh version is a yellow top and peach bottom. The ice cream is a lighter buttery peach color and a tad darker peach bottom. The fresh version has a distinct color difference. The sweet one is like a peach ombre.

Chloe, Can you provide a better description of your bottle than the person below you did? Every bottle online is a random picture & I am trying to order the SWEET ICE CREAM one. That is apparently what was referred to as UNIColored? The other Pink & yellow? These sellers you buy from online only have a picture, the same one here, & everyone has. So I need to be able to give them something to go by to make sure I get what I want. It’s not hard to exactly describe a bottle if you’ve seen both versions. I guess she didn’t know how.I would just like to know what your bottle (or anyone that has the SWEET one) looks like.

When I was a child in Canada, you could buy a desert ice cream bar called a Creamsicle -bright, orange, fruity ice covering a bar of delicious vanilla ice cream on a stick.
This is that smell. It’s simple, it’s summery, it brings back wonderful sticky sunset memories – trying to lick up the melting goodness before it hits the ground. So orange, it left a stain on your lips, tongue, and hands.
This fragrance is thankfully not as sickly sweet, but it’s just as refreshing on a hot summer day. Woody notes keeps it from smelling of something you should lick off your wrists, and yet, retains the brightness of citrus and fruit, and the vanilla in the drydown is light – not overpowering.
I love this. I love this for the memories of long summer days, and for the way it makes me feel fun, youthful and fresh. Longevity and projection are good, which is appropriate for hot summer days.

It seems there’s two different fragrances that have been sold under the same name and in the same package – one with sorbet/ice cream note, and other without it, which is simply fruity/juicy, no creaminess.
You can see this in the reviews too:
    Sorbet/ice cream version:
Reviews by cherlynnie, Bluemarinejosephine, Profumella, pommegom.
    Fruity/juicy version:

Yes, perfumes always smell a bit different on different people, plus people experience them generally differently, but despite that it does seem there’s two different scents. People describe them consistently in two different ways and it’s also my experience.
I bought this from an airport in Rome in 2015, and the tester I sniffed smelled different from the perfume I got in the package. The tester smelled like soft (peachy) ice cream, slightly powdery too. I was infatuated with it, and I can still remember the scent. And it isn’t the same as the perfume sold. The sorbet/ice cream note simply isn’t there in the perfume I got, at any point, no matter where it is sprayed. I sprayed the tester on different textures and I sniffed it for a long time before I bought it, so I’m quite sure of this.
Lacey Gattis wrote for Popsugar in 2011 about how perfume manufacturers make different versions of the same perfume for different countries – this seems to be the case in this. Maybe they thought some countries prefer more gourmand notes and others more “fresh”?
They’ve also sold this fragrance in different bottles (unicoloured vs. pink-yellow), and it would make sense if the packages would correlate with the scent, but I don’t know. If so, then it seems the orange bottles contain the ice cream version, and pink-yellow ones the juicy version.
To be honest I’ve been quite disappointed with this, since they marketed these fragrances with sorbet/ice cream (the commercials, packaging, the name), and then they sell bottles without that note. :/
For the record, when I went to a perfume store in Finland in 2015, they only had the fruity/juicy fragrance in pink-yellow bottles there.

Dreamsicle is actually quite difficult for me to review, as I don’t have much to say about it really. It’s inoffensive, I’ll use up the bottle I have, but I don’t love it and wouldn’t repurchase it, even if I found it for a bargain price.
The only note that seems to come through for me is the mandarin, that’s all I can really smell after a few minutes of it being on. The longevity and sillage are average, it will require a respray every few hours to keep it projecting, but it is a softly noticeable, fruity scent.
All in all, it’s OK, but nothing special.

Fresh, sweet and powdery, one of my favorites this summer, makes me smile when I get whiffs of it during the day, one or two sprays gives a nice sillage and it lasts more than 6 hours on my skin. It is well suited for me, non gourmand, not too citrusy or tropical or vanillic. There’s nothing pungent, just fruity softness for a sunny day.

Yes this is indeed tart and citrusy fresh, I can certainly sense the apricot and peach. I hate to say it, but the beginning of this is VERY reminiscent of a toilet cleaner. I can’t do anything but associate this scent with public bathrooms. After an hour or so, it becomes much better – more powdery and sweeter, reminding me of Amouage Sunshine. Absolutely no similarity to Agua del Sol which is much sweeter and fruitier, I prefer that one.

On me it’s peach and mango ice cream. I really love it! But after an hour it turns to be powdery, like a fruit yogurt. Not bad, but it’s nicer at the beginning. I have Escada Agua del Sol too, and they are not the same. I think Agua del Sol is much more better than Dreamsicle, more complex and lasts longer, but if you like AdS, you will like this one too. Longevity is poor, 1 or 2 hour maximum. The bottle is charming. I have Cool Swirl and Fruity Rooty too, but they are not my cup of tea. I’d like to sell them, if you are interested, pm me.

This is one of my favorite perfume. I love the sweet smells.somehow it have mango notes on it despite the peach notes. It blend well and the scents last quite long. Some says it smells like escada moon sparkle but for me this is more natural, sweeter and softer. Since its limited edition for 2015 and it only comes in 50ml im using it wisely just in case it if it finished im gonna have sad feeling that i might not be able to have it again.

I just received this today as a blind buy. I thought I would love it and for some
reason I expected it to be sweet like peaches and cream but…oh how this smells terrible. I’m sorry to say but this smells very cheap to me. It reminds me of toilet spray 🙁 really disappointed. It’s not a sweet peachy scent it’s more like a bitter mandarin and nectarine smell. Cool swirl is so much better and I love that one. Sorry Dreamsicle!

Peachy sweet delicious fragrance perfect for spring and summer days. Remind me of peach icecream summer and tropical gardens. I had a tester in my bag and I think I should buy this one because I like it more than many other fragrances. Very different fragrance than DKNY Be Delicious but both I like

DKNY Delicious Delights Dreamsicle – 05.25.2015
I agree with some of the reviewers.
DKNY Delicious Delights Dreamsicle begins with a beautiful summer vibe. It smells fruity and delicious, exactly like a creamy peach sorbet. It is such a delicious scent that I could honestly close my eyes and remember myself as a young girl enjoying peach sorbet by the seaside.
This nostalgic recollection of my childhood tricked me into purchasing the fragrance. Upon the first spray I got an optimistic element of carefree summer so, I decided to spontaneously purchase it. Soon the pleasant vibe disappeared and the scent turned into something synthetic and uninteresting. It stays close to the skin and disappears after about an hour so, I keep re-applying quite often because I do really like the initial peach sorbet vibe.
I am not quite certain if I have regretted this purchase only because the cost was affordable. It is a shame that the pleasant initial opening stays only momentarily.
Likewise, I was interested to purchase the Delicious Delights Fruity Rooty which is a rounder, creamy rose fragrance that I equally liked. I am now afraid that it may have the same development so, I will test it again before buying it in order to make sure that the fragrance is worthy of its cost.
I would suggest that you try it first and allow for the fragrance to develop on your skin before buying it as, for me, it proved deceiving.
    Enjoy the perfume quest.
    Regards
    Josephine.

Really delicious one! Awesome fruity start, which softens after a while.Last in my skin about 5-6 hours, but sillage is little too soft on my opinion.Overall excellent fresh, fruity, warm and soft summer scent, like a yummy icecream!

I am obsessed with this fragrance! So simplistic but so intoxicating. The peach definately shines above the rest with blueberry and raspberry backing it up to give it a little bit Rucker and give it a longer lasting power.

Starts off like a true peach sorbet, then quickly morphs into a synthetic mess reminiscent of Dewberry by The Body Shop. Pity, as the opening sorbet notes were quite nice. Orange Cream Pop by Demeter is your best bet for a Creamsicle scent.

I first stumbled upon this in a store on an airport, and I fell for this precisely because this had a somewhat creamy texture and because of that I totally got those sorbet-like vibes from this. Naturally it was at the same time quite sweet and peachy, I was thinking about an ice cream that has a lot of fruity jelly candies in it. Print some peachy-coloured sorbet into the box and call it ‘Dreamsicle’, you have basically already sold it to me.
Now, as I opened the package at home, I don’t get the same creaminess in this at all anymore? The texture seems a lot thinner. It feels more like peachy jelly, perhaps some berries in it as well, but that’s it? Actually this brings a fruity mochi into my mind as well, which I’m not particularly thrilled about.
Does anyone have similar experiences with this? As I look at the other reviews, it seems like most people have smelled this like I now do all the time (“apricot flavoured skittle smoothie”, “delicious peachy showergel”). But I didn’t want gel. I wanted sorbet…
Also, the tester I sprayed both on paper and on my skin on the airport was unicoloured light orange, this one I bought is yellow on the top, and mat and dim light pink on the bottom, like the pictures here.

This scent smells just like a mouthwatering juicy nectarine! Simply delicious!!

The scent is sweet and delicious, it smells edible. I also sense it as some fruity sorbet. Peach, raspberry and orange are the strongest notes in my opinion.
I’m afraid that this one doesn’t have no sillage at all. It seems to be very soft and it fades quickly.
What a pity, the scent itself is great and interesting for a simple fruity fragrance.

This immediately smells likea creamy peach sorbet ice cream upon spraying. Very delicious! Very girly and simple though, compared to the Fruity Rooty. You would not expect it to smell complicated or mysterious. If you love peach sorbet and love a fun smell, thats all it takes to buy it home.

to lulu169: In Estonia we also have unicoloured bottles – green, orange… I sniffed the orange one few weeks ago and I absolutely loved it! Reminded me of oranges, but it seems it has no notes of that. Few days ago I went to the same store to buy my Dreamsicle, but they were ran out of it 🙁 They had two other colours, but they were not so good. I’ll keep looking!

    I simply adore this perfume!
It smells like something I want to eat.
It’s like a delicious peachy showergel, only this you can take out of the shower.
    Soft, fruity and mouthwatering.
    Reminds me of summer.
The flacon does look diffrent in Denmark though.
I hate that this is a limited edition. It could so easily become my signature scent for springtime!

I was seduced by the notes and bought this without testing first. Very disappointed, this fragrance lacks depth and personality.
The only note I smell is a synthetic, slightly fizzy peach/apricot, which inturn becomes slightly powdery near the end.

    I love this.
This is like a apricot flavoured skittle smoothie. So yummy. It’s peachy, fizzy, juicy, sweet, delicious. It’s a really happy, bright and inviting scent.
It would be great for Spring and Summer. It’s super juicy when it opens and dries to become more softer though still having the distinctive apricot decent.
Silage is medium and lasting power around 4 hours.

    14. February 2015
I have tested the whole trio in the tax free shop and they are must have for sure, haven’t tried anytjing that good from.DKNY range for a long time.
This “dreamsicle” is my most favorite of them all!!!
It is so mouthwatering fruity!! Sunny, happy and bright fragrance!! At first it starts a bit too synthetic smelling, BUT it morphs very quickly into a delightful combo of peach and apricot! Yes, the apricot is even more dominanting than peach note, that’s why most probably it smells so amazing. I do not smell any blueberries actually, just the fruits and raspberry. Ok, maybe there IS a trace of blueberris after all, but they are not strong enough for me to smell them. Blueberries have normally a very specific smell and it is most pribably so well combined with other berries and fruits, that i could not call it a blueberry fragrance, like a reviewer below me did. For me this is mostly about apricot! A very nice composition, i wish Escada could take a note for their next summer release and launch an apricot crntrted fragrance!
I akso don’t smell much of base notes, except for the light hint of vanilla closer to the end.
Dreamsicle has a good sillage and moderate lasting power and very reasonable price, so this will be soon added to my collection to wear it on sunny summer days!!!
A hapoy trio of fragrances! Thank you DKNY this time and keep a good work! 🙂

This is the perfect blueberry scent. I’ve been waiting a long time for something like this. This perfume is very sweet, it’s mouthwatering. At first you get a strong blueberry, and raspberry smell, then about 10 minutes or so you can start to smell the middle notes come through, what I smell the most in the middle notes, are the peach, apricot, and sorbet. The lasting power isn’t that great 3 to 4 hours. I haven’t smelled any of the base notes come into the main play. I smell the top, and middle notes the most. This perfume isn’t that strong either. For the smell I give it a 10/10. The lasting power is disappointing though.
