Description

After Fleur du Male, launched by Jean Paul Gaultier, Christian Dior released a new, spring version of Fahrenheit 32, which is also a floral. Florals are finally in fashion in masculine fragrances. Both fragrances have orange blossom as a dominating note along with woody notes harmonized by a fresh accord. Its special floral freshness combines orange blossom with incensy, woody and fresh notes which we also find in aromatic Fleur du Male by Jean Paul Gaultier and oriental Fahrenheit 32. Among main perfume notes in the new Fahrenheit fragrance, are iris, rose, violet, orange blossom, vetiver and vanilla. This gentle and light masculine composition can also be interesting to women. It was launched in 2007. Fahrenheit 32 was created by Francois Demachy and Louise Turner.

I’m not sure if this scent has been discontinued because I just saw it at my local Ulta and it’s 9/2/18. I sprayed it out of curiosity as a woman who loves smelling men’s fragrances and wow, what a beauty this is! It almost seems unisex because of the white floral vanilla mix, but I can definitely see a confident man rocking this one. I just might have to sneak a spray onto myself the next time I go into Ulta and see how it reacts to my skin…
EDIT: okay, I resmelled this one after letting it dry-down and…no. That damn orange blossom (I hate it, sorry) and vetiver (hate it, too) mix and create a really gag-inducing dry-down to my nose. The vanilla in this is delish, though and it sticks around through the dry-down, but ugh, that vetiver smells funky–like a sweaty man trying to cover up his smell with orange blossom and vanilla, LOL!

How can such a refined classic powerhouse beauty be so hard to find?
I hate that all the best ones disappear and gets replaced with watered down shitty flankers

Even long after I’ve gotten bored with wearing Fahrenheit, fahrenheit 0 degree, fahrenheit cologne, and absolute, 32 still sounds good to me to wear just to smell and not be bored and feel great about it throughout the entire time it lasts no matter where I am it impresses me and excites

I guess it is discontinued 🙁
I had a bottle within 2010-2012. Didn’t appreciate it then. Learnt to respect that fragrance what it is. And I have to admit it’s an unique, hidden and unfortunately forgotten gem in a fragrance world.
For me it’s a vanilla-orange mousse with a lot of floral elements and a nice woody drydown.
Interesting thing is that from time to time I can smell traditional, classic Fahrenheit in it.
Longevity is around 6-8 hours, sometimes more. Sillage is soft to moderate.
A hidden gem. Glad I bought it again.

What happend with this scent? Is it discontinued? Because it is not for sale anymore.
I really loved the smell and would buy it again.
It reminds me of Eight and bob’s Eight&Bob, only a different drydown, this one’s stays the whole time to it’s topnotes.
If somebody knows were you can still buy this scent for the originally price (€70 not the ebay €160 price) please PM me.

    Fragrance -Fahrenheit 32 Christian Dior
    Bottle from – 2016
He’s got that undefined vibe going on.
Fahrenheit 32 opens on my skin with a fresh, futuristic and a bit ozonic citruses with dominant mandarin and bergamot mingled with orange blossom and with the tender trace of melon.
During mid development, violet starts to emerge. At this point,in the middle,it is all about orange blossom and violet with a nice touch of vetiver and with a wisper of warm spices with dominant caraway.
This all leads into a woody, spicy, creamy, powdery and a bit milky base with dominant vanilla and with a wisper of cedar.
Fahrenheit 32 has some similarities to Aqua Fahrenheit.
    Longevity – 8/10(8+ hours)
Silage/Projection – 8/10(moderate to heavy projection and silage for the first 2-3 hours, than sits closer to skin for the duration of the scent’s evolution)
Weather -For more or less any time of year.
    Age – 25+
    Compliments – 7/10
    Scent – 8/10
Main notes according to me – orange blossom, vanilla, vetiver, mandarin, bergamot, violet, caraway.
The drydown is woody, spicy, creamy, powdery and a bit milky and I get some -spices,vanilla,vetiver and cedar.
    Emotions -undefined,futuristic,blurred,cooling.
Occasion -perfect for nights out and semi-formal events.
Don’t blind buy this one.Try before you buy.

Smooth vanilla bomb with orange blossom/vetiver in the background. Long lasting and a love or hate fragrance. If you love vanilla is definitely a buy. Is also a unisex fragrance.

Although Floral, this scent is very masculine
The Orange Blossom in combination with Vanilla triggers a dopamine kick…and the vetiver makes it so harsh and fresh at the same time.
Fahrenheit 32 is obviously different from Fahrenheit…
The orange blossom stays for a few minutes… after 8 hours you’ll be able to smell only Vanilla in it’s glory.
    Good Job!!

Another one of my all time favorites. My gf described this as like a beach towel used to dry off and let dry in the sun

32’s vanilla is soft and without much sweetness. The orange blossom is smooth without that heady, sour white floral feel. Vetiver here isn’t spicy or too strong but well rounded. Like many have said I detect just a hint of the original Fahrenheit and get lots of similarities to the Aqua flanker. I think F32 also reminds me of JPG’s Le Male in some ways. Late dry down smells like Dior’s Eau Sauvage Parfum (2011)
Sillage and projection are nice on this year round fragrance. Lasted a solid nine hours before becoming soft. “Masculine” and for most ages but a lady could easily wear this. Maybe a little mature? Okay for work but not particularly sexy. An interesting direction to go with Fahrenheit. Very nice, high quality scent but, like Aqua, when I wear it I wish I was wearing the original Fahrenheit. Not interesting enough to me for a full bottle but still a nice release from Dior.

32 Fahrenheit …I’d betcha that if wasn’t for Dior’s name it may not of had so much attention. I don’t say this in a bad way, because of qualiy that Dior has put out…it would of been in bargin basement sale.
About the fragrance, I dont smell vanilla, pick up more of softer Vetiver/orange blooms. Vanilla does rise above the other notes after it settles.
Longevity and Silage both are very good lasting more than several hours
I label this juice as a clean sweet /green fragrance. There’s a definite DNA of Fahrenheit.
I managed to find a 100ml bottle, the aroma is more of summer fragrance. the. What I enjoy is the softer clean vib with a definite sweet non-cloying type. This fragrance does remind me of Aqua Fahrenheit. The main difference is the aquatic notes. Overall 8/10

    Excellent one.
Clean, a bit cold and razor sharp at moments, even if cozy. Hard to describe, but it makes ypu want to wear light pastely colors.
Not for everyone, as it is very unisexy and reminds of a maled up version of Lou Lou by Chacharel.
You have to be man enough to wear this one with confidence, but it kind of suits males who are not afraid to wear what they want.
Strangely enough, even if it is miles apart, somehow it does ring a familiar fahrenheit bell. No petrol feel or strong pines in this one, but it has this kind of bitterness in the background that reminds of the basic FH. If it wasn’t for the name, it would be an almost unnoticeable similarity, but knowing the family, one spots the resemblance.
Good to excellent longevity. 8 to 10 hours consistently (2011 bottle) and strong projection and sillage. It is a monster for the first hour or so, so beware of overspray.
This is not a sweet vanilla as you’d expect. It is surprising.
A-, only because it’s not a stand alone scent, as it should be.

How can 3 little notes smell so disgusting when mixed? I am so happy that it is loved by dozens below, but I wish I had sampled before buying a bottle. Thankfully I was able to swap it.

This is such a great fragrance. It’s fresh, a hint of sweetness with punchy florals. You could make this work in any season, but it’s freshness and coolness make it perfect for spring and summer.
It’s inoffensive and I love that. It’s packs a punch and has great staying power, but it’s not overbearing. Great for casual days or even as an office scent.
    Job well done, love it!

I’ve been mesmerized by Fahrenheit 32 for some time, for better or worse. I’ve owned bottles which I’ve sold only to buy it again and again. In some years it’s seemed the vetiver is very strong, others not so much, and in some bottles the vanilla is thick and rich and in others it’s much lighter. The same goes for the orange blossom. Either way, I currently own a 2017 bottle and it seems to me that somewhere along the line Dior made a few (well-needed) adjustments to Fahrenheit 32. There used to be a certain unclean stickiness that would pop up not long into wearing 32 that seemed like some kind of conflict between the fresh top notes and the vanilla and vetiver in the base. I’ve noticed a similar problem in Cartier Roadster, which also has a base of vetiver and vanilla paired with fresher top notes. Something occurs where rather than a smooth transition into a blended whole, the vetiver and vanilla seem to get tangled up and out of sync with one another while the fresher top notes are repressed, becoming lost in the fray. The result is a sort of awkward, heavy, dirty feeling that is a drag to wear. It’s the reason I’ve always ended up selling my bottles because, no matter how fresh and beautiful the opening, it always devolved into this kind of mess. Well, whatever the problem was, I think it’s finally been cleared up. In my new bottle of 32 the vanilla is exceptionally smooth and light, and it seems as though it’s almost paired more with the orange blossom in the upper register of the fragrance, along with some mint and perhaps a light iris note, while the base is reserved more for the vetiver and woody facets of the scent. In fact the orange blossom and vanilla blend wonderfully in this new version, to the point where it can become kind of difficult to tell where one ends and the other begins. Also, the vanilla remains on that lighter, smoother plane the entire time, even into the base. The awkward heaviness that used to appear and screw up an otherwise great fragrance is no longer. And now we’re left with just that–a great fragrance. Cheers to Dior for fixing this one up!
There are a couple other interesting things about Fahrenheit 32: First of all, it’s a completely different fragrance than the original Fahrenheit. The notes could not be further away from each other. But it’s like there’s this bizarre, inscrutable soul inside each of them which makes you identify them as siblings almost immediately. Fahrenheit 32 is absolutely Fahrenheit, despite not sharing any (obvious) notes in common! I’ve always pictured the original Fahrenheit as this red, atmospheric, gaseous and swirling universe, a planet all unto itself. It would make sense if 32 were the other side of this planet, with swirling white mists and frozen silvers comprising a soft dream-like landscape. To that extent, it’s almost a work of genius. The ability to capture the soul of Fahrenheit, but reincarnate it in a completely different being.
Finally, just as you could describe Fahrenheit as violets, gasoline, and honeysuckle, it does the fragrance no justice. It’s one of those scents that absolutely needs to be smelled to be understood, because nothing else like it exists. The same can be said for 32. I could tell you this has a light cooling vanilla with a touch of frosty mint and a sweet, fragrant orange blossom over medium bodied, woody vetiver, but you’ll still have no idea what this smells like because it’s totally its own thing and unlike anything out there. Certain fragrance have otherworldly qualities to them. This is one of them. Just get your nose on it.

    Compliments right on!
It takes me a while to get back to this one, basically only in the Summer, but as someone here said: it can be worn any time, all the year round. I think this is one of the flankers that has put more distance from the original version, but it has part of the main core, but yes, it is floral but it does a great job being a fragrance for men.
Get it while you can if you are a Fahrenheit fan.

This is similar to Eight & Bob, but E&B’s quality (especially the drydown) is FAR superior. In fact, E&B’s drydown is even better than the top. I own both. I only wear this when I don’t want to waste the good stuff. E&B is for special events only.

I tried Fahrenheit while on Summer vacation three years and found myself going back to the local Macys/Sephoras to re-sample this fragrance every few days. Although I have Fahrenheit, Aqua Fahrenheit and Fahrenheit Absolute (big Fahrenheit fan) I was not expecting much out of this one based solely on the notes pyramid.
Well, I fell in love with Fahrenheit 32 and picked-up a bottle while on vacation and, surprisingly, I find it to be an excellent year-round fragrance and I receive a number of compliments while wearing it. IMO, Fahrenheit 32 is a highly underrated flanker but it is not for everyone since it retains a pinch of that telltale Fahrenheit DNA (not liked by some and not enough Fahrenheit manattitude for others) wrapped in vanilla and white florals. Yeah, I know…it doesn’t sound all that appealing, but the folks at Dior make it work – and it works well in my world!
This fragrance lasts 10+ hours and projects above average; so very good performance. As mentioned, it has some (not a lot) of that familiar Fahrenheit DNA going on in the background and it is surprisingly a cool/refreshing vanilla scent for the summertime. My only complaint is that I detect a lot more ingredients in this fragrance than those listed on the above notes pyramid – iris and other floral notes, at minimum.
A must try if you’re a Fahrenheit fan; a try if you don’t like Fahrenheit; definitely not a blind-buy; and one of the most underrated scents in the Dior lineup IMO.

    “The Frozen Flower”
    Fahrenheit 32 is inspired by the freezing point of water (32 ° F / 0 ° C).
In addition to the notes described in fragrantica, other notes are: solar aldehydes and vanilla.
According to my 8-year-old daughter, this scent smells “like coconut and vanilla ice cream”.
For a coworker: “at the exit is intense and unpleasant, then it smells very rich and I feel a lot of vetiver”
If this is a Flanker of the line Dior Fahrenheit, then I have the fragrance that is less like its predecessor, I explain; while fahrenheit mother is soooo oily (l love it) Fahrenheit 32 has it in FLORAL, diametrically opposite, the only thing in common is the beautiful shape of the bottle, but not the color of its containers.
It is a floral fragrance in a superlative degree, raised to the “32th” potential.
This feature gives you a feminine vibe without losing your masculine touch.
Linear, heavy to moderate stela and good longevity.
Use in cold seasons, for offices or romantic dates, and supposedly to females smells sexy.
Disgusting to some of my companions, to others a Jewel, in my case I am in a neutral position, and i would only recommend it if you are ready to wear a “Liquid Garden” as a scent.
    8/10

Fahrenheit 32 is a wonderful fragrance that entices you in and then simultaneously leaves you breathless with its floral freshness with notes of iris, rose and burst of orange blossom. Now I like the iris and rose notes, but I found the orange blossom to be overpowering the iris and rose for which I am a little disappointed. After a while we get the vetiver which I love for its woods/earthy quality, lastly we get to the sweetness of the vanilla at the base of the fragrance which stays around for quite a while.
I’ve just received this bottle today, but I took a 2 ml sample of Fahrenheit 32 with me on holiday recently and I absolutely enjoyed this fragrance during the day, as it performed extremely well in the high heat. That’s what inspired me to buy a bottle of this brilliant fragrance, it maybe a flanker to the original Fahrenheit, yet this fragrance shines on its own better without me associating it with the masterpiece that is Fahrenheit. Longevity is quite good for this kind of fragrance as I get a solid 7-10 hours easy and sillage is heavy and you will get noticed by those around you and trust me that can only be a positive outcome.
Overall, Christian Dior’s Fahrenheit 32 is a superb fragrance in its own right, with the fresh florals tempting you in to discover more of the earthy sweetness that the aroma has as the notes progress, well it’s made me buy a bottle. So, that 2 ml sample must’ve been doing something right while I was on holiday.

Fahrenheit 32 is much more than only 3 notes. It´s a fresh oriental fragrance with sweet and flowery components.
It would be a great successor to Givenchy Insense, but Fahrenheit 32 failed as Insense did. Men don´t like to wear sweet flowers. The situation when you are in the mood to wear fragrances like this are too rare. So we keep this fragrance for special times. That´s why nobody needs to buy it often again and the manufacturer discontinue it.

The air is alive around me – every breath is tinged with new life…it beckons me to join in its harmonies. I fear what may happen…but I submit. I am awash in whites and golds, a gentle tolling of bells amongst the songs of angels – this is of otherworldly origin. You materialize as if from thin air – your hair made of golden tendrils of vetiver, floating, your skin an earthen vanilla, warm and loving, the humid chill of rose and iris linger on your breath. I am paralyzed in your presence. You reach out and gently touch my hand – my mind is electrified in this transdimensional union. I see in waves and helices – space and time are my playthings. I feel grey, I feel blue, I burn white, I am endless. Our heated skin becomes honey and pepper in a moment of elusivity. Here we linger awhile, lost in fields of radiating orange blossoms. Your words setting off endless chain reactions, resurfacing the neural pathways of my brain, illuminating the infinite possibilities of existence. Eternity passes before I open my eyes – you are gone. I am pierced by this transaction – my skin still bears the mark of a heavenly vanilla and a soft floral vetiver. I stare out at an endless sea mirroring the still sky. For a moment, the tranquil sea and the pale sky become one – you are lost in its endlessness…a pale blackness permeates. This is my existence.
    Day 56 – Touch
Listening to: The Gathering – Black Light District
Notes: This is definitely one of my favorite florals – something about white florals gets me all giddy. Over time, my opinion on what’s actually in the fragrance has shifted (I’m able to sense more as certain notes are less overwhelming – I could not handle the scent of fragrances until I was 21. I would get physically ill from smelling anything in fragrance form. It’s odd to be able to sense more as your senses lessen…). This opens in a flourish of radiant orange blossoms contrasted with the cool touch of violet, rose, and iris – these notes are quickly met by a golden vetiver and a decadent yet airy vanilla. This is one of a few fumes that actually makes my mouth water. Somewhere in the heart, a lively pepper note joins the vetiver to make it more earthy and grounded. All of this slowly dies down into a rich honeyed vetiver and cloud-like vanilla with the gentlest nuances of orange blossoms to carry it on to its end. It is surprisingly durable with longevity somewhere around 8 to 12 hours on my skin. Of course this would be beautiful on anyone, that is, if sweet and beautiful is your thing!

You give me ice, my heart will burn.
You give me fire, my heart will shatter.
These two verses were originally created in my mind about Horizon by Guy Laroche, but during a wrist to wrist comparison between Fahrenheit and Fahrenheit 32 they unveiled a whole new meaning. For some moments they had me pondering over what would be the lesser evil for a heart; to burn or to shatter? Since “burn” could also be followed by “with passion”, I finally decided that “burn” it is. Right after that I suddenly realised that the verses could be the national anthem of Flankerland, cause by their very nature they actually are an inversed harangue scolding the stupidity which thrives there. For what has 32 got to do with the original behemoth of the ’80s other than the very same thing that its name indicates when converted to Celsius degrees? Since I’m quite sure we all can do the math, then zero, nil, zilch, aught, cipher, squat, you name it. However one more synonym of the aforementioned words is “love” and the prime meaning of this word is exactly what I feel about it.
Now, if there had to be some subliminal connotation for the word “white”, I guess it would be immaculacy for half of us, and coldness for the rest. I belong to the rest. I could also belong to the very few who think of white as the colour of madness, and although cold suits madness way better than immaculate, that’s another story.
Fahrenheit 32 is the younger brother whose heart froze with terror upon seeing what his elder sibling had done to the world. Therefore he searched for the most far-flung and sparsely populated place possible, so as to avoid any future contact with his brother’s volcanic temper, changing a few letters in order to turn “sulphuric” into “soporific” in the meanwhile. For sleep is the ultimate nepenthe and the world suddenly found itself with too many ugly stories that needed to be forgotten after 1988. Deciding that any eternal icescapes would be the perfect place to invest in oblivion and save face, Fahrenheit 32 moved to Antarctica and rendered its niveous self invisible in its endless whiteness.
Am I the only one around here who always conditions himself into smelling vanilla upon seeing vast planes covered in snow?
Am I the only one who believes that howling glacial winds is what’s actually unleashed every time I press the sprayer of Fahrenheit 32?
Am I the only one who keeps its bottle in the fridge during hot summer days for I fear it will thaw if I don’t do it?
Could it be the sole fragrance outnumbering (or is it outfreezing?) absolute zero?
Could it be the wedding perfume of the Snow Queen?
I’ve always believed that it’s nigh impossible to tell whether ice prevails over fire or vice versa and the very existence of the universe (and Iceland) keeps my question unanswered. However, in olfactory terms this is one of the very few cases where this question is no more, since according to what evaluating credit my nose might hold, Fahrenheit 32 has won over Fahrenheit by a landslide. Oh, and it’s also the sole case thus far where a flanker has outdone its begetter, despite being a weakling compared to its infernal majesty. I bow before the mighty Fahrenheit, but it’s the kind of bow that’s motivated rather by dread than respect. And then I ride the winds with Fahrenheit 32 and go to watch the polar lights reversing the spectrum of its icebound whiteness in the night sky over its frozen kingdom. Join us. It’s certainly worth it…

32 Fahrenheit is the temperature when water turns to ice, but there’s nothing really cooling or refreshing about this scent. It opens with what smells like a mixture of citrus and Vanilla, then some floral scents, and then a woody vetiver base. Does it smell anything like the original Fahrenheit? Not one bit, but it’s still a good cologne nonetheless. Soft, pleasant, sweet, spicy, and inoffensive. I personally would of preferred if a soft leather basenote was added as a nod to the original Fahrenheit. It could of added a bit more of an interesting element to that whole scent, but it’s already a great scent as it is. As for the longevity and silage: This isn’t something that will leave a trail behind you everywhere you go. However, 8 hours after application people can still smell it on me from an arms length when standing still. That’s good performance in my book. I don’t understand why some fragheads think a cologne has to suffocate everyone in a room to be considered a “good performer”. Overall, I consider this a great Spring scent for everyday wear. Might work well for the Summer too, or it could become cloying in hot weather. I guess I’ll wait and see about that.

Description: Imagine sticking your nose into an off-white glove made of skin-soft leather and filled with intensive orange blossoms.
Recommendation: You have to like orange blossoms and vanilla to feel comfortable in this fragrance. Since it is not as freezing as the name would imply, it works well in all seasons. Its inoffensiveness but fairly good performance make it suitable for the office, formal occasions and even nights out.
Comments: It took me a long time to recognize the Fahrenheit theme in this one. At some point, I discovered a fine leather note which, combined with florals, does evoke an aspect of the original. There are no violet leaves, though, which I find regrettable. Rumored to be discontinued in 2016 after it has apparently been off the market in several countries for several years.
