Kiss Me Cabernet was launched in the end of 2017 and had, as inspiration, the lipstick color of the same name, which was already making absolute success with the female Brazilian audience. It is classified as Floral Fruity Gourmet, but I consider it an Exotic Floral, full of fruity nuances and an alcoholic touch during its evolution.
According to the manufacturer, it brings a mix of red fruits with a white floral bouquet, plus vanilla and a touch of Eudora’s Secret accord. There are people who think that such a “Secret of Eudora” does not exist. But it does exist and I was able to felt it on the petit committee held to present another fragrance called Aurien Turquesa. Of course the composition of this accord is not revealed, but what I identified was a lot of ambergris and a touch of musk, which gives a silky nuance.
Kiss Me Cabernet was a pleasant surprise and still remains. It is a strong fragrance, it has a presence, but it is not too sweet or too floral. It was built on the limit of genres and I think it is quite shareable.
And of course my work is not limited to what most publishes. Reinforcing the differential available on the internet and validating the seriousness of what I publish, I obtained more precise information about the composition with the company, which I think is indispensable for those who have limitations with some ingredients. That said, Kiss Me Cabernet brings notes of raspberry, plum and mandarin, on top; jasmine, pomarosa and mimosa, in the body; vanilla, lactonic notes and milk accord at the base, plus the “Segredo de Eudora”. Still, we have those chemical compounds that always appear in some perfumes and no one understands, such as Linalool (which imparts floral-sweet aroma), Citral (which smells like verbena and lemongrass) and Geraniol (reinforcing the floral aroma).
On the skin, Kiss Me Cabernet is fruity and carries many nuances of plum with the juicy mandarin. The floral bouquet does not make it too feminine, precisely because of the pomarosa (also known as pink jambo, malabar plum or pink apple), which results in a fruity and floral scent. As it evolves, you swear that there are notes of wine or grapes in the fragrance, but it is the lactonic notes in contrast to the fruity ones that end up carrying that delicious scent.
I do not think it’s a perfume with a lot of evolution, but with a good presence.
To conclude, I have no complaints as to the power of duration or projection of the fragrance. And I do not think it’s exclusively nocturnal. In a way, I found it more versatile than Kiss Me Rosa Marcante. The current selling price is great, the visual identity is beautiful and the only defect is not having it in larger size, because it deserved a bottle of 100ml.
