Description

Gold Jay Z” is his first fragrance developed for men and composed with the help of Firmenich perfumer Ilias Ermenidis.

Top notes await us with a union of ginger, grapefruit, blueberry and cardamom. The heart emphasizes masculine vetiver incorporated with pink pepper, lavender and violet leaf on a base of amber, peace, teak and vanilla. Its olfactory character is described as a white fougère and it really has that scent, quiet, fresh, elegant and serene, gently heated with the warmth of amber and vanilla. Jay Z Gold will be available in bottles of 15, 30, 50 and 90 ml EDT, accompanied by perfumed products for face and body. The outer package completes the new edition’s glamor with a golden relief surface. Gold was launched in 2013.

I picked it up from Kohl’s department store. It was sitting on the clearance shelf for only $4.10. Was a total gem. No complaints about this fragrance’s scent. Only issue (and it comes alot with the cheaper bottles) is that the spritzer likes to leak… Just another scent to add to my shelf.

I’m surprised to see blueberry voted as the strongest note here, I don’t pickup any blueberry at all. For me, this is a soft sillage, soft fresh spicy with a little lavender. I definitely pick up the cardamom and ginger….Nice.
All in all, a decent, nice, safe, if sort of a very basic men’s fragrance….Not a particularly ‘memorable’ fragrance, but sometimes that’s a good, safe thing. 😉 Safe for year-round, and day to night. Not monster sillage, decent longevity.

I originally purchased this scent and really liked it but then I got frags for Christmas and kind of forgot about this scent until about a week ago I was on an elevator with a guy that smelled really good so I complimented him and asked him what he was wearing and sure enough it was Jay Z Gold.
Jay Z gold opens up with a very fresh blast of blueberry, violet, grapefruit and ginger making this very fresh, slightly powdery and sweet. This stays pretty linear but this retains that smell but then gets a little more spicy and woody but still remains fresh and then in the drydown that vanilla gives it a sensual edge. I’d also describe this scent as a sexy, alluring smell as I have been complimented a few times but this was 1 of the very few that someone else described as sexy.
Performance on this is above average as it lasts 5-8 hours and has soft projection but you will have a nice scent bubble and also leave a nice scent trail as you pass by people.
Overall rating — 8 out of 10 ! Very unique smell that gets compliments and for a cheapie this performs pretty well.
Sidenote— I love the blueberry and vanilla combo in this 😀

The thing with this fragrance is that your going to have to apply 10 sprays so it’ll last at least to 7 hours! I just recently bought this at Burlington for a about 25 bucks. It’s a crowd pleasing scent, versatile, I’m mostly going to wear this for dates, hanging with the fellas, or going to the club or bar for drinks.

    It smells nice.
    But quickly settles down
    to not much more than
    a memory.
    Not impressed.
EDIT: in fact, the more I think about it,
I’m pissed off that this con man rapper
has screwed lots of people with his
    sugared water.

Where are the basenotes? On me this is prominent violet, noticeable vanilla, and semi noticeable blueberry with a smattering of spicy notes thrown in for good measure. All in all a fairly blah if not unpleasant scent. Vanilla is the only basenote I can discern.
Tonight was my first wearing of Jay Z Gold. I have owned this for over a year, but until a few hours ago it was still in its cellophane. I guess I felt it was time to justify its purchase.
Projection was good for the first two hours. My date told me I smelled great and I’m thinking I’ve worn much better fragrances in your presence before without a mention. The hostess who sat us at our late supper also told me I smelled nice. What was going on here? What seems like a throwaway fragrance is charming women left and right. Do I know anything about fragrances whatsoever? Gold’s performance certainly had me second guessing myself. I’m still, as I type this, trying to figure out what the hell is so good about it.
I will, however, remember for next time that Gold is a definite crowd pleaser. Feeling very glad that I finally broke this out tonight. Gonna have to buy it’s Intense flanker, I suppose. What other choice does a perfume lover have?

    Generic Garbage.
    However there’s a silver lining.
If you have essential oils or blends and another bottle, you can make a half decent cologne. I used clementine organic essential oil and a saje blend. It actually smells like something I’d pay for.

    Bottom line:like!
it smells like sweet sharpened pencil it’s the best description.
not very long lasting but for this price who cares can apply it every 2 hours.
    TRY IT!

    Jay Z is whack!
Jay Z, PDiddy, Pharrell, the name don’t matter. They are all the same. Whack!
Can’t do music, don’t even call it Hip Hop, can’t do fragrence.
    Grape flavored purple cabbage juice!!
    Y’all are the reason.

    Yummi !
A sweet Play doh scent with a touch of peper.
Clean, mellow and manly. It’s an addictive scent.
    Performance is average.
    Women love too.

I actually enjoyed this one. I’m usually not a fan of celebrity fragrances but this one was pleasant. I am just finishing mine ( for the first time having it ) and personally, I just cant see Jay Z wearing this lol.
It’s a “pretty” fragrance. It has some floral elements but not to the point where it would come off as a famine fragrance.
I picture a pretty boy, or metro/sexual type of guy wearing this. Not a homeboy, baseball cap wearing guy like Jay Z.
Try to buy if you are into these types, it’s a good one.

This smells very yummy. It smells like a more masculine version of the fluffy gourmand vanilla-fruity scents I love. Funny, my husband wore this to the movies after not touching it for awhile. I didn’t know he had it on so I kept wondering “who smells so good?” I thought it could have been the man in front of us or the lady behind us.
It’s a sweet, deep vanilla, with a nip of woods to announce its masculinity.
I see blueberry here, but it really did smell of chocolate chip muffins for awhile. I don’t see it as a light summer scent at all. Too sweet and gourmand. It has some woody and fresh notes mixed in but don’t wear this unless you want to smell delicious;)

It’s a nice fragrance that everyone can wear and enjoy,
    a mass appealling scent.
In my skin it’s project well 2-3 hour and stay within 10 hour+.
Great release by JayZ, worth to try and of course solid love for me. Thanks Jeremy Frag.. lol

    Just bought this. First impression:
This is very similar to Versace Eros which I already own and have grown to dislike a little due to its relentless sweetness (mainly vanilla), and beastly longevity.
This I like more as its more fresh and less gourmand than Eros.
So far it’s a good, casual, versitale, scent but I wouldn’t go as far as claiming it’s a “niche” like scent as its pretty designer and mainstream smelling….IMO anyways.

This exceeded my expectations!!I don’t own too many male fragrances but I think this is a must have in a man’s fragrance collection. I don’t have good skin chemistry so mainly all of my fragrances don’t last on my skin but this one was on my skin 24 hours later and it freaked me out because I’m not use to any of my fragrances lasting more than 2 hours and I forgot to wear a fragrance that day so once i noticed that the scent was still on me the very next day, it made me love this fragrance even more.

I really wish I would have picked Gold up sooner. I was worried the blueberry would be too heavy, but it’s very well done. Great fragrance, great performance and great compliments. I would have no problem wearing this for most occasions and I feel you can wear Gold in all seasons except the hottest days. I get about 5hrs of arms length projection with 4-5 sprays then it sits close for another 3-4hrs. I think this is easily a unisex fragrance that can be worn by all and is definitely worth checking out.

    This is REALLY good!!!
I love the note combination in this scent! Blueberry vanilla. I get more blueberry and violet than anything, followed by vanilla and pink pepper/cardamom.
The texture starts out very cool and fizzy, but quickly evolves to be similar to a blueberry La Nuit de L’Homme flanker with heavy pink pepper and cardamom, or even a spicy blueberry Bleu De Chanel. The strong pink pepper from the opening fades to give way to the lasting cardamom, and that’s what’s responsible for the texture change.
Basically, imagine a freshly baked blueberry muffin where you accidently poured pepper into the batter. That’s what this is, and that’s definitely not a bad thing. Projection is perfect, though it sits a little close to skin after 3 hours. Longevity is moderate, 5-6 hours noticeably, but it lasts 8-9 hours total under the neck of my shirt.
I’ve gotten TONS of compliments on this! I wish the top notes lasted a tiny bit longer, but so far, all the hype is correct. This is REALLY nice! For the price, buy it, and carry an atomizer if you have to. Also, the bottle is pretty nice as well. It has a nice heavy cap with a matte white powdercoated bottle.
This is probably worth a lot more than it sells for, in terms of value. I’ve worn more of this (and given away more samples) than anything else in my collection. This is in my Top 10, and often in my Top 5. Highly recommended!

Sexy warm vanilla. Waaaaay better than his music. Sorry Jay Z (as he wipes his tears with 100 dollar bills). He should stick to cologne. Though the Extreme had a cooler bottle, did not like the minty top note added to the mix. No thanks.

From an overall value standpoint, this may be the best purchase I have made. This smells great, lasts a good amount of time with good projection and is not very expensive at all. I would rate this a great value buy. Check it out.

Blind bought this off of what others had said on the review sites…result-> not disappointed at all! It’s nice. The blueberry scent appears and disappears very quickly within the first hour. The base notes is what you’re left with from the 45 min mark and its a nice, not-too-sweet vanilla/amber/wood combo.
It’s not a unique scent so I don’t think it’s worth a heavy price tag, however, I bought a 1 oz’er at a great price and I am very very happy to wear it in my fall/winter/spring/summer night casual rotation.

This is my revised review for Jay Z Gold using my new review style
Jay Z Gold is the first celebrity fragrance that I purchased (not in the Michael Jordan wheelhouse) mainly because of the deal I got for it. It was either $10USD for a 1oz/30ml or $18USD for the 1oz/30ml with the shower gel and aftershave as a gift set holdover from Father’s Day. So, what did you think I got? I purchased the gift set and it was actually marked down another half on top of the sticker. I smelt it first earlier that day and it smelt pretty good so I felt confident in my purchase.
My three thoughts when smelling this scent is blueberry muffin, sweet, and clean. Jay Z Gold opens with a blueberry note which makes it smell like fresh blueberry muffins or even strawberries to some. With the three heavy notes to me being blueberry, violet and amber-vanilla, this is a VERY sweet smelling. Finally, this scent has a fruity clean smell to it similar to Axe Signature’s Night.
That said, it is a different fragrance than the typical drug store or celebrity fragrance. It is unique different with moderate to long lasting length of scent but with soft to moderate sillage. As for length as I mentioned it lasts over nine hours. I had several days in the late summer/early fall time of year and I found it lasted over 12 hours, if even it was just the amber-vanilla basenote that would hold on for quite a while. Its sillage is pretty strong as the blueberry heavy open fades into the violet mid, it gives about 4/5 hours as a moderate sillage before becoming a skin scent. I find it is one of those skeleton scents that can work, any-time, any season and any occasion.
My rating for this cologne is 9.5/10 as there is no real knock on it. At first I thought that the $30USD price-tag for 1oz/30ml in the brick and mortars is a little steep but the performance and unique smell gives it that edge that make it worth it. I honestly LOVE THIS SCENT.

Gold was a blind buy for me and it’s a pretty good offering from Jay Z’s house. Didn’t get as much blueberry smell or sweetness as I had hoped. More of a transparent and airy fresh/spicy/woody.
Somewhat unique smelling.(especially for a celeb release) But the drydown bores me with just a generic slightly sweet, cardamom and pink pepper smell that has been done to death with a hint of violet thing going on. Truth be told I like Evolution and 9IX a little better personally. Longevity is good on my skin. Nice frag, but only a “meh” for me sadly.

This fragrance is one the best fall, winter fragrance that I have. I say this because I live in Miami. Our summers get really hot and humid. So I tend to go with fresh, out the shower during the summer ex. Versace pour homme, L’homme or L’homme libre YSL, or Lacoste Blanc. But when fall or winter comes around better believe JYZG is coming out to play.
But I will say that you can pull this off if you’re in an office environment.
I know, I know what most people think because it is a celebrity cologne it cant be that good. Well my friends, you’d be wrong. This is a great fresh, sweet, vanilla, yet masculine scent. For me, it last a good 4 hours, sillage a good amount. You don’t want people drowning in your fragrance in the office. I do get notice when I wear this one.
    Really recommend this one.

    5 out of 5

It’s taken me a while to come around to reviewing this fragrance and it’s largely due to the fact I’m not that keen on Jay Z himself. This era and ethos of hiphop largely passed me by and despite respecting the fact he is a global star, and artists I do like, seem to respect him but I simply don’t like his music. If I had to list greatest rappers of all time he definitely wouldn’t figure, in fact he wouldn’t even figure in top rappers from Brooklyn. Anyway…That aside I did try this fragrance not long after it’s release and I initially liked it.
I wore it properly the otherday and I’m not surprised to say I still really like it. The opening reminds of some kind of sweets from my youth and it changes from a sweetened orange/mandarin vibe, sharp grapefruit and that unmistakable blueberry note which without doubt makes this stuff memorable. It’s kinda like when you get six different flavours of skittles in your mouth at the same time. The base is powdery so I can accept there’s violet leaf present (although I don’t smell it directly) it’s more of a white musk, vanilla and maybe a bit of cardamom? It’s pretty elegant but has a sports vibe to it and comes off like a summery, antiperspirant. That is in no way belittling Gold because I think it’s one of the better sweet, fruity fragrances on the market. The performance however is not good, it doesn’t project at all and is gone within a matter of an hour or two, even so I still think it’s worthy of merit and would even go as far as to say I’d add it to my wardrobe if I saw it for a dramatically reduced price.

Got this today so i cant go in depth about it to much but i felt compelled to give my initial thoughts right away. This stuff is 10x better than what i was expecting. I left the house today to hunt dhi at the mall but i always go in through Ross to see if they had anything good. There was one 1oz JayZ gold among the usual grey flannel, Nautica Voyage, curve etc. Not to impressed i pushed on to Belk and tested the few i dont own already including the JZG (They didnt have DHI of course) So I then went to sephora and picked up Invictus but i could not stop thinking about that JZG. After my purchase i high tailed it back to Ross and purchased JZG as well after smelling it first.Long story short this was my 6th purchase this week along with Invictus, Scent of peace for him,Declaration , Declaration Dun Soir, Declaration leau and Carven homme all of which smell excellent but i cant stop thinking about this one, and its probably because my expectations werent high at all .Still not anything ground breaking but really good stuff.
Scent= 10 so smooth you think its niche
Versatility= 10 anytime, season, reason or place.
Projection= 5 became a skin scent rather quickly
Longevity= 5 drove home ate my cheese steak then took a 3 hr nap and it was totally undetectable when i got up. Every scent was not meant to beast they all have their place. This will be my fall and winter close quarters killa, Will be purchasing a big bottle soon

Jay Z Gold is a very cool, sweet and subtle cologne.
This particular fragrance ranks in my top 5 and #5 because it is an aromatic, spicy scent for men composed by perfumer ilias ermenidis. This scent opens with a burst of fresh citrus before giving way to exotic spices of cardamom, ginger and pink pepper. The top notes of grapefruit, orange and lavender. Next, the middle notes of ginger, cardamom, violet leaf, pink pepper, cypress. Lastly, the base notes of this fragrance are vetiver, amber, teakwood, and vanilla.
So pros and cons on Jay Z Gold:
Pros – I absolutely love the cool and sweet smell this fragrance gives off. On me a lot of people get more of the vanilla vibe from it. Since my body words well with sweeter smelling scents this one has easily hit my top five and a lot people enjoy it. Very unique and different to his earlier release known Rocawear Evolution. Overall a job well done compared to other celebrity colognes. Definitely recommend people to try this one out.
Cons – The Longevity and Sillage both rank a moderate. The price going for this cologne is bad if you’re going to get it at Macy’s. You are going to pay roughly 72.00 USD there compared to what you would online which is roughly 47.00 USD. For that you’re better off buying something like 1 Million online which cost 10 USD less online than what Gold cost at Macy’s and it lasts two times longer than Gold.
To finish off this review if you are looking for a signature scent then I would have to recommend you Jay Z Gold. I have gotten a couple of compliments on it. Not as much, but still occasionally I will get someone who asks me what it is. I don’t use this as my signature scent, but for those who were thinking about considering it I have to say go for it.

  37. :

    5 out of 5

4/5 stars (From my review on Amazon)
“The scent: deep, cool, crisp, but sweet. The cologne itself is wonderful without smelling too synthetic or cheap (like a lot of other celebrity colognes do, in my opinion).
Longevity: It has great longevity, although I use an extra spray [or two] more of this cologne than I do with others because it is quite subtle. I would say that I can still smell it’s remnants on me at the end of a work day, which is pretty good.
Packaging: the box itself is simple enough, but the bottle is pretty nice. Looks good amongst other colognes in the cabinet.”
A lot of users describe the scent as very grapefruity, but I disagree. I think it’s a very smooth and cool scent that has some variation throughout the day, but a very solid product.

This scent seems to take a beating on this website and somehow it was not over hyped upon release seeing as how it is a rapper’s name brand.
I really like it, the blueberry note gives it a not-too-fruity aroma along with a not too sweet vibe.
I can easily see this as being able to cover both casual and more formal events.
It doesn’t radiate far from the body and the lifespan is okay, of course your body chemistry may have a different outcome.
I also believe that this scent is easily wearable every season and both night and day.

Was very excited to give this one a try;I truly thought that Jay Z wouldn’t put out there something that will disappoint his fans or whomever.Anyways, it gives a vibe like if it is an aftershave splash that strongly reminds of PR’s One Million.Though, ingredients are mostly synthetic,it has a nice longevity. Not sure if I will ever be able to apply it directly on my skin, but, probably, I will spray it on my leather jacket

I reviewed this when i first got it.. I will review it again after 3 months or so.
First off, I still like it.. I think it smells nice i like grapefruit notes.. This one does it well.
On me, the frag lasts about an average 5-7hrs.. Projection and sillage is decent as well.. I love getting a wiff of this when it is windy outside.

I bought this because it was described as sweet and grapefruity and rather feminine. Sadly on my skin it smells like totally masculine aftershave. No sweetness to it at all. All that comes out is Cardamom and Woods with a bit of aqua feel like Davidoff Cool Water! I’m actually quite disappointed. I will have to give it away. Will be for my dad then.

Got this as a sample from Sephora. Smells very generic. Notes are indistinguishable, just a soft, generic, pleasant smelling cologne. I honestly thought it was a women’s scent (I tested it without looking it up), it has a pretty sweet water tone to it, there is no real sharp or musky typical masculine cologne edge. It’s really soft and inoffensive, a general crowd pleaser that you would be hard pressed to find someone who would dislike what you are wearing/tell you your cologne is too strong.

  47. :

Got a bunch of samples from Von Maur. I agree with a previous reviewer that its very similar to Versace Eros.Without the longevity and projection. If you want a more subtle Eros this is for you.

  48. :

    3 out of 5

I was expecting a rip off of one million as lets face it this is marketed towards kids and 20 year olds who don’t know any better so Jigga could totally get away with it. It could be worse like Axe “gold temptation” which is the most generic garbage on the market trying to rip off that cologne everyone had but can’t put a finger on it.
All this is, is a rip off of David Beckham signature the light purple bottle with the metal label on it. That or somewhat similar to CK Euphoria for men. You can probably get both for the price of this. Jay Z doesn’t need any more of your money.
don’t buy it. Go to flea markets and get the signature or the euphroia at a shop.

  49. :

A fantastic idea to create a fragrance that hits on every element of every typical modern note and every sub category in the early years of 21st century fragrance.. Pink pepper, check. Violet leaf, check. Exotic woods, check. Obscure or untypical fruit on top, check. Ginger, check. Vanilla and amber, check. Starts off with a burst of fruity, citric, spicy and fresh and though usually these notes would create a sharpness together, in Gold the blending dramatically holds back the fragrance and mutes it with a cloud of nothingness over the top that cuts off the fragrance from really coming alive on the skin. It’s just bland instead. The note pyramid had so much potential as well, hopefully they come back and redo this and just add the word extreme to the edit.
After the top you quickly get hit with a barrage of aromatic notes that just like the top, would usually create a sharpness, especially against the ginger already in the top, but instead are very reserved and distant. There’s no bite here. It’s like a teen on too many anti-depressants, this just sleeps all day on the skin. This is why many people are assuming the fragrance is dead after 1-2 hours. It’s actually still there, but it goes into an incredibly subtle and elusive dry down of ambery vanilla and exotic woods that is hard to pick up after the second hour even if you bury your nose in your arm. That phase sticks around for the last few hours and feels like you aren’t wearing anything. Longevity is around 5-7 hours with sillage rather subtle and muted. Doesn’t have the flash or flamboyance you would expect given the attention paid to the flashiness of the bottle. Someone needs to get back and do a solid redux of this just like they did with Lacoste Challenge or Ungaro’s Apparation. We need more fireworks, had great potential to be a great celebrity fragrance with a unique pyramid and smell. Instead you will see it at discounters across North America by May,
    Scent: 7/10

Jay Z had a French designer engineer his fragrance. I have to say definitely unique. It changes with the seasons. In the winter it changes warm and woody and as it changes to simmer fresh and tropical. Great all year around scent. A great fragrance made with some oil for great long wear.SO SEDUCTIVE

I think this smells good 🙂 definitely a winter smell. This will be my “bed time” cologne when it’s colder out. It doesn’t last long and isn’t great in terms of projection, but it’s perfect for sitting at the house all day in, or an hour or two before you sleep.

I LOVE IT! Sure, it’s not exactly new but it is a very pleasing scent and projects not great but decent.
I have smelt this frag before, but was at the mall yesterday.. tested it out, and BAM i fell in love.. got home and oredered it.

I think you can wear this year round, almost any occasion.
Do i recommend? Yes! It is a definite try, don’t let the name push you away. Jay Z is a very successful man, so saying I’m wearing Gold by Jay Z isn’t gonna be hard for me! Im a Hov fan lol

To my surprise – a very pleasant perfume! I assumed it was a fragrance designed for women when I smelt it. Warm, sweet, and likeable.

Mmmh, that smells good on the strip! Original and clean smell I had to sniff the whole time on the strip.
But I was always perfumed everywhere (knees, hands, clothing) and had no place anymore for testing on the skin. Adorable and valuable bottle.
Edit: On the skin it smells long time clean and fresh, oh, very beautiful. For men only!!!

I agree with Trek and Dayzaway99. Us minorities get no love from the fragrance community. Ask Usher and Diddy.

I was surprised about this one. This fragrance is very good. Plenty of compliments and the lady at the counter was very generous with samples. Full bottle worthy!

Jay Z Gold. A sweet, fruity, woody, fresh fresh fragrance.
The box is preety cool. It seems like I found it buried with other treasures, key on the name.
The bottle is very simple with most of the attention on the lid. The lid is very reminiscent of ushers fragrance tops.
In short, the fragrance’s more prominent notes that I get are grapefruit, vetiver, and violet with Amber and vanilla.
The scent is nothing different but still incredible
This fragrance is perfect for anythime of the day. It is one of my favorites and I hope Jay z releases more.
    Lasting power about 8 hours
    Projection moderate
    Box 10/10
    Bottle 7/10
    Scent 10/10

    It smells good.
Synthetic blueberry holds sway for the early going, with an all-too-common “violet” “cardamom” combo in the heart (ed hardy love & luck, ysl l’homme, curve, burberry touch, etc. etc.). Spices and woods are well-nigh non-existent to my nose. As it dries down, vanilla, lavender, and generic Firminech amber accord #XXX come forward and it turns into something powdery and fruity-sweet which could be branded “Beyonce” just as easily.
It doesn’t smell like anything distinctive or even interesting, but still, it smells good. Safe. Versatile. Crowd-pleasing. Lasts a decent while, projects well. I’d recommend it to college age or under just as I’d recommend any commercial release designed by focus groups.

Yet another fragrance ruined by the ozonic, metallic accords that produce the chemical trash scent. Scrubber.

Got this as a sample at sephora. Sprayed it and hated it! Put my clothes on the next day and it smelled better to me. Was shocked to find out its for men.

It’s not bad, but its really generic. Reminds me of Burberry Rhythm.
not gonna buy it. longevity is good though

When I first tried it, I had assumed it was a woman” s fragrance,as it was placed next to other feminine scents, it smells nice, sweet, aromatic, I didn’t think it was for guys! Now, I guess for men out there who don’t like over spicy, dry, strong scents , this would be nice, very nice, in the soft category, this isn’t in your face masculine and dense, this is light, fresh and kind of distinguished..i can see my husband or one of my sons wearing this!!

I love this scent, and I am buying it for my husband – who will most likely immediately give it to our son as he is not a frag guy, though I keep trying things on him! And that’s fine. I think it’s elegant, understated, and it hits all the right notes for a sophisticated masculine scent. It is office friendly and it’s great for casual and formal dates too. I definitely get citrus and lavender and pepper, and the teak wood. It’s definitely a fougere at heart with a suggestion of vetyver. Projection is a foot or so, though my skin just drinks any perfume, with a quick fade out; about an hour and it’s gone.

I think celebrities can sell more bottels without putting their name on the fragrance. Who would buy a fragrance called Jay-z or Britney Spears ? It is sooooooo cheap.

I didn’t want to like it. I figured it was just some junk that Jay-Z put his name on. I was looking for a cologne while doing some Christmas shopping, and smelled nearly everything at Macys and Dillards. I picked up GOLD just out of curiosity, and was surprised at how much I liked it. It was very mellow, and not to sweet or musky. After smelling nearly everything else, I kept going back to GOLD. Eventually, I found a gift set that included a bottle of aftershave along with the cologne and bought it. I still love the smell a month later, and my only knock is

Gold Jay Z
