Oh dear. I liked this for the first ten seconds and then held out for a couple of hours, hoping for a miracle before I went and scrubbed it off. It’s just a linear, overly sweet, cloying dark chocolate… and I love dark chocolate, but not as a perfume. (I didn’t get any bergamot in the scent at all).

Not a bad scent…But I think it’s expensive for a cologne,it’s no different than a Demeter fragrance. Both are colognes.

Hmm… What can I say about this one. Bergamot usually gives me a fresh feeling, but this fragrance doesn’t do that. To me, it’s more like a orange flavored rich chocolate with a lot of sugar!!! It’s a little bitter and sharp. I think Payard loves to dump sugar on everything and no holding back here. Good gosh! How could someone enjoy a scent when it’s all sticky and sweet? I don’t know. If you think Pink Sugar were sweet, try one of these Payards. Your nostril might bleed.
(Payard ain’t such a horrible fragrance, but it’s just really really too darn sweet, that’s all)

I disagree that this is unisex. In my opinion this is completely femme. It’s mostly dark, bitter chocolate and I enjoyed it for a short time but it quickly became too “Hershey’s Special Dark” on me. If you want to smell like a Hershey’s bar, give it a shot. But considering that Payard is a high end eatery in NYC, I don’t think that’s the smell they were really going for.
