Description

Boss Bottled Intense came out in early 2015 as an intensified interpretation of the original Boss Bottled from 1998, which represents “a man of today.” In September 2016, Boss Bottled Intense Eau de Parfum will be available as the first EDP of this collection. Boss Bottled Intense amplifies woody and spicy aromas in a higher concentration of aromatic oils.

The composition is equal to the original Boss Bottled Intense Eau de Toilette, only it features a 14% higher concentration of essential oils and is reinforced in durability. Fresh apple is balanced with notes of green orange blossom. Its spicy heart consists of cloves, cinnamon and geranium. The base is composed of precious woody notes of sandalwood, cedar and vetiver, wrapped in vanilla.

The face of the campaign is Gerard Butler. The bottle of BOSS BOTTLED INTENSE EDP repeats the design of the classic BOSS BOTTLED, but the fluid behind the matte glass is dark and the packaging is designed in dark gray. The fragrance is available as a 50 and 100 ml Eau de Parfum.

A classy, well-blended crowd pleaser with subtle synthetic undertones. 1 spray on each earlobes, base of throat, both wrists, and I’m covered for 6 hours, which is more than fine for me!

gentlemanly, elegant and classy. Smells like layton on clothes late into the drydown. Good performance but rather soft, doesnt project like crazy so far

Sprayed 2 sprays in the morning and I just got the craziest compliment from a girl at 8:00pm.

I bought this after smelling it at the store, I didn’t really ‘love’ the smell, it is boring to me, no idea why people love it. I mainly bought it cause of the alleged hugeperformance, and i’m disappointed, performance is ok…

The original was one of my absolute favorites growing up. Bought this intense EDP version for the sake of nostalgia and it did not disappoint. Great performance. Compliment getter. Sweet, cozy, comforting and very easy to wear. An absolute gem of a fragrance. Can be picked up for cheap at discounters. Great value for money 10/10.
This thing lasts and lasts on my skin with amazing projection and sillage. I’m surprised that some reviewers are getting poor performance out of it. Maybe they bought a fake?
I have a pretty decent collection and this one is at my absolute top.

I love this Hugo Boss Intense EDP fragrance! It smells like Apple Pie, but so masculine! It’s heavenly for the fall season weather.

  7. :

    4 out of 5

a cinnamon , apple and brandy smell. sillage is 1 hour, longevity is mostly skin scent after that. Don’t expect more than 4 hours, this is a skin scent.

Sweet, synthetic apple plus vanilla opening. Drydown becomes quite powdery but the woody notes reign it back towards a masculine scent. Very pleasant and the sweetness goes all the way through the life of the scent. A good mix of 1 Million and the original Boss Bottled.
I’d say the projection is close to the original in strength, which is to say it projects above average. Longevity is definitely improved over the original. It lasts all day and into the next.

Extremely versatile fragrance. Loved it from start to finish, it lasts an eternity and is a pleasant smell to carry around – not overburdening or offensive to anyone. IT does the job whether you’re in an office, shopping, visiting family (although I’d prefer something a little sweeter for intimate settings like with family)

    Based on a 2018 batch bottle (8100).
This is my first contact with a Hugo Boss fragrance, and I have been wearing this for some days now at mild temperatures daytime. I must say I am positively impressed. In general the scent is very pleasant and also it feels nice and conforting to be surrounded by it. Really. Unfortunately, I don’t know how it compares to the others of the line regarding notes for comparison. Focusing solo on what the scent is, what I can sense in this is a little spiced but mostly sweet creamy scent. I don’t sense a clear apple note, but there is for sure some subtle and light fruit / flower note, maybe due to the orange blossom. The cinnamon and vanilla are for sure present and the ones that stand out from the composition all the time imo.
Performance wise, I can have at least 2h of very good scent bubble and then it stay more close to the skin for a very good amount of hours. This stay on my skin from morning to afternoon without disapear completely. Scent wise this doesn’t seem to evolve that much as it settles down in comparison to other scents I own imo.
I am impressed and will for sure have a closer look to other Hugo Boss scents to add to my arsenal.

Blind bought this baby, even after swearing off from Boss, Lacoste, Dunhill, etc. because of the usual mediocre performance.
Well to be frank, still not that impressed. The scent is good mind you, but it has the distinctive Hugo Boss DNA, which sets it apart as “Hugo Boss”, but hence makes it difficult to actually differentiate between the numerous Boss Bottled frags and the Boss ” the scent” frags. The cinnamon, vanilla, sandalwood combine for the creamy, leathery dry down, which is infact quite the delicious aroma. Longevity for me is fine at 6 hours, considering its an EDP, was expecting more. The projection however drops after 2 hours, so i get none of the huge projection the other reviewers are claiming. September 2016 batch

This fragrance is a masterpiece that smells like spiced apples with vanilla and cinnamon. I can also detect a hint of orange blossom. It’s extremely pleasant to the nose and leans masculine although it’s sweet. It smells kind of like something you’d order from Starbucks with apple and cinnamon in it in the fall. As this is the Intense Eau de Parfum version of Boss Bottled, it smells spicier and darker than the regular Boss Bottled (an iconic mens’ fragrance with a primary note of apple) and would work best in fall or winter in my opinion. On the drydown it smells the same but the apple and cinnamon notes become even stronger (while the orange blossom disappears). Sillage is strong while longevity is also strong at over 8 hours. Overall, this is by far the best thing to come out by the Hugo Boss house in my opinion.

If you think this has bad performance it may be time to spray less or get your nose tested, it has excellent longevity

I just love Boss. What else can I say I’ve tried Scent EDP, EDT, Bottled Night, EDT, now this EDP. A bit less fruity so I use it when I want something to last throughout office and after work. Love it.

My experience on EDP is great, have a bottle from 2016 which I bought upon release and the performance is absolutely amazing, projects nicely for about 4 hours with the whiffs for a rest of the day, longevity on clothes is great, it stays for days.

After 6 months using this fragrance, all i can say is that this Boss Bottled Intense EDP and Boss Bottled EDT has a GREAT smell but very very BAD performance.
I will never buy this bottled line again sorry.
Dont have any projection on my skin, stays close to the skin if i put 2 or 30 sprays.

  19. :

It’s a decent scent by all means, don’t get me wrong, but frankly it’s a tad bit boring innit? I find myself reaching for it less and less even though on paper it should be the other way round. Feels a little heavy handed with not enough nuance to it. . . Will revisit it in the colder weather perhaps and see how i feel about it.

  20. :

    4 out of 5

For an EDP it is under performing, longevity & sillage is ok only, the opening is not similar to the original but the dry down is similar. For me just an OK frag. They could have put more “mojo” in it then this one may be a best seller. Tried the original Boss bottled also(2017 batch)…performance is a big time disappointment!! Watered down to the max!

  21. :

This is a nice cozy fragrance but it’s not all that. I am underwhelmed. I admit that I expected more. More power, more in your face fragrance. It was a blind buy, one that I am not upset about but I am not sure if I would have bought a bottle if I would have smelled it first.

  22. :

Mind blowing, a master piece. I just want to bury my nose in this gorgeous apple cinnamon composition. If I didn’t already have a signature scent, this would be it.

Back in about 2011 I bought my first Boss bottled and it was amazing, I loved the stuff. Fast forward to this year and I decide that I kinda miss Boss Bottled so I went out and bought a new bottle. After using it once I took it back and got a refund. The same scent was there but it was so subtle and quiet and lasted tops an hour. Cleary Boss Bottled was the victim of reformulation. How heartbreaking.
Thankfully I discovered this EDP version. Its very similar to the vintage Boss Bottled but is slightly more warm and sophisticated. The dominating vanilla note in the original is swapped with apple and cinnmon but it works just as good in my opinion. Great stuff

I’m a real estate agent. I was showing a house today, and when I walked in, it smelled like dogs and cats. Well I walked in about 10 minutes before my client and was just waiting at the front door. When my client walked in she said “mmmmhm the owners must have just baked cookies before they left… it smells so good in here!!”

  25. :

Sniffing this fragrance from the bottle is so freaking addicting. Maybe because of the sweet, apple note as I like it on fragrances and air fresheners so I really enjoy this one quite a lot. It doesn’t project loudly on me, I’d say about an arm’s length for a good 4-5 hours or so. The longevity easily hits 10+ hours and what I like about Boss Bottled Intense EDP is it performs consistently throughout the day. I rate this a 9/10, insane value right here.

  26. :

    5 out of 5

I didn’t care much for the Intense Edt version, it was too sharp, harsh and lacked a bit of sweetness. Edp is much more pleasant, in fact so good that I immediatly decided to by a bottle. Smoother, rounder and sweeter than the Edt. Good lasting power. The clove note gets very prominent in the later drydown.

im from manila, philippines and I got a 2017 version. damn it stayed on my shirt for 24 hours! smells sexy and great, longevity and projection is beast! A must have in one’s perfume arsenal! 10/10

Hugo Boss Bottled EDT and this Bottled EDP all of them have performance issues, The EDP version its weak too,its a shame because smells amazing, projection with 30 sprays? nothing about 30 minutes its a skin scent “No its not fake , i bought in a store “

  29. :

    5 out of 5

Decent, safe warm spicy scent. I picked up a little bourbon and some spice (peppery, clove, warm and comforting) but that was about it. The lasting power was a joke and the silage was nonexistent. It stayed close to my skin and lingered about an hour before I totally forgot I had tried it.

  30. :

    4 out of 5

It is beautiful but I feel it doesnt have the same charm of the original bottled.
Longevity is very good but the projection is not very wide as it stays close to your skin.
Complements magnet and impossible to be disliked in my opinion.

  31. :

    3 out of 5

I’m on the fence, I’m struggling to warm to this scent. It’s not terrible by any stretch, but there is a note in this that is putting me off. Or a combination of notes? Maybe I need to give it more time.
I am happy to say it smells unique to me. I have no others in my collection that come close to it. That’s a positive.
It’s warm and spicy with the cinnamon notes taking centre stage. I don’t have the EDT version so I can’ compare the two. Initial spray is strong and a little overbearing to me, but only cause I’m not totally convinced about the scent. It does tone down and longevity seems to be quite good.
I’m gonna have to come back after a few wearings for a final verdict.
I will say this though, don’t blind buy it. Try it first. I don’t believe it’s an overly safe scene to blind buy. Definitely a cooler weather fragrance.

I am seriously considering getting this. I tried it on in the mall today and it projects very well on me.
The strong cooked apple note combined with cinnamon is delicious. Even though it is not listed above, I am sure I can smell a fair bit of leather in this too. Like a new car seat kind of smell. I also am picking up on something that’s also in Joop wow! but I can’t put my finger in it…
Very happy and uplifting scent. If I can find it cheap I will pick it up soon.

  33. :

this one is a fruitier version of the scent, i recommend you to stick to the original if you’re a new buyer, it smells more serious.

  34. :

One of my all-time favorite fragrances. It’s strong, masculine, intriguing and very sexy. I also bought the deodorant stick, to give this fragrance even more power. Hugo Boss Bottled Intense has always been on my wish-list. I have smelled it before on a friend of mine. It smelled absolutely gorgeous. The apple and cinnamon are good companions in this fragrance. With the vanilla added, it gives this soft, yet rich touch that only Hugo Boss can pull off. I’m very satisfied with this purchase and will definitely buy a bigger bottle when I’m through with my current one.
    Emotions/feelings: Confident, Sexy, Professional
    Occasions: Casual, Formal (good versatility)
    10/10 for sure!

I just got this a few days ago and after a few days of full wearing, i m pretty amazed by the longevity. Projects for around 2-3 hours and consistently get 12 hours of longevity on my skin on a hot weather. Definitely a must test before buying a full bottle to see if it last for you

  36. :

I know I’m going to be the only one that says this. I smell a burnt rubber undertone in this. It’s so overpowering that I can’t get through it. However if you like this scent. The performance of it and the sillage of it… is at 100%. I bought it for someone else who wears is it almost every day. I can smell it on him when he leaves for work. When he comes home from work. And then we go to the gym together after work and I can still smell it in the gym. It is definitely worth the money if you like the way it smells.

I want to start by saying that I’ve never worn any Boss fragrances before. Before this last year I’d never worn much more than Tommy, Curve and back in my younger days Brut. I still think Tommy is a nice fragrance but I’m glad my wife got me to branch out because there are so many amazing fragrances out there. I had watched a youtube review on this one and it sounded like something I might enjoy so I picked up a bottle and at first I liked it but it’s as I’ve worn it more that I’ve truly fallen in love with this fragrance! Some have said that the original is better and if that’s true I can’t wait to try the original, but to me this is just an incredible scent! Something about the apple and the way it blends with all the other notes that’s almost a little hypnotizing and the longevity and sillage on this one are super nice!

  38. :

    4 out of 5

My initial thought when I sprayed this is that it is a really good sweet fragrance. The more I wear it though, the more it reminds of a cheap drug store fragrance. Don’t get me wrong this does smell quite good but, it smells synthetic. It is hard to explain in words but it just smells kind of cheap. It reminds me of something I used to wear in high school, I just can’t remember the name, but in high school I wore very cheap fragrances as I didn’t have money. The longevity, projection and sillage are actually pretty fantastic on this, so it isn’t cheap in that aspect.
I don’t want to hate on this fragrance, because at least Boss managed to give this some killer longevity/projection, it just isn’t up to the standards of some of the other fragrances I have.
If you can find this for around $50 a bottle I would say get it, but at full price I personally don’t think it’s worth it. Unless you want a very sweet long lasting fragrance, then give this a try, just make sure to test it more than once, as I should have before purchasing.

This is great i don’t get why people don’t talk more about this amazing juice
I try boss bottle original and smell good but it sucks in longevity ,this bad boy is a beast
One of the best release of 2016
for the price I paid 43 shipped is a steal

Real Talk, Tried spraying both Hugo Boss Intense(Left Inner Elbow, which I have For almost A year now) and Hugo Boss Intense Parfum (right Inner Elbow, which I bought just a week ago ) on my Inner Elbows to test both frags all day longevity. and Guess what…After I showered before bedtime Hugo Boss Intense EDT Stays on my LEFT inner elbow like it is inside my skin already, while the parfum Version on the right has completely gone. I just cant believe how the EDT VERSION OUTSHINES ITS EDP VERSION ON THIS FRAG. Has anybody tried and Realized the same thing?
and the EDT version Has A FRESHER VIBE MAKING IT A FRAG THAT CAN BE USED FOR SUMMER AS WELL.

  41. :

    5 out of 5

This is a really nice flanker and Boss has done a good job with it. Imagine the original but darker, rounder, spicier, and in some way–creamier. The sharpness of the original has been reduced in favor of depth and darkness, though it still possesses that signature apple accord we love. And while it’s a darker, richer fragrance it never feels heavy or stifling in any way. Performance is very solid with excellent longevity and good projection. I never judge projection simply by how loud something is. Projection is best when it feels appropriate for the scent. The projection of Boss Bottled Intense Eau de Parfum is about one and a half to two feet while still, which creates a nice little bubble around its subject. People will notice this, but it does not have an intrusive presence unless you overspray.
Good for fall, winter, and spring, this is the way to go, in my opinion, when considering Boss Bottled. While it’s not worth owning this and the original (they’re too similar), if you’re looking to upgrade it might be worth giving your bottle of the EDT to a friend and buying this EDP. You’ll be pleased with the improvement. And if you don’t own any iterations of this popular Boss release, but want to, then the Eau de Parfum is definitely the one you want. Thumbs up for this quality parfum and for actually releasing a worthwhile, not-unnecessary flanker.

Stronger more spicy version than both
the regular and intense one, sprayd it
on my hand 14 hours ago and still very
much detectable, nice if you want a long
    lasting frag.

  43. :

    5 out of 5

Deep, rich, and sensual. The apple and cinnamon blend beautifully with the wooden notes. And it performs like a…umm…boss. 2 sprays is more than enough and it’ll still linger after a shower.
Basically, everything I hoped an “intense” fragrance would be, without being even a tad cloying. Powerful, but in a subtle way. Excellent cologne. Definitely a fall/winter fragrance though, it would be way too heavy for warmer weather.
Recommended without thinking twice about it.

  44. :

Awesome fragrance. It smell so pleasing and natural, I cannot recognize a note over another because they are so well blended e balanced. It is better than the edt, richer and more natural, last longer and project a lot more, at least on my skin. I really love this fragrance, and ladys love it. Definitely recommended.

OK, great to hear the latest review by jayded. Just got this six days ago and wore it to work once. I can say it lasted 9-10 hrs during a somewhat sweaty day.. i’m still not sure about projection.
Now, I have them both, two-sprayed on paper, the Intense EDT, and the EDP…Kind of like the Bleu de Chanel comparison, is coming to mind. The new EDP smells more rounded and deep, as the EDT is more bright, and louder, if that makes any darn sense.
In the mid, the EDP is more spicy, as I sniff it very close. Now, past 20 mins, the EDP strip has more oomph.
    Whatever…Aloha, dudes.

  46. :

I had given a review here previously on the EDT version of this. It was great but I did mention that longevity was an issue and hoped Hugo boss would come up with a EDP. They did and I have purchased it! The projection is way stronger and boy this fragrance lasts really long. This is quite beastly. There is something about this fragrance that I really love. It’s so versatile to wear. Well done Hugo Boss…this is your best scent by far!

ok follow-up comment: So this last black friday I was at the mall and happened to be passing by the Boss Department Kiosk I asked the lady is this the EDP?! she replied without hesitation: Yes. So I kept on smelling my wrist throughout the time i spent roaming in the mall. So here’s the thing and we might need to call C.S.I. on this one:
    1. given that I own the Intense EDT, the scent of the EDP has improved (added depth?)
    2. longevity wise- now here’s the part that made me almost question the credibility of the innocent lady. The longevity had me doubting “could it be that she just sprayed the regular Intense version?” but i’ll assume the best and say it is the EDP and I can safely conclude that both versions have very very similar longevity.

  48. :

    3 out of 5

Ok I carefully tested EDT Intense and EDP Intense, similar amount 2 full sprays from a 100 ml bottle to my left and right arm. During the first 1-2 hours the EDP smells better, more woody, to my nose not so much apple as the EDT and stronger and every way better.
After 4 hours the EDT still smells great and performs well but to my surprise the EDP has basically gone. ???

  49. :

    5 out of 5

dont fool yourself. i tested them both on my skin and on paper. smeels the same and lasts and projects the same. they just made juice little bit darker and put high price. i would buy it no matter price, because i love the smell, but its just the same as intense edt.

  50. :

    3 out of 5

Good news and bad news. In terms of smell it smells very similar to Bottled Intense so if you are a fan of intense you will be a fan of this too. i personally thought the intense was okay but i like the original better. The good, the performance on this one is excellent. very oily parfum. great projection and beastly longevity. beats the original and the intense EDT in performance by a mile.

  51. :

    3 out of 5

Got like 4 samples after I have purchased pure tonka , I prefere this one for summer too , well blended I am enjoying the apple here too nice and safe and lasts very long 5+ on my skin and 8+ on my clothes and Im definitely getting myself one. Pity it’s too expensive but worth the price

  52. :

    5 out of 5

Excellent performance. That extra 14% concentrated juice plus additional fixatives is exactly what Hugo needed.
Now why it took 3 versions to finally get it right is beyond me.
But this is a winner. Makes my top ten list of girl approved scents available right now.

  53. :

    4 out of 5

I am not sure if this is a necessary release BUT there is no denial this has BEASTLY PERFORMANCE.
Very similar to the Intense EDT except that it is more spicy woody, less fruity floral. Still has a great vanilla note.
The projection is very impressive. I sprayed it with other perfumes including V&R Spicebomb and Armani Code Profumo on tester cards to test the performance and sat the cards on a table across where I am sitting, and it was the only fragrance that I could smell from that distance.
Lasting power is 12+ hours, and i think it is worth the investment if you have not tried the original Intense EDT.

  54. :

    4 out of 5

I seriously don’t understand all the negative and sarcasm towards this edp i have loved the edt for years bought the edp and there’s a HUGE difference in silage and longevity got a few compliments already. Sprayed some on my jacket collar and a week later it’s still projecting subtley. For me this is a amazing fragrance a classic but way improved. I LOVE it.

  55. :

Tried it on the weekend, very confusing release…couldn’t spot a difference with the EDT, longevity is possibly worse than the EDT.

Come on BOSS? I mean… REALLY?? Was this P&G’s last desperate flanker to flog that dead horse through the gates of the knackers’ yard? If you’re going to bother doing the ‘Intense’ in the first place, SURELY you want it to last as long as possible anyway… so just do it EDP in the first place… No, wait… of course… the next one is released towards the end of 2016 as an ‘ABSOLUTE’… of the EDP… of the Intense, right?

The first comment in the article about Boss Bottled Intense (EDT), written by Pinnacos, was “If you’re going to add a higher percentage of “precious oils,” why not up them to EDP levels? Or will that be the Hugo Boss Bottled Intense Extreme flanker to be released in 2016?” Creepy…

So, why didn’t they release the intense version as an edp in the first place? o.0
