I know this was very popular a few years ago so I kinda neglected to try it out until today.
It’s a very warm ambery orchid, great for the colder months.
It’s a comforting scent that seems inoffensive, would go great with sweaters and snow.
It’s sweet, but not like powerhouse Jimmy Choo with the toffee and patchouli, this is more like a baby Nirvana Black with the slight powdery sweetness.
I really like Indigo for the freshness but it doesn’t last as long as Midnight Fleur.

This goes on a nice floral with a little sweet but as it dries down it gets sweeter & sweeter. I like gourmand & sweet perfumes but whatever the sweet smell is here i dont like it.

I just started my perfume journey at 21 years of age and have always been intrigued by the NEST line since sephora started carrying them. Only now have I picked up a discovery set with MF, Indigo, and Citrine. Frankly, I came to love and appreciate Midnight Fleur rather than having a love-at-first-sniff. I initially took it for too unique and unfamiliar but I found myself idley and mildly intriguingly reapplying the rollerball on my wrist every evening as I studied, and by the 4th or 5th day I realized I love it. It is quite linear but within its linearity it possesses an identifiable depth of jasmine, vanilla orchid, and warm yet slightly spicy exotic woods and amber. I normally don’t like scents with patchouli (an essential oil my nosebuds simply don’t jive with) but in MF it just adds more of a foundation and longevity rather than punching my nose.
MF smells almost gourmand to me! (Out of all the new perfumes i picked up the bf likes this the most and calls it the “cheesecake” scent.) It smells like the crust of a cheesecake: slightly spiced (apple pie-like spices), warm and delectably sweet. As the name suggests, it’s a little “dark” but not too dark to wear during the day imo. Each note definitely support each other in such a wonderful way. Perfect amount of warmth, spice, floral and sweetness (from the amber and vanilla orchid). Yes, I’m 21 but this is not a youthful scent. Rather it’s for any age and person of which wearing this makes them feel warm/cozy, sensual and perhaps slightly sexy.
As I can only speak for the 4ml rollerball until I run out of it and buy a bottle, I’d say that longevity is moderate whereas sillage is more personal (softer side of moderate sillage). I wouldnt mind wearing this for all seasons; more so the cooler months and/or evenings… Perhaps not during the spring, and summer days as it just doesn’t invoke the feeling of blooming florals, lush greenery, or solar heat. All in all, it’s a keeper!

I’ve had several friends go completely gaga over Midnight Fleur. One said she wanted to lick her arm after trying my sample. Another bought her own bottle. So I can see that it’s very popular, it’s probably the most popular Nest fragrance. For me personally, it’s a bit too rich and sweet. It’s a very strong vanilla and can make me feel sick after a day of wearing. I gave the rest of my Scentbird flask to the arm licker.

it is too sweet on me-the vanilla orchids smell like coconut-and that is efinitely a ‘no’ for me. i have a mini-i will not be finishing it!

So in love with this fragrance. It is so beautiful. Me and my honey both love it! Its sweet but not too sweet its crisp but not bitter or harsh. Floral but not so much that my boyfriend couldn’t wear it. I think my favorite of the nest line. Definitely a love! Thank you so much for this gift GoingBlonde! What an unexpected treat!

I tried this a few years ago and wasn’t sure what all the hype was about. I thought I would try it now since my fragrance preferences have changed. This is the perfect example of how body chemistry really can play a role in how perfume smells on you because this was TERRIBLE on me. But I know people love it, so it truly must be a body chemistry thing. I love the way it smells on the test strip

The second I put this on I’m hit with a strong whiff of sweet, SWEET play-doh orchids. It weakens after about 15 minutes, but never fully leaves the fragrance. I wanted this to smell darker and more…gothy/ethereal?
Orchid, amber, patchouli…I wanted to love this so much but it just doesn’t play nice on my skin. It *almost* works in the cold Colorado weather (35°F max) but if my wrist warms up in the slightest then this turns into a play-doh nightmare. I’ll be passing this on to one of my friends who will hopefully rock it better than I can.
One thing I will say is that all of the dark floral illustrations inspired by Mrs. Delaney are absolutely beautiful and I would love love love to get my hands on some similar prints for my home.

This is absolutely intriguing fragrance that blooms immediately on your skin. Its like edible playdoh and oh so yummy. I also noticed my husband snuggles a little closer when I wear it.
It’s very long lasting but the dry down is a whole different animal. I couldn’t figure out why my house smelled like must or mildew until I realized it was the remnants of this perfume from the night before.

This is so delicious and creamy on the top and deepened by the mysterious woods at the bottom. Gorgeous, sexy and powerful stuff.

I love orchids and I LOVE this fragrance. It is very sweet, but quite sexy and dark also. I think it adds up to a wonderful combination. I think my closest thing to it would be Madonna ToD Naked, but I prefer Nest Midnight Fleur. Lasting power and sillage are good. I really love this scent from my tester spray and hope to someday acquire it; onto the want list it goes! I believe it is a scent that could safely be worn around many different people, and would be a good work option.

Anyone think this similar to Rebelle Fleur Rihanna? I do…and agree w many here who say its tad too sweet. Need to find one a bit less sweet for my taste but this is long lasting! Now that i think about it it’s also close to Jlo Sunkissed which i luv!! If u like this u may like those!

Received a sample and loved it. Bought the rollerball, because I now have commitment issues with most fragrances. Glad I didn’t buy the full size.
I will say it is very long lasting. It smells good on me, but it kinda has something in it that smells “young” to me. There is a common ingredient in alot of fragrances that make it smell a tad too sweet.
I still wear it every now and then though.

Wonderful, rich, sweet but not cloying, unexpectedly good in the heat. This is a perfume for a grown woman who is comfortable and confident in her skin.
Good projection for multiple hours, and excellent longevity on my frag-drinking skin. I sprayed on my outer forearm at least seven hours ago, and can still smell traces of it on my skin.
Midnight Fleur is my favorite Nest fragrance, above even Paradise.

I really like this it’s sweet and kinda masculine. I don’t really think it’s very similar to Angel but it is in the same vein. If anything I like this better, there aren’t as many different things going on it’s less “busy” and that ambergris slightly salty and unmistakable. This passes my longevity test ( can still smell it on my skin after a shower or the day after wearing it) I need a FB. UPDATE: I swapped one of the most expensive perfumes I’ve ever owned for a 100 ml bottle of this and I am so happy with the trade, this one speaks to my soul

Boo, it’s only available in the US, boo. I would love to get my hands on it, we need a Sephora in Europe as well it would seem.

Midnight Fluer is a long lasting fragrance. It goes on quite sweet and gourmand. The Patchouli comes out strong in the second phase, about 4 minutes in and lingers to the end. I sprayed this on in the evening and still smelled it on my arm in the morning about 11 hours later. I think it’s the Patchouli that helps longevity. It’s a pretty scent if you enjoy gourmands and it has a unisex thing going so if your not fond of unisex fragrances and prefer ultra feminine you may not enjoy this. I feel it’s on the same vein as Angel. Would definitely be a good buy as it does hold on to the skin for some time.

Midnight Fleur is incredibly warm and quite sweet (almost cloying I’d say). There’s a powderiness to it at drydown. Not usually my cup of tea given how sweet it is, BUT i must admit that I do love to wear this to bed in the fall/winter. It’s so cozy.

Like a previous reviewer said, this is a step up from a Bath and Body Works type fragrance. Smells pretty, but a little too sweet/fruity for my taste. It smelled GREAT on the blotter, very sexy. But once on my skin all I get is sweet vanilla. This might actually be better layered with one of the other Nest fragrances.

I acquired a deluxe sample of this one at Sephora when it was a perk for BI points and was in love. I savored the bottle and didn’t really wear it because it felt so special at the time. Well, when I started actually using it I realized it was way too sweet and strong. I don’t find it wearable at all. I have the theory it was developed to smell nice at first sniff but not bearable for long periods.

  24. :

    4 out of 5

Sweet, very strong, almost cloying. It’s a pretty familiar type of scent. I was hoping for some smokiness, but it was mostly overly sweet amber-y vanilla floral. I couldn’t smell jasmine at all. Reminded me of some of the strong BBW amber-heavy scents.

  25. :

    3 out of 5

I quite like Midnight Fleur. The first time I sprayed it on a blotter, I didn’t like it, but the SA at Sephora suggested that I get a sample to test.
As others have mentioned, this scent stays fairly consistent in its development. Woodsy vanilla floral is how it kind of stays the whole day. Longevity is excellent – stays on for the duration of a work day in an office setting, and projection is moderate.
My only complaint with Nest scents is that they kind of smell like their price points… meaning, they are almost like a step up from Bath & Body Works, but not quite designer and not niche. Just saying. In Midnight Fleur’s case, it almost smells like a lighter imposter of Tom Ford’s Black Orchid.
I do notice that the perfumer of this is Jerome Epinette, who did some of my favorite Byredo scents, but whereas Byredo’s fragrances smell like they have very quality ingredients, Nest’a have a more synthetic tinge. Nothing wrong with it, and not bashing at all, but just keep that in mind.
All in all, I do like Midnight Fleur and am considering getting a full bottle. I think it will be nice for the winter time.

Back in the 70s I loved Avon’s Skin So Soft bath oil. Every time I sprayed Midnight Fleur it kept reminding me of something – then it came to me – Skin So Soft (which lost its appeal after they touted it for use as a bug repellant and everyone outdoors smelled of it). If this was the 70s I would probably have loved Midnight Fleur – now not so much.

Too heavy and sweet for my taste… Cloying. I like Nest’s Indigo much better.
I wanted to love the Nest range of perfumes because of the really beautiful and artistic packaging, but unfortunately I was underwhelmed with the perfumes themselves.

Black Amber and Woodsy! This scent is so smoky and with rich spicy notes. The bottle is gorgeous as well.

  30. :

    3 out of 5

This is sweet, which I like. However, the amber is strong. I also hate patchouli and amber as a general rule. I am not picking up any jasmine here, even as a top note.
This is an interesting fragrance, not unpleasant, but not for me. I think this would smell great on a man or a woman. It is a unisex scent. I wouldn’t be surprised to smell this on a man. It’s dark, sweet and warm. I smell the vanilla in it, a warm spicy vanilla. It is comforting in the autumn and winter.
I wore this for three days, enough to understand it and make a decision. I don’t hate it, but it isn’t me. It was long-lasting (for me), lasting 6 or 7 hours.
Nest makes very good scents. I am a fan of Nest. This isn’t my jam, but the composition and wear is good. I got this as a free sample, and I will not be purchasing a bottle of any size.

Another example of amber doing great things on my skin. It starts out as this warm, spicy patchouli/vanilla/amber with the faintest hint of florals, and about 6 hours later it has become a tasty amber vanilla skin scent. Perfect for snuggling in these cooler fall afternoons, not too strong or overpowering. I have a 3 ml tester and I have been loving it. I usually wear about 1 ml a day with respraying, but with this I don’t need to do that to enjoy the scent. I will definitely be getting a full sized bottle when this tester is finished.

I’m wearing this as I type this and I do want to say that to me this scent is very unique and a mile apart from any other department store fragrance. When I wear this I can’t help but think of elegant long dresses, a cocktail in hand, but behind a mask to add a bit of mystery. I had signed up for a Scentbird subscription and this is the first perfume I had lined up in my que to try and I’m very pleased by it. It’s not a name that I have heard anywhere else but now I am intrigued to try any others that Scentbird might offer. This perfume could easily become an every day scent for me. My boyfriend really approves of this scent too!

Gosh how I love this! I was just a Sephora not too long ago and a kind gentlemen sprayed this on a tester for me and I instantly fell in love with it! He made a sample for me and I’m pretty sure I’ll end up buying this. What a lovely fragrance!

After reading these reviews, I was dreading testing this and saved it towards the end of my sample kit. I am very pleasantly surprised! The black amber, exotic woods, and patchouli take center stage in a spicy, earthy scent. I swore I smelled cinnamon when I first applied. It is sweetened with vanilla orchid and is simply delicious. I don’t get even a whiff of jasmine. I would never have thought to label this a floral, EVER. It is a very well blended scent and linear on me. I will be buying this in the fall and wear through the winter. Somehow this is cozy, heavy sweater yet sexy as hell frag. It is a lovely paradox. This is the best holiday scent I can think of. I think this could possibly be a great unisex scent.

  35. :

Fall evenings, cashmere sweaters, cozying up by the fire with your man and a cup of something hot. That’s what Midnight Fleur evokes. The sultry amber includes just a hint of creamy vanilla. The jasmine is hiding in the background, letting the warm woods and amber take center stage. I tried something out of my comfort zone by dabbing a bit of this on, then I was hooked. This is now my signature scent for the colder months.
Update: After months of wearing this, it is my absolute favorite, even in warmer weather. Nowadays I pick up a pineapple accord right out of the bottle; it also gets more of a smoky feel if I spray it on my hair (the “black” amber). Sillage is soft, but longevity is pretty good.

Winter 2015/16 Impulse buy. Regret!! Tried it several times. It’s quirky. Something about the notes clash rather than blend or harmonize. I’ll use it as air freshener in the car, or some other such use, NOT on my skin.

  37. :

    4 out of 5

Smells like a quality perfume version of Bath & Body’s Moonlight Path.

  38. :

    3 out of 5

Like angelpainter mentioned, I also get a coconut note on first spritz. This is lovely sweet floral without smelling too lollipop or candy like. It does well with my chemistry; it doesn’t morph very far from what I smell at the beginning. Stays pretty much the same from start to finish. Which isn’t a bad thing as this smells quite nice.

  39. :

    4 out of 5

This is a really different perfume. I honestly can say that I don’t have anything like it, in full – I can pick out some notes that remind me briefly of other fragrances (Hypnotic Poison being one) but it’s definitely it’s own scent and I love how dark it is, too.
It starts off with a dapple-shadow effect, where you get light-dark-light-dark interplaying. I can definitely say it is a musky kind of scent but not what you usually come upon. It smells of a good quality composition and I love all the notes that are listed – black amber, night blooming jasmine — wow. And if you’ve ever had a chance to smell night blooming jasmine, goodness!
I only ordered a sample to see if I would like it. I first came upon NEST while visiting NYC and a Sephora there but I don’t recall being especially taken by any of them and it’s a shame because I would have grabbed a bottle of this. I may have to find a bottle on eBay, because I would love to add this to my collection and make it something I rotate often.
If you’re looking for something a bit different, dark, distinctive, musky and sexy… this might enchant you.

  40. :

Nice smelling to me, but the two people I had sniff it said it smelled “powdery” and “like old lady flowers”. Might just be my chemistry.

  41. :

    5 out of 5

I just purchased this perfume on a whim, after a perfume specialist at Sephora recommended it. Boy, am I glad I did, because it’s divine! Although it’s sweet, it’s definitely a grown-up scent – yet it doesn’t have any strange powdery or bitter notes that pop up and detract after the initial spray. The drydown is pretty consistent too. On me, it smells similar to Tom Ford’s Noir Pour Femme, except it lacks the masculine tobacco notes in the drydown which is why I prefer this one. It smells delicious and expensive!

  42. :

    5 out of 5

I feel as if this scent will be difficult for some to love. It’s rather heavy, and clinging (almost cloying, but not quite).
The scent doesn’t develop much over time. It does change a bit upon drydown, and is a bit softer. But it’s always sweet and powerful. It almost crosses the line of being sickly sweet, but lingers there.
I often wear this all day, but I can see how it would be more of an evening scent.
I get sweet, vanilla orchid. A bit reminiscent of a strong, mature marshmallow, honestly. But, it’s good (too me). The orchid keeps it interesting.
I don’t get any strong patchouli. I do pick up on some woods and amber.
In a few words, strong, seductive, sweet, creamy.

  43. :

    4 out of 5

Midnight Flower is an elegant evening perfume. I love the design of the bottle and proudly display it in my bedroom. If you’re a floral frag fan, this is right up your alley. Midnight Fleur has a top note of jasmine which is very strong but does not have that weird Alien (Thierry Mugler) opening. It’s decidedly feminine, floral, enchanting and romantic. I visualize a romantic evening between a couple, a man and a woman. She is wearing a midnight blue gown and diamond necklace and earrings. He’s in a great suit and smells of leather and tobacco while she smells of this. The jasmine is the star of this perfume but it’s co-starring patchouli. In fact the patchouli is the masculine aspect of this perfume so it makes me think the jasmine and patchouli are making love. Patchouli gives it a green earthiness, mystery, sexual allure and smokiness but it never turns into serious incense. The orchid floral note is also noticeable, but I get the feeling it’s a fantasy orchid chemically produced to smell like an orchid. It’s very nice though, a tad sweet. The woods ambergris and amber give it a bit of magic at the end. It’s woodsy and mysterious. This fragrance reminds me of frags like Dior’s Midnight Poison and Chopard’s Enchanted. I’d also very much like to know whether or not the ambergris is real because ambergris made out of whale secretions is not commonly used in perfumery anymore just like civet is no longer used due to the IFRA International Fragrance Association rules which prohibit testing on animals. Ambergris is very expensive and this fragrance is not the ambergris of such expensive fragrances like the ones by Creed. But it is very expensive smelling and absolutely gorgeous. I get a lot of compliments on it. Beautiful jasmine and patchouli perfume.

Deep, dark, delicious, and sexy. This scent really works with my chemistry. A blind buy based on reviews that I’m very happy with. Intense, passionate, but comforting. Perfect for chilly weather and cozying up with the man you love. Just beautiful.

I was expecting a little more from this after really enjoying Nest’s Dahlia & Vines and after the SA at Sephora told me this was their most popular Nest fragrance. It smells nice, but it smells nice the way a candle does or a sophisticated home fragrance. Considering that’s what these Nest fragrances were born out of, that shouldn’t be surprising, but it was still a disappointment. I’d rather spray it around me than spray it on my skin.

  48. :

    5 out of 5

This perfume was a little bit of a disappointment.
I was so excited to try this fragrance because of all of the glowing reviews I was reading. It sounded right up my alley. So perhaps that’s why I was disappointed, I expected something different. It is a nice, interesting fragrance. I can understand why people love it. However, it’s just too much scent for me. It’s a little overwhelming and a little too complex. I could picture myself wearing this, but certainly not every day or even every date night.

  49. :

Too sweet, too heavy and very nighty… Don’t try in summer, and only if you can stand vanilla and orchid flower together… Return for me!!!!

A dark, writhing, sexual forest with an undercurrent of amber and overgrowths of strange otherworldly florals. This Nest frag really manages to be very mysterious and unique. I have to say that it earns a really hard-to-get spot on my little like list.

Brooding, sensual, the deepest of deep and aloof yet enveloping in its warmth. An enigma, a paradox and a spell. I do believe this fragrance is only for the brave.

  53. :

Midnight Fleur is a dark, moody little thing. I can’t really pinpoint any of the notes as a standout, but the name is very fitting. It’s damp, deep purple flowers in the dead of night. Very bewitching!
Gotta add that I’m impressed at the versatility of the three Nest fragrances I got to try rather affordably thanks to the little Sephora rollerball set. Not sure yet if this is my fave of the three, or my least. It’s intriguing, that’s for sure!

  54. :

    4 out of 5

I love this. Though there are no fruits listed as notes, I get a little bit of apple. The vanilla orchid is present, but tasteful, and it has a little spicy to it as well. Probably from the amber. I prefer this as a sensual night scent. Very sexy. It lasts a long time too.

  55. :

    3 out of 5

The opening is wet floral. It smells like a bouquet left out in the rain, a bit damp and the petals a bit crushed releasing a light fragrance. It is not overpowering and it is easy to wear in any weather.
I purchased this piece in a miniature 7.5 ml bottle that came in a coffrett along with her sisters for an incredibly reasonable price that was too good to pass up. I had success with NEST fragrances but only their home scents so I was very curious what the personal use offerings could contain. The splash bottle is very beautiful with a dark background and the blue flowers. My only complaint is the silage is just not there for me. It does not project well even with adding anchoring elements like body oil to “ground” the fragrance to me.
That being said there is no way this could ever be overpowering even in an elevator so I personally think this a very safe fragrance for an office environment. After the flowers dry out the patchouli that is left is light and carefree.

This beauty was a really pleasant surprise to my nose. From the initial introduction we fell in love. A botanical rainforest, dewy raindrops on semi-sweet flowers with an earthy twist. Beautiful, fresh, feminine yet not at all girly. Perfect for fall days and not at all offensive. Definitely hanging on to this one.

  57. :

    3 out of 5

From this scent, the opening notes project images of a wet garden. You get the floral notes, you REALLY smell the vanilla orchid, not nearly so much in the jasmine but you also get the smell of roots and of moist leaves. The patchouli then sweeps through and it fades, after a few hours, and you’re left with mellow amber that sits on the skin.

  58. :

    3 out of 5

A very mysterious floral on me; smells like the magical flowers you might expect in an enchanted forest, with the darker woodsy scents of the dry down. on me, it’s delightful, and lasts reasonably well.

  59. :

Love the bottle, first of all. Who doesn’t want to smell like midnight: mysterious and sensual. The top notes were a very pleasant warm floral. After a few short minutes, the floral changed into a dark, beachy, type scent. By beachy, I mean an earthy, sweet, almost coconutty vibe. On me, it must have mixed with my chemistry so well that I literally couldn’t smell it on me after 30 minutes. I don’t want to say I was bored, but I wasn’t able to enjoy it long so, meh. I quite honestly prefer Nest Indigo on me.

Well. I’ll be damned if this beauty doesn’t smell just like its bottle looks. 🙂 “Enchanted forest at night” comes to mind. First spritz somehow contains the same sweet syrupy orange blast that Angel does, for me, but that (fortunately) exits almost immediately.
The next act pleases for hours… The orchid is dewy, floral and vanillic all at once, and with the patchouli and woods gives the impression that the scent is “alive”. I can feel wet leaves and moonlight reflecting off of them, a carpet of green beneath my feet, a comfortably warm, balmy breeze.
There is a sense of the tropics, without the usual mango or coconut or pikake. This is the deep, dark rain forest tropics… fairy tale edition. 🙂
The black amber, present all along, really shines in the dry-down… though I hesitate to even call this a dry-down, as most of the composition stays loud and proud throught the whole experience, which, for me, lasts hours and hours and hours.
    Just absolutely gorgeous, and transporting.

I love this scent. When I first tried it, I thought t was too synthetic. I put it away and then tried again. I am so glad I did. This fragrance is becoming one of my favorites. I smell coconut in it, even though it is not in the notes. Both the sillage and longevity are amazing. It is sweet. I usually like a bit more masculine scent. On my chemistry, this fragrance just works. I can’t stop smelling myself. Happiness in a bottle.

I am in love with this scent! I received a sample of this scent free with a purchase back in the summer, and I’m so very glad that I did. As others have stated, I get the jammy black currant, along with fabulously warm spices with delicious woods in the background. The spiciness is not of the gourmand variety, but rather the sort of spice present in the fragrance of an Oriental lily. It has one of the best dry downs I’ve ever experienced. Sillage and longevity are equally perfect. I will most definitely be buying a full bottle of this.

Maybe the jammy blackcurrant, berry-like notes only come out for some? I’d not have recognized it so quickly for the similarity had I not been testing scents with blackcurrant accords all year but on me it’s unmistakable. Ditto for the resinous wood. Smells a bit like Mariage Freres Marco Polo Tea tastes with a splash of vanilla and milk, warm and in front of the fireplace on a frosty night.
Update March 2015 – the dampness and humidity of spring rains make this much more potent and sweet.

I completely understand Staciecrew’s review of this fragrance as containing something fruity and boozy. The first time I tried it, I largely got an ambery vanilla, but today, this fragrance opened on my skin like a pina colada with cinnamon, and the tropical fruit impression remained for several hours. I’m not sure how I feel about it! I think I’ll have to try it again at some point to see what happens.
Great longevity and sillage! A warm and pleasant fragrance with an intriguing collection of notes.

very warm soft vanilla/amber on my skin….almost too sweet. this is one I will be giving to my little sister, as sweet scents are different on her than they are on me.

I had too many points at sephora and used some for a miniature bottle of this. The fragrance notes appealed to me and the box was lovely. But I’m going to have to test this again because on me it smells nothing like it does on other reviewers here.
When I decided to wear it I had no recollection of its fragrance notes. On first application it smelled dry and woody (the patchouli & woods, I guess), which I liked, but it was so very faint that I forgot I was wearing it. Many many hours later I raised my arm near my nose and noticed a floral and sweet scent, although not particularly jasmine (the amber & lily, I assume). I am a fan of heavy white florals like jasmine and tuberose, as well as dry woody scents like patchouli (when it isn’t overdone) & vetiver, so I was more than a bit disappointed with my first wearing.
I have a tiny sample bottle of Passiflora which I like a great deal. It, too, is light but very refreshing and green. I’ll give Midnight Fleur another chance to show me it is more than merely a very subtle and unimpressive fragrance.

Vanilla and amber, not very floral at all on me. The jasmine hides in the background, barely noticeable. Syrupy, synthetic at first but dry-down is a little more powdery natural. Still, though, I get a marshmallow note that I don’t like very much. I don’t smell any spices on myself as others do, but I wish I did. Definitely lasts long but the sillage is not huge. It seems to be Nest’s flagship scent, but with my chemistry it doesn’t smell all that special.

To my nose, this is blackberry jam, gin, and amber. Very strange combination. My nose is almost too confused to decide if it appreciates this juice. It is simultaneously resinous, sweet, tart, peppery, and green. Ironically, the notes listed are not present on my skin. I DO detect an animalic skanky smokiness here, and I am curious to see how this will be received by my hubby. I suspect this will be a dream during winter. There is something biting about this scent, and I have a feeling that I will love it on an equally icy and biting winter evening.
