One of my daughters gave me a bottle of Metro Black a few years ago and…well, it’s got youthful, generic, department store vibe going on, for sure. However, I find it to be quite wearable and actually like it. Moreover, I will cherish my bottle of Metro Black, along all the bottles of Brut and others, simply because my daughters gave them to me.
Metro Black is a youthful woody-spicy fragrance, with perhaps a whisper of a coffee accord, that is probably best suited for a Fall evening. But it is versatile and I find that I can wear it to the office when paired with business casual. Performance could be better in that this fragrance lasts around 4-hours on my skin and sit softly after the first 30-minutes.
It’s a like from me because it’s decent inexpensively priced cologne. However, it will occupy a special place on my shelves since it’s from my daughters. Cheers.

On the first spray it has a coffee note and reminds me of TM Angel Men. The coffee and other notes fade very quickly leaving a very strong musk smell. I was disappointed to lose the coffee. Not terrible, but it went from the initial WOW to just ok

The only guys cologn at Rue that hasn’t grown on me yet. It’s missing a note on here. It has Orange, Musk, Fresh Cut Grass, and Coffee Beans. I think the citrus and grass work well together, but when the musky coffee hits, it all goes downhill. I don’t really enjoy it, but alot of guys aged 14-17 come into the store and buy it. If you like citrusy musky smells, this is deffinately your fragrance.

I bought this to help a friend with her fragrance sales at Rue21 because it was the best offering out of all their male scents. What I enjoyed about it was that it was a more mature smell without being old. I received many compliments from girls on it, and one told me it was her favorite scent when we were getting close after a date. It’s perfect for a young guy looking to stand out from the deluge of Hollister and AXE mimics out there, and I’m considering picking up another bottle because I prefer the smell to most of the insanely expensive offerings from houses like Hermes.

reminds me of Azzaro Onyx. Not as strong. With less sandalwood if any. Maybe not as sweet smelling either.

This one, oh boy this one is a piece of work. It’s named Metro, and that’s exactly what I imagine, A rainy fall day, taking the subway wearing a leather jacket. I like it.

I may sound a bit crazy, but I like to mix this with BBWs Black Amethyst…helps out the lasting power of the Metro Black and helps offset some of the sweeter notes of the Black Amethyst. It also smells pretty good on its own.

Nice and grownup one from teenager everyday clothing company. At first, it was very subtle scent with a punch of pepper and cedar. I am surprised they are not listed as the notes. I don’t get citrus but maybe some coffee essence. The scent overall is dry and incensey woody, but very subtle. I think I like this one the best out of all of their fragrances.
