I have a fair sized library of fragrances. Today I reached for Yachtman Breeze as my fragrance of the day.
As the previous poster mentioned it does have a hamster bedding smell. It has a little bit of cedar and maybe some pines and some of the green chlorophyll type notes. I also smell a bit of the Oakmoss notes common to Drakkar and Caesars man. In all fairness cedar and chlorophyll are natural deodorants and its not a bad smell even with a little bit of hamser bed vibe to it.
Breeze is a good name for this cologne because that’s when I reach for it. I live in an area of the country that has windy days and there isn’t a cologne in the world that is going to last long in constant 30 mph winds with 60 mph gusts. I could wear the finest Creed and Id only get 3 hours or less from it on a day like today.
Breeze is a bit weak so I put on a full 10 sprays and it doesn’t last long so I will add a 5 spray boost 3 more times during the day for a grand total of 25 sprays to get me through the day. On a warm gusty day like today with blowing wind and grit, Id have to use a few booster sprays even if I was wearing a longevity beast like Angel Man.
Sillage isn’t very good but its enough that I can smell it on me for a couple of hours till the wind blows it off but its not going to project enough for compliments.
This cologne is similar to Caesars Man and Drakkar Noir. Id rate Caesars Man as the best buy and Drakkar Noir as the overall top cologne. Still, this has a place during Breezy days where the wind blasts the cologne off you.
Id rather use 25 sprays of a 3.4 oz $8 cologne than 20 sprays of 3.4 oz $65 cologne like Drakkar.
On a day like today, the winds going to blow the cologne off you about as fast as you can put it on and Yachtman Breeze makes more sense to me than Drakkar Noir, Caesars Man, or especially something high end such as Dior or Creed.
On a Breezy day you are going to need extra sprays no matter what you wear and Yachtman Breeze makes as much sense as any of them.
Pricewise you can get this for $8 on Amazon and that’s about what I paid awhile back. Its hard to quibble with an $8 price tag but this is a weak cologne and you will need extra sprays. Caesars man is a better cologne and better value even though it costs 3X as much.
    My Grades would Include
    Scent 68 out of 100 or D+.
    Sillage 71 out of 100 or C-.
    Price / Value 80 of 100 or B-.
Compliment Factor 50 out of 100 or F.
    Longevity 50 out of 100 or F.
Overall grade 65 out of 100 or D.
    …………
    Final thoughts
In the Drakkar Noir, Caesars Man, and Yachtman Breeze genre of Oakmoss, Woodsy, Smoky toned scents this is my least favorite of the 3. It smells nice enough but is weak and short lived. Still its hard to complain when a bottle is $8 and the same size bottle of Drakkar retails for $60.
Breeze is a good choice for a windy day when the wind competes with your fragrance and blasts it off you almost as fast as you can put it on. Its a nice cologne to have on those days you are going to need 15 sprays of reapplication. Even if you had the finest Creed it would take you 20 sprays to stay fresh through the day if you lived in this area of the country; and Id much rather spray 25 sprays of an $8 bottle like Breeze than 20 sprays from a $700 bottle of Creed.
Overall, its an ok scent and a decent value but Caesars Man is a far better cologne and better value except on days when the wind blows your cologne off as fast as you can put it on. Breeze then is a good choice for those windy days. It smells good, covers up a bit of the foul smells of life, and is affordable on days you need frequent refresh applications and booster sprays.
I would not repurchase this product when Caesars man is close to its price. Have a nice day.

I’m a huge fan of the Yacht collection, but as far as this cologne goes i am very disappointed. Breeze opens very strong. Longevity is pretty bad. Fades away after the first few minutes which is great because no one wants to smell like hamster bedding. Dislike this fragrance.
