Beautiful, super feminine powdery rose. I think this is better than Lancome Tresor. Volare is softer, less sweet and more elegant. To me Tresor is too sweet, almost cloying. I would never wear Tresor.
I like the softness of Volare. If I ever need a romantic rose perfume, I will consider Volare.

90% old Tresor, even with the same longevity. Very quality, one of the best Oriflame product ever. Not the same opinnion about the new version with rose shape bottle.

    (Partner arrives)-honey i’m ho-what the,how is that I m smelling my grandma?
    – is it this? My new perfume.
Well his grandma is dead, but she must have been wearing a perfume with similar notes as Volare oriflame. Truly he did seem to like it. But now i understand why the new generation hates it. Well to be honest, I’ m 25 and not considering myself old, but i do find Volare fantastic. It’s a nice cheap escape in the cray cray world of gourmand perfumes when you don’t want to wear watery aquatics.
I do not regret the purchase at all, yeah i get it, it’s neither sexy nor flirty, but perfume is not just about that, it’s beautiful, romantic and soft. There is something in this juice that makes me want to smell it all the time!
I do get whiffs of it during the day as i move around, it stands out for the first four hours and then it stays close to the skin. Staying power is moderate, maybe you have to renew it. I see the resemblanse with Tresor Lancome, but it’s no dupe, come on, they just have some similarities, they are not identical! I might buy that tresor and layer them together!
A daytime perfume and I would happily recommend it to all ages, but oh well, I see the young ones don’t like it at all.
Stays true to its pyramid and develops accordingly. Opening is apricoty and peachy but not sweet, thank God, but not sour either. Lilac, violet and iris pop up until strong rose takes over and you have a rosy peachy scent. A hint of amber, a lot of musk and some sandalwood. On me sandalwood becomes prominent on the second hour of wear, without losing the rest of the notes.
I really like it, i will be wearing it after Christmas. Mostly in spring.

@deedee I don t really know if there is an old Volare like the one you describe it. The first one was in a circular bottle with a big plastic cap, like a mushroom, and the second was like the one pictured, both with the same juice, unchanged. The last bottle (like pictured here) is disappeared from everywhere and the quality of the scent was really good. The nowadays formula, rose shaped, is totaly different, mostly in the dry down, more chemical. Yes, is a Tresor poor twin and I see nothing wrong in it. A good and safe choice for the rose and peach lovers, but only THIS version, the new one is a disaster indeed.

one of the best from oriflame, I mean the first old edition, discontinued now. Why so many haters? There are so many girls and women that can t afford a Lancome, what is so wrong in this nice, well blended copy? It is not a fake, after all…
It s a nice, sensitive and romantic scent and it is bad that they discontinued it. A good, quality perfume is a thing that every woman should afford! And men, sure.

the very very old Volare was in bottle shaped similarly to Coty Láimant. I remember if from childhood. Smelled lovely. I never tried the newer versions but Spellbound by Estee Lauder is perfectly matching with my memory of the old one. There was an ebay auction for that old bottle and i missed it. I cant even find a picture online of the old version, nevermind purchase it…:(

I really don’t think it is sweet or fruity at all it is a deep scent a nice mature scent years ago when I bought it I didn’t liked it because it was so strong for me and a few days ago I went to sephora smelld the tresor by Lancôme perfume and it smelld so familiar almost exactly like volare so I started to reuse it again and I really love it ,too bad it got discontinued in my country because they replaced it whit the new volare so I ordered it again really curious how it will smell if I will like it ,I will definitely check back to review it

Male Review: Powdery dry-down with strong hints of peach and musk. Nice for any season I think due to the sweet Amber notes and powdery violet/iris notes. The rose notes make it a bit more of a feminine scent. So I will give it to my mom. But I like to smell it as it is very calming.

It’s a very nice scent, but I can’t stand the powder note, is so much intense … is cloying my nose!
    Bye bye volare ooooh

I love this powdery scent. I used to buy this very often a few years ago. Smelled so nice on my skin and very long lasting. It is so romantic… 🙂

this one is quite strange, sometimes I like it, sometimes I don’t.If I’m tired or it’s hot I don’t dare even look at it because it gives me nausea. but on some cold days this perfume gets comforting and romantic as it smells like an old books library.

Pretty watered down Tresor, but a good cheaper dupe if you love the iconic perfume hit from the nineties. I had Tresor back then, as I recieved a miniature as part of a Christmas gift. Strong honey smell.I can cope with the originial, but unfortunately I feel that Volare, as it is way sweeter & powderier, is dated. My association goes to elderly ladies at an office.

peachy, a bit musky, quite common daily scent. And where is the iris I was hoping for??? No lasting power.

  17. :

This one is very fruity on me, just apricot/peach and really nothing else. I usually adore iris, but sadly I can´t find any in this perfume. I guess it´s a nice perfume, if you like fruit. I find it booring! Good thing I got it for free.

  18. :

I liked it very much it is both floral and fruity. It is cheap because it is not long lasting on skin or clothes.

Volare is “love” or “hate” perfume. And I’m the second one here. It smells so bitter that I cannot like it in any way. As I look at the notes I can see why. I don’t like many of them.
Volare smells kinda spicy and very bitter to me. Not my type of a fragrance at all.

  20. :

    5 out of 5

Opens up a bit spicy, some of you think this one reminds of Tresor – well just a very small similarity to me.. maybe 10-20% alike Tresor.Volare lacks the depth and richness that is Tresors signature. Volare to me is light and airy, a bit spicy flowers-parfum. This one is for young women to wear at office or casual. A scent that stays close to the person who wears it. Volare is … nice, but gone in 1 hour.

since i tried the body cream, the scent is flowery and very feminim. i hope 4 the perfume also

Oh boy, this is one of those “love it or hate it”. And I`d be the second one.. It`s sooooo bitter sweet. I honestly cannot imagine wearing it to anywhere else that to burial (I didn`t mean to offend anyone). It is just so serious and it just so surreal (in negative way) with my chemistry. It`s definitely interesting but not for me.

  25. :

    4 out of 5

Hate it.. Cheap copy of Tresor.. !! Just hate it. The scent dissolves too quickly and leaves the wearer naked in cheap components… Pitty

  26. :

Well made reproduction of Lancome Tresor.
Iris, sandalwood, violet and musk dominant, the peach and apricot give a slightly fruity taste to the bittersweet, earthy, dry, powdery essence. Tresor has more complexity, more fruity, somehow fresher, lively than Volare.
Volare gives a dusty, old-school,sultry feeling.

I got this perfume from my mother, in the beginning i smeeled it in the afternoon and i can’t say i really liked it but now in the night time i do like it, seems like volare could even inspire me sometimes, i can feel iris dominated, so let’s call it night-time perfume, but i wouldn’t wear it every day

  28. :

It is like an old parfume, like my grandma’s. I’m nearly sure that this fragrance is made for elder ladies.

I just purchased the miniature of Volare, and after wearing it for a couple of days, I can say that is 80% like Tresor. It is definitely long lasting as it is a perfume de toilette , but it leaves a more fruity sense, while Tresor is creamier and woodsier on me.
On the other hand, I have lately discovered that perfumes are TOTALLY different on us depending on our location. For example in Greece where i live, i cannot bring myself to wear it at the moment, it is 35′ C.
It is too overpowering for me, but then again people complimented me on my way home…I am confused, but finally, I think older women (like 50+) may like it better.

    its very romantic
    and comforts me
it was the first one i bought from oriflame

It’s a lovely perfume that one could wear pleasantly all year round.
Lasts long and leaves a sweet feeling on the skin.
    BUT
As others already pointed it is exactly like Tresor of Lancome.

    ACTUAL NOTES (FROM ORIFLAME’S SITE):
    Rose / Lilac / Iris / Violet / Peach / Apricot / Sandalwood / Amber / Musk

This smell like baby powder, cotton candy, vanilla and violets. Extremely sweet and powdery it’s perfect for a girl under 15 years. When i smell this i feel like i’m a little girl in a pink dress, eating a cotton candy in a park, in a summer day.

This one definitely smells like flowers, I hardly detected any hint or musk. It smells like body powder women used in the past. The picture in this site is the old version of Volare, it was re-released in early 2010.
For me it’s just too strong and overpowering, as I expected something fresh and aquatic. I just bought the body powder for the very low price at the discount.

First thought when i smell it is vitamine coctail (you know like vitamine in powder to dissolve in water and drink :). Very floral and fresh but warm in the same time. For every day ocassions, office, meetings. not for old ladies, good for cheerfull feminie woman in her thirties. Brings to me a picture of sunny nice day.
