Description

In collaboration with MAVIVE, the house Replay launches the new fragrant duo REPLAY STONE inspired by one of famous techniques of jeans washing – stone washing. Due to their balanced mixture of textile, water and stone, stone washing makes each pair of jeans unique. Flacon shape of new fragrances Replay Stone is inspired by the typical pumice stone, known for planar facets and arrays of light. These effects are closely connected with Replay’s textile production and washing techniques, as well as the direction of the brand towards innovation and continuous research with an aim to create and stylize the best product.

The new fragrant duo REPLAY STONE is addressed at population age 18 to 30, famous for their charisma and charm. The edition for men was announced as oriental-spicy while the women’s version is characterized by its oriental-floral composition. REPLAY STONE FOR HIM opens with a union of lemon, elemi, black pepper and nutmeg, followed by styrax, cinnamon and cloves in the heart. The base comprises cedar, labdanum, benzoin, amber and musk.

Bottles of Replay Stone are made of glass with numerous facets, while the neck of the bottle features a pendant with engraved letter R. Flacon of the men’s edition is matt gray, while women’s flacon is colored in amethyst purple.
Stone For Him was launched in 2015. The nose behind this fragrance is Luca Maffei.

    Some perfumes can be dissected within a couple of paragraphs.
    Some others are just hard to explain within several pages.
    Stone for Him should not be a complex fragrance. It has not been released by a high end designer with a tradition in “old school” scents. The notes are quite common and their arrangement seems to be a logic one bearing in mind that the target customers are under 25 of age.
    Having said that, I inform you that I have more than the double of the Replay target market age, and, judging by his comment in the statement below, so does Elysium.
    I love this fragrance (… and so does Elysium).
    It’s a bit synthetic. It has some metalic harsh accords and it’s not really the type of fragrance that I usualy like and wear. Nevertheless I love it, and most certainly I will buy another bottle when I finish the current one. Probably it’s the sequence of a strong elemi resin top note, followed by a powerful sweet cinnamon, and “finished” by an ethereal musky accord of labdanum, amber and benzoin, that defeated my helpless logic nose. The fragrance has a magnific sweet and balsamic evolution, from head to bottom, and its resulting effect is just very very nice as far as I am concerned.
    Performance in my skin is above average.
    How do I rate my Stone?
    – Scent opening – 8.0 (“I am here!” type of opening; People will notice you!)
    – Scent Dry Down – 8.0 (very good balsamic sweet drydown; People will notice you!)
    – Longevity – 8.0 ( >8 hours, 2 initial sprays)
    – Sillage – 8.0 (sillage peak up to 6 feet, projection for 1.5+ hours)
    – Versatility – 8.0 (Avoid hot days; This is a Winter/Fall/Spring fragrance and very good at it)
    – Usability – 8.0 (very good for almost all social situations; very good for clubbing; don’t use it in places where you may sweat like the gymn or by the seaside)
    – Compliments – 8.0 (it will be a nice compliment grabber, but not everybody likes this type of balsamic scent)
    – Uniqueness – 8.0 (some similarities with some new upscale fragrances like Pure XS and 212 VIP Black and older Joop Homme and its flankers; I love all of them)
    – Quality – 6.0 (yes it’s a non natural, synthetic perfume; low price, expensive bottle and an alluring juice has its down effect on quality; I just can’t help to love this juice)
    – Presentation – 9.0 (a 10 for creativity and an 8 for not being so easy to stand it, gives me an average of 9)
    – Price – 10.0 (€14,00 for 100 ml non tester in ShowroomPrivé)
    Average: 8.09/10.00
    less than 5 = avoid it;
    between 5 and 6 = under average;
    between 6 and 7 = average;
    between 7 and 8 = above average;
    between 8 and 9 = recomended;
    bigger than 9 = don’t miss it;
    Opinion on “Stone for Him”: Love it or hate it polarising type of scent! Other people may have the same reaction!
    Blind buy worthy? No, it’s better you try it before you buy it!

    This is all about cloves with amber. It’s sweet but not overly sweet. Very spicy cloves (almost incense-y), well balanced amber, mild musk, intensive black peper, strong elemi resin, strong nutmeg, mild labdanum and faint cinnamon/styrax/cedar.
    Sillage/projection are good moderate, I’m still evaluating the longevity.
    If you love cloves give it a try.

    a bit darkened and a little bit more wearable version of joop! homme. still synthetic and syrupy enough.
    it’s not as long lasting as (prereformulated) joop!, but it’s not bad also, i can still smell traces of it after 5 hours.
    i’d buy it, it’s fun.

    This smells very similar to the Cadillac fragrance from 2008.

    This actually started out quite good,
    wow i was thinking finally a good one
    from Replay, but no i was wrong 15 minutes
    later the only thing i could smell was some
    pepper and synthetic cinnamon not very
    special at all.
