I’m not typically a huge fan of aquatics, but I’ve been interested in getting a couple more modern ones lately. I figured this sounded evocative of a an island, so I ordered a bottle. Unfortunately, it wasn’t my cup of tea.
The top blast is very harsh, and I can see the hairspray comparisons. Fortunately, that doesn’t last too long though. It starts to develop into a sharp floral fragrance which reminds me of some scented dolls I remember from 20ish years ago (Cabbage Patch Kids, maybe?). I suppose that’s the mimosa note. It’s pretty linear and stays like that throughout its duration, though it becomes softer, more pleasant, and musky (as in a clean white musk). I don’t think it’s particularly salty. I do kind of get the coconut note, but it’s not as forward as the main notes made me think it would be.
Longevity is actually excellent, lasting well over 10 hours. Although it’s more of a casual floral scent than an aquatic, so that’s not too surprising. Projects strongly (too strongly) for a couple of hours, but tones down afterwards. Becomes a skin scent after 6 hours or so.
I’ll probably just be using my bottle to resell or trade.

I picked this up on a whim at B&BW on sale for $4…YES! $4!!!! So, anyway, it’s a nice, non-offensive office friendly female-leaning scent, with surprisingly decent longevity and projection, but the scent itself is where I feel this may have been a poor investment. No kidding, it smells exactly like my mother’s hairspray. It’s not that it’s an awful scent or reminds me of a traumatic experience, but I have absolutely no desire to walk around (for the time it lasts) smelling like a bottle of Tresemme. Period.

Do yourself and your wallet a favor. If you do decide to buy this do not, I repeat do not pay the retail price of $45. I bought this,Mandarin Oak and Citrus Vetiver for less than that from eBay. I will say that this is long lasting. Easily over 6 hours with great sillage. Not 12 foot sillage but better than expected LOL! It is on the playful side as it is salty and sweet. Borderline feminine but acceptable for the right guy to wear. I don’t detect any of the spicy notes as this scent is all about mimosa, salt and coconut. It smells very realistic and of high quality. This can easily be someone’s Summer scent or even signature for someone who lives in a tropical climate.

I’m always on the lookout for a summertime beach fragrance, and lo and behold it was right in my linen closet. I had bought a selection of handwash and shower gel at a reduced price from BABW, and among my choices was C.O.Bigelow Sea Salt and Mimosa handwash. Gorgeous bottle for my guest room bath, and Wow, what a beautiful fragrance! Searched online and found there was an eau de toilette available. so I’m now wearing my Summer 2018 fragrance!! Its projection is around 12 feet, and longevity on me is 12 hours and counting. Fun to find something this delightful at an awesomely affordable price! btw, I love all the notes and find this quite feminine…

Freesia-watery floral with sweet mimosa notes and salt. I loved the salt feeling so I bought it, but after applying more than just a dab, it’s not really mything. It dries down quickly to a vague hairspray scent without complexity or beauty. There’s also a very pronounced and loud sandalwood note that comes out in the dry down that ruined it completely for me, as I’m not a fan of sandalwood at all. I gave this away fast.

The fragrance is aptly named and the accords are exactly as stated: powdery, floral, aquatic.
The powder and aquatic notes share the stage with a lighter floral backing. It’s very clean and fresh, with good projection and longevity.
Although this fragrance is listed as unisex, in my opinion, it does lean slightly feminine but not feminine enough to where a man would feel uncomfortable wearing it.
It should make for a great summer fragrance and I hope it gets the kind of positive responses that the previous reviewer is getting.

Wonderful scent. You can almost close your eyes and feel as if you’re at the beach on a breezy afternoon. I simply adore this fragrance. Many many many compliments when wearing it. But what surprised me the most is the longevity coupled with the projection! I get complimented all day. I would safely say you get around 6-8 hours of positive projection and subtle after. A must buy for any beach goer!
