Great blind buy. To my nose, Samba Platinum Man firstly smells moderately sweet, somewhat like delicate leather, sharp in a good way, a bit powdery but not bothersome, and a tiny bit soapy at the bottom with the slightest hint of, hmmm, cinnamon or some kind of spicy bark..or fine wood. Smells nothing like I’ve ever smelled before. It’s quite linear but has enough complexity to not make it boring. It’s not offensive to my nose. I’ve had to get rid of fragrances that had great reviews but offended my nose so I gave them away. This one is a keeper even if it is weak and short-lasting. A woman could pull it off easily. To my nose, it lacks any “masculine” traits and steers more towards an oriental spicy in the base mixed with barely detectable fruits in the middle. Out of the 70+ bottles I’ve owned at one time, this one stands alone as a great, short-lived, daring fragrance for a secure man looking for variety in his scentventure. Alright, God bless you and happy sniffing!
