This is an extremely sexy scent. Buy it for your husband, not your brother! The first time I smelled it was in a magazine advertisement. I almost licked the page before I realized what I was about to do and stopped myself. This stuff is lust in a bottle.

This is the original Aventus. Forget about Lomani and Glenn Perri and all the rest. This came out the year before I graduated High School and will forever remain in my collection. The drydown is a synthetic but wonderful blend of pineapples, light spices and light woods. It is not a loud fragranc but the silage is good for at least 4 hours. I did some cleaning today and revisited this gem! It’s still available at reasonable prices via Ebay and I suggest that you jump on it!

This brings back precious memories, Christmas Eve of 1998 to be exact. This was when I was 5 and I still remember it like it was yesterday when I get near this scent.
It’s a short story where my older brother was the only one in the family missing and I was sad that I thought he wouldn’t make it to family Christmas. I wake up in the morning, Christmas Eve, and to my surprise it was my older brother. I was so happy that he made it and that he smelled so good!
After 16 years later, in 2014, I finally complete the search quest and got a hold of this holy juice(IMO). I am happier than ever.

Avatar by Coty is a very refreshing and clean citrus scent that blasts off with a sour, pungent aggressiveness of bergamot and pineapple that together in this blending gives off a very sweet, somewhat synthetic high-pitched blast of energy that makes for a good wake up call on a spring, summer or early fall morning before heading to the gym. The citrus is a nice jolt of sharpness on the senses and makes Avatar a very solid option for the more active man on the go who prefers to use fragrances more as an after-shower freshness enhancer rather than to project power, sophistication or attractiveness. The pineapple and bergamot dominate the first 30-45 minutes of wear before the soft woodsy elements assert themselves and give Avatar a more freshly cut wood feel that blends well with the citrus accords. This one can be had at extremely affordable prices but isn’t as common place in the last three years as Coty has expanded its emphasis on pushing celebrity scents at your local chain drugstore retailer. What separates this one from its aquatic, citrus aromatic influences of Ck One or Azzaro Chrome is Avatar’s minimalist essence. This is pure citrus and woods presented without any filter or combination of notes that blocks that fresh directness it exudes. If you respond well to freshly cut pineapple, this will be a very enjoyable wear for you. Longevity is quite solid at 5-9 hours depending on climate and skin chemistry and number of sprays. Projection is subtle to the wearer but rather strong to those who come within 3-4 feet. Smells like a newly built wooden cabin on a pineapple plantation in Hawaii. Reliable, extremely fresh and rare enough to be original. Good.

I Love This Cologne. I Have Purchased It For Family, Friend’s & My Boyfriend. It Is Harder To Find In 2013 Though.
Few Have Heard Of This Scent, But It Is Definitely Worth Trying.
I Have Sprayed It On Myself Because It Smell’s So Good. I Am A Woman, But Love The Crisp, Sporty, Masculine Smell Of This Cologne.

On My BF I Get More Woodsy Notes Mixed With Bergamot & Hint’s Of Pineapple.

Jr. High- I was one awkward, adolescent, poorly fashioned boy. But damnit I smelled nice.

Bought it at local drugstore today. It’s on sale for less than $10. It’s simple and sporty, a bit citrusy and there’s a synthetic sweet note, that is mostly ressembles pineapple. No doubt ,it’s fresh, but not aquatic,it’s a bit soapy and somehow reminds me Fred Haymans Indigo.Nice scent, but frankly,it smells cheap.
I don’t think I could wear it at work or meetings.Gym,walk, smoky night bar after hours-YES.

I love Avatar. It had a defining sweet pineapple and citrus top note and is very sporty and fresh. It’s definitely one of my favorites and is excellent for the price.

My understanding is Avatar was originally Universo, rebottled. I wore Universo in highschool and I still love this stuff. Fresh and intense, strong pineapple very similar to Joop Nightflight but overall more aromatic with a hint of Cool Water (M) in there. Definitely 90’s; heady, cool spicy, very masculine and lasts through my next shower.

First, dab sampling: It smells natural enough, but I didn’t like the opening. The drydown was better but I’m not sure if it’s for me. In a sense this reminds me of some of the 273 Hayman men’s fragrances in that they are simple and the notes don’t necessarily seem to work all that well together. Though not listed there seems to be a mild soapy fougere accord. I am looking forward to giving it a regular wearing to see if my opinion changes.

This, to me, is an Abercrombie & Fitch Fierce clone.
But for some reason it does not irritate me like A&F’s scent. I was approached by a lady at a bar/club while wearing this, I’m giving Avatar the credit!
I feel as though this is a GREAT unknown scent that only a few are in on the secret!
If you’re reading this then go out and buy it! Don’t overthink it…………just get it!

I wondered when the movie came out if this would be re-issued in a blue stiped bottle with yellow eyes peering out (and maybe a fiber-optic tail on the rear of the bottle)…
But seriously folks, this was released just prior to the ‘transparent’ wave of fragrances in the late 90s/early 00’s and I always thought it was quite nice. A bright, simple clean scent made of pineapple (leaves), dry herbal corriander, citric bergamot and ‘clear’ woods. The biting fresh citrus and aromatic leaves calm to an airy herbal note that continues to mellow until it finishes with a light woody feel. Simple, elegant, clean and different from anything else (at that price) from that time. This will not offend, nor will it make a real statement or break any sales records, but it is nice for something clean, manly and inconspicuous. There is something a little sour and sort of soapy in this I cannot put my finger on…hmmmm
    Sillage: decent
    Longevity: pretty good
    Overall: 3/5
Coty continues to produce this, so someone must be buying it. I got a 50 ml spray in an after-Christmas clearance section for under 10.00 and for what it is, that’s a pretty good deal…
