This is sweet and spicy. Vanilla is definitely the main note, but its not sweet like you might think. Its spicy vanilla. Perfect for winter/fall day and night. Last long: around 7 hours or more. I blind bought it, and am happy with my purchase.

Layton is more powdery and richer than this, but it is a very good clone. If you want to buy less product for a lower overall cost, go with RE.

This romantic, masculine gourmand smells a lot like the sweet apple of Boss Bottled added to the the spices of Carven Homme along with the light powdery aura of Dior Homme. Performance is very good with 1 spray projecting over 4 hours and easily being detected after 8 hrs. I have not smelled PdM Layton which gave RE its inspiration, but this fragrance does smell very nice although not totally original. Fans of Ultra Male, Bentley Intense sweetness should easily appreciate this offering as well.

I bought this blind as I’m pretty new to the niche scene. All I can say is “Wow!” If this is close to what Layton smells like, Layton must smell incredible x2 because this just smells so incredibly fucking good!

Damn this is pretty close to Layton! Easily 90-95% similar. I love them both and believe it or not…when I wear them both side by side after about 10-15 min it’s very hard to tell the difference! The opening on RE is basically the drydown of Layton! RE on me is mostly linear the whole time. Projection and longevity on me anyway is 6-8 easy. I could still smell it the next morning. It actually lasted a little longer than Layton on me but not by much! Both amazing fragrances! I am a niche head…quality over quantity for me so I was skeptical about RE as it is a clone of Layton, but I gotta say it’s a damn good one!

Alexandria always nails the PdM Fragrances they go after. This is an almost exact dupe of Layton, which I love. This is a great fragrance for the office as it isn’t overpowering or too spicy, just a nice bit of citrus, lavender, and apple notes.

This to me is better than the original. I have tried Layton a several times and it gave me a headache, because to my nose it was way to spicy. The house of Alexandria is pretty good in making Dupes of niche perfumes and also vintage formulations of Fragrances (Sweet Suede is the best clone of CH Men!) and they also are very fast with shipping (6 days to Europe). So as a clone of Layton I have to give Royal Equisterian at least 99% and since I like it more than the original, I have to give it a rating with 9.5/10. Keep your good work up Hany
