Description

“Classical chypre, full of fresh, foresty notes, driven by furry animalic character, with a touch of florals and an unmistakable piney, Russian feel.

Being our most popular composition, Siberian Musk sold out in a brief couple of months, quickly rising in the ranks to a modern classic. Today, we are thrilled to share with you Russian Musk, the newest version of the aforementioned formula. This time, we used even higher quality ingredients and added a few choice elements.
Crisp, bright, lively top notes of juicy citruses and foresty nuances take one to the virgin land of Siberia, Russia. Fir conveys an airy, uplifting sensation; bergamot adds a crisp freshness; lime boosts the aroma with its juicy soul; mandarin delivers a touch of playful sweetness; and pine ushers in that unmistakeable Russian signature to the opening.
With time, the composition smoothly flows into the heart notes. Here, one faces a delightful fusion of the precious hydro and steam distilled neroli (orange blossom). Not many are aware of the fact that neroli varies significantly, depending on the origin. In order to present a complete and full, three-dimensional view of this beautiful flower, neroli from four different countries has been combined. This precious floral bouquet graciously spreads itself out upon the fine blanket of Indian sandalwood, sweetened by tonka bean, and spiced up with rich nutmeg absolute, clove and cinnamon.
The base of this composition is propelled by fossil amber resin obtained through destructive distillation. Resinous, warm and slightly smoky, it provides the perfect platform for additional base notes. Oakmoss absolute adds to the foresty feel, and tree moss resinoid completely seals this realistic impression. Fine galbanum resinoid delivers a shiny green touch, enhancing the floral notes and connecting them with the deep sylvan base.
The depth is achieved with pure agarwood oil from Sri Lanka, Cambodia, Burma and Thailand, co-distilled by Russian Adam himself. Essential oil of patchouli from Bengal, along with its rare, green absolute hailing from Indonesia, bring the herbal, earthy essence to the base. It is further supported by green Indian vetiver, cooling fresh cypress and its rare blue absolute.
The entire structure of this solid base is sweetened by a fine rose absolute extracted by Russian Adam. Deer musk is noticeable throughout the complete life cycle of this composition but is never overwhelming. It gently whispers furry and slightly animalic accords, complimenting and intensifying all surrounding notes.
Russian Musk is a tribute to the classical chypre style of perfumery, composed by Russian Adam with care and love, using some of his own rare distillations and precious extracts. It will suit one who truly loves traditional perfumery and wild, vintage compositions.” – a note from the brand.

Russian Musk was launched in 2017.

The call of the wild in a bottle 🙂
Packed with the vitality of the wilderness yet never overpowering this extrait de parfum showcases wonderfully natural, fullbodied, real deer musk masterfully blended with a variety of fresh, green and terpenic conifers, rooty and earthy woods and moss, uplifting citruses and subtle spices.
This beautifully balanced and nuanced, long lasting chypre is a true work of perfumery art, very expensive but worth every penny.

It’s a musky scent .. I noticed it interacts with my natural body smell in a way if you cuddle with an animal after that you can smell that animal and your own odour on yourself.
Is it good.. yes. Citrus at the top and musk all around. Not offensive to others but not all will really enjoy it much given how much it costs as well. I bought a decant , used for 2 days and giving it a way (reselling).
No blind buy .. give sample a try first !
    Overall it’s good nonetheless!

The price tag is similar to Roja Parfum (Homme) and the quality is equal to them as well I think. Really WILD feeling ! It may be not suitable for daily wearing but definitely worth a try. I feel like I am an adorable Siberian deer! Strong smoke woody feeling + Wild Musk — A little bit sweet balanced Wood + Musk — Musk Only

It begins with strong blasts of fir, pine, and citrus. The musk is present throughout from beginning to end and maybe overclouds some of the other ingredients. I didn’t detect any sandalwood or rose, there are slight hints of oud in the base which are probably only detectable to the wearer due to the heavy presence of musk. There is a lot going on and it will keep you intrigued every time you wear it.
I think this is very versatile if applied correctly; I made the mistake of applying four sprays before getting into my car and almost choked. Just two sprays are enough to keep you going throughout the day. The price-tag is a heavy one but this is a work of art made only with the finest ingredients that justify it.

An Oriental citrus spice in the tradition of the likes of Himalaya but don’t go in expecting a musk bomb. The musk is there hidden amongst all the citrus, woods and spices. Constructed as a modern chypre, the perfume begins with notes of fir, pine and citrus before moving to a woody spicy heart of cinnamon, tonka bean, sandalwood, nutmeg and cloves before settling into a mossy musky base comprised of oakmoss, musk, amber, patchouli, and galbanum. There are many many more notes here that can hardly be detected like cypress, mandarin and Oud. A bit of a crowd pleaser, there is something in this for everyone. A nice East West fusion perfume with high quality ingredients but unfortunately for a real musk lover like me, it comes across as a bit overstuffed with notes to completely underwhelm the musk it is named after. But this unisex perfume is nicely blended, has good projection and sillage, and projects very well. Enjoy!

    Metallic citrus.
It’s a slight aquatic yet metallic blend with doses of fir and citrus. It has pine, sandlawood, and citrus cocktail with orange blossom, oakmoss, and cypress. Some roses are there but i couldn’t detect no amber, no cinnamon, no oud, & no vetiver. The nutmeg, cloves, and olibanum appears after around 30 minutes in.
There is something addictive about this blend that makes me want to sniff my arm over and over although it’s metallic, and i believe it’s the type of musk used in here.
This blend is quite addictive, and i don’t know wither it’s impressive or there is something that makes me addicted to it unconsciously!

This is truly a masterpiece, unlike any other I have smelled.
It is a very wearable fragrance for all occasions. I did a blind but on this one without hesitation and am extremely happy with my purchase. If you can afford it, they are pricey, it is well worth adding to your collection.

Really nice and wearable. Opens with a citrus blast of lemon, bergamot and tangerine combined with fir and pine. Imagine sucking on a citrus candy in a deep forest. After a while the orange blossom and tonka bean sweeten things up, while nutmeg cinnamon and clove add some spiciness. A furry, chocolaty musk weaves in and out the whole time and then settles in the dry down together with oakmoss and vetiver. In the 3 full wearings I had so far, I did not detect much or any of the 4 different ouds that were used (unfortunately, since I’m a sucker for real oud). Looking forward for future wearings and getting to know RM even better. One of my best blind buys to date.
