I like the smell of neroli in this. It has a sweet summer smell just right for this time of year. It is nice for bedtime since it’s a relaxing scent of a summer day . I found it lasted a long time on me, I could smell it the next day. It’s not a trendy scent but more of a scent you might have around and only wear in spring and summer. It falls into the same category as the Green Tea fragrances but it’s richer. It’s not a light breeze really . It has like a plant smell, botanical might be the word.

Nice and office friendly, nothing special.

I am not surprised there is not a lot more loves than likes and that is probably because most people who overspray, will obviously find this scent pungent.
    Only give yourself two spritz.

Smells fresh and expensive. I like it, but it does not inspire me to write a longer review.

A perfect summerscent indeed. Lime Linden blossom is in my opinion better then Citrus-notes in summertime/hot weather. Fresh, elegant and a bit flirty. A new favourite.
En perfetk sommardoft. Lindblom är, tycker jag, en bättre doftnot än rena citrusnoter sommartid/ varmt väder. Fräsch, elegant, sprudlande och lite flirtig. En ny favorit

very fresh and elegant…forgive me for my apt statement: it smells very expensive

Quite fresh indeed. Still, this is not the scent, I would love to spray on the sheets. I have tried better ones, than this one. It’s floral and cirtusy, but the cirtuses smell a little cheap in this one. At least after a few hours. (When I smelled this one from the bottle, it was fine, but after some time it changed).
I guess, I can’t consider it very good.

    PREMISE:
This is a very beautiful scent even though the original White Linen has nothing to do with this incarnation.
    MY REVIEW:
It’s quite long lasting for its being a sort of eau fraiche, for its being a summer scent.
This is certainly good news, enough with those cologne lasting the time of the liquid drying on your skin.
I love the citrus opening, very merry in my opinion, very lively, not much original perhaps, but very nicely accomplished as you would expect from Estée Lauder.
Soon it develops in a path of flowers, not very complex (none of Pure White Linen’s business, though; its aim is another) but refreshingly beautiful.
It is a wonderful scent that I adore not only in summer but even now, early autumn.
    A THOUGHT:
I find Pure White Linen very similar to Eau de Givenchy, the much underrated Eau de Givenchy. If you smell PWL and EdG wrist to wrist you will see that the differences between the two are very tiny.
I had a smile thinking of the reviews that Luca Turin wrote for PWL and EdG: the first awarded with a flattering note and four stars, the latter with a mere two star evaluation and a not so nice review.
I love them both and do not find EdG so mean.
    CONCLUSION:
Do not rely on others’ authoritative (or supposed so) final words, TRUST YOUR NOSE!!!

Love this fragrance. It’s like a breath of fresh air on a spring day. I love the burst of citrus & then the honey smell comes out with a light floral, then teak comes out. It’s light and airy and perfect for a first time perfume buyers because this scent is a no brainer. A good safe purchase for anyone.
Revision: now I know what this smell like. It smells “Peace, Love & Daisies” from Bath & Body Works. It is a splash & doesn’t stick around for long, but I love to put it on after a shower or right before I go to bed. It only cost $14.00.

I have all 3 of these Pure white Linen and the flankers (Coral and Light Breeze) and I just don’t know which one I love the most. Well not exactly true -the Coral is my least fav of a great trio, but still I would take that one over many other different brands.
Of the Pure white and Light Breeze – they both are in my top 20 favs that I own. Love them. Fresh, clean good quality ingredients. These particular scents get compliments from people around me. They are not harsh or try to be attention seeking perfumes, but still have good sillage and longevity. Yes, beautiful for Spring and Summer, but of course you can wear these anytime. The lighter fresh perfumes CAN be worn in winter, but conversely, heavy amber gourmands and the like, are more difficult to wear in the summer.
    Beautiful scents!

This reminds me of Pinning up my white cotton sheets up on the clothesline and letting them dry in the gentle summer breeze, then taking them inside and putting them on my bed and laying on them and taking in the fresh, clean, crisp, airy scent and just wanting to lay on them and nap!! 🙂

I have been looking for the perfect fresh summer morning scent and finally have found all the right things in this scent. It’s incredibly fresh, weightless, transparent, airy, unobtrusive, subtle scent. Adore the citrus fresh opening, which turns into a soft flower smell. It also beautifully smells like tea, one of not many truly beautiful tea scents. It makes me feel like caught in a gentle summer breeze on the seaside in Italy. Also I have noticed that my mood lifts noticeably after I put it on in the morning, which is a wonderful sign. Pure White Linen includes Darjeeling tea, bergamot, orange zest, grapefruit, watery kumquat, freesia, osmanthus, linden, rose, teak wood, cedar, soft skin accord and acacia honey. It’s a great scent, however I dislike very bad staying power, which is often the case with fresh scents. I also love the pretty clean bottle, I find its minimalistic design very appealing. Wouldn’t repurchase because of the quality.

With the perfumes, the surprise bottle was this one.
It can’t get soapier, but it’s so clean and fresh, like waking up in the countryside a sunday morning.
My score:8/10 just for the soapiness

It’s not really fresh like flowers, it’s fresh like fabric softener, and that’s ok. Lots of people like the smell of fabric softener.
It’s airy, it’s casual. If I try I can detect the osmanthus and linden blossom, but I don’t particularly get any citrus. I do get a good amount of wood in the dry down.
Since I’m not a big fan of fresh scents, this one isn’t for me, but I can see many people enjoying it.

Just got this yesterday. The first hour or so there is a disturbingly strong note of honey (or something else that is quite sickly sweet & sticky) but then that goes away and it’s just clean and fresh. Much like your white linens, drying out in the breeze 🙂
I don’t know why, but this very much brings to mind Clinique Happy Heart. The scent is not the same and the notes are nowhere near each other, but the style seems very much alike. Fresh, but with a sweetish sicklyish tone in there somewhere.

Initially, I thought this was yet another fragrance similar to the original White Linen. But no, it is not.
This opens up citrusy and slightly synthetic, which gave me a mild headache. The citrus notes are dominant in this scent but slowly I could smell the whiffs of tea, lime blossom, osmanthus, honey (it’s faint here but keeps the scent “rounded” like honey water) and cedar. Actually, if you smelt this carefully you should be able to pick out all the notes.
The only similarity I can find this with the original white linen is probably some undisclosed synthetic note that I find across all Estee Lauder’s fragrances. Maybe it’s a touch of the aldehydes but I can’t be certain.
In all, I think this fragrance has all the notes that I find agreeable – citruses, tea, honey, a touch of woodiness. I like it, but perhaps would not invest in a bottle because of the synthetic note that made me queasy and the fact that my no. 1 citrusy tea fragrance is L’Occitane’s The Vert.

Pure White Linen Light Breeze is the perfect scent for hot Summer days. It’s the scent equivalent to a chilled glass of sparkling, fizzy soda water.
Estee Lauder seems to have a knack for summery scents. They are all incredibly pleasant and easy to wear. Pure White Linen Light Breeze is no exception. Thankfully there is quite a difference between this flanker and the original White Linen.
It’s quite a crisp and fresh scent, with a huge emphasis on green citrus. Fortunately, this is a citrus scent I can wear, as the grapefruit note is less sharp and sour than it is in other fragrance compositions.
If a bottle ever happened to fall into my hands, I would wear it every now and then, but I doubt that I would ever buy myself a bottle. It’s a nice fragrance, but sometimes ‘nice’ is just not enough. I tend to grow tired of smelling it over a short period of time.
Pure White Linen Light Breeze is most appealing when applied after a morning shower or when used as a ‘pick me up’ after a long, strenuous day. I also wouldn’t shy from wearing this fragrance to the gym or to the beach.
Inoffensive, delicate and refreshing are three words that sum up Pure White Linen Light Breeze. I believe that it is fairly well-received, if not a big seller during the Summer months. The longevity is fairly impressive and the sillage is moderate.

Have a hard choice between this, Versace Versense and green choice Chanel. Finally selected this one and just love it!!!

  21. :

This is a strange perfume. At first it’s overpowering and synthetically fresh, like air freshener. Then when it tones and mellows down into a light woody base with the osmanthus and freesia. The honey helps keep it light. Longevity is good, sillage is mild. Would not purchase, it simply is not worth the price tag. I can spray myself with febreeze if I want to smell like that.

I love this for warm weather. It’s a beautiful composition of green citrus that dries down to a deep and warming green tea. It makes me happy and goes perfectly with a sundress and sandals. I also wear it to work in warmer months on casual Fridays. Sillage and lasting power are decent.

I always use this after swimming exercise. So fresh, remind me of sour young green mango. The opening scent quite similar to Acqua di Gio, but the dry down more soft. I like it..

Soapy and clean smell, perfect for summer. I have got it as a present and I enjoyed it a lot. It’s not my cup of tea as I tend to prefer floral and woody fragnances, however it is a fresh and vivid scent that will make you feel comfortable. Very good lasting power !

I received this scent for mother’s day & I really love it. It’s light, bright & fresh but not screechy or harsh. It’s very refreshing when first sprayed & I really like the woody/mimosa/honey longer term dry down. It’s great for summer! I’ll be taking this on holiday with me.
It’s really not like the other scents in the pure white linen line at all, I love this & don’t like those.

You gotta love this scent! I would say it’s more for the mature ladies 20 and older. It’s not something i’d spray on a teenager. It’s definitely fresh with a hint of maturity. I detect a powdery undertone to this.

The opening is citrusy but light and pleasing…flowery note comes silently but it is there, blending nicely with the citrus. I recommended this perfume to my friends. They bought it, and thanked me for that!

This is BBW’s White Citrus with some guts. I mean, the staying power is a lot better but it smells A LOT like White Citrus. I am LOVING this, but need to get my hands on a bottle maybe come Summer.

  34. :

I can’t really describe this scent. But for me it is very fresh & clean, light & breeze, dry down a bit woody but still fresh. So refreshing too! Perfect for summer.

  35. :

    4 out of 5

I wonder if there is a category of citrus florals. Because this is certainly one.
Does anyone remember Elizabeth Arden’s Green Tea? I think it’s still around. Anyway, this is reminiscent of that scent. It has that manufactured for perfumery ‘green tea accord.’ Real green tea, diverse as it is, does not smell like the green tea of perfumes and candles. This isn’t bad, there’s just a difference.
Anyway, PWLLB is a very fresh, clean, happy, and breezy scent, as others have stated. It opens very brightly citrusy, and then just citrusy, and stays there for awhile. The drydown is floral on me.
I would not call this ‘sexy’ by any means, but it is a very happy scent for me. You could wear it anywhere for any daytime occasion. It has good longevity, lasting an upwards of 8 hours before it’s done.

  36. :

    3 out of 5

For me it is a woody – aromatic scent. Citruses are vety strong at the beginning, but after a few seconds I can’t feel them. Light Breeze turns into fresh, woody fragrance.
I wear the original Pure White Linen and I must admit that it is the best compering to the rest of its collection:)

  37. :

Very refreshing but thought that it was almost too simple until I smelled it on my clothes, really lovely. I could not stop sniffing my shirt.
I love to wear it in summer when it is uplifting in its freshness. Summer Love!

  38. :

    4 out of 5

It opens really fresh, citrusy, clean and comfortable.
It’s wonderful for an hour, but then it starts to get a metallic note and it starts to remind me of a perfume that I couldn’t hate more: Etat Libre d’Orange Sécretions Magnifiques. Yes.
It’s not exactly the same but they must share some notes I can’t stand.

  39. :

    4 out of 5

I like this fresh, citrusy scent even though it’s not terribly unique. It’s sort of like a cross between Dior Addict 2 and Versace Versense. Surprisingly long lasting – no easy feat for a citrus based scent.

  40. :

    5 out of 5

I have no idea why PURE WHITE LINEN LIGHT BREEZE is not just called PURE LIGHT BREEZE, since it bears zero resemblance to WHITE LINEN, a great perfume in my book.
PWLLB is an unexceptional fruity floral fragrance whose most distinctive note appears to my nose to be kumquat, which imparts a squishy texture similar to lychee, or so it seems! This is a friendly and likeable fruitiness, especially as it settles into a smooth drydown along with the honey. PWLLB is a perfectly fine fruity floral fragrance, if that is your kind of thing. Nothing offensive nor avant garde, just a pleasant scent.
If someone gave me a bottle, I would probably wear it now and then, but I don’t feel the urge to invest in this one myself. PURE WHITE LINEN LIGHT BREEZE leaves me somewhat apathetic, just like the picture of Gwyneth Paltrow used to promote so many Estee Lauder perfumes, for reasons that continue to elude me.

first time i sprayed it onto my skin, i hate the smell but after few hours the smell turned so dang good.

  42. :

it’s really fresh at the begining but then it gets musky on my skin…and i don’t like that… it lasts about 4 hours on me..

Light and refreshing. I particularly enjoyed the juicy citrus opening and the fresh-floral heart (I love freesia and osmanthus).
I’m not seeing a relationship to Cool Water Wave, but that may be because all the CW flankers smell alike to me, and I don’t like any of them.
It is an EDT and as such has very light staying power – about 3 hours, which is about what you might expect from that perfume strength. This may be the only Estee Lauder fragrance that I like, but I won’t be buying it since I already own Kenzo’s ’93 Parfum d’Ete, which is similar but more complex and slightly longer-lasting.

  44. :

Realy clean and fresh, not tipically citrus, rather like fresh flowers. Long lasting, gives me an impression of summer wind on the beach(maybe it is sugesstion of shell on the bottle and the name?). Like mild nature of my mom:)

Definately a great summer perfume or one to just freshen up with.

  48. :

The top notes were very fresh and nice, so I was off to a good start with this one. Unfortunately, shortly after it faded away and I was left with a old fashioned, nothing extraordinary, floral. The fruit were so subtle I couldn’t feel them. On top of all, it’s very short lasting, so I wouldn’t recommend buying it.

  49. :

It smells like summer! Nicer and more refined than Cool Water Wave – but it has a certain soapy factor though. It is also not aquatic like the aforementioned C.W.W. is. I liked it! Summertime…
