PLEASE NOTE; This review is for J.S. Magnetic Power ‘original’ that comes in the black bottle with red JS initials, which is not on the Fragrantica website (please add it admin!).
I had tried this EDT several times, each time I was trying to figure out where I had smelled something similar before I assumed it was kind of cloning something as was the ‘Navy Blue’ edition.
Recently I was in a store and decided to spray l’Homme Ideal EDT by Guerlain, ‘that’s it’ I thought, ‘this is what the JS black & red is trying to do!’
I went to the supermarket and bought a 100ml bottle for under 7 Euros. I have yet to test it fully but this stuff is really rather nice (as is the Guerlain in my opinion), it’s a ‘safe’ scent that is simply hard to dislike.
It’s a little sweet but not cloying, a little spicy but not too much, kind of aromatic and warming yet thas a bit of freshness to it. I get a cola like vibe too. A great buy, I really like this, a good job by Jeanne Arthes once again, another great impact resistant bottle with magnetic cap as in the full name of the series ‘JS Magnetic Power.’

Nice, cheap summer/sports scent. Reminiscent of Polo Sport but I would say it’s like a more simplified less appealing version. It’s still decent though and begins with a cool refreshing lemon/mint blast with a hint of lavender, the dry down is very musky but a certain coolness remains due to the underlying opening notes which have now taken a backseat.
The bottle is really great to hold (photos don’t do it justice), the magnetic cap is perfect here and the quality puts a lot of top designer brands to shame!
It’s kind of a shame that the juice inside is just ok and not a reflection of the bottle but for the price this was a great purchase, I’d probably buy again and will look out for other products from this house in the future. I may go for the the red & black JS Magnetic Power (not listed on Fragrantica) which is a more spicy/fresh affair.

UPDATE 21/06/2018 ; I’ve worn this a few more times in warm weather and for physio/fitness training and it actually lasts longer than I previously noted, I got 6+ hours so I’m really pleased with this. The sprayer is good but gives small soft bursts so I go with a couple more. The scent isn’t an absolute favourite but it’s pleasant enough in a sporty way without being too sharp or too sweet, good clean smelling stuff.
