Description

Prada Candy Gloss comes out in the spring of 2017 as the fifth fragrance of the playful gourmand collection Prada Candy. The focus is on the sour – sweet cherry flavor in the top of the composition, toned down with orange blossom in the heart, after which the gourmand base of almond, vanilla and musk emerges. The fragrance is created by Daniela (Roche) Andrier.

It is available as a 30, 50 and 100 ml Eau de Toilette.

I did detect that synthetic sweet cherry smell that reminded me of lipstick but I actually love this perfume! Not quite gourmandish on my skin but there is something about the way the cherry, almond, vanilla and musk notes are composed together that smell more sophisticated and the floral notes faintly present. Projection not that great and the longevity sucks for me as it only stayed on my skin no more than an hour. I don’t necessarily think this is for a younger female but both my daughter and I use it and it smells sweeter on her than on me.
I read that this was compared to Poison Girl and I feel PG is stronger of the two.

Got this for my Sep. scentbox.
Mehhhh. I wish I had chosen something else now. Not because I hate it, I don’t. Might say I like it well enough, but I don’t see reaching for it often. I can’t decide what time of year, or occasion I might wear this for.
Points for the bottle. DO like.
I chose this because I love perfumes that mimic the scent of cosmetics, and I don’t have anything cherry in my collection. True to name, this is like smelling cherry lip gloss. In that sense, it’s pretty straightforward. Just a tad too synthetic, and overwhelming to my nose.
Projection was good for the first couple hours, then it really settled down close. It didn’t vanish however, and I could pick up traces at the end of the day.
I will use up this travel size, in time. Won’t likely be a FB purchase.

This is slowly turning into a favorite, such a playful and delicious yet intriguing scent.
Love the mix of sweet and sour candy gourmand and powdery makeup, I can’t stop sniffing my wrist❤

My experience with Candy Gloss is nearly identical to the reviewer’s below. The notes sound terrific and they should have it in the bag with this one. But I wonder if Prada could be losing some of their magic touch. They’ve never been known for strong fragrances, but they used to be multilayered, full bodied and an experience to be had. My favorites were from the original Infusions line. They weren’t the longest lasting, but didn’t leave anything to be desired. I wish I could say the same for this or any of their newer offerings..
I had a few large samples of this. Upon first spray I knew I liked the scent a lot. But why does such a lovely, satisfying fragrance have to be so fleeting? My samples were drained in no time which means a bottle would be too.
After 20 mins this lovely scent was beginning to leave me. This is not a bad perfume, no way! It’s just the kind of cherry almond combo I like. Playful would be how I’d describe it. I love the scent but maybe not enough to overlook its sadly short stay. It has no real longevity which has me feeling torn.

I absolutely LOVED this scent the second I smelled the sample I had received from Sephora but unfortunately it only lasted about 20 mins on me! Tried several times with the sample..Same thing happened with my Black Opium sample so I guess it is just my skin..I now look for perfume scents and read reviews that say strong sillage and lasting power is 6+ hours or over..Otherwise it isnt worth my money if it will only last a few minutes on me.. I was broken hearted that neither one of those scents lasted on me!!

Personally I find this to be the strongest and longest lasting of the Candy line, having owned them all.
Right from the initial spray, all the way through its development, I get that incredible cherry and almond combo – and boy does it pack a punch!
A lot of you are saying the cherry note smells synthetic and I can kinda agree, though to my nose it sits somewhere in the middle of synthetic and realistic. I’m not going to pretend to be able to pick out every note, however, I find Gloss to be incredibly well blended and pieced together.
I don’t think this fragrance is for the totally serious person, more for the young at heart.
My second favourite after the titular Candy 🙂

Purchased a sample size vial of this fragrance, I havent tried the orginal yet so I cant compare the two. This one initally smells quite nice and pleasant, definatly very youthful but not childish. Its a deep cherry scent that if oversprayed is very noticeable and overpowering. I could see how this perfume would be headache inducing as the sour cherry note is quite synthetic and strong. Its still a nice frangrance in moderation and had decent sillage – longevity was 4 hours max. Wouldnt wear everyday nor would I re-purchase but happy to have tried it.

unfortunately, this is pretty synthetic to me. the cherry-almond-vanilla accord is dominant but it smells way too plastic. not for me.

  10. :

    5 out of 5

I unexpectedly love this – it’s very youthful, but not immature. Definitely agree that it’s a scent for a young woman letting go and enjoying herself. The cherry note is realistic and refreshing rather than cloying and sugary (although it does definitely have a waxiness that contributes to a chapstick-y note with the rose over time). The vanilla and almond at the base remind me of Kenzo Amour, which was one of the first ‘proper’ scents I ever bought as a teen and is wonderfully nostalgic for me, and I think they both have the same overall quality as a great choice for a teen finding her identity in scent or a carefree adult woman alike. I like both this and Poison Girl but I’m not sure I think they’re particularly similar – PG is very assertively a citrus and I get a lot more distinct florals from it, whereas this is all about the cherry-vanilla-almond and a vague rose that blends into the lipstick note with the cherries.
Plus I think Poison Girl is much more ‘gourmand’ in the sense that it genuinely smells edible – I think this, despite its fruitiness, smells much more cosmetic than edible.

Not for everyone, but absolutely for me. The sour cherry note is strong, to say the least.

  12. :

A vaguely sweaty sour kick at the beginning that wasn’t unpleasant. Dried down in seconds into powdery cherry chapstick. I like it way more than I thought I would–easy wearing.

  13. :

Cherry and peach dominate for sure. I went through my bottle very quickly as it is very light and easy to wear. I got my bottle for Xmas from my husband and now in July I’m already finishing up my bottle. I also got poison girl and lovestruck, the 2 I wanted more than anything. Well now poison girl is only almost half gone and lovestruck has a dent in it! Maybe I was going easier on my 2 favorites but I sure was able to enjoy my candy gloss more regularly. It’s an easy going year round anytime perfume. Lovestruck is more for daytime in warmer seasons and poison girl is more for nighttime in cooler seasons. Maybe that’s why the candy gloss went so quickly. Wish I’d gone easier on it! Lol. Anyways it definitely worth buying.

Prada Candy Gloss was a recent purchase as I saw it for sale and liked it when I tested it. The bottle is so cute, it is a beautiful color and that alone makes it very tempting! I like cherries in fragrances so that sold it for me. But there is a bit of a gripe I have and that is the potency of the almond note. I don’t know why lately so many scents that have all the notes I love have almond thrown in the mix which I think is unnecessary with Candy Gloss. Its the same issue I have with Valentino’s Donna – a great fragrance with an annoying amount of almond that just overwhelms the other notes. Same thing with Gloss. If I could remove the almond it would be a real winner. But I am glad to have it in my collection.

  15. :

    5 out of 5

I so wanted to love this, but it actually nauseates me due to the intense cherry top note mixing with the almond. I thought it would smell similar to the original Jergen’s body lotion that I like, but interestingly enough, there is a ‘glossy’ slipperiness to this that makes me gag. I guess I just don’t like cherry in such an intensive presentation because I have the same gag reflex with Escada Cherries in the Air, though that one is more tolerable to me. Sure would like to smell this on someone who likes/loves it, but doubtful that I ever will since Prada fragrances are not worn much where I live.

  16. :

This is my favorite from the Candy line and just wanted to add this is powdery due to the heliotrope on me.
The cherry is the most dominant note with the heliotrope and benzoin on my skin. The almond is only detectable in the dry down when the cherry note is more like just sweetness. It’s fun, light-hearted, definitely has a lipstick vibe. The opening somewhat reminds me of LA Petit Robe Noir (they share some notes so no surprise) but without the licorice note of course and the powder is much softer in this. Sillage could be better its soft on me with 6 sprays. Will update longevity after a few wears. I’d say if you like the notes it’s a safe blind buy but keep in mind longevity can differ a lot based on climate/humidity/skin chemistry so for that reason I’d recommend testing first, some people complained about poor longevity.

I discovered this scent and bought it today! I love it! I’ve been looking for a new gourmand to wear, something feminine and sweet and new. I noticed many scents out there tend to remind me of perfumes I’ve either owned before or smelled on other people…. but this one was unique for me, other than of course resembling the original, only on the ending dry down. It’s funny because I hate the original, although I always wanted to like it, cute bottle, amazing notes, but it just smelled bad on me… must be why it took me so long to discover this awesomeness.
Bright, sweet, tart, very “pink” creamy smelling opening… slowly dries down to a sweeter more caramel and cream fruity middle and hours later I get the warm caramel ending from the original which I’m such will stick to my skin for hours like the original. I’ve been wearing this scent on a hot day and it suits the weather! Without ever being cloying. I’ve been searching for a gout and with lots of presence and sweetness without being too heavy or spicy or redundant and I’ve found it in this.
Ps. It doesn’t smell like chap stick to me… much nicer than that.

  19. :

    4 out of 5

Smells like an expensive cherry chap stick with amaretto. Like a conservative youthful lady wearing a white t shirt while sipping amaretto in an airy bar. This scent is young! Playful, fruity. Very very girly. Can’t say I like it very much for me though, a tad too girly.
    And this does not last!!!

I tested a ton of fragrances the other day and when i initially sprayed this one i thought it was nice but nothing special. A few hours later i was sitting next to someone and thought it was her who smelt so divine but she wasn’t wearing any fragrance and i figured out it was this! I couldn’t help it. I had to have it. So I’ve been wearing it for a few days now and for me this has been a great scent when I’m sitting around tons of people in meetings and auditoriums as it’s inoffensive and not super strong however i always spray my clothes and my hair because i do like to smell it myself. It does have a sweet cherry chapstick smell to me but minus the wax – which to me makes sense with the gloss name – definitely can pick up the gloss note but in a nice way. It also has a sweet floral-ish note to me. It reminds me of a less powdery/fruitier MMM lipstick on (which I’m determined to love haha). Anyway i think this is worth a sniff if you like the concept behind it. It’s a great flanker and the bottle is beautiful!
EDIT: i can definitely detect some almond in the dry down which I LOVE

I get cherry chapstick. I love lipstick accords, and Candy Gloss is so pretty sprayed on paper. Candy L’eau is nice on me, but this is flat and boring on my skin. Oh, well.

  22. :

of all the Prada Candy perfumes this is my favorite one so far…
It has a sweet synthetic but pleasant scent
Kindda reminds me of a scented eraser from my childhood
The same Perfumes that triggered that childhood eraser memory were Sky di Gioia & Mon Paris , not sure what’s the connection 🙂
Does cherry really have a scent??!!! I know what it tastes like ,,,but never passed by a fruit store & went “ooohhh I smell cherries” lol
Anyways…its nice sweet but synthetic, it doesn’t resemble any natural fruit , flower or even a dessert
more on the body mist , shower gel type than a perfume
    Pretty Box & Pretty colour 🙂 8/10

I barely smell any cherry in this. But what I DO smell is almonds. Lots and lots of them. Also honey, which is not in the notes.

  24. :

    5 out of 5

A nicer one from this line. It’s as if someone made a honeyed-up version of the powdery, dime store Lutece of yesteryear, or the more recent Muse de Rochas.

  25. :

Very cherry in the beginning with a little touch of powder/lipstick scent popping in .. It’s sweet for about an hour. Then settles into being almost identical to the original down to the poor silage and longevity & overpricing . I still enjoy it from time to time even though I don’t need it because I have the original and they are so close .

  26. :

    4 out of 5

Sweet cherries, vibrant and very cheerful. However, projection is very bad, at first spray, just a blast of guava, the dry down is about the same as original candy, with a hint of cherries.
Very pleasant fruity gourmand, but for the price, it’s not worth it, too expensive for something that smells exactly like my cherry scented lip balm.

  27. :

    4 out of 5

I’m surprised by the notes, this is a guava bomb to me! Fades very quickly so I don’t think I’ll repurchase

  28. :

It reminds me just a little bit of Guerlain La Petit Robe Noire. The cherry note is very intense.
Nice scent but not special for me.

About three weeks ago I tested candy gloss for the first time, you can read my first review below and see that I wasn’t really impressed.I didn’t dislike it but I felt it smells like a cherry lollipop.nothing more or less.yet now here I am with a 2.7 oz bottle of candy gloss in my hand.when I saw it in a great sale(80mil was priced 60$!)as a loyal fan of Prada candy line I decided to order gloss and give it more time.I’m so happy with myself for such a good decision.
it’s far from a simple and linear cherry solinote.it goes through different phases and as time passes it becomes more and more pretty.I didn’t expect my idea to change so soon but right now,I can say that I’m totally in love with this beauty
When first sprayed,it smells horrible on my skin.acidic, sour and a bit dirty, like rotten sour cherries.but fortunately this stage goes away in a minute or two and is replaced by what I could smell in my first test:tart and sweet cherry lollipop.it’s fun, lively and delightful.not too much sweet for me.it makes me feel happy and reminds me of childhood days when I filled my mouth with a handful of hard candies and smashed them in my mouth before my mom arrived and caught me.this delicious, fruity stage is really lovely but it could bore me if it was the only stage, which is not.there are dramatic changes in drydown.tart and sweet cherry fruityness calms down and powdery notes show up.I can smell lots of heliotrope and almond in this stage.there’s also musk, vanilla and just a whisper of rose.Prada candy gloss’s drydown is devine.so soft, sensual and delicate.it smells so good I can’t get enough of it.I can’t call this stage fruity or teenage-like or gourmand.it’s smooth and super feminine.though cherry and almond is a trendy combo these days, candy gloss doesn’t smell like any other perfume I know.I like this new member of candy family and can name it my most favorite cherry perfume
I also love it’s bottle.all in all I like candy family’s bottle design, also pink is my favorite color.it looks so pretty near it’s sisters
Sillage is close to skin but longevity is more than what I expected.it sits softly on skin and clothes as a lovely creamy skinscent for hours.make sure to give it enough time to settle down and don’t judge it by it’s opening

I purchased this last year right when it launched, never having tried another Prada Candy fragrance. Heck! I’d never even smelled another fragrance from the Candy line. When I first put it on I couldn’t believe how sweet it was. But not sickly sweet. It was a burst of fruit on my skin. Prada Candy Gloss was my first real introduction to fruity scents and I fell in love. It is a burst of sunshine from the get-go. While there is an underlying gourmand theme to the scent it isn’t overpowering, which I am grateful for. Prada Candy Gloss is an Eau de Toilette so it makes sense why the staying power isn’t there. On me, it lasts between 3 to 4 hours from application to no longer being able to smell the dry down. My favorite part is the beginning notes. That burst of cherry is prominent and you know it is cherry from the beginning. I get a hint of vanilla with a sparkle of some citrus. While the middle or heart of the perfume is to last the longest, I don’t really smell it ever. It blends in so well with the top and base notes that the whole fragrance is harmonious without any real breaks. The dry down is very sensual in my opinion. I get vanilla alongside the musky notes, creating a depth and dimension to what could have been just a one-note fruit punch on my body. I am a fan of Prada Candy Gloss. While I believe it is probably meant for a younger woman I like to wear it when I’m doing something fun or just hanging out with friends. Because this doesn’t last long you need to consider wearing this on those occasions you won’t be out long or consider taking a bottle with you for re-application. And just FYI, the bottle is hefty.

So I kind of like this. The dry down truly is all about candy, but the opening is a bit like walking past a nail salon that projects strong nail polish remover.
It’s an odd one and not really at all what I expected. Hadn’t tried a Candy before and if the rest are this yummy, colour me impressed.
Upon respraying and reading the listed notes, I can really smell a sour cherry candy scent too. This really is rather remarkable. I genuinely dislike most sickeningly sweet scents and while this is one of those, without a doubt, I do find this magical in a way. Maybe I like sweet after all… I just purchased Poison Girl & LPRN Black Perfecto so who knows?

  32. :

Today I tried this for the first time and I really do like the scent. The drydown is pretty similar to the original candy. I only wish it projected a little more. Longevity is moderate, 6 hours later it’s a very soft skin scent.

Yesterday I tested it for the first time,so this is just about first impressions not a real review
I disliked it when first sprayed.there was something medicinal,sour-bitter in it but when I sniffed my hand after ten minutes,it had evolved to something pleasant, sour and sweet and likable.
I can’t name the notes that I can detect here.the only thing that I’m sure about is cherry.I can’t detect the grapefruit note mentioned in other reviews.for me this is definitely all about cherry.other notes don’t appear in their familiar ways.they all blend very well to create something that to my nose smells exactly like red cherry lollipops.but my husband said it smells exactly like cherry flavored labello chapsticks.it’s definitely a pleasant scent.youthful and nostalgic the same time, fun and something very satisfying for a girly girls, even grown up ones.but I’m not sure about paying +70$ for something smelling like cherry lollipops(it smells like cherry lollies without that mouth watering, hard candy feel.it’s just the smell of lollipop but in a soft, creamy way)
it has nothing to do with poison girl which is my signature..actually I don’t know anything similar to candy gloss.
I just sprayed it once so can’t really judge about it’s longevity and sillage but it didn’t look like a strong fragrance.that single spray was barely there after 3 hours and seemed to be very close to skin
Finally I might decide to buy it as I own and love candy, floral and kiss and I’d love to collect other members of family but my first choice to buy would be candy l’eau

  34. :

This opens quite bold and boozy, almost as though you spilled a fruity cocktail-coca coca combo on you during a messy night out. It soon quietens down to a softer, stickier cherry and soft powder scent which reminds me of vintage makeup. I actually really like it. The lasting power on me is quite good too. I’ve been wearing it 3 hours and it’s still going albeit close to the skin.

  35. :

A blast of tart cherry that evolves into a lovely soft make up/powdery scent .Sadly as with many Prada scents it vanishes in less then 2 hrs .
If I can find a FB for a good price I may buy it anyway 🙂 .

I bought a sample of this on ebay, and it arrived today. When I first put it on, I could definitely smell the candy. As it settled, there was a familiar smell that I couldn’t quite put my finger on. As I read through the other reviews, I realized the familiar smell: Cherry Chapstick. It lasted about 1 hour, then the smell was almost gone. I’m glad I only got a sample of this one. I won’t be purchasing anymore after this vial is finished.

This is A lot different than what I imagined or expected. I have Estee lauder’s la Rouge gloss and in my opinion that actually smells like Vaseline Cherry scented lip gloss and it’s thick and it’s waxy and I love the vinyl note . But here in Prada candy gloss it starts off with a very fruity guava pink grapefruit smell. I don’t smell cherries I smell guava at this point I feel that it’s going to be a light tart fruity Floral . I almost wrote it off at that point thinking it was too simple in too young but after 5 minutes the same thick Vaseline Lip Gloss scent comes out it starts to feel more oily and some of that tart fruit dies down and it becomes smoother thicker and more rounded. I’m really enjoying the scent it’s fun it’s flirty and it’s different from a lot of other scents that I have the only problem might be the sillage and longevity I can still smell it but I’ve only been wearing it for the past hour. I’ll edit once I know how long it last.

  38. :

    4 out of 5

Upon first sniff, I get a strong fruity ruby guava (and I know it’s not listed). It reminds me of fruit stands in Puerto Rico and the Mediterranean-delicious, sweet and earthy smelling fruits abound. It smells natural and delicious. It dries down to a gentler, tamer mix of red berries, yet it is still surprisingly natural. After than I get a clean, floral almost soapy vibe. I didn’t expect to like this but I love it and it’s so unique. Sadly the longevity is like 3 hours. Good sillage though and it would be the perfect summer scent if it lasted a bit longer. Love the bottle!

  39. :

    5 out of 5

very interesting indeed! maybe my second favorite after original candy, but they don’t even smell slightly similar and this one, despite the others, doesn’t even have caramel note. but that’s another story. I like what I smell and never been fond of caramel anyway.
So Prada Candy Gloss starts with something that I describe as a sweet fruity tea!I smelt something like strong tea note (might be cassis?) that somehow reminded me of ange ou demon le secret, but much stronger and more provocative.
As the time passes it gets powdery which might be due to heliotrope or even almond.
But talking about almond,I don’t get much almond here and even though normally almond/sour cherry perfumes doesn’t work well on my skin, this one smells amazing on me. It also doesn’t remind me of poison girl at all, not like valentina blush which shares some notes with it either. To me maybe it’s a better version of lolita sweet which I liked but couldn’t love.
The long lasting power and sillage were ok, much better than other candy series, but I should try it again to reassure about its strenght.

I love this. It is just so unique and so obviously cherry

Candy Gloss smells like the pyramid of notes, and yet not really at all. It smells so much like literal lipgloss, I’m getting flash backs of cherry glosses from back in the day from wet n’ wild. Also more powdery vanilla glosses that I wear currently. It reminds me of other lip product inspired scents I’ve tried, but this one pulls itself apart in that it’s more fruity, less powdery, and certainly no violets. It’s smooth and after a short dry down linear, undeniably glossy.
I get a very young impression from the scent. If the scent were a person to me, she’d be 19. With long brown hair, thin, wearing shorts, and snapping gum in her mouth. Walking while flipping through her phone at the mall, while her boyfriend holds her purse. Knowing she has him whipped.
While I admit this scent is not really THAT me, I’m kinda imaginative…so I play with it vicariously. Enjoy this young, slightly glamorous, kinda bratty perfume.
As far as performance goes it is kinda lacking in the department. I’m a 1-2 spray kinda girl but I can wear 5 sprays of this and not feel overwhelmed. I think this would be a great semi-casual scent for summer, for dates or going out with friends. I think the heat could be friendly with this one.

I’m obsessed. This is so not what I was expecting, but such a luscious, ripe, sparkling gourmand beauty. At first spray it was very sour, like bitter rhubarb- and has nothing in common with it’s other Candy sisters. But as the smell wears and develops, you do get that expensive vintage makeup (gloss) smell which I love!!! There is a lovely floral overtone with almond musk into the dry down- heavenly. The sour cherry lasts through and through. Sooo Fresh and lovely..(And I am obsessed with the bottle too, btw) Happy Holidays!

I got this back in Summer, another blind buy, and my first thoughts of it were Meh, another sweet soulless fragrance and I put it away in my cabinet. I discovered it again last week and it’s Winter here now and very cold and I tried it again, oh my I fell in love. It’s completely different in colder months, I can smell all the gorgeous notes in it and it’s divine and classy and projects well. The Almond, Cherry and Vanilla are the main notes I detect with a gorgeous creaminess, absolutely love it and glad I didn’t write it off.

What’s with the little gold robots ??? Strange presentation on the box, really bizarre …. I got mine is a gift set. It has an adorable mini ( without spray, it’s dab on, and it went straight to my daughter , a small body lotion which is delicious, and a bottle …
Ahhh, the top notes are indeed pink guava. Jucy, zesty guava. and that’s what sold me.
The guava however doesn’t last, and the scent turns into what resembles a newborn infant, baby powder and all, sweetness, dimples, innocence and softness too.
I am not usually attracted to powdery scents, but there is something deliciously cuddly here… it matches the gorgeous pink bottle really well, but I am still puzzled by the gold robots on the box. They could have been little Cupids, and then I would have understood .
I don’t smell cherries, the almonds are powdered with plenty of vanilla sugar.
The silage is low and the lasting power quite bad too. The scent fades into nothingness in a couple of hours.
It’s rather pricey and I would have liked to see a better lasting power,
Still , it was irrestiible to me and I had to have it.
It was most likely designed to attract a much younger demographic, but I love it !

I almost bought this online because of the reviews. Instead I went to Sephora to test it first and I was looking for a cherry almondy perfume but instead I got a guava smell
then it change to a non existent dollar store shampoo smell.
Im glad I didnt spent 100 usd in something that I could get at a dollar store sorry to those who love it but imo is not worth it I’d recommend you try it first and then is up to you to buy it or not. If this perfume catched ur attention like it did to me but unfortunately I didnt like it.
Even if I got it as a gift I dont think I would reach for this because the smell disappears. In my case I have to dig my nose in my arms to smell it after 2 hours of spraying it to me it has almost non existent silage

Notes that I read from Prada perfumes section: sorbet, sweet as acid cherry, orange blossom, fruit, musk, rose

Bottle is adorable sitting next to the other members of the Candy Family, very thoughtful and well-crafted addition to the line.
But for those who saw the Floral Fruity Gourmand label and came for another LVEB, will leave dissapointed. This is Oriental Floral like it or not, leaning heavily on the medicinal side. Gorgeous! It does not project much, but it lasts and lasts on the skin.
The opening left me wondering if I’m anosmic to the fragrance, for the first two minutes I could not sense anything. Then, the scent started unraveling into a sour cherry giving out also green and dirty notes; must be the peach, but it’s totally wearable, it’s actually interesting!
You will get an aquatic vibe, somewhere in the middle, it might be the rose, like something from J’adore jumped in Candy Gloss and now it’s underneath the dominant cherry. Amazing smell. This stuff gets more powderful as time passes and lastly it settles into the usual benzoinic Prada drydown we all love, dry, with the floral undertone and a sour cherry top, all clearly on the medicinal side.
Also, don’t fear the almond notes, they just give it a bitterness, this is not the almonds from Black Opium and Poison Girls, far from it. Also the vanilla is there a tinsy bit, to smooth things out, not to add a gourmand touch.
Very appropriate for Christmas I think. Addictive stuff. And not really a girly-girl scent, despite the color of the juice, this is for real women!

It’s divine, delicious, cherry-almond yumminess. (I am also a woman of “a certain age.”) I wish it lasted more than 60 seconds. I may have to buy it anyway, because the bottle is so darned cute. I like the solid pink bottle even better than the clear original.
12/22/17 update: after loving the spray I bought the roller ball to keep in my purse. They must have cost reduced the glass too much. It was so thin it actually broke in my purse, just from rolling around next to my other purse contents. Dumped the entire contents of a brand new roller ball into my purse. My purse smells fantastic though! Sephora refunded without raising an eyebrow.

“She’s my cherry pie” la la la- “I dont care what they say Im in love with you” situation. I hate reading bad reviews of something i love at first sight. Now the rave reviews below me said it all! Im a cherry lover (also love almond) but hated Escada’s Cherry in the Air, plastic, synthetic, i had wished it was like this one, it wasnt! Also the new Fantasy in Bloom by Britney, awesome, but not so much cherry. I sprayed Candy Gloss on me, quick stop at Ulta on a hot Saturday evening. I said “Now THATS CHERRY!”. The bottle’s color is so well done, suits the “gloss” lipstick theme. Almond,Cherry,Benzoin,Orange blossom and Musk = that’s heaven to me. Ok Prada came up with something playful & fun to appeal to the young at heart, the sexy & crazy, the forever teenagers. Its youthful but Prada quality is there. I smelled ALOT of fragrances at once and this one I sprayed again and again on me. SO different from what the high end designers offer. Might smell young but does have depth and development. For the first one hour its so flirty and sweet, and then it mellows down. I sprayed it on me at 6pm, its now 6am the next morning and I can still smell it. Im quite a fan of the Florale
