Please anyone can tell me about perfume.com i was in for a brief visit to USA and not aware of any shop or any authentic site for perfume purchase, unluckily i ordered RL Supreme Leather $90 and YSL La Nuit De L’Homme $80, now i am banging my head why…? Because when i wear both of these they faded away within 30 minutes, can anyone tell me about the authenticity of perfume.com and what to do now?

Polo Supreme Leather is a gourmand leather. The fragrance opens up with a hazy essence of nutmeg and honey. It’s vivid and stimulating—and instantly identifies itself as something that could be a big hit with the ladies.
The honey and nutmeg were incredibly strong when I first got this fragrance. I had said that the essence was likely intended for the Oriental Asian market—given how sweet, soft, and refined the gourmand essence was overall. I had described it as a polite fragrance, given how warm and welcoming the gourmand qualities were. The softness of the powdery gourmand essence presented its wearer in such a calm and positive light. Easing all worry of conflict, and making its wearer so easily approachable.
At the end of the day (or better yet overnight), you could get an antiqueish leather aroma out of it (that was very luxurious and dynamic). I had suggested for anyone that found the intensity of the softness and sweetness too domineering—to try spraying it on their clothes a day in advance—and let the fragrance mature into its antiqueish leather form overnight.
I noted that there was possibly an artistic expression at hand, that likened the fragrance and its dynamic qualities to the curing of rawhide into a refined work of leather.
Any owners of the fragrance since its release might find a special treat in it these days if they were to go back and revisit it. I sprayed some on recently to wear, and noticed an incredible difference in the composure of the fragrance. The softness was gone—and the intense bakery spice essence that dominated before had been totally transformed into this smooth, charming, and luxurious accord surrounding the exotic leather note.
This change in the fragrance tells me that Ralph Lauren must have used natural ingredients for the gourmand notes in Supreme Leather. And with two years past now, the natural ingredients are breaching the threshold of their shelf-life, and thus taking a more submissive role in the fragrance. This puts the synthetic leather note up front-and-center—and brings the artistic expression of leather curing into its fullest form.
It smells better now than I could have ever imagined it would from the start. An absolute masterpiece for gourmand leather. Just breathtaking work by Ralph Lauren. He never fails to astound me—a true artisan of such dynamic talent.

This is a sweet leather fragrance with a hint of spice. The name may allude many to believe this is a leather jacket/dark fragrance with tons of leather but it is not. I believe there is a Middle Eastern vibe to it.
Longevity is great but I have found the scent sits close to the skin for me. The scent is very nice though.
I don’t understand the comparisons to CH Men Prive though as CHMP is very boozy. This is more honey and sweet.
Overall, a great, mature and classy scent.

RL Polo Supreme Leather…what can I say? If this was called Tonka Supreme or Royal Honey, then I would say this was an outstanding Tonka/Honey fragrance. Supreme Leather? On me, I don’t really get to any “Supreme Leather” until the end of the fragrance when it is mostly a skin scent or it plays very close to the body; and even then it is a very “sweet leather”, not the rough and tough biker type leather that I was expecting. But even if the sweet leather note was more prominent in the opening or at least within the first 2-3 hours then the name Supreme Leather would fit just a lil more. All that being said, this is actually a wonderful smelling fragrance, especially if this is purchased by someone who doesn’t own a wide variety of frags or is fairly new to the frag community. For me, it is a combination of Spicebomb/One Million (maybe Intense versions of both) but it is done quite well with its smooth, rich quality, almost niche. It is masterfully blended with a very nice spicy (cardamom, nutmeg and saffron) edge to it that dies down during the dry down but it is still noticeable. What’s interesting is that you can actually smell each note listed with surprisingly (for me at least) leather being the least prominent and Honey/Tonka being dominant. My ratings for this frag would be:
    Scent: 8.5
    Longevity: 7.5
    Sillage: 8
    Uniqueness: 6
    Versatility: 7.5
    Overall: 7
My ratings are based on only 1 week of wearing/testing and are subject to change but this is what I get from this frag so far. As I said earlier, this is a wonderful, signature scent worthy fragrance if this is your first buy (or relatively new to buying fragrances) but I believe for others who have an extensive array of scents in their arsenal, I don’t think they will be as impressed, but still this is a very good fragrance from Ralph Lauren.
*Note: If this frag had some distinguishing leather note that was somewhat unique or different or maybe even more pronounced, this would probably rate a 9-9.5.

A beautiful smooth leather fragrance. One of the best fall fragrances ever. This is a leather with allure and sophistication.
Supreme Leather has an aromatic nature, even though it certainly has notes like amber, tonka and honey that could make this scent dense. This dances of lightness and richness is marvelous here. 4 to 6 hours longevity, but seems to linger with fair projection.
This is not near as sweet as some modern fragrances like one million or pure havane and is a little bit more reserved than those modern party or date fragrances.
This fragrance is one of the most mass appealing leathers and a great aromatic to suggest to the younger man 20 plus.Playful, yet smart and intriguing, yet calming.
One of the best fall fragrances you can buy.

This is my description of the fragrance:
Polo Supreme Leather is a more mature version of CH men privé. The same man who wore One Million while being teenager, wore CH men privé while being young adult and picking up women for a hookup. That guy now grown up, having a beautiful wife and kids, still having a playful vibe. while he is away for the job, he always end up having an affairs with a younger lady!
Mostly sweet Leather and honey with some spices
    Longevity: 10 hrs+
    nice projection
Fall and winter at night:dates Clubbing, night outs only. Not made for work
    great compliments getter from ladies

Kind of similar to CH Men Privé, but it’s more mature, less “let’s have sex with random girls” type of a scent. Sweet creamy leathery masculine stuff.
If CH Men Privé is the black leather jacket of the fragrance world, this is the brown one.
I can imagine a bad boy in his 20s wearing CH with a black leather jacket, getting all the girls for sex. Having parties behaving wild and playful.
Decades later this guy is grown up, got married. Changed his black jacket to a brown one, became a real man. Still masculine, he could have got any girl, but he is calmed down, and be loyal for his wife.
This is what the presentation and the smell tell me.
    10/10 stuff

My experience with the Polo line had been fairly hit or miss in the previous decade, with releases like Blue, Red, Double Black, Red Intense, and the Big Pony offerings. I was a bit hesitant to shell out extra cash for Supreme Leather, but my confidence was up after being very impressed with Supreme Oud, so I took the plunge.
I’m very happy with the result.
Supreme Leather is a velvety, rich, creamy fragrance that maximizes the value of its fairly minimalistic note pyramid.
The leather is soft and light, more “brown” than “black,” smoothed over with the gentle application of tonka bean, nutmeg, and cardamom. This core is then glazed with sweet honey, giving the effect of being a two-note composition. A cursory whiff or two would suggest that this is a simple leather-plus-honey recipe, but of course the leather component is influenced by the other, more subdued notes mentioned.
It’s nearly a gourmand fragrance, but not quite.
The projection is subtle, and the longevity is moderate, perhaps 4-5 hours, so either a heavier initial application or a later reapplication may be in order.
Kudos to Ralph Lauren for offering up two very solid “Supreme” fragrances. I can’t wait to see how the third member of the trilogy, Supreme Cashmere, compares to its two older brothers.

I agree with PrincepsNocte when he compares it to Ted Lapidus Altimir. I also think it smells like million and it’s many wannabes. It’s pleasant enough, but not worth buying at the £110 price tag!

Probably this is not very unique but is very pleasant and wearable. Longevity and sillage are ok!for me the best RL fragrance!

I think polo got this one right. I think this could be the mythical polo “winter” fragrance that has been missing since their powerhouse days. Supreme leather opens with a honeyed saffron – if you’ve smelled “honey oud” by floris, imagine a slightly sweeter honey note with a less abrasive backbone (no oud in this one, though the leather/saffron mixture does a nice imitation) – this is a sweet scent built around a beautiful honey note. The leather portion of this fragrance is forgettable – but the overall composition is pleasing. If you’ve tried some of the popular oud based fragrances (floris honey oud, dunhill icon gold, John varvatos oud) and didn’t like them because of the abrasiveness of the oud note, this may very well be right on target for you. I’m glad to see polo trying new things. I got this for $54 usd on notino – and for that price, it’s a steal.

For me the cardamom does it here!! 2 spray on my chest last all day. I also like that it’s not overbearing. However with This juice it’s a pleasure to sniff. Carefull if spraying a white tshirt.. This is in a 3-way tie with my other 2 new favorites, Givenchy Gentlemen Only Intense / GGO Absolute. This would also be a good one to wear wine tasting.
I would be VERY interested if they took this…and ADDED absinthe and a heavy dose of star anise oil..one that makes your eyes burn and water Lol:)
    Update
Similar enough to Bvlgari Men in Black EDP, but better IMO…which is shocking. No difference in quality, just preference in the notes. As they both hit a soapy woodsy green aura that is hard to further describe exactly. Maybe it’s the leather note(?). But this is also definitely more ‘artisan’ quality. Or at least it has that effect. Again, shocking, since i for one always have and Will see Bvlgari as the more artisan of the two..RL being more mainstream/commercial driven than pure quality. The Polo Supreme series did this one right. Haven’t tried the Cashmere but between this and Oud, this wins hands down.

    A nice easy leather.
I detect some of the original green Polo DNA in this.
Drys down slightly sweet but not annoyingly so.
$100 for 120ml is a good price for this fragrance.

Have you smelled the sweet tonka/leather in Ferrari Leather Essence? Or the sweet leather in 1 Million Intense? If so, you’ve smelled this smell. The sweet leather and tonka literally falls right between the two. The leather is not really strong or pronounced, it’s very soft and allows the tonka to shine. This is also less spicy than either of those.
Sadly, I suspect performance is probably sub-par compared to both 1 Million Intense and Ferrari Leather Essence. I took a card that I sprayed 5 times with me after smelling this, and by the time I got home, it was barely scented.
This does smell like it belongs alongside Supreme Oud, but this is by no means as nice as Supreme Oud. Still, this is decent, especially if it were at the $30 price range.

Its smell is similar to the M7 Yves Saint Laurent, but more modern and lively.

    @vexed romance
It says “Oriental Leather” because that is the category the fragrance belongs to, not because of some convoluted asian inspired theme.

This opens with sweet tonka and honey, rich and smooth. Instantly I was sold on it. After the initial burst a salty leather note pokes through. This is sweet and salty at the same time. Slightly medicinal and plasticy but elegant at the same time. Projection and longevity is good, it wears like an EDP. I admit its not as nice of a leathery scent as when Tom Ford does it, but it still works. If you can find this one at a bargain, and your craving some leather, you can do worse.

Fall in love with a first sniff..this is very similar to Burberry Brit Rhythm Intense..as you can see all the dominant notes are almost the same..I mean like really smell almost 80% the same..i’m not sure if I wanna buy another one with a similar scent

I get tonka bean, spicy cardamon mixed with milk and honey. warm and soothing winter formula. Good so far then i read the label, and hmm its “supreme leather”! I can’t detect Leather at all.
The name is misleading…i can understand all the disappointment here. But if you forget the name for a moment and just accept the scent. it’s not that bad and i think women would like it.

For those of you expecting a raw, rugged, john Wayne’s saddle leather scent from this, you will be disappointed. Same goes if you are seeking motorcycle jacket or the interior of a luxury vehicle. If your mindset of leather is purely animalic and dominant, may i challenge you to smell this with an open mind.
Honey, spice, tobacco, and you bet, leather. The note description is dead on and it lends the “feeling” of what this will smell like. The ad for this has a beautiful leather bag, and its a money image of this scent. Imagine yourself with a leather bag in hand or satchel in hand, a buttery soft leather. A tan bag, matched perfectly with a belt and shoes. Gold adorns the bag, and the belt buckle. The lighting is lower and warm with earth tones and dark woods and a beautiful leather couch or arm chair. I imagine a scotch sitting at the table and the scent of a fine cigar lit in the air. Class, warm, sophistication, a cut above in style and comfort yet totally approachable.
I am in love. I cannot stop smelling myself. Each whiff i smell a different nuance or note. Sometimes the leather is to the fore, other times the honey, yet others still, the wonderful spice, yet and still all of the accords together at once in harmony. This is a sweeter scent best suited for a mature man. Anyone CAN wear this, but I think this really shines on 30 plus. Formal, or stylish casual works with this. Fall and winter is where this will shine, i could see this becoming syrupy and heavy if worn at too high a climate.
I smell leather prominently, but i cannot state enough how sophisticated and refined this is. If you want rugged leather then check out polo green, because there is plenty of it to spare, or check out modern reserve because that leather note as well is more pronounced. I do not wear a leather jacket or leather in general, but i assure you i will be in the hunt for a leather hand bag and a buttery soft leather jacket after wearing this fragrance. Polo has raised its bar, and i could not be happier. I truly believe its profile now has something for everyone. I am shocked there is only like 5 reviews of this on here and basenotes. Try and enjoy, a masterpiece to me.

very spicy, not sure if it smells like leather, but kind of smoky almost burning incense like. Honey in there somewhere…you can smell the sweetness of it here and there. Projection is “at least” heavy” as I only put one spray on my wrist from a trial sprayer and everyone who entered the room I was in said it smelled like a “macy’s fragrance counter”. This is what I would consider a nightclub/vegas fragrance. It’s a very spicy, masculine, big cologne. A little will go a long way…
Edit: Added – became a scrubber as the people around complained of the smell… it was too intense…this was just from couple sprays from a sample sprayer….

Very nice scent. I havent came across a cologne that really smells like real Leather and i have tried “Supposedly” the best. Not surei if any1 will ever get that close to an authetic leather smell but i am very happy with my purchase. Very nice and last a very very long time on my skin. Awsrome job Polo

SOOOOOOOooooo disappointed in the scent! It’s a clone of Aigner NO1 Oud and i mean identical to that scent. Someone needs to sue someone over the coping rights. Supreme Leather will become a collector’s item if not anything else!!!

I really liked the preceeding “Supreme Oud” release, not for originality, but for nostalgia and reminiscence of “Gucci pH I”. This new release however leaves me rather uninspired and blasé.
It is nothing but Tonka meets nutmeg meets honey. It is rather dull, overly sweet and I don’t even get any leather (perhaps a faint suede). Given that Ralph Lauren makes really outstanding leather goods, I find this release disappointing to say the least.
    Utterly unoriginal, forgettable and obsolete.
The original POLO has more leather supremacy than this!

Got his one a while ago but got around to testing it only now.
This one surprised me as I don’t get any leather at all. Mostly tonka, cardamom and indeed nutmeg. I usually quite like cardamom but together with the other spices, this perfume gives off an almost medicinal smell. Reminds me a bit of Ted Lapidus’ Altamir, although softer and better. Don’t yet know if this will be a keeper.
Edit: as it dries down, it’s getter better and getting more of a V&R’s Spicebomb vibe (which I adore). Beware if blind buying, unless you’re into very spicy scents.
