As Gypsy parfumista stated this is an understated fragrance. The use of the word “Intense” in the name is misleading and gives the impression of it being something of a heavy leather scent. It is not. To me it is like a light version of Dirty English by Juicy Couture (perhaps mix Dirty English 1 part to 2 parts ethanol).

This begins with sweet clear citruses and a slightly sweet/sour pineapple, but more of a fruity breeze than actual juice or fruits. Some may call this generic, but I find it gives the otherwise heavy remaining notes a light fresh appeal. From the door, there is a lurking spiciness that sort of smoulders in the background. The body is very well blended with tart red currants, warm pepper and just enough oudh (agarwood) to make it feel aged, smooth and rich. The drydown is also quite nice with the utterly masculine notes of birch (more bark than tar), sensual amber and a leathery musk that is in no way heavy, in fact I detect more ambery sweetness than actual leather. If you are looking for Dior Homme Intense meets Z14, then look elsewhere…if you want a nice, subtle scent for under twenty bucks that others can smell,(and really like)this is it! Here, less is more…

Usually an overall rating in the three range is equivalent to a ‘like’; but due to the fact I thought this would be a lot worse than it is, I can honestly say that I love it! Not only for being a nice fragrance and quite the smart buy…but it is sexy and very laid back, but all man! The deodorant is quite nice also, and I generally dislike spray deodorants. This one dries quickly and the smell lasts better than a stick, on my skin. Score 2 points for Pierre Cardin and his modern Collection…

3 points impres me on this fragrance!
1: first impresion is about the bottle,it`s verry masculine,clean,arhitectural,and verry elegant;
2:the scent is perfect combined ,the citrusy-pineapple,from the top with spicy-red currant from the middle and the base musky-amber-leathery
3: is extraordinary this fragrance because is cheap and the quality is extraordinary,and much better in comparition with another expensive fragrance.
Pierre Cardin give one more example of originality , senzational and quality of him house!!!
