Description

The word ” Attar “comes from the Urdu language and means” Fragrance Divine “, a definition which stresses the power of the magician in his wake. Formerly took the name of “Ittar” which in Arabic means “Heavenly Fragrance”.
According to legend, the birth of ‘ Attar is due to an accidental event. One day, the Persian Queen Nour-Dijhan, walking among the streams of the imperial garden, he noticed a veil fat floating on the water at the point where they drop thousands of roses. After collecting a few drops of that liquid gold with a peacock feather and it smelled, the queen was enchanted by what he called heavenly scent. Because of the sharp fall had been a natural process of distillation, which had brought to the surface the essence of the rose and gave birth to the first Attar of Rose. L ‘ Attar is completely free of alcohol and comes in an oily substance made by the soul alone, and only smelling extracted from natural raw materials, according to ancient procedures for processing.

In Arabic, its name means “Wood of Eternity.” A legend says that heaven is permeated by the aroma of Oud Wood. On the earth, the Oud shed a powerful scent with woody and smoky accents. Oudh Al Khaloud concentrates in its wake only the best quality of Oud. A rarity in the world of Perfume. Penetrating and haunting, it emits dream scrolls embroidered of exoticism that surrounds the person, transforming it into a temple dedicated to the cult of per-fumum.

Available in 12 ml bottle.

A lot of people ask what’s the oudh smell like. Well, it’s hard to explain – mainly because there are many different varieties of oudh (Indian, Indonesian, Cambodian, Thai, etc.) and they very differ from each other. For instance, there is a big difference between aged and non-aged ouds.
Non-aged oud smells like a mix of strong real wood, some “medicinal” note, often referred to as “band aid” because it’s close to the rubbery smell of old band aids, and a touch of sweetness, like that of fruit or honey. Some also have a touch of tar or minerals.
Very aged ouds can be more intensely woody (think wood that is rotting, like when you enter a damp basement in a wooden house), and less sweet. They can also have strong animalic notes (some say fecal, though it’s not really like that).
The smell opens on the skin within 20 minutes up to an hour.
The oudh oil put you in light trance and relaxation, so in many religions, is used during worship and religious services (such as incense in Christian churches). I emphasize – Uda concentrated oil can only be assessed by trained connoisseurs, like old wine, exotic food, etc. In exclusive products perfumes actually use tiny doses of oud, so as not to shock the layman.
I ordered on websites three different grades of oudh oil (Cambodian oil, mix of different kinds agarwood and Thai oudh oil). So, I paid an average of € 15 per gram, which is a very good price for this product. For example the same product but it turned into a brand (such as Oudh Al Khaloud by Amouage) is € 1500 per 30 grams, which corresponds to € 50 per gram.
