Description

Nude is a floral fragrance with the main notes of aldehydes, rose, narcissus, jasmine, ylang-ylang, moss, musk, vetiver and sandalwood. The scent is unbelievably intimate, with intensive musk nuance which makes it very sensual. The perfume was created in 1991 by Sophia Grojsman.

If I didn’t know this was by Bill Blass, I would of thought it was by Guerlain Or Lancome even Estée Lauder. Nude by B.B. is unlike any other perfume on the market, I love Nude and I’ve been wearing it for years since 2004 I think. There is nothing that smells like this. It’s such a unique scent. I absolutely love this so much. Staying power is so good and sillage is always been very good. I had a aunt who wore this in the early 90s until now. She wear Estée Lauder’s Beautiful, Bill Blass nude, & Arden True Love edt. I will never be without nude in my collection. It’s my favorite by far!

I can’t figure out if the rosemary note is prominent because I LOVE rosemary, but it’s like “bing”! This is really nice. I would say it’s calming and comforting but it bothers (in a good way) and intrigues. Classy and sharp from a distance, but quite different on the skin- still very nice, but different. I think the name is perfect for this scent. I read some reviews where some don’t like it with their body chemistry – try spraying it on your clothes! It’s absolutely an attention- getter.

I can’t believe I’m saying this since I ADORE Sophia Grojsman’s creations, but Nude by BIJAN is LIGHTYEARS better than this one!!! Almost identical- but Bijan is the winner here: the Bill Blass one smells “incomplete” compared to Bijan’s which smells complete, full, intense, fully blossomed.

My new love, wonderful, very similar to vintage Climat.

Probably shouldn’t be broadcasting this, but had to share the wealth so to speak. The original formulation of this most beautiful fragrance was distributed through Prestige Fragrances. It is printed on the label on the bottom of each bottle and on the back of the box. The reformulation (and there could be more than one, not sure) is distributed by First American. I believe this reformulation is the one that is receiving complaints. When ordering online or buying at a store just make sure you are buying a bottle from Prestige and you won’t be disappointed. It still amazes me that certain fragrances that are sure fire winners are discontinued or released as “limited editions” and never heard of again. Another floral fragrance that was released and then stopped suddenly is was by Estee Lauder called “Honeysuckle Splash”. Every once in awhile I find a reasonably priced bottle on eBay and scoop it up. I suppose the best thing to do is stockpile your favorites and use in rotation so you never run out. My husband thinks I’m nuts with over 50 different fragrances stored in cool, dry drawers of my vanity. He thinks I won’t live long enough to ever use them all, ha! Well then my future daughter-in-law or granddaughter will inherit my collection. All I hope is they don’t end up at a yard sale marked 25 cents a piece, sniff, sniff. Just got a sniff of Nude and those thoughts just fluttered away.

This perfume has been discontinued for a long time. unfortunately, the bottles that are sold online are most likely not authentic as the reserve for the perfume should have been depleted a long time ago. While the narcissus gives me a headache, my mother adores this perfume. If anyone knows of any perfume that may be similar to this one and is still in production, then please send me a message.

I bought this from online because I remembered how good the magazine strips of this smelled when I was a kid but I must have gotten a spoiled bottle because it came out with a horrible animalic almost urinous notes and underneath I smelled rich white flowers but the spoiled notes were so strong and persistent it messed up the whole thing.

This is a new acquisition for me and I’m extremely happy with it. In its current formulation (and I’m not familiar with the vintage), NUDE is a lovely, subtle, warm fragrance that on me is sandalwood-dominant from start to finish. This is great as I’ve always been a sandalwood fan. After dry-down, I can pick up the undertones of floral notes. The aldehydic tones are mild and just add a certain something without ever going sour.
Despite the subtlety of this fragrance, NUDE is by no means a skin-scent and there is a definite presence in the air around me that smells alluring, but doesn’t immediately register as perfume. Although I haven’t had NUDE for very long, I’ve already worn it a number of times, which is always a good indication of versatility. It hasn’t become heavy on hot, humid days and it hasn’t become too soft when I’m somewhere with glacial-level air conditioning. Longevity is excellent and it lingers a bit even after a shower.
Note: I’ve read a disturbing number of complaints on various sites that report rancidity or peculiar notes in certain bottles, so I have a feeling there may be a spoiled or counterfeit batch in circulation. For this reason, I’d recommend verifying the return policy prior to purchase. The code on mine is 1936 (I can’t find the year of production), but I’m not sure the code makes a difference in this situation. It may be hit or miss and I was lucky.

I love nude it’s been something that almost every female in my family wears or has worn this and Beautiful edp are the two main scents that are cult classics in my family this and Beautiful edp are my most complicated perfumes EVER! Love nude I wear about 4 sprays on shirt and one on wrist so about 5 but I like my perfume alittle heavier! Bill blass hit it out of the park with nude. So gorgeous!

A more complex version of Bijan Nude. Bill Blass Nude is not nude at all on me. The sandalwood and jasmine really come out on my skin and its almost oriental smelling. Very long lasting on my skin.

this one is not for everybody. it does not behave like a regular pefume .when it settles down it smells like the inner part of a lady’s leather purse containing all kind of make up .i think this perfume should be categorized ,at this stage, as a leather scent. someone here wrote it smells like a woman’s clean washed skin ,only better . she is correct. by the way “nude” is the right name for this one. staying power -good, sillage-medium minus.
Edit: first time my husband hates a perfume i put on. i think this one will find it’s way to the toilette as an air freshner though i think it will not be suitable also for this purpose since it is not a clean fresh scent.

With advancing age and poor health I’m becoming anosmic and have more or less given up trying and collecting new scents. However I was intrigued by reviews on here and saw Nude being offered at an affordable price (sadly it’s been discontinued) so I thought ‘why not’. So glad I did. It’s not just a scent but a sensation one can retreat into when times are tough. It’s the big whack of aldehydes, remembered from all the exciting French perfumes on my first visit to Paris. Sparkling excitement of a ‘real perfume’, not the same as but same effect as Ma Griffe. There’s no cloying candy smell here, dancing florals with musk in the background to give it heft. Nude is so ‘out there’ I’ve kept it for private times at home feeling I dare not wear it for coffee or church. Nude is my new favourite experience. Nude I love you

Once in interview Sophia Grojsman had mentioned, that her wish is that women could wear each of her perfumes for ALL occasions, not like – this I can wear only for date and this – being busy at home. For Sophia’s understanding, woman, even if she has got only one single perfume, – has rights to rock it! Fragrance should suit to all situations just fine – be it important meeting at work, getting relaxed at home with kids or fixing quick supper for family. I like that approach and many women, who love Grojsman’s juices would agree – it brings happiness and feeling of being loved, like no other.
Nude is not an exception, yet it is very special. For first – it is very…softly erotic, not cuddly or wild, but suggestive, sensual and very calm. Aromatic, absorbing. Orris root here is pretty much similar with Prada’s Iris, also heavenly narcisses pollen is present, it definitely has this nude, realistic woman’s skin personalisation, unusual and imaginative fragrance. I would say it is Sophia’s secret weapon, a gift of confidence for many women in special situation, love it dearly.

The number of unique perfumes Sophia Grojsman has created that have been perpetual smashing hits for decades, is simply mind boggling. Nude is no exception. It is absolutely exquisitely crafted and the end result is nothing I like anything I have ever smelled before.
Aldehydic opening is undoubtedly heady, but only for a minute or so. Grojsman has drifted away from rose-peach accord, a winning mix in many of her creations. Nude has a soft, dry and alluring beauty. It doesn’t smell like perfume, but like your skin only better.
Oakmoss and white musk are predominant notes on my skin (pale white Caucasian), and I do detect early in the development some polished facets of ylang ylang and rose. Orris root keeps the whole composition from crumbling into individual pieces, and makes a wonderful, sensual powdery olfactory cocoon. On my skin sandalwood is quite pronounced from the opening till the very last wafts of dry down.
I would say that the sillage is quite subdued, this is definitely a skin scent. The longevity is moderate, up to 6 hours if no physical activities are involved. After about an hour, it goes straight to the dry down phase and it lingers like a second skin. Truly marvelous and unique, a must try for all olfactory afictionados.

This is such an interesting scent! Heady narcissus, powdery orris, fresh aldehydes, a bit of musk and not much oakmoss, just a touch. Seems like an odd combination and it is a different scent. The drydown is creamy and powdery – the whole thing has a milky feel, sort of like Bottega Venetta or Gucci Rush (though Nude doesn’t smell like those scents). Really unique and lovely. I guess some would say dated, it’s simply classy. 🙂 What it’s not is crisp or sharp. It’s like a fog and super hard to pin down and describe. I love Fragrant Desert’s review!

  16. :

Very similar to Bijan Nude! Bill Blass one is more quality. I love simple scents but this one is too neutral for my liking. Plus it’s not for my skin chemistry. For stronger scents I’d recommend van cleef un air for a similar and even fresher vibe.

First impressions: What a beautiful perfume! It smells like face cream and as someone said before, doll’s heads. The person who said it smells like Yves Rocher’s Clea is spot on, that’s exactly what I thought at first spray. However, this perfume develops into a unique perfume in its own right. It’s a very gentle smell but the sillage is heavy. The longevity is excellent. I tried to wash it off so that I could try another perfume on, but it is still there!
I imagine a very innocent, fresh faced, pretty young lady wearing this perfume. Maybe a young Brooke Shields.

PEOPLE! Why don’t anyone GET this perfume I
totally don’t GET. Everyone admits it smells like a
    post-shower after a shampoo with Johnson’s baby
and applying deodorant. Well! THERE YOU HAVE
IT. You’ve just UNDERSTOOD this perfume. Nude!

  19. :

Well, this one certainly seems to shift depending upon who wears it. First spray I don’t get the aldehydes. Nothing attacks me here. Weird is at first there are notes in Nude which do not exist in Nude. Was that an organic vanilla milkshake with some nutmeg? No. You are insane. Later, I forget the notes and decide what is best is to describe by experiencing Nude. To me, Nude is that quiet friend, the one you wish would do something, Anything, and yet you love them because they are a nice ‘constant’? It’s like an easy day when you suddenly have the casual observation that the wind is softly blowing and the air is carrying some earthy flowers you cannot really identify but which all come together and relax you. Frankly, I think Nude is best remembered by me as “Meditation”. It’s nature when she is simple. You know she is capable of mass destruction and awesome beauty but most of the time she is just Still and sort of breathes.

I think this perfume ought to be called “Revelation”. We are entering summer and Johannesburg is in the middle of a heat wave. Too hot for any of the perfumes in my arsenal but I NEED perfume. Nude is another blind buy and what an eye-opener! My interest in scent/perfume started in the late 1990’s, therefore, I’ve been indoctrinated that “fresh” in scent equals aquatic or citrusy notes. Very probably something from CK. Bill Blass Nude is a ‘cool and fresh’ scent that has absolutely no association with water and very-very little with citrus. I’m not very good at identifying different notes in a perfume but I get something like violet sweets (orris root?), galbanum/vetiver and NEW DOLL. It sounds terrible but it really smells lovely and sophisticated, although very unlike any other fragrance that I know, although is does share an ‘earthiness’ with Cerruti 1881.If you have more ‘modern’ tastes in perfume I would stay away from this, however… Definitely my new summer scent.

I used to really like this fragrance about 20 or so years ago, but I recently bought a bottle to try it again, and it smells totally different from my memory. Unpleasant. There is some note in here that assaults my nostrils.
If anyone is interested in a swap, I have a full bottle. Message me!

The first spray blasts you with aldehydes. That fades down a bit and your left with a version of baby powder like the drydown in Chanel no. 5.

  24. :

Crisp floral aldehyde….if you love aldehydes along the lines of Chanel No.5 then you will more than likely really enjoy this. Nude was just what I needed in these sweltering days of Texas summer. There is no spice..just the green bite of orris root and narcissus. Sophia Grojsman really did a nice job with this one!

Women should definitely check this out. A woman I often share a bus with wears this. The first time I smelled I wanted to find out what it was. I expected her to say something from Guerlain or Hermes, but it was Bill Blass Nude. This is a very classy feminine scent, not overpowering, that can easily pass for something ten times as expensive. Men will definitely notice it even if they don’t say anything.

I sprayed this on, smelled it and immediately felt my nose hairs burn off. On me, I got nothing but aldehydic with an unpleasant woody undertone. And it wasn’t only my nose suffering. My fellow teachers commented on smelling something awful. I ended blaming an undeserving 14 year old boy with gas.
I put a note with this in the break room offering it free to a good home. No one touched this. I think it eventually ended up in a White Elephant Christmas swap. Yikes:(

My chemistry pounced on the rosemary note and didn’t let go of it through a long lasting dry down. Most disappointing since the reviews gave me great hope this would be a winner. Somewhere is oakmoss and I want to find it. I’ll give it a few more trials when the weather changes.
Later, after wearing Nude several times, I have a wonderful long lasting fragrance perfect for daytime wear. I think I forgot to clear the pump of “stagnant” perfume first time. I don’t isolate the rosemary note at all. I smell a blend of notes-a mild Ma Griffe (no offense to MG lovers). Greens and flowers, non offensive. Thanks Fragranticans for encouraging reviews.

    O wow.
My apologies for all Nude Bill Blass lovers, I so wanted to like this one, but… On my skin, it smells cheap, synthetic and insecticide like*. Maybe I got a cheap knock off from fragrancex. That would be a first, I’ve always got reputable products from them, but this one smells nothing like what other people described. Or maybe, it is my skin chemistry. In any case, a huge disappointment.
    * the insecticide like smell reminds me of Datura Noir by Serge Lutens — I wonder if there are similar notes that can explain this yucky development.

I’m going to re-purchase this as my fall/winter scent. Although I had it in the past and found it too strong…I did get complimented on it….so maybe now that it’s six years after the fact I will re-purchase since I’m a little older now and I have kids and my body may be ready for the boldness of it with a light hand on my end. Let’s see…if not, I will just gift it to my mom whom I’m sure will like it.

LUVIT. Longevity and sillage is pretty good. This really reminds me of the Bill Blass for Women that I used as a teen. I guess it’s the bergamot, jasmine, ylang-ylang and musk that I smell. The difference is the rose and narcissus that adds so much more. I’m a big fan of roses of any sort, and narcissus…what more can I say?

At first i just didn’t get this scent, i was smelling my wrist and wondering HOW could one love this plasticky oakmossy nailpolish remover scent, and then… i was cooking and noticed sweet floral heavenly scent from somewhere – it was the sillage from my wrist! I am truly shocked because it’s the first fragrance in my life (i own more than 8 dozen!) which is so different – when you sniff it right from your wrist, it’s dusty and unpleasant (but the sillage is heavenly), but if you spray a cloud in front of yourself and step into it – Nude is pure powdery heaven! So unique, i even can’t describe it. So happy i got this in a swap!

i definately agree with the reviews that this reminded people of after you brush your teeth and apply deoderant. it has a very clean smell. i get a little rose in the background but i think this is a pretty unisex fragrance. i dont hate it, but it makes me think im not wearing perfume. definately not a sensual nude. i think if maybe the floral was a bit more present then i would like it. its okay though in my opinion. could wear this to work. i imagine a serious woman wearing this, or some hippy who wants to smell like they took a bath.

I am so loving this, I get the pear skin, creamy sandalwood and aldehydes. On my skin, it reminds me of Yves Rocher Clea. It is a dated perfume and one I am thrilled to have added to my collection. I feel the need to have a backup or two on this one. What a relaxing and intoxicating scent!
I have decanted this into a roll on and I am not getting the aldehyde blast that could be so off putting. This went straight to a powdery dry down which is what I was aiming for…so much better.

  35. :

    4 out of 5

I get a straight-up pear upon the first few inhales. That may be the plastic-y scent many are referring to. But for me, it’s a sensual pear, even. Followed by really creamy sandalwood and flattened out (ina good way) aldehydes. As a guy, I would NEVER wear this daytime to the office. It’s far too sensual. But at night at home when I’m about to go to bed? Yes. It’s an incredibly relaxing scent for me.

This is one of my favorite perfumes!! When I first bought it, it was a blind eBay purchase so I thought I had struck gold. I sprayed it everywhere! On me, on my sheets, in my lingerie drawer, in my bathwater! Everything! I thought the aldehydes were so soft and feminine, the way it smelled powdery yet fresh & slightly green at the same time was to die for. The Orris Root in this is so lovely. I’m crazy for a good orris root note. To me, this might be the most classically feminine smell. Really lady-like, kind of old Hollywood. I love the plasticy note, it’s delicate and reminded me of a babydoll or a barbie or a my little pony. It doesn’t last all the way through but I love it. I still love it, but I haven’t been wearing it much recently because one of my girlfriends told me it smelled masculine. Like straight up men’s cologne. It has made me so self-conscious! I don’t know if it’s power of suggestion but now when I smell it, it smells like Men’s cologne. I’m heartbroken. Does anyone else get this? Help? Soothe my soul, please? ):

  39. :

Oh, this one is definitely an aldehyde alright…
I did buy this one unsniffed – after reading tons and tons of very divided opinions.
At first spray I somehow got ‘sour’, that’s the best way I can describe it – which left me heavily dissapointed considering considering having read another page where someone compared Nude to Bella Bellissima’s “Perfect Night”. Since Perfect Night can’t be purchased in the US (not without paying almost as much for shipping) – I of course had high hopes for Nude – especially considering the price.
No, Nude is absolutely not Perfect Night. Nude is Nude – an aldehyde. The only similarity could be the incense note in the drydown – hours after wearing it.
The first time I sprayed Nude I could see why some it class it the ‘bombshell’ perfume. Maybe it’s the aldehyde Chanel No.5 marketing that found it’s way into my head – but I very much see this being worn by the perfectly coiffed blonde with contrasting bright red lipstick.
I just couldn’t deal with it then and there – I was making scrambled eggs and this perfume just felt so very out of place that morning.
3 months later I picked it up again, contemplating to sell it. I’m glad I tried it again – although I don’t see myself reaching for this in the wee hours of the morning – it’s just too unique to give it away. The opening is still hard to love, yet the drydown makes it worth for me – and I typically don’t have that type of patience. It does feel ‘dated’ to me, but not in any bad sense. Conjuring up the past doesn’t have to be a bad thing. I definitely smell the 90ies in it.
The drydown include 30 minutes of a phase that felt very masculine to me, then it changed yet again to a more woody note.
This is one to experiment with.

I really wanted to like this. I liked the idea of it. I don’t hate it, and will eventually use it up, but I won’t buy it again.
Although people notice the scent and say they like it, to me it always smells partly of “tootles”, the popular baby doll my Mother bought me for Christmas in about 1956.

Hm I have some old Nude, and when I wear it, it draws inquiries — if someone is standing close! I see it as a personal scent, don’t douse yourself, only a hint of aroma should be available ( unless you’re naked). Probably what I like is that it completely LACKS all the supersweet marshmallow (“vanilla”)sugariness of a hundred scents out there, even some of the revisited classics, or over the top flowers or fruits screaming for attention. One other comment rang true – others will pick up the scent when you think it’s gone — another reason to minimize application. It’s one of those aromas that I love to catch after it has been on four an hour or two…it really seems to become part of your skin, but more inviting

I had Nude before, buy for some reason I did not appreciated it well enough. I thought that it is quiet unique, starts like nail polish remover and transfers to something really tenter and feminin.
After having a baby I was sensitive for perfumes and I gave it away; What a shame, I really regret that I did it.
I bought it again, as the memories could not let me pass by this wonderful scent!
I just received it and I love it even more then the first time.
I want to close my eyes when I’m sniffing my wrist, for some reason it is really relaxing to me, very quiet whisper like. Smooth well rounder and creamy. Yes there is still some synthetic filling about it, but it is not bothering me at all, it adds a unique nuance to it, it definitely one king of scent, if you smell it ones you will never forget it or the person who wearing it!
    My new favorite!!!

All I know is that my little daughter keeps telling me how good I smell long after I can’t smell this perfume on me. Nude (for the price) may become one of my signature scents….I am excited about that!

This was great, long lasting with moderate sillage. It is more subtle on me,close to the skin, I think someone would need to be intimately close to notice. I was typing and would smell it as I moved my arms. It reminds me of Donna Karan Cashmere Mist, the woodiness and the musk. Oddly enough, about 4 hrs in, I got a blast of pure wood, and then it went back to the blend scent. I’m glad I got a big bottle!

I owned this scent after a co-worker wore it and I just loved the smell. However, it came off way to strong when I wore it. I received compliments but to me it was just way too strong. I have that experience with certain fragrances, love it on others but no go for me…this has happened with Vera Wang Princess, Noa by Cacharel, and I’m starting to be on the fence about my Versace Versense.

This perfume was my first “blind buy”,and i do not regret it.
it is a very uncommon fragrance.it is hard to describe,it smells not floral or fruity.
a little synthetic, notes of musc and aldehydes,a bit sweet but not sickly.
it is a veil of scent.very subtly on the skin.
    I like it.

It was unusual fragrance for me. When I was buying it in a store it seemed angelic to me. When I sprayed it at home, it was disgusting! I could not tolerate it wearing a whole day – I had a headache. Next day it was a pleasant angelic aroma. Don’t spray a full spray. Add a tiniest drop on your neck or wrist and wait. It will be as nice as it could be. Funny that when I gave different samples of parfume to my 10 years daughter at different time, she always chose Nude as the best and nice smelling fragrance.

Hmmn? I thought this one had mimosa in it, too…well… anyway, I remember it as a soft cologne that was easy to wear. If they bring it back, which I hope they do, or revamp it, whatever they call it…I just hope they do not reformulate it on the cheap side. Flankers are driving us all insane, and it becomes harder and harder to find seriously fine colognes, parfums and perfumes.
BB made some nice fragrances, so I hope the oldies, rise out of the ashes as the phoenixes they were once. One more time, where will my friend be able to find the one called HOT? She said it had been one of her favorites. Does anyone know?

I always have wondered, what others meant by saying: “Perfume xyz has grown on me..”
“That’s silly”, I thought. “You either like it or you don’t, simple as that.”
    And than came “Nude”.
First sniff: I hated it, I was disgusted, appalled, you name it. A scrubber.
Next time: This does smell like the inside of a (clean) hospital (and I hate hospitals, even the clean ones). Or the smell of a freshly openend package of a muslin bandage. Chemical and plastical. Baeh!
Than came the right day, the right mood, the right longing: I wanted to smell artifially clean. I grabbed “Nude”. And I was happy with it!
I wore it more often and I detected the beauty and natural side behind this artificial scent. The rose!
Now all I can smell is rose, rose, rose, and one of the finest out there! Not a solifleur, not an over-styled rose, not niche. The somehow cool side of rose, with the warmness of skin. This is an offensive scent, because it so unique and tends to smell artifical; on the other hand it is the most unoffensive of all scents, because it’s a plain and simple beautiful rose with a small little animal, but not the stinky one.
I am absolutely sure, that this is one of those perfumes, for which they gonna pay heaps amounts of money on ebay in 10 years. A classic.
I guess, “Nude” has grown on me…

Not sure what it is about this that I love so much but I can’t stop smelling this! To me this is very clean and classy. I love Sophia Grosjman so it is no wonder I am drawn to this smell. The silage is monster on this. This is a great year round perfume!

I tried wearing this on several occasions but just couldn’t stomach it. The powdery, smokiness was just too much for me. It also smelled really dated.

Someone gave this to me as a gift like 15-20 years ago. At first I remember I thought it was just ok, but it quickly grew on me. These days, when I think of nude fragrances, I think of fragrances that smell like bath soap. Nude doesn’t smell like bath soap, it smells like musk and sandalwood. Those types of notes are often overpowering, but NUDE is different. It’s sweet, powdery, soft, delicate, lingering, and NUDE. It’s the way a woman’s naked body should smell if we never bathed nor wore clothes or perfume.

A skin scent with an astringent opening that settles down to a warm base of oakmoss, rose, sandalwood, and musk.

Encouraged by the short fragrantica list of its ingredients and your reviews I bought Nude online. So our first encounter felt somehow like a blind date.
Yes – one should be carefull meeting strangers and instead of a friendly “hello” opening the chique flacon I received a knock-on-nose followed by the kindest words of regret. Like a person who is too shy to be tender Nude had then introduced herself with rough body talk but since then still caresses me most tenderly and warm hearted as a redress of this grievance showing herself like she really is: nude

As A young teen I rembered getting a sample of this @ JCPenney. No,I rembered LOVING its scent, but totally forgetting what it was,or the name, from 15+ yrs ago and I had been hoping to figure it out.Tonite I stumbled across it listed in a clearance section @ an online discount store !” That’s it !!!” I shouted to nobody in particular.OK,you get the idea. This absolutely an unforgettable perfume, even if you can’t remember the name ,you WILL NOT forget the scent !! I adore it just as I do Venezia and Spellbound and a new love,Alien.I refuse to be without any of these,EVER.

How odd… I have a bottle of Christine Darvin’s Charming (not in our data base) that I like quite a lot but hadn’t found a review of it anywhere until today when I found one:
“This perfume smells exactly the same as Nude by Bill Blass, and the bottle is almost identical as well, so I’m curious if this is one of those copycat fragrances or if it’s actually an authorised French version of Nude. Very strange! Although it smells almost exactly the same as Nude to me it doesn’t smell as cloying as Nude so I actually quite like it.”
My nose picks up in Charming the same notes as listed here for Nude. The initial blast of aldehydes is rather like plastic but the drydown settles to sandalwood and musk warmed by a light floral. Unlike anything else in my large collection and available at on-line discounters at 50%-75% less than Nude. Grab it!
Edit: The opening “plastic doll” notes seemed more & more prominent each time I wore both Charming AND this and eventually it was so overwhelming I couldn’t wait for the drydown. I passed Charming on to a lover of lighter fragrances and she reports no plastic smell whatsoever. I passed Nude on to my mom and on her it’s a beautiful, shower-fresh, bright & light floral Go figure.

“Nude” is really a strange fragrance. I did not like it at first, but now I find it quite intriguing!
Even know, to me, the first spritz is the worst! I
