I get a lot of compliments on this one. It is a warm enveloping skin scent – a combo of milky musk with lots of lactones. Nothing is sharp – it is all smooth and rounded. On me this scent stays the same the entire time I have it on. It doesn’t finish in a simple musk scent – it stays a sensuous milky musk the entire time. The next day if I smell the shirt I was wearing the day I was wearing this is still has the full milky musk smell. I love it and have gone through several bottles at this point. I can’t say enough about how much I love the quality of Ava Luxe fragrances.

I love the milky opening but not the musky drydown ;( It opens with soft warm but very perfumey milk, it doesn’t smell edible at all and then it becomes awfully musky, a fishy unpleasant musk unfortunately.
On my skin the longevity was good but the sillage was quite soft.

This doesn’t smell like condensed milk to me but it is definitely “milky” as far as lactones go. It is also very sweet and becomes VERY musky. Overall, I find this very boring.

I’ve been looking for this fragrance all of my life. Smells exactly like Eagle Brand condensed milk, with a note of fresh, steamed whole milk, like you would put in a latte. It’s so comforting, and so perfect. As someone who has breastfed three kids, I can see how people could be reminded of lactating- it’s milk, and it’s sweet, the musk is clean, like a freshly showered mama. That being said, I LOVED the way I smelled whilst lactating, and so did everyone else. That sweet little baby head smell no one can get enough of? Yeah, that’s from breast milk and new skin and it’s the best scent in the entire universe. Maybe that’s just my ovaries talking (yikes)… but in reality Ava Luxe’s Milk seems to quell the baby fever for me by providing the part I adore without the part that requires me to send it to college and lose sleep over their terrible decisions. Wear it loud and proud in public. You’ll smell fertile at the very least, and that’s pretty hot on the most basic level.

For anyone looking for this fragrance, you can buy it off Ava Luxe’s website! She ships worldwide, this is how I acquired my small vial! The perfume itself is gorgeously realistic, milky and soft, and lasts for over 6 hours on my skin! Recommend.

I really really want to try this perfume, scented milk, reminding me since I was a child, my mother likes to wear scented soap with the milk and it made an impression until now, now I’ve found what I want, Ava Luxe Milk is my dream. I am really very happy to anyone who wants to give a little to me as a tester
Thank you ^ ^ <3

Milky musk. It feels like cool white velvet to my nose, or like creamy veils of lotion pouring from the sky, like in one of those Calgon commercials.

I have to agree this is straight super sweet milk. 🙂 It smells pretty much like condensed milk. Thick, creamy and ready to make your insulin levels spike up. 🙂 Comforting and linear, IMO.

This reminds me of Matin Calin but in a way that it’s in the same “family” but not a twin or anything. I don’t find this scent attractive at all. Maybe it’s because I’m lactose intolerant. Maybe it’s because I’ve nursed 3 babies. I adore Moyra’s comment about Ava’s “mad genius” for concocting the first smells in our human lives that have meaning for us (milk, mother’s skin). Fascinating, really. Someday I dealy hope to meet Serena Ava Franco because she inspires and intrigues me.

“Milk” is nothing like what you would consider a straight up “milky” smell to be like, its really the “idea” of milk as comfort and deliciousness.
Honestly, its more Dulce de Leche (caramel jam, of sorts) with a very softly done brushing of musk – nowhere near as vivid in the musk notes as Ava Luxe’s “Love’s True Bluish Light” but very much in that general vein.
Its a very gentle fragrance, and quite cleverly composed, because the musk saves it from the ho-humness of just being “candy for the skin” and turns it into a real perfume.
I must note here that even though “black musk” is not my thing, in “Milk” the musk brings a very gentle reminder of the animality of milk itself, perhaps even of its mammalian origins. And although this may sound icky to many of us, its pretty darn fab for wee babies. And somewhere inside all of us, that tiny, fragile baby still exists.
Milk really leaves me somewhat pensive, I tend to wear it as a layering scent together with other gourmands. It is especially lovely with Ava Luxe’s almost edible almondy goodness “Amandes”, and to soften some rather sharpish compositions when the mood for sharpness isn’t upon me.
In the end, I feel Ava Luxe’s Milk is almost a work of mad genius. There is definitely something Jean Baptiste Grenouille-sque about it (the insane protagonist of Patrick Susskind’s “Perfume” novel). To me it feels like a tribute to motherhood, to the first smells we encountered in our life as humans.
Milk’s sillage is discreet and the lasting power is about 6-8 hours, which is creditable, however, I cannot really rate this on a 1-10 scale because it is such an intimate, evocative scent.
Definitely glad to have Milk in my collection, though.
