Description

Lune Féline radiates seduction and temptation. Like a magnetic star, it captures

everyone’s attention. It is a symphony of dark and luxurious notes inspired by the

moon.

The fragrance opens on vibrant accords of warm spices melting with intense and

precious woods at its heart. A dark and animalistic scent based on vanilla pods and

sensual orchid warmed with balsamic notes and musky accords, these notes convey

a rich, gourmand trail. Lune Feline was launched in 2015. The nose behind this fragrance is Marie Salamagne.

I love this it is my all time favorite, well that and Rania J Ambre Loup but it is really expensive and I must buy a smaller decanted bottle so I do!

This fragrance is everything I LOVE it! It has to be smelled on your skin before buying it as there is something about it that smells a little musky or sharp or something and has a little bite to it no more of a subtle nibble well anyway just try it I think you will love it too.

It’s a dark, warm, resinous vanilla … however, the opening is not about the vanilla. The conglomeration of its spice, wood and resin notes give it a non-gourmand and somewhat desiccant opening. Notably the high-quality, grown-up vanilla shines in the drydown. It lasts more than 8 hours on the skin and what was left is the most beautiful sweet perfection of luscious vanilla a gourmand lover can truly appreciate.

Sexy. First minute a punch of spicy cinnamon, the next deep vanilla with a touch of tar, the next woods with the barest hint of smoke. I get no musk on my skin. Quality vanilla is all that remained at the end of the day. Perfect for fall and winter. Beautiful scent.

    Vanilla based blend.
I am really surprised how good this blend is! it does have that balsamic vanilla taste with cardamom and ambergris and wrapped in a soft leather gloves! (you know that glove that some men wears while driving sport cars). This leather hoovers around the whole balsamic vanilla blend. I can’t detect any musk! but styrax, pepper, and woods are def there.
I am really surprised how this fragrances smell! as i had this sample in 5th sept 2015 but i don’t remember it was amusing back then like it is now! very interesting for those who loves vanilla soft leather and hintly spiced up.

Thick, overly sweet cupcake icing vanilla. Nauseating. No wood, no cinnamon, no cardamom. Just pure headache inducing icing sugar. 95% similar to eau duelle edp

I get tree sap. Sharp, woody, tree sap.
There’s a hint of vanilla but not much.
Clearly other folks are getting quite a different experience out of this fragrance. I would classify this as woody in the extreme. Very realistic, fresh cut wood with the sap still running and getting all over your hands.
There’s even some of the darkness of the bark. But it sort of ends there. Clearly my skin accentuates the wood in this fragrance.
TEST before buying, this won’t work for everyone. (I’m glad I did!)

    Amazingsauce!
Warning! The first hour of Lune Feline is very different, though no less wonderful, from the drydown.
30-60 mins: cinnamon and strong cardamom, quite realistic and with an almost fizzy quality. Spicy and pinch of sugar.
Like many others, I wish this stage would last forever:)
60+ mins: balsamic, sweet (but not necessarily gourmand) vanilla with a hint of the spices mentioned above.
At no stage do I detect any animalic qualities.
Longevity: serious longevity! Sillage: … mmmm, it’s adequate.
I tend to prefer linear perfumes, yet I am seriously considering aquiring a FB of Lune Feline.
Pinnacos: I assume it’s because we all have different reasons for wearing perfume and “garnering compliments from others” is as good a reason as any? I think it’s a lovely thing when those I surround myself with also get some enjoyment out of my perfume:). And, of course, the kindness they show when they go out of their way to compliment my fragrance or clothes or my hard work at the office… Just friendly discussion, not meant as anything else!

OMG that is all! this is a gorgeous spicy sweet creamy waxy vanilla- every time I wear this I become edible.
This is one of my all time favourite fragrances and hope to own a bottle at some point, the bottle is also stunning with little gold flakes in the juice just to add that mysterious adventure.
    10/10 highly recommend!

One of my new favorites. I won an auction on eBay and received a 1/2 full bottle for a great price.
Beautiful and complex vanilla with cardamom and cinnamon, managing to stay away from the common, sweet and gourmand categories. Instead Lune Feline is dark and has a animalic quality, probably due to the ambergris note present throughout.
This is a big full scent with a 5-6 hour life on me (which is excellent on my dry skin). For cold weather only, this projects too much in warm weather. An enthusiastic thumbs up from me.

My thoughts immediately go to Diptyque Eau Duelle indeed, but less pink pepper, softer. A concentrated spray gives me too much balsam for my taste, but if applied in a dispersed fashion, the vanilla prevails. Beautiful.

I was kindly given the opportunity by a blogger friend (thank you!) to test a few Atelier des Ors offerings, here are my thoughts on Lune Féline:
The cardamom-dominated opening 30 minutes of Lune Féline on my skin is wonderful! And it makes me want to embark on an olfactory journey to explore more cardamom-prominent perfumes!
The cardamom here is paired with ginger. Together they’re spicy and woody as expected, yet also have sparkles of an almost green freshness. This creates a lovely contrast with the thick, doughy vanilla in the base, still dormant at the moment and not yet having revealed its true power.
10 minutes in, something unexpected but thouroughly enticing happens: besides the spicy woody aspect of cardamom, a salty and somewhat meaty nuance rises as well. Maybe it’s a combined effect of cinnamon, styrax and ambergris accord, of which I’m not entirely sure, but what I know is that it transfoms the aromatic cardamom into a fleshly, even carnal spice like clove and cinnamon sometimes can be as well. There is also a soft fruity spiciness discreetly gaining momentum. Combined with the fuzzy woody texture of various spices and the soft creaminess of the not-yet-awaken vanilla, Lune Féline smells almost like a delectable saffron-cardamom rice pudding!
If Lune Féline contines as such, I might have found my Arkenstone of cardamom fragrance, but as fate would have it, the giant beast of vanilla awakens and scorches the earth into gooey toffee and burnt cotton candy. The syrupy amber also bursts from underneath like molten lava. The combined effect of these two elements is a boozy plum-like amber-vanilla that I struggle with in general, and is reminiscent of the similar syrupy plum aspect in other boozy vanilla such as Guerlain Spiritueuse Double Vanille or Annick Goutal Nuit et Confidences in broad strokes.
Lune Féline then remains as this gourmand boozy vanilla during its long dry down. The woody yet fleshly spices try to make a comeback but never succeed. Occasionally, when the syrupiness softens a little, the woody, slightly powdery vanilla reminds me of vanilla-scented sunflower seed fairly popular in China, as well as a milky chocolate vibe, but the caramelised syrupy amber is still very much present until the end.
Lune Féline has a heavy-to-moderate sillage and an excellent longevity of almost 12 hours.
Because my tolerance of boozy ambery vanilla is fairly low, Lune Féline is too intensely sweet for my personal taste. However, the fleshly cardamom opening is very impressive to my nose, and I think it’s well worth a sniff for a cardamom fan even if one is not so keen on gourmand boozy vanilla. Additionally, I’d also recommend it to those who enjoy boozy, caramelised amber/vanilla in general but would like a more spicy, cardamom-laden variation.

This is a unique take on Vanilla for sure. The opening is where I get the balmy vanilla mixed with cardamom and little bit of spice and wood. The overall mixture adds the dark touch to the Perfume. After some time the spices and cardamom fade away and the vanilla takes the center stage but the Balmy aspect is never completely lost. The Vannila here doesn’t appear to be very sweet like found in some sweet gourmandy type of vanilla heavy fragrances. I couldn’t detect Woody or Green notes clearly but I can feel a touch of Wood.
In simple words it’s a dark balsamic vanilla fragrance that’s slightly more suitable for formal occasions than casual.
From Performance aspect I can say it’s not a beast performer. Projection/Sillage is pretty average and longevity is good 8+ hours but be aware that for most of the time it stays close to you. Although I have to test it in colder months to see if it projects any better.
I believe it’s worthy of sampling or buying a decant but I don’t see myself getting a full bottle so soon, considering the price of it.

OMG! It’s not often a fragrance takes my breath away! This juice is gorgeous and has so many layers to be experienced through it’s journey. It’s a soft sweet gorgeous vanilla to my nose, I can’t stop smelling my wrist. Bottle worthy indeed, if you like gourmand fragrances this one is a MUST try!!!! 9/10

Opening smells like meaty saffron and then an animalic ‘oud’ like note appears and lasts under the vanilla.

Filthy cute. Creme brulee, smoke, something dark. Dessert that has traversed a desert.. Dirty, sweet, mysterious.
Lives up to it’s magical name.

cardamom is the star of this perfume for me – a green-spice combined with warming notes of honey and a whiff of vanilla. this is beautiful – i always get compliments when i wear it. the opening is date-night gorgeous and 12 hours later is a great comfort scent.

    WOW!!
That’s unique , mildly sweet / spicy / balmy and smokey aroma.
not your middle of the road vanilla scent , actually vanilla here is not like spirituous double vanille straight forward sweet. its more a biscuit or cookie like smell.
the cardamon , cinnamon , balsam and ambergris dose give the scent a gourmandy “heavy tea like smell” just to reference few : think of gucci pour homme II or L’AP Tea for Tow.
Highly recommended to someone who looks for a calm scent with a touch of mysterious aroma.
    Cheers.

What a perfect Fall scent! A powerful cardamom with a definite animalic twist, a tinge of smoke. Lovin’ this one. I think either day at the office (warm sweater with a colorful scarf comes to mind) or night out, would work for either.

Starts with smoke and vanilla, drying down to a spicy cookie. Less smoky than I first thought. It doesn’t smell ‘like’ cake, you snell ‘of cake’, it made me terribly hungry. Too foody for me.

What a disappointment this turned out to be. Much too much gourmand-y on my skin. I feel like an impressionable teenager twirling a lock of hair and looking at her feet in a corner of a garden where a bloke is chatting her up. Just no. I prefer my vanilla notes played off by tough, gritty if you like, notes. This did not happen for me with Lune Feline. Much too sweet. And then its longevity. There really should be a rule that if you’re going to slap a fairly hefty tag on a fragrance, make the effort to ensure it lingers for a bit. At least Mr Tom Ford understands this much. Lune Feline disappears on me after 3+ hours to my continuous connsternation. The real tragedy in all of this though is how I allowed myself to be sweettalked into purchasing this. I have a formula for fragrance purchasing which always works for me. Label every tester card sprayed and walk away for 3-4 hours. Keep sniffing and by the time you return you know exactly what you want to buy. Dear Miss-Smiling-Face convinced me to trust her judgement and deviate from that pattern. Not her fault, she was only doing her job. In summary,I am immensely disappointed. Not complex enough,no longevity and much too gourmand-y. My notion of elegance is not smelling like living, breathing créme bruleé.

I mostly get vanilla, cardamom, and cinnamon. This is a very nice fragrance and well blended. Completely unisex too. It reminds me heavily as another review stated Eau Duelle by Diptyque and to add another The Architects Club by Arquiste. Because I own TAC by Arquiste I feel like I can pass on this. If for some reason this became about $100 cheaper than I think it would be a great possibility.
    Eau Duelle 50-100ml – $90-125, Parfum EDP 75ml $145
    The Architects Club 100ml- $190
    Lune Feline 100ml- $275
The fact that all 3 of those scents are so close with the prices being pretty far away justifies not owning this one for me. Also if you do like this fragrance and do not want to shell out the bucks than the other two are a really good option at a much lower price point.

I get benzoin, cardamom and cinnamon. Somehow this mix on my skin smells like some kind of confection or cookie, which is interesting. It’s a good gourmandish vanilla based scent that envelops, and I find it to be very comforting. I would not classify this as animalic or dark at all.
It is, however, a bit overpriced in my opinion. If it were price at $175 or less, I might be interested.
    Scent: 7.5/10
    Longevity: 8/10
    Sillage: 8/10

Scent – cardamon, cinnamon & vanilla musk.
Season/Time of Day – I prefer to use this one in the colder months, day or night.
    Projection – I didn’t get noticed, I didn’t get a compliment.
    Longevity – I get 12hrs consistently.

I think the ambroxan ruins this for me sadly. Ambroxan also ruins Le Labo’s Benjoin imo. I’m not a fan of that synthetic I guess. It tends to take over, at least on my skin. These bottles are gorgeous though with nice heavy (and I believe magnetic) caps and I actually enjoy the gold flecks. I’m going to sample others from the line. Luckyscent is now carrying this brand.
Edit: I’m finding myself reaching for my Lune Feline sample a lot lately & I’m not noticing the ambroxan quite as much. Not sure yet if it’s FB worthy but I’m kind of enjoying it.

Dark and a little “animalic” but only the beginning. Powerful perfume very strong, elegant and spicy. The opening is very strong, the cinnamon is very effective and thus the cardamom..but after a while it softens when they enter the middle notes. In this phase, the fragrance is very intriguing/Dark atmosphere with “animalic” but this time the background, away at the end turns out to be a good perfume with musk and vanilla that “rounded” the other notes…. Overall Perfume definitely, I need to try it again. The sillage is great and very good longevity. Recommended for cold days. I like.
    Sillage: 8./10
    Longevity: 9./10
    Scent: 8.5/10
    Overall: 8.5/10

    b.gracious
Why does it always have to be about the compliments? Isn’t it enough to simply love a frag yourself?

  34. :

    4 out of 5

“Lune Feline” opens wonderful, but within 2 hours there is something so annoying I cannot put my finger on – it’s somehow musty, moldy, but at the same time weirdly dark and oil-like. I do believe that the combination of notes simply does not work for me.
I think the vanilla opening is sublime – elegant and cute + the spiciness of cardamonn and cinnamon is absolutely gorgeous! The first 2 hours in and I was trying to get my hands on information where can I buy this and then the heart/drydown…such a dissapointment!
It did linger for some 12 hours (and a shower by the way!), but it stayed extremely close to skin.

  35. :

    3 out of 5

This has one of the most beautiful openings in a fragrance if you like cardamom as I do. A sweet, yet dry spicy opening led by lovely and persistent cardamom.
The vanilla takes over pretty soon but dances with her partners who keep coming in and out of focus – woods, musks and gentle ambergris. The dance goes on for many hours on the skin, and if you spray a scarf, you’ll be able to bask in a sweet/spicy/golden glow for days.
Yes, it is expensive but I got mine for a reasonable price (in today’s niche standards at least) on the auction site. The bottle is a joy to look at and is heavy and solid. I love it.

  36. :

    3 out of 5

Unexpectedly screechy opening (cedar, woodsy notes, pink pepper). Thankfully, that lasts only for a few minutes then swiftly turns to much nicer, realistic, almost boozy vanilla. As soon as I started to think that’s it, it changes into a really cozy gourmand vanilla interwoven with delicate Play-Doh note (I don’t see heliotrope among notes, so it must be a combination of other notes).
Lastly, the drydown turns back to woody territory which is not a plus in my book.
Nothing remotely close to animalic (feline) impression happens during the whole development, except a touch of ambergris which I find rather distracting and unnecessary. Musk is very present, but with its’ claws retracted, so to speak.
All in all – nice, but nothing new or special that could justify such high price.
Gourmand vanilla fans who don’t appreciate linearity may love this, but for musky animalic vanilla one should look elsewhere (or stick to L’Air de Rien).

IMO it’s similar to Diptique Eau Duelle which I love.

What a beautiful, musky, slightly sweet vanilla. And the bottles so gorgeous with gold flakes floating in the liquid. Excellent stuff! I’m glad I picked up a bottle from Jovoy in Paris ealy January and am really enjoying wearing Lune Feline!
