Who doesn’t like a little citrus in your fragrance? It’s part of the show in many offerings….however…this is straight up orange peels on the skin. IDK…who wants to smell like this for hours??? I get basically no musk at all (well, maybe a bit) due to the all out nostril assault of what smells to be an orange peel bonanza!!! Not impressed…so far I’m not really impressed by this house. I was really hoping for so much more. Still haven’t gotten through all my samples but the only one I’m kinda diggin’ so far is Tobacco Silk.

Ultra realistic mandarin orange peel. Would be a great layering option to add some sharp orange citrus notes but also refreshing its own.

I’m going full Gall(review 4/8). Where’s the real Gallagher when you need him? Somebody please smash this orange!!! I guess anything can pass as a fragrance nowadays. If you ever wanted to bottle the smell of orange rinds then this is for you. To be honest, this was boring…i mean REAL boring!! Luckily the initial orange blast is fleeting minute by minute. I can’t imagine anyone wanting to smell like this especially in a crowded situation. Absolutely nothing unique about Mandarin Silk mainly because this is a smell that can be experienced whenever you peel an orange. One would surmise that the musk is smooth in the drydown but that’s not saying much. The word is drydown. OF COURSE, it’s gonna be smooth during that period. With or without musk, this mandarin note will monopolize your aura.

Summer harvest at an Orangery – if you’ve enjoyed Acqua di Parma’s Arancia di Capri, you must absolutely try Gallagher’s Mandarin Silk. Refreshing, non-cloying fruit that you can’t get enough of. I am fan-girl-ing so hard over this brand right now, they might need a restraining order. 😉
