Description

ssey Miyake is launching two well known editions decorated with green leaves, which celebrate and announce summer. Bluish shades of glass flacon are embellished with large green leaves embracing it and wrapping the bottom part of the bottle and outer cartons. This dynamic and refreshing game of colors represents perfectly the game of aromas offered to us by this composition unselfishly.

Inspiration for the new editions is desert, palms and tranquility. Peaceful regions, full of exotics and warmth will mark the new fragrant duo by Issey Miyake.

Edition for men L’Eau d’Issey Pour Homme Eau de Toilette Pour L’Ete 2012 will delight all fans of the original version, since the original composition is spiced with cardamom and warmed with amber and a fine, woody trail of vetiver.

Available as 125ml edt.

I don’t like the initial smell, very green and make me little bit dizzy. But the dry down smells really good on my shirt and lasted long.
Try not to sniff it close to your nose. Try to spray it on a tissue and put next to your pillow. You will get a nice whiff of it. That’s how you will smell from distance.
I can still smell it on my tissue for 2 days!

Finally my copy is in my hands. Trying this first time… and loving since now!
Very green, very fresh and light, sexy… perfect for a hot day.
Sophisticated! Here’s the word that sums it up! can’t remember another scent similar to that, so this is a lot exclusive. Go ahead and take yours if you like green features =)
    Scent:9/10
    Projection: 7/10
    Longevity: 8/10

This is my first summer fragrance from Issey Miyake’s pour home …
I adore the original … in fact the original Issey is my signature … I always bought a new one if the fragrance near empty … and I tempted to bought this one because of the flacon (I know sound silly) but not just the flacon is designed beautiful but the juicy inside is like a twist from original … you can smell the old formula but I think it’s overall a brand new fragrance … it’s open I think with yes overpowering which I like it and then marine note with the based vetiver kinda mix beautifully. So … my point is if you like the original … I think you will like this too.

I don’t smell any citrus or spices. It just smells bitter.
Like fresh cut grass or eating a green salad.
If you’re looking for a fresh summer fragrance, there are SO MANY better choices out there. I can never choose this fragrance over what’s already available on the market.
    Beautiful bottle though.

What to say ? A very fresh and green citrus with lots of yuzu and sage as well as a hint of sea water/air.
IMO it’s a great happy and fresh smell, very simple, but I just can’t help smiling when I put it on. Indeed, sometimes less is more – especially on a warm summer day. Can seem slightly synthetic, but in this smell it doesn’t bother me at all. I get about 4 hrs+ of longevity from this smiley smell, which is rather fine on warmer days.
The bottle design is really nice as well, you can’t go wrong with this one in spring or summer.

Nice fresh watermelon like summery scent. Sweet roasted cardamon over freshly cut grass, convey sweet fruity watermelon with an ocean water under tone contributing to the citrus burst it secretes through out. Non offensive, clean alternative to ck one summer, no cucumber. Smells very similar to issey miyake

Dry down reminds you of original L’eau D’Issey Pour Homme very fresh minty fragrance. lasts for 5-6 hours and projects for 2 hours within 7-8 inches afer that stays close to skin. Very nice fragrance I have smelled original L’eau D’Issey Pour Homme and this was a blind buy. I am glad I bought this. Mix Azzaro Chrome and Original L’Eau D’Issey Pour Home and you will get this.
If you want longevity buy Original L’Eau D’Issey Pour Homme

opens up just like the original issey at least 85% the same and dry down smells IDENTICAL to the issey sport , i have both issey original and the sport hmm … i guess i didnt have much use for this one then huh !! lol the sport lasts longer than this one i wouldnt recomment gettin that one and using it for summer just caz they smell the same so that makes it a no brainer ,i must say the bottle is beautiful

It opens in a very “Eau D’Issey” way, fresh and ubber citrus. The yuzu mixed with mandarin is quite strong, which is fine with me. But then the marine accords appears and it becomes just a little bit warmer. I like it for daily use, because it’s fresh and light and quite inoffensive to wear at work or the gym. The best of this perfume is the packaging

i have versions from 09 to 11. does 2012 version last like 09.? for me the 201o version and 2011 did last like my 09 did. but for me all are very similar.i noticed 2010 2011 are a bit weaker in all areas, especially 2011.
hope you could give a comparison from the 09 in this 2012. thanks

Stunning beautiful bottle, maybe the best Summer package I’ve seen. It catches your eyes, you wanna touch it immediately when you see it.
But the scent is just so so, a lighter version of the original like always. Longevity is not so good as well.

It opens with a blast of fresh green citrus notes and eventually settles to a pleasant and mild composition which is well blended and comforting. In the dry down original L’Eau d’Issey pour Homme can be seen pretty clearly.
It lasts for 4+ hours but projection is not that good except in the beginning. Pleasant and nice summer scent.
    Overall: 7.5 out of 10.

this was ok on the opening, smelled like hedge clipping or petitgrain plus citrus. But it turned pretty nasty on me after a couple of hours. I think what i don’t like is what they call “sea water”… to me it smells like a fecal smear washed off with strong antibacterial soap.

I have the 2009 version, which is probably the best from summer versions but this version has less “flowery smell” to it…I dont know why i smell this flowery smell in 2009 version.

Totally agree with Alee… It reminds me a lot of the 2009 edition which I loved and cherished….

Great bottle design with blue and green.
Well im a sucker for the original L’Eau d’Issey and in a shop i got a 125 ml of this d’éte version.
I sprayed it on my hand as i totally smelled the same base that the original has, so well i was like… its a good base.
Well i was suprised that its a more fresh and happy version and well done overall.
Therefor also very important for me is its longevity and overall superb projection.
This will be a great companion for long hot summer days!
You will get noticed wearing this as this scent gives the actual wearer and the people smelling this a positive and uncomplicated vibe.
It is “Relax, take it easy sun is shining and life is great” in a bottle.
I have smelled a lot and i love the art of fragrances and we all have to admit that not all fragrances have to be complicated to be enjoyable.
*Please one thing to the team behing marketing of Issey Miyake:
Dont do that marketing crap what CK Summer does every year with all these 20XX summer editions…Be different, break out the chain of mass marketing, leave mainstream and go you own way as you did in 1995!

I was introduced to this fragrance about a month ago. As soon as I sprayed it on my skin I loved it. I usually don’t go for fragrances right out of the bat. Instantly, it was something I wanted to wear. I was surprised that something a sales-person showed me impressed me. I usually fend for myself in finding fragrances because I am usually led to the over-promo’d and generic scents. I love it, I really do. I purchased a bottle and I have been wearing it a lot. It is a SUPER fresh scent and I’ve received many, many compliments on it. Perfect scent for spring/summer. Because it is the 2012 limited I purchased another bottle recently that I will open after I’m through with my current one. I love this, it is perfectly fresh and green. Not to mention the longevity is FABULOUS. Well, well over 8hrs. I seriously recommend this, it is definitely my favourite out of all the Issey Miyake fragrances. Try it before it’s gone! You just might love it.

For all those looking to judge this scent against the 2009 version I can inform you the difference is slight if at all. There’s a change in one note in the drydown and that’s about it. Compared with the 2011 version, this has definitely went for a slightly more floral note the opening along with the yuzu and citrus. The projection is just as good though the longevity is about an hour or so less than the 2009.
I was going to attempt to track down a bottle of the 2009 as mine was nearly empty, but having bought the 2012 version I can put that plan to rest.

I have the 2011 version and will pass on this one. There are other sporty/summery/fresh fragrances that I am much more interested in. And others I have that I want to use over this one.
They say the 2009 edition is the best one, and until I get my hands on that one I will not buy any Issey Miyake summer fragrances.
And the bottle is not very pretty to put it kindly.

I’m sure it’s another slightly different version of the original.
