Description

“Is a gift full of sweetness, comfort and recovered innocence which reminds us of the of inner peace and the sense of well-being, which a cup of hot milk, a butter cookie or the taste of vanilla gave us. An eau de toilette – delicious enough to eat – with the lightness of memories and self-confident. The fragrance titled vanilla milk starts with notes of confiture de lait, a French spread for bread made from milk, sugar ad vanilla, which is especially popular in South America under the name dulce de leche, where it is used as an ingredient for all kinds of culinary temptations. The heart consists of chocolate-balsamic notes of benzoi that, with a base of vanilla and caramel close the circle perfectly.” – a note from the brand.

Lait de Vanille by Chabaud Maison de Parfum is a Oriental Vanilla fragrance for women and men. The fragrance features vanilla, benzoin and caramel.

Love love love! So warm, bakery-sweet and long lasting, despite being an EDT. The bottle is gorgeous too, and is at an excellent price point for being niche.
The vanilla here is light, airy, translucent….I in no way mean it’s not noticeable, it is definitely the main attraction… it’s just light, as if floating on a cloud, effervescent, like something Jean-Claude Hellena would make if he worked for Chabaud. I don’t get any buttery tones, it’s not smothered in cream, not heavy at all. It’s kind of like the steam coming from a hot milky tea – floating on air, a fresh sweet vanilla.

Smells like gentle vanilla. Lasts all day. Seriously 14+ hours. Not strong, but persistent. I like it. The weird ‘candle’ accord mentioned here fades and it becomes pure vanilla, you just have to give it an hour.

I feel that this is a very linear milky scent; as if you are baking some fresh delicacy and mixing the milk with vanilla. Very simple and tasty.
This is one of the best gourmand houses, in my personal opinion.

As soon as I smelled this on myself, I thought of the Body Shop’s Vanilla Oil–the one from the 90’s before it was reformulated, which I wore all through college. That was a warm, pure, true vanilla that was linear and not too sweet.
This is almost identical to that scent, but lighter. While I love a good vanilla, I probably won’t purchase this one unless I have a hankering for some nostalgia.

An absolutely beautiful gourmand delight, linear and beautiful to the end. Great sillage and longevity, too. Reminds me of FSSA Cara.

This is a very interesting vanilla, there is something in it though that Is not mentioned in the mix of ingredients… the dry down smells wonderfull but most like a vanilla candle …I recommend for those in search of a different type of vanilla. Still it is not the perfect one Im looking for.

For the majority of the time, Lait de Vanille was just plain awful. Cheap, dry, and scratchy vanilla. However, the drydown is AMAZING. It’s like a very sweet soy vanilla drink.
I may be the minority here but longitivity and sillage was amazing on my dry skin. Sprayed it 12 hours ago and it’s still going strong!

As a hardcore gourmand lover in winter time, This scent is right up my alley… unfortunately, it’s basically a skin scent. I prefer heavier silage. Too bad because it would have been perfect otherwise. I’m glad I tried before buying on this one.

    Sillage is very poor.

Wow, not a single review, that’s interesting.
The scent is so strongly edible, I kind of think it’s weird. It’s like caramel syrup mixed with vanilla. Literally smells like bakery product.
It’s not even like those cotton candy like scents, it’s on the new level!
    Unbelievably sweet and edible scent!
It’s listed as unisex, but I don’t think it’s suitable for men.
