Mine came from eBay as a part of almost complete Jaguar line for men package, and did not had any lacquered wood box, but has same exact bottle.
It is longest lasting perfume in all Jaguar line, but still barely reaches 8-9 hours lifespan, with last 3 hours being skin scent. But again, Jaguar not exactly known for long lasting fragrances, great projection or strong silage. If I know I’ll need it last longer I would give it 2-3 sprays on my clothes, and it will last 10-12 hours, depending on weather.
It is definitely masculine scent, without being suffocating. Opening is a bit weird, and somewhat not too pleasing for me. I would say smells more like tree bark than wood. But on dry down it gets much better when middle notes come into play, and even more so when base notes getting through.
Projection is moderate, becoming soft after 3-4 hours.
Compliments are interesting with this one. Almost everyone who comes close enough to smell it and is friendly enough to say “oh, you smell nice” every single time. But nobody never told “wow!” or “you smell great!”, or asked what I’m wearing.
