Description

Ibiza is a new fragrance inspired by heavenly nights on the island of Ibiza. Designers of the house had an aim to interpret the essence of intoxicating notes of the island where pleasure rules. Beautiful women, clubs, yachts and crazy parties are characteristic of the island which is one of the most exclusive places both for having rest and fun.

Philosophy of Playboy says that we have life to live it to the full and suggests relaxing and enjoying whenever it is possible. Composition of Ibiza fragrance reflects glow of luxurious life and charming man surrounded with girls at a private party in one of luxurious villas.

Top notes are luminous and fresh, composed of lemon, kiwi, mineral water and currant. A heart of the composition incorporates lavender, tarragon, artemisia and green leaves, while a base adds black tea, suede, beech and nutmeg.

Flacon of Ibiza Playboy is coloured in blue and reminds us of turquoise sea water of the Mediterranean. Its colour contributes to magical atmosphere surrounding the Baleares. The flacon features a black ribbon with a bunny – symbol of Playboy, which also decorates other four fragrances by Playboy. The fragrance is available as 50 ml EDT, 100ml after shave and 150ml body lotion.
Ibiza was launched in 2009.

im very very interested to try this one. Its strange that people say it resembles bvlgari aqva and at the same time Hugo Boss… those are 2 WAY different scents, BUT….. both of those colognes, I LOOVE!!! Hugo Boss is a beautiful kind of spicy/fresh scent and bvlgari aqva is one of the best aquatic scents ever in my opinion. So if IBIZA is a combination of those 2, i want to try this really bad

Ibiza has a strong resemblance to BVLGARI AQVA , that sharp bitter dry saltiness is same in both scents ,except that ibiza is much more synthetic.

Hmmm…. so now a scent like this is why I do first initial reviews and reviews after a few wearings.
So when I first tried this initial wearing this was extremely sharp, synthetic and extremely cheap smelling and I honestly hated this scent. But then tried it 3 months later and now I really enjoy it. I know with some fragrances if you spray them and let the air get in the bottle some scents can change slightly and I’m guessing that’s the case with Ibiza.
Today when I tried opened up very fresh and soapy, very green and actually very smooth and it kind of had a calming effect as well. Today when I tried it on my skin it smelled very similar to Irish spring soap ! And I’ve always wanted a scent like that
Performance was actually really good with this as it lasted me 8 hours and projected very well for 2 hours ! My favorite scents from the playboy line are still Malibu and Hollywood but this is still a very solid scent from this line that I will be using a lot more in the future.
Overall rating— 7.25 out of 10 !!! Great soapy scent that’s easy on the wallet

To me, this one smells almost the same as Nivea Sensitive Cooling Aftershave Lotion, which I use. Well… they also cost almost the same.
Not fruity nor sweet, but a soapy scent.

I just did a dab sampling so I’ll have to report back, but I don’t detect anything offensive, such as too much calone, “laundry musk,” nor dihydromyrcenol (at least once you get beyond the top notes). It’s a little this and a little that, the note pyramid more or less close, but it isn’t strong and it’s rather soft (which is my preference in this sort of composition). I’ve never tried the Boss scent that this one is compared to, but I see no reason to spend more on something that I’d likely perceive as harsh. This is a very nice composition, good for casual situations, school/office, etc., and better for warm to moderate temperatures. I also like the drydown of London Playboy and I should be getting Hollywood soon. At about $5 or less for 100 ml, these are about as good a value as one can get when buying new from a major retailer.
UPDATE: I finally tried Hugo (“vintage”) and I agree with the reviewer who said these two are similar. Ibiza seems less dense and more of an aquatic, and better for hot, humid weather. To me, Hugo is too middle-of-the-road, whereas Ibiza is more unique, in terms of what I own, so I would wear Ibiza rather than Hugo, but only for hot weather.

I remember when I used to pass by the Playboy fragrances thinking: “My God, what a disgrace for the perfume community!”…without even trying any of them.
And then, one day I tried Malibu and I was blown away. It smells great, I get more compliments than when I wear other more expensive fragrances and the price is unbeatable!
So now is the time for Ibiza.
The first notes are a mix of fresh kind of minty (maybe I get that from the tarragon and citrus or the kiwi combined) and some aquatic notes in the background.
Then it becomes smooth and warm with the musk and wood and yet the drydown becomes fresh again.
It’s a fresh fragrance, for some reason (maybe because of the name “Ibiza”) it gives me a “carefree” type of feeling, as if I’m strolling around the island enjoying the beauty, the sun, the wonderful Mediterranean sea and forgetting about the world.

An ordinary summer scent, for me the water notes are dominant, I enjoy the scent quite often while it is not sth unique or extraordinary…if fact, when you smell it for the first time you may think you have smelled many scents like this before.. However considering the low price it has acceptable quality and longevity

Well, when I went to P-Spot they were out, so I had to wait! Now Thanks to Nattonline I have a BIG bottle (Thanks Man!) and I love it…
Yes, it is caloney and fresh and light…but I like it better than Malibu for sure! This begins with a watery and clear fruity feel like a refreshing summer drink at the beach. I’ve never been to Ibiza, but I imagine it is just like this: fresh, nautical and light with clear blue waters and some awesome beaches! The heart of this (much to my surprise and joy) is more bitter and green with a lush vegetal accord and a fresh lavender note, this is more than aquatic, it is greenish and warmly floral! The basenotes are light and not really all that heavy. The nutmeg is smooth (as usual) and sweetly spicy, the tea keeps this clean and clear and the suede gives it a very soft finish without the skin muskiness. The wood is light and very generic. Overall the finish is dry and clean with some warmth. No classic or must have, but very nice-and a great scent for summer days when you do not want to overpower anyone…
    Sillage: okay
    Longevity: decent
    Overall: 3.5/5
Love may be too strong a word, I do like it very much due to the fact it is not JUST aquatic and fresh, but warm and green as well. Just the thing for a midsummer escape when you can’t really get away! Not worth 45 dollars for a FB, but for under 10 bucks on eBay-it’s a steal!!
5 down, one to go! Next stop: Playboy New York…

This is the only Playboy Press to Play scent I DO NOT own, so naturally it is one I really want.(I am after all a collector)…
Malibu is the blue of the Atlantic but it appears this is the clear Carribean blue. I’m ordering it from P-spot on payday…fingers crossed. It looks like it would be a cross between CW and Nautica’s Latitude/Longitude with a fruity twist. More will be revealed…

Another clone of Hugo. On my skin, decent lasting and sillage, but Hugo is better. In any case, this is good considering it’s low price.
