GRENATS is very musky, unbearably musky for me. Thankfully it lasted only 3 hours, so I did not have to suffer too long.
It’s not that I HATE musk, but I seem to dislike perfumes in which musk is paired with notes that shouldn’t be paired with musk. Well now I know that for one it’s angelica – the combo for me is suffocating and resembling a bit Secretions Magnetifiques (yes, I do really mean it). I was almost determined to scrub it off before I remembered that it’s not nice to judge the perfume after it’s opening. The heart part became more tolerable – musky, sour, cold fruits, very shy. Dry down was an hour of musky berries a bit similar to MpG “Eau de Mure”.

YUM!! Pomegranates, Angelica & Musk! I don’t get the other notes listed but what I do get is absolutely delicious and very, very feminine. This is the first perfume big on Angelica that I’ve worn and I have to say, I am obviously a BIG fan of that note. So floral, so fresh, so prominent yet so gentle.
Silage and projection are quite impressive – and I can see easily wearing this one all year round. There is something so comforting and warm about this scent and I’m really enjoying my little decant 🙂 Thanks to the lovely Fragrantica member for allowing me to try this, it is gorgeous xo

Doesn’t smell like pomegranate, green apple, or much of anything really. It starts with a bitter lemon and angelica note, slides into canned peaches, tin and all, before getting cheap fast and fuzzing out into nothing. I wouldn’t wear Grenats if you paid me to. For a better version of the same theme, go for Creed Spring Flower instead. It’s more complex and exhibits better movement and longevity. Keiko Mecheri disappointed me with this one.

Cool and a little dark. I get an aquatic, summery feel from Grenats. I definitely get the pomegranate scent, and it’s subtle – but I think that’s a good fit. This really reminded me of Burberry Brit Sheer, but with a bit of pomegranate added in.
Not a statement maker, but close to the skin, and almost like a room-scent. Probably would be a good bed-time scent; I found it calming.

On first application, for me, this was an overwhelmingly cheap-smelling, generic, chemically floral blast. I can’t name the flower because I’m still working on recognizing different floral notes, but it definitely wasn’t anything good. Gross!
About 30 mins later the nasty floral has drawn back. It’s a very soft scent now, sitting very close to my skin. Pomegranate skin mixed with quiet florals, soft citrus, a musky, soft feel, soft, soft, soft. If I had to describe Grenats in a single word, that would be it: soft. It’s slightly orange-sweet, but not really. Whatever flowers and pomegranate make up the main part of this for sure.
Overall, Grenats isn’t bad, really, but it’s boring and generic and oh-so-shy. You’d have to be right up close to smell it at all once it progresses beyond its horrendous opening. I don’t really dislike this, but I feel it isn’t worth the price.

I was quite surprised as this started off on my nose as hyacinth – strong, strong hyacinth but after about 30 mins that started to fade into the pomegranate, angelica and rose combination – not so in my face (or up my nose!!!!) but definitely not a shrinking violet.
I love the pomegranate in this (it’s not as dark as Jo Malones) and I think it is the rose and angelica that lightens the whole scent! I can’t find any citrus and the musk for me has taken a back seat – there but not quite there!
This is the second time I have worn this perfume and the same thing happened both times – after many hours I thought it had worn off it suddenly comes back with a bang! The first time I had tested it whilst I had Maroussia on and as that is a big scent I thought it was that and sniffed my wrists only to discover it was the Grenats on my arm! Now, once again this has happened – have had on since early morning and it is now 1pm and suddenly this perfume has acquired a new lease of life!
Silage for me with Grenats is very strong – and obviously long, long lasting! I would take this as a summer scent I cannot see it working over winter! I like this very much but I’ll have to try a few more times before I can say love! I bought mine off ebay along with peau de peche for £51 – both full bottles – so, for me this is a win-win!!

What a lovely and unique composition! On me it starts out as musky, citrusy, pomegrantey, w/the sandalwood hanging out in the background. It’s also delightful and not in the least overwhelming. Nice trick w/all of that coming at you at once.
It very quickly starts to morph into a pomegranate w/light citrus. The musk really backs off and the sandalwood goes back to the base where it belongs.
For me the angelica creates a nice bite w/out actually attacking my surroundings. Then out of the blue…..I swear I can smell grapefruit! Turns out that this is just one of it’s many transitions on it’s way to becoming what it was meant to be~pomegranate.
A really nice alternative to your usual citrus choices. It’s incredibley well done and I’ve yet to smell anything quite like it. Perfect for summer! Not something you’ll smell on everyone else. Definately unexpected and there’s no doubt that it’s expensive.
I can see everyone from a teenager to a beautifully matured woman finding this appropriate. Well done!!

For a perfume dedicated to the pomegranate, Keiko Mecheri GRENATS sure is heavy on angelica. Rather by chance I was wearing SCARLETT earlier today, which features both pink pepper (baies roses) and angelica, and managed to totally overwhelm me with herbalia. I already have pink pepper issues, and conjoined with angelica, it was really all too much. (I am not spaghetti sauce; I am a human being…) So I was rather unpleasantly surprised when, after an oh-so-brief flirt with dark fruitiness upon initially donning GRENATS, what must be GMO-sourced angelica erupted and mushroomed to take over the perfume. Huge sillage and Murphy’s Law longevity all over again.
After these two experiences, I think it’s safe to say that angelica is not my favorite note. Or perhaps I simply overdosed and need to take GRENATS up again once my cells have been purged of the last traces of angelica and baies roses from my trying experience earlier today. In any case, if you happen to be enamored of angelica, then by all means, give GRENATS a big sniff–but don’t expect much pomegranate!

This smells remarkably like real pomegranates nothing artificial nor chemical about it. That said, I don’t sense even faintly, any of the other notes, just lovely fresh promegranates.

I really like the fruity notes…
    Pomegranate and Mandarin Oranges yum!
The rose in this fragrance is subtle ..
    quietly hidden …but there …
I really wanted this to be a fun
    “Summer Time” Fragrance
Juicy…full of body and character ..
    like “Island Kiss by Escada”
it just settles a bit tooo soft …
    for my tastes…
    and suddenly then vanishes…
A bit too quiet and reserved for me …
Perhaps I should try her other fragrance …”Wild Berries”
