Super fresh and natual. What a masterpiece, but the price is ridiculous.

Extremely minimalistic and boring. Smells like every other basic Neroli/Citrus fragrance. Not one person alive would think this was an expensive fragrance based off smell alone if it weren’t inside that Creed bottle. I was hoping to be wow’d after reading the list of notes but you don’t smell the majority of what’s in here other than the Neroli and citrus (mainly Neroli).

This is a recent new addition to my collection & it is absolutely brilliant. It smells very fresh, clean. It starts off with a slight burst of mandarin and bergamot and then slowly develops with a floral background. This is a great unisex fragrance that is in the middle & does not lean in the direction of being too feminine, it is just right. It’s a great spring and summer fragrance and I am using it more during the summer days as it works hard on my skin in the hot summer days.
It comes at a high price, but is worth it in my opinion.
    EDIT:
I have now had the chance to give this a few wearings and I can say that it is better than “Nio” by Xerjoff. Nio had been a favorite of mine for the last couple of years and was my go to, in the hot weather. Now Jardin d’Amalfi shall be the new King. Jardin d”Almafi by the great house of Creed. I still love “Nio” but not as much as Jardin d”Amalfi…

This juice is magical. First few minutes will trick you but give it a few… sit back & enjoy the ride down luxury Blvd!! The sights are spectacular… You’ll hit mandarin street, which was the longest of all, but once you hit bergamot Ave, crossed by cedar, you’ll run right into rose blvd!! GLORIOUS… Then you’ll come up to apple ave, take that left and you’ll see vetiver!! There you’ll be on white musk valley but be forewarned, don’t blink or else you’ll miss cinnamon court!!!
WHAT A RIDE!!! NOT TOO OVERPOWERING & WORTH THE TRIP!!!!

I bought a 250ml bottle today and I am in love with this. Frankly speaking, the initial scent was not that pleasant. When I sprayed it on a test strip and my wrist, it smelt like dusts and it was very very weak. I didn’t know what to think. However, in 15 – 20 minutes, it started projecting a bit with very pleasant scent with floral and mild sweet notes. The scent was subtle and luxurious. The longevity and projection are 7 out of 10, but it is still the best creed product hands down.

Probably one of the best fragrances that I have ever smelled in all my 5 or 6 years of being a “frag head”.
On the surface – yes- it’s TOM FORD’s Neroli Portofino OR in more bargain basement terms- Mugler Cologne.
But what separates MAN from BEAST is the subtle and beautiful spin on the recipe with the highest end ingredients possible.
I understand the price tags. Am I happy about the price tags? NO way Jose! LOL! But I guess I understand.
Hopefully I can buy a decant off eBay for $40.00 and treasure it. I could never afford a full bottle @ $500.00.
Like most CREEDS this one starts off like a euphoric star spangled banner — sticks around for an hour…then sheepishly turns into a skin scent. But the skin scent will last for 2 or 3 more hours.

  8. :

    5 out of 5

Call me crazy but this reminded me of Mugler Cologne. It’s very exotic, green and prickly.
    Not for me.

I am surprised that poeple found similarities with Animale Sport. I was really hoping that it was a substitute to this extremely expensive perfume. Light Bleue for woman shares similiarities, but I do not know of anything else that could replace it. It is a magnificient scent. Too bad it is so expensive…

  10. :

Yep, this is one of the greatest fresh fragrances out there, and performance is great.
It does not smell very original. It’s like a hybrid of Acqua di Parma Fico di Amalfi, and Tom Ford Neroli Portafino.
It has a nice fruitiness like Fico di Amalfi. I like the tangerine and green apple accord, then you have that traditional cologne vib, bergamot, Neroli, musc, with a little bit of a woody base.
I wouldn’t purchase this unless I was a millionaire. I have fragrances like Dior Cologne, Neroli Portafino, MFK Petit Matin, which do the same job.
I will some day get Creed Spice and Wood, that’s a classy fragrance that has a nice freshness, that would justify more the price.

To me it’s like Versace Dreamer and Xerjoff Kobe had a baby. A bit like grape Pez….but I make it sound terrible. I actually like it.

I fell in love with this scent
Wonderfully crafted, the definition of PLEASANT
But the projection is just too weak for the asking price ! :(((

  13. :

This is a fantastically classy unisex fragrance. It’s natural, complex and its density adds a good longevity and projection to this captivating fragrance.
This starts with a slightly-sweet, natural smelling array of citrus–supported by a hint of rose and neroli. In my opinion, aside from the addition of musk and a tinge of cedar, this fragrance doesn’t progress much. I’m fine with that, considering how beautifully this opens.
    Niche smell, niche price.
Longevity is about 6-8 hours, with excellent projection for 2-2.5 hours.

Just ok for me.. But the real reason im posting this is.. *psst* *motions you over* I have a 30ml decant of this if you are in the US and I would reaaaaaaaaaaally like to get rid of it if you catch my drift. Please buy it off me! Thanks lol

I love it. Unfortunately, my wife says it reminds her of a 12 year old girl. We found out that it is because it reminds her of the Clinique Happy perfume that she used to wear when she was a young girl…

One of the most natural scents of all times comparable in idea to Xerjoff Nio but alongwith quality it has the advantage of persistance. The soft bergamot topped by ripe juicy sweet mandarin supported so well with shadow of orange blossom leaves. Pink pepper and vetiver softly provide cultured crispiness. The longevity is remarkable with a intimate projection. Probably my no.1 Creed at the moment. Not sure if the high price is for the perfume itself or the exclusivity.

  19. :

    5 out of 5

    Green citrus peppery.
I was actually expecting a lot more citrus. I mean, mandarin and lemon are there but somehow the pepper takes over. It’s interesting.
The start is alright but slowly it becomes better, more rounded as if the notes finally are synchronized.
The drydown is much better, the musk and vetiver bring some cleanliness and understated sophistication to the whole fruity composition.
I don’t find it groundbreaking or innovative but if the longevity is as good as with most Creed fragrances, then I will keep it in mind.

  20. :

    5 out of 5

Jardin Amalfi is very fresh citrus floral and that though done well. There is a clear note of mandarin and lemon which cannot be missed.
I would like to add that this is a good summer fragrance but not justified for the price tag. Designer like Issey Miyake would be a better option.
    Longevity 5/10 🙁
    Projection 6/10

Really like this stuff for a woman. I would love it if my girlfriend wore this, but there is no way I am paying that much for it! Very overpriced, maybe ill get a decant.
It’s a fruity and green scent. I reminds me of a very lush area in the spring or summer time. I imagine being surrounded by luscious fruit trees. Really beautiful. Performance is adequate.
    7/10

A fantastic fragrance for my mind; the tangerine is really very nice indeed. It manages to be powerful, yet also light and fragile at the same time.
I’ve never been to the Amalfi Coast, but if it smells like this, it’s a must visit!

    it’s a good fragrance for summer…classified as a Citrus fragrance ..
It’s open with fruits, flowers ,mandarin, bergamot, lemon, pink peppe
    Longevity is moderate to good
    projection is pretty good
    wonderful scent,unisex
    great job creed

I don’t usually associate Creed with quality. In fact, I think 90% of their products are grossly overpriced considering the amount of synthetics they use.
But not this one.. Oh boy this is something unreal. Delicate, refined and simply stunning!
I imagine the most beautiful girl in the world, running through a field of flowers, she is wearing a light floral dress and has a smile that is unforgettable. Beautiful, elegant and simply contagious. The sun is out, the mood is bright.
Her scent is ever so light, yet lingers in the summer air. A perfect balance of citrus and florals with a touch of white musk, trailing behind her. But this musk is unlike any I have ever put my nose to.
This is a perfume for the girl of your dreams. I wouldn’t dare to wear it myself. But if I find her..

I know what I like and what I would buy… sniff sniff… if it was cheaper… This is so beautiful. I have Love in White that I love too, but ok it costs 400 euros less. I bought this carded sample from Creed and this is the best of the 5 Royal. People are comparing it to Light Blue…. helllllooooo, no way. I had Light Blue and it has citrus all right but that is where the common thing begins and stops. In fact I have JdA on my wish list and I will wait till Creed decides to sell it in a 30ml bottle :). Oh well you never know…

  26. :

    3 out of 5

This is a great fragrance from the house of Creed. Very fruity, syrupy sweet as in Acqua Fiorentina, however it mello’s out. Jardin d’Amalfi does remind me of two fragrances: Dolce & Gabbana Light Blue and Bahiana Maitre Parfumeur et Gantier. Both of these are phenomenal fragrances in their own right. I think this is a unisex fragrance…men don’t be alarmed i.e. surprised! Overall, a great fragrance to have, if you already have either of the aforementioned, I wouldn’t pay for a name only!

Trust creed to create good summer scents!
Jardin D’Amalfi is perhaps one of my favorite summer fragrances and one of those that I’ll definitely repurchase.
An ideal summer scent, JdA opens with a beautiful combination of bergamot and orange that transports you to Amalfi itself. The citrus notes are very natural and refreshing, (makes me wish every summer scent smelled as exquisite as this) and supported by a neroli-rose combination, bringing to mind an exquisite garden right during the onset of spring, with the flowers blooming and freshness all around.
As mentioned below in jhitt793’s review, the rose is the star ingredient for me- always in the background, never overpowering and giving just a short glimpse of itself from time to time.
Everything in this speaks quality, from the initial spray to the final few minutes on skin. Sets the benchmark for me in terms of citrus themed scents.
Performance wise, I’m happy with the performance I’m getting from this -being a citrus scent, 7 hours is more than enough for me to enjoy.
Initial projection is loud, has a good sillage and soon mellows down to a small but lingering scent bubble.
    Quality!

I got a sample of this and tried it before looking at the price. I was immediately struck by the authenticity of the fruit notes. It was like cutting open fresh fruit, warm from the tree. It opened up with a burst of fine quality citrus then settled into a lovely orchard blend of apple and grass. Really refreshing and summery. And then I looked at the price. Gulp! At least it proves I have a nose for quality!
As beautiful as it is, it’s probably a bit too feminine for me to wear very often so I’ll keep that sample bottle tucked away for a breezy summer day when it will be just perfect.

  32. :

a feelgood scent with solid duration and good sillage.. atough blast of neroli and tangerine with a drydown centered on a woody rose.. high price but very good quality!

  33. :

    3 out of 5

Jardin d Amalfi is a journey itself. It takes you to a journey of freshness. Extraordinary quality makes you feel you are in a garden full of fresh greenness and flowers with mild wind blowing along and the breeze bringing along all the freshness possible in the world. Orange, neroli, apple and Rose all are prominent notes for the first few hours and later is joined by some woods and musk for the rest of the lifespan.
Longevity is moderate to good and projection is pretty good for the first 1-2 hours and then mellows down to a skin scent.
If you are looking out for a quality in your frags and not a beast performance follower than this stuff is made for you.
I give it a 9/10 only because i think that for many the price wont be justified because its not a great performer.
Brilliance written all over this lovely frag. A must try for any frag head.

this is a very morning fragrance, blast of flowers and citrus in very likable way,non alcoholic here and this the secret.
you can imagine that you are sitting in the garden in spring time while the smell of the flowers and fruits are whiff every 5 minutes, great job creed no one did the same idea which you done.
    lasting for 8 hours maximum.
    overall:9/10.

  35. :

    5 out of 5

Not really impressed with this one.
it opens with the obvious, a citris blast that mainly smells like lemon with a tinge of Bergamot. The bergamot keeps it that bit more interesting that just…LEMON.
In the air though, if I waft it from my wrist it smells much smoother, and the tangerine is making it;s appearance. I like it when it’s in the air.
The dry down is where this scent loses me, everything starts to smell a little bit muddled. I’m nor sure if that’s a good thing and the work of a master perfumer? or a bad thing.
I don’t get any rose OR apple OR any of the other notes listed in the base. It becomes a peppery jumble of…well..I don’t know.
It has a nice lasting power and I really like the clean tones it gives when it’s wet but overall, not a huge fan!
    🙂

This smells exactly like a fruit called, (guess?), Rose Apple! (scientific name- Syzygium samarangense). I wonder if the creator was inspired by this fruit.
The tart rose accord is undeniably fresh and calming. I find this to be very feminine though. My dab-on sample lasted 5-6 hours on my wrist. But the price point is just too high to justify a purchase.

I got superbbbbbb fresh with this. Love this scent but too expesive.

  38. :

    4 out of 5

A lot of mixed reviews here. I will throw in my 2 cents. I get mainly neroli, tangerine and vetiver. Unisex is appropriate as the woody notes are hardly detectable. It reminds me of a few Atelier scents, Grand Neroli comes to mind. I wonder why would they name this to their exclusive line? It’s a simple likable scent but the price tag is ridiculous! To add, it stays very close to the skin. For those reasons it’s a dislike for me.

  39. :

    5 out of 5

I’m getting disappointed with Creed. They try to sell many of their fragrances as unisex, but let’s face it, they’re for men after the 10 minute top note fades. Test for at least a few hours before purchase.

  40. :

    5 out of 5

@FTW: thank you for the input….., I’m wavering on this one whether I should buy it or not. I’m curious how you’d compare it to Tom Ford’s Mandarino Di Amalfi?!?! Both quality scents 4 SURE!!!

  41. :

    5 out of 5

With this one I get primarily white floral, vetiver and pink pepper. It is a wonderful scent that is straight down the middle unisex. It has some interesting contrasts and I enjoy wearing it.
    My Score: 8.5

Citrus…flowers, very beautiful and fresh o the feminine side for sure. Good sillage, I cant imagine a man wear this but a great work from the Creed house

The following review is really for my notes only, its very brief and leaves out a ton of details. Im just typing something that I remember each by. Im sure I will disrespect someones favorite fragrance too.
I was disappointed in this one. All these amazing reviews and I was let down. Nice cologne vibe. That’s all I got.

  44. :

    3 out of 5

Such a beautiful fresh citrus. In fact, the best citrus I’ve ever encountered. It has an icy breeze within it – the word Freon comes to mind – THAT cool. Perhaps this chilly waft is from the vetiver and cedar. Almost frosty. It’s nice on a hot summer day. I imagine ice cubes chinking in a bright sparkling glass of citrus.

  45. :

    5 out of 5

A great summer floral bouquet with a spicy citrus undercurrent. The Bulgarian rose is the star of this fragrance and blends beautifully with the lusciousness of French apple. I am in love with the amazing citrus amalgam (tangerine, bergamot) and with the inclusion of the spicy pink pepper berry note. It seems to balance out the velvety smoothness imparted by the rose, giving it a much needed roughness and edge. Vetiver from Haiti and Virginia cedar give a woody backdrop to the entire show. Again Olivier Creed mesmerizes my senses with his astounding gifts as a master of perfume artistry. It amuses me that the conceptual idea behind this fragrances was a modern dance performance by American dancer Isadora Duncan in 1927…. The first time I smelled its beauty, all I could think of was “Bravo”! (70)

Just have tested it , who wants save money and love the scent the cheaper alternative is Sergio Tacchini With you .

  47. :

    3 out of 5

A nice summery scent. It has citrus, it’s floral. It reminded me of a garden, hence the name “Jardin.” A light fragrance. Great for day time. Lasting power? It could’ve been better, not a lot of depth in this one. Try it.

  48. :

    4 out of 5

Very citrus and fruit heavy (a much more complex array of fruits than in most of Creed’s more simpler fresh fragrances), but the top notes, which stay throughout are the focus here (moreso than the heart or base). It may take some time to adapt to such a trumpeting yet smooth and elegant blast of citrus, but you will soon appreciate it’s alluring beauty.
Extremely versatile (wearable by any one of any age). Longevity and projection are good (not bad or great). And it’s very original.
This is one of the better Creeds out there, but there are better Creeds (I like GIT, Aventus, MI and SMW a bit better, but this does come close). Though for most people, for one reason or another, this will not be worth the very high asking price, but collectors may want to at least get a decant if they can.
Still, great quality fragrance if you can afford it!

as a big creed fan, most of their scents i think wow , something special, but i get a sniff of this and i think wholly shit they did it again, has to be one of the best citrus scents i have come across, just beautiful.. well done creed..very special.. i gotta save some money!
wow!! a mouth watering fragrance..lol… i mean not every scent they make i fall in love with , but most of them i have appreciation for all their efforts seems as though most of their scents will fall into the love category and this is no exception..maybe there should be a category for really love it.

Some of the reviews here… I mean man, come on come on. What kind of taste you have guys? I dont think it s a any good if you call this masterpiece ordinary.
This is by far the most beautiful summer citrusy very refreshing bergamot and lemon scent ever.
This scent is just out of this world, Yes Creed has done it again after 250 years later. Expensive? Well it is but its worth every single penny.

  51. :

    4 out of 5

Although this fragrance is classified as a Citrus, my least favorite group, Jardin d’ Amalfi is quite tolerable to my nose. This is not a bitter, sharp, migraine inducing citrus but a sweet, fresh, low profile citrus with energetic qualities.
I’m going to take a leap here and wager that the Amalfi tangerine, a note I am not very familiar with, is the culprit that allows me to enjoy this unique aroma. It seems like a vanilla plant cutting was grafted onto an orange tree and produced an amazing fruit flavor similar to that of an orange-cream popsicle.
The vetiver is not very prominent but it does give the musky creaminess an added boost. Nice and light but smooth and creamy. Whipped cream meets Orange Sorbet. If you mix Orange Juice, Milk, and 43 liquor, it makes an alcoholic beverage with the name Dreamscicle. That’s what I’m wearing!

  52. :

    3 out of 5

I think it is green foral fruity citrus scent. It is the best mixture that I have never seen. Rose is rather prominent but I smell of the fruity at the same time. Citrus and Spicy scent are nice on the top, although living in short time, they make me impressive. Some cedar and vetiver support the fragrance to be rich and make me feel royal and luxurious as upper class. Longevity is o.k., it’s about 8 – 10 hours and moderate sillage on me. Best for spring and summer

  53. :

    3 out of 5

A truly beautiful scent, very natural smelling and clean – I get a slightly soapy vibe. On my skin I get mostly rose and neroli. The neroli is a bit like the neroli in Tom Ford’s Neroli Portofino – very bright and summery. While the rose note is a watery kind of rose (I cant think of a better way to describe it), it kinda reminds me of a rose apple and not a rose petal.
The scent is definitely unisex – in the same category as Creed’s MI, without the longevity issue. I get a solid 6-8 hours of moderate to good projection and then it becomes a skin scent.
Some have said that JDA is very similar to D&G light blue . I do see the similarity however only in the later stages of the dry down. JDA is so natural smelling you really can’t compare it to Light Blue.
    Final score = 8.5/10.

  54. :

    4 out of 5

This fragrance has three main acts, the first act on application is the bergamont, lemon and a really nice realistic tangerine note. This then leads into the heart of the scent with a beautiful neroli and rose whilst still having the fruit notes lingering. I have to say the neroli in this scent is heavenly. The final act comes in the basenotes where you get a musky vetiver with cinnamon and ambergris with the neroli lingering.
And after seven/ eight hours thats what I’m left with now is a lovely ambergris and neroli just projecting lightly off me.
A huge thumbs up from me with this one as it does smell incredible and the neroli is of the best quality I have ever smelled.

  55. :

    3 out of 5

Fantastic! Not even close to D&G Light Blue.

  56. :

    5 out of 5

By the reviews going around the internet, I would have thought this scent would be the be all and end-all,,,
Actually, I am in total agreement with the 1st reviewer.
So I was excited when it came, but sigh; it’s not quite. I agree with the persons stating similarities with D&G Light Blue, however it’s certainly an improvement. But is this enough for $200 dollars extra? No.
In the end- I was disappointed at its linearity, especially considering that price-tag. You will be shocked!
It is superlative quality of materials as we expect from the House, but I really feel Creed should have offered more – far more. Bad points in summary- it’s tame, lacks flair and intensity, and missing that something magical.
I’m aware this is meant to be about the fruits of a Ornate garden, but still Luxury woods are startlingly absent here, something this scent really could benefit from. Spices also are quite lacklustre. Cinnamon and pink pepper, if they’re at all there are very low-key indeed! Not even any vanilla to add some weight and more natural sweetness; poor effort for this budget.
Instead it just remains as linear, soft tangerines/musks. Again, just not good enough.
I get a prominent orange blossom/herbal citrus at the start that is very airy and transparent. Refreshing, but the scent lacks an edge, I would have certainly preferred a little more sweetness and boldness.
It almost but doesn’t quite sparkle off top, rather very subtle and steady in it’s projection. Some neroli, some clementines. No lemons! And more tangerines.
Good quality bergamot is quite clear here too with the tangerine, but not a good note for me really. Not so much apple/cinnamon would suggest an apple pie gourmandy vibe, but not quite so. I really like the musk, but sadly even more let down again by absence of Creed’s Royal ambergris. I really thought this would have much benefited from! Sorry people, have to move on.
It certainly is leagues ahead of Creed’s own Royal Water (horrible!), but sadly still disappointed as for this Princely sum you should be getting a little more vibrancy, sparkle and flair from the House. But it’s one of the highest quality blends on the market today, and smells quite Royal in itself!
That said, I’m a total sucker for Creed’s Quality lately especially their recent blends. I’m not sure how they do it but the finesse of materials the House use virtually are 2nd to nobody.
    Scent: 5/10 (factoring in price),
    Quality: 10/10, exquisite.

This is a very nice scent. Very clean, but the sales person at Bergdorf told me that it was Orange Blossom, not Mandarin….hmmmmmmm. I would consider this a summer fragrance as it is a clean citrusy fragrance. A couple of men were buying this scent for themselves. I recall that this scent will be available on November 5, 2011, and once it sells out, that is it. I did not notice this on the Creed website, so I am not sure if this is a sales ploy or what as the salesman did not know the difference between Orange Blossom vs. Mandarin……Bergdorf is take presale orders now. Check it out.
