Geber is the second Hadarah fragrance I bought from its exclusive collection, and it is an elegant and sophisticated tribute to the OUD. After its initial explosion of animalistic darkness, a warm cover of mature elegance begins to be glimpsed through flashes of citrus, fruity and spicy notes emerging from the initial obscurity (Bergamont,Pineapple & Pink Pepper I guess). And then, after a few minutes in which you already think that the calm was reached after the initial storm, the magic occurs: notes of Patchouli and Jazmin begin to play their role enhancing the always present Oud,and returning the perfume to its initial intensity, but now in a much more elegant and sophisticated way, far from that animalistic opening. That’s when you start to realize that you have a jewel of perfumery in your hands, that’s when you begin to feel like Lawrence of Arabia on the back of a camel wrapped in a halo of mysterious elegance. If that was not enough, after two hours of wonderful intensity, little by little Geber begins to transform into a refined and stylish blend of Amber, Musk and Vanilla with the ever present Oud, lasting almost all day on my skin.
