This stuff does initially smell like aventus by Creed. But the bottle is so cheap that the writing falls off of it after a while. And the juice inside gets rancid after a year. Save your money and go big if you want to smell like Creed

A nice fragrance. Not so fruity that its feminine.

Has both elements of Creed’s Aventus and Spice and Wood. A surprisingly nice fragrance for an affordable price.

If we put to the side the comparison with Aventus, this is an amazing fragrance.

Chris Adams Dreamz Man is a new kid on the block in terms of Aventus clones. Beautiful bottle and presentation. Aventus or CDNIM, it isn’t, but it’s a respectable representation for less than £10!

    Well…
It is a clone of Creed Aventus, we all know that.
Smells very similar… but there something really wrong…
After an hour starts smelling… sweet-cheap.
It is very hard to explain (this scent), but is a sweet-flowery note that in some way stinks, like cheap perfume.
    … yes is cheap…
do not expect compliments from this fragrance.
i use it as a bathroom spray.

This was the first clone of Aventus. It is more of a summer fraiche version. Back then there was not 20 copies just good ole Fresco which got the job done at an affordable price. Now there are much better clones by Arabian companies that can clone just about anything and make it affordable and you have several youtube guys hyping them. Back then it was only Fresco which pretty much held it’s ground.

Fresco is a great fragrance with a “just stepped out of the shower” feel to it. Comparisons to Cedrat Boise and Aventus are apt but they are three different fragrances each articulating their pineapple accord differently. Fresco is slightly soapy, Cedrat powdery, and Aventus the juiciest of the three. I see little reason why one should not own all three. None of them last for much more than 2-3 hours until they dry down to a skin scent. I suppose much of this depends on your confines.
I do suggest though that you consider spraying these on the inside of your collar and cuffs and perhaps the placket of your shirt as they last considerably longer on your clothes. You can even spray a hanky or purchase a small atomized when you need a refresher.

Fantastic alternative to Aventus. I have both perfumes.

A week before buying Fresco I purchased Aventus from Creed boutique and was disappointed in the silage longevity of this fragrance which is moderate at best, the same as other creeds like GIT and silver mountain water so as far as silage and projection this will do just fine and this is very close to aventus and that’s from a consumer who will never waste money again on creed fragrances because as far as I’m concerned they’re just high priced remakes of other less expensive fragrances, as so many companies are doing these days watering down or just imitating the past. No creativity

I just rec’d my bottle from NY and have to say this is a great alternative to spending $200+ on Aventus. Fresco does not have that heavy smoke scent that I picked up from Aventus. The only real downside to Fresco is it’s longevity. I agree with many of the reviews for this product. It is a light version of Aventus that you can wear everyday and not worry about how many sprays you use. Easily worth the $30 or so. I am going to buy a backup bottle!

I had to buy this blindly after all the hype and reviews comparing it with Aventus. My bottle arrived from New York and upon first sniff once the alcohol dissipates I have to say on my skin this is a fantastic alternative to Aventus. The similarities are there definitely although not quite the same which I don’t mind. Aventus is my signature fragrance and I always wear it on evenings out. Fresco Ilum Dean allows me to wear a similar scent on a daily basis. Fresco seems sweeter on my skin and even though the longevity is not as long lasting as Aventus I bought this so cheaply it can be reapplied throughout the day.

Didnt buy this one , but spreyed once for testing ! smells good not much synthetic there is def. pineapple and musk and a bit smokey just a little , opening ! no its not aventus dry down is more similar to creed’s best seller but if U ask me i would say No its not a replacement for it though sill its a good enough frag. fruity musky a bit smokey, sweet & also a bit woody , its clean longevity is … not bad ! depends though i got 6+h proj. not bad , but not much so…
Yay or Nay : if You’ve got aventus AND can pay for next bottles no its not for you , if U got aventus and want to just use that quality stuff occasionally (i.e date out!!) yes U can have it, if you dont have aventus and dont want to break into a bank for it(or cant afford it) , its a good juice for the price wont disappoint .
one more thing there is another frag by Marc Joseph that is called “MINE pour homme” its an aventus wanabe too if you can get a hold of one try that too its not bad more smokier and bit more synthetic not bad overall… 🙂

  16. :

I bought Fresco because I loved the dry down of creed aventus but not willing to pay that much. Fresco has that same deep almost peppery oakmoss smell the same as aventus but it goes away after 3-4 hrs to my nose and needs to be applied again. Im fine with that for 30 bucks for a clean scent that doesnt overpower.

Just got this today. I purchased it out of curiosity. I have to say overall it’s a nice fragrance but nowhere near Aventus. I must have gotten a bad batch of Fresco I guess. I can smell the pineapple & what seems to be lemon. To me it also has a laundry detergent scent & seems powdery after 20 minutes or so. Projection is terrible and after about 45 mins I can barely smell the fragrance.

Fresco is is an amazing scent. Thanks to coachrob619’s review on youtube i got introduced to this fragrance. i had never smelled Creed Aventus andat the time i didnt know how it smelled but yet i saw so many Youtube videos that had Aventus within their top 10 list so i had to have it. Luckily i found Coachrobs’s video and figured i would give Fresco a shot since it wasnt to expensive. One i recieved Fresco in the mail i gave it a try and was like… Hmmmm, i wonder is Aventus really smells like this. So i decided to look for a Creed Vendor in LA and luckily found a Nordstrom in Pasadena that sales Creed. i went there on my lunch break and was surprised on how similar Fresco smells to Crees Aventus. I also tried Creed’s Silver mountain water and i also found it similar to Al-Rehab Silver. Again, they smell very similar and for the price well worth it. if your looking for a cheap alternative to Creed Aventus, i strongly suggest Fresco. i would also like to mention that to me i do not get any alcohol smell. Just a nice smoky Pineapple scent.
    9/10

Ok. I live in England so don’t get much opportunity to try / buy this. I decided to bite the bullet and order it from the U.S. It came today! So excited as I genuinely wanted this as a work / casual alternative to my Creed Aventus. 1st spray… Disaster!, nothing like Aventus. 5 minutes later… Umm not bad! 30 minutes later… Definitely an Aventus alternative. Got the smokiness (although not as nice) and the pineapple. Even after shipping from U.S it only cost my £28 for 100ml. It cost me £95 for 30ml of Aventus. People who know fragrances MAY be able to tell this is not Aventus, but I’m surely going to tell people it’s Aventus when they tell me I smell nice at work!

  21. :

Fresco starts out with a bright, sparkling, sweet pineapple with a slight hint of Mandarin Orange and a slowly evolving woodsy background. After about 30 minutes a strong smoky smell takes the forefront while the sweet pineapple takes a step back, but still clearly there. A fresh amount of patchouli is also present with the smoky forefront. After three four hours the smokyness and sweet pineapple both combine with neither dominating into a beautiful dry down. The musk and amber are bases on this one that keep it going for the entire day.
As for the comparison with Creed’s Aventus: it is a very good copy, the closest, but without the absolute quality ingredients. The samples of Aventus I have smelled are not as sweet with the pineapple up top but I personally prefer Fresco’s opening pineapple blast. There is no birch in Fresco, but the smoky and woody smell are still in it. Overall, it is an amazing alternative to Creed’s Aventus, but it’s purpose is not to replace Aventus; as those who love Aventus will only demand the quality that Creed can provide.
    Scent: 9/10
    Sillage: 6/10
Longevity: 8/10 (lasted well over 12 hours on me)

Don’t let the fruity notes keep you from trying this. It has a wonderfully masculine bottom to it that adds plenty of balance. Picture sitting on a warm ocean pier watching the sun go down.

  23. :

On the opening very close to Aventus, after some minutes it’s get different (but still good). On my skin the longevity is weak. If the longevity was better would be a incredible deal, the way its is just a good one.

  24. :

I sprayed Fresco Ilum Dean this morning at 7:30 and it lasted 10 hours on my skin. I took a shower and I still smell it on my wrist. So I’m not sure why on so many reviews they say they got 2- 4 hours out of this fragrance. I guess I’m lucky that it lasted so long and it did smell good throughout the day.

  25. :

    5 out of 5

Dang people, it’s only a fragrance. Are Aventus and this similar, yes. But is it really necessary to harass anybody who says Aventus is better?

  26. :

    5 out of 5

This is practically Aventus without the rediculous price-point. Don’t let the little Creed-jocks try to convince you otherwise. This will get the SAME reaction that Aventus would….but if you want to go ahead and waste your money on Aventus just because it’s a CREED…and because it’s “Niche”….and because you want to prove that you can fit in with the majority of followers…by all means, go ahead and waste your money. ENJOY! 🙂

  27. :

    3 out of 5

Smells good, a 7.0 out or 10.0 only because of poor longevity and projection, otherwise a real close clone of Aventus… I hope they come out with a Fresco Intense version with better projection and longevity… Scent is really good though… For $30 bucks not a bad option if you can’t cough-up the $335 for Aventus at a Creed’s Boutique… 😉

Something about this fragrance gives me headache. Maybe the synthetic smell of pineapple is too sharp.

  29. :

Shhhhh. Don’t tell the cult that this smells just like the best “batch” from Creed Aventus. They get realllll mad when compared.

  30. :

very similar to aventus but with poor performance

  31. :

A poor man’s Aventus, good in it’s price range. I like the pineapple.

  32. :

    5 out of 5

Smells very similar to Aventus, but lacks terribly on longevity… Overall not bad for the price, considering it’s a small fraction of the price of a Creed fragrance, this is definitely a great choice alternative if you like Aventus and don’t want to fork-up hundreds of dollars…

  33. :

    4 out of 5

Yes Aventus, just lacking its strength, character and power. But a good fragrance nonetheless…

  34. :

RJ is spot on with his review. Fresco matches creed aventus precisely in the opening notes. That would be the only similarities. The pineapple note is exactly the same as the coveted batch number C42B11Z01, which immediately caught my attention. Did i find a clone of the best batch creed had to offer?! Not exactly, aventus is a beast, longevity and sillage is off the charts…the drydown rich with smoke, pine, and leather…Fresco takes a different route…starts off beautiful but becomes a skin scent in a mere 2 hours…and its more of a cheap drydown…if u miss the beautiful and almost extinct C42B11Z01, fresco has the top notes…my suggestion would be to layer with a smokey leather cologne for a lasting effect

  35. :

    3 out of 5

The first spray releases a mix of citrus and a light pineapple. My impression was of a “sport/average/fresh” fragrance, like many adidas or similar brands. Not something sophisticated.
Then it settles into a green/musky combo which is nice and masculine but not impressive.
Before I bought the full bottle, I got a sample and it smelled like pure pineapple, fresh and sweet. But now that I have the full bottle, in my skin it smells ok, not much of pineapple, more green and slightly woody than anything else.
I haven’t tried Fresco on an “open space” or at work, so I don’t know how people will react. So if people compliment me, then I will keep using it even though I’m not overly crazy about it.
UPDATE: Two days ago I wore Fresco with L’Eau d’Issey Summer 2013 just to give it a fruity kick…but it didn’t work well. Next day I tried with Un Jardin sur Le Nile and it was better but it quickly faded away. Today I wore only Fresco, and I love it, after 3 or 4 hours I still smell a beautiful, irresistible clean scent, just wonderful and I also got a first compliment. So I guess we are going somewhere with this perfume!

  36. :

I bought this a while back when it first came out because of all the hype being similar to Aventus which I’m sure is why most people are looking into it to begin with.
Is it similar? Yes, it is. I dunno how anyone can say they are not similar. Are they the same? No, you can tell a difference in the drydown for sure, but to the untrained nose most people will not be able to tell. Aventus has a better smokier vibe to it which makes it better. Aventus also lasts 6-12 hours, while fresco I’ll be lucky to get 4 which is still good in my opinion.
I use Fresco for my daily usage and Aventus for my special nights out.For a person that likes aventus and is in poverty mode, look into this.

  37. :

Sorry guys, I’d rather buy a 8ml decant of Aventus than a 100ml of fresco which would be around the same price. It’s all about quality not quantity.

  38. :

    4 out of 5

Haha, Yep.. Now the creed fan boys knocked it down to zero. From 52 agree smells similar to Aventus to none. All within a couple days. When someone feels the need to make “ghost phantom” frag id’s just to rig the category,, I feel bad for whoever it is. LOSERS..

  39. :

    4 out of 5

Creed Fan boys are so bitter and insecure about this scent smelling somewhat like the all mighty Aventus came in here made accounts and hit no on the smells like Aventus. This scent had over 50 thumbs on smelling like creed and now it only has 12. Trolls

Totally agree whit the perfect description of lightspeed388.
Fresco is close to Aventus like new version of YSL to old version (pour homme, jazz, m7).
I live in Italy and to have a bottle of Fresco i’ve to wait 70 days and pay taxes more.
If i could buy it in Italy probably i’d use Fresco for everyday and Aventus in special occasion and in the week end, just to always smell the same.

  41. :

    3 out of 5

Does Fresco by Ilum Dean smell like Aventus by Greed? Yes, I think they smell simular. But only at the top, because there is no smoky pineapple smell. In my opinion, Aventus by Creed is much more natural smelling, and has that elegant smell that Fresco Ilum Dean does not. Also Aventus by Greed lasts and projects much, much better then Fresco by Ilum Dean.

  42. :

    3 out of 5

Blind purchased a bottle for it’s cheap price. I see the initial comparison to Aventus but not much. Aventus has the smokiness while this turns into watery pale citrus on my skin and not complex at all. Bottle goes back to the box for the new designated owner.

  43. :

    5 out of 5

People tell me it is very strong and that it is really projecting…even though to my nose I feel like it has died down.

  44. :

    3 out of 5

Smells like aventus ,but a little lighter. I would call this aventus sport

  45. :

    3 out of 5

let’s be clear and stop confusing people , does it smell like Aventus? yes , but just for couple minutes , will it be a good replacement for Aventus ? hell no , there is Aventus and there is Fresco , you choose between a monster in longevity, projection and well blinded or some cologne suffers from longevity and projection plus you need to Reapply it just to lie to your self that you are wearing Aventus!!!

  46. :

    4 out of 5

very old school, cheap smelling, common like boss, swiss army etc. Lemony, didn’t smell any pineapple.Complete waste of time.

  47. :

    4 out of 5

Nothing compared to Aventus, in the first 10 minutes there is some similarity, but after that they become very different scents. Some will like this, but I prefer Aventus over this one, even if this one is almost 1/10 of the price. It’s a nice fresh musky scent, but really nothing special.

  48. :

    5 out of 5

I really don’t detect many notes with this fragrance. It starts with with a rather rich, delicious pineapple, roasted rather than raw and sweet, and a soft hint of what I would describe as a somewhat dirty musk. As the next hour or so passes, the pineapple mellows a bit but stays strong, and the musk grows in prominence, but never overpowering the pineapple. Over the rest of the fragrance’s lifetime, which is surprisingly ample, a good 8+ hours on my skin, and longer on my clothes, a woody note raises its head, and that roasted pineapple, musk and wood blend stays linear for the duration.
Overall, I am quite pleased with the fragrance. I didn’t expect an Aventus clone, I actually bought it because I like pineapple, so overall, I am delighted. I wish the musk were cleaner, and that perhaps there was a little more complexity. It feels to me as if it were missing something that could make it outstanding, but it is a pleasing scent, with excellent projection and moderate to good silage, for a great price, so there is no remorse for me with this blind buy.
As an aside, the next day I was testing Mugler’s A*men The Taste of Fragrance, and in a rush to get out of the house I threw on the t-shirt I wore while testing Fresco, and I found that it still lingered on the cloth. Much to my surprise, the mingling of the two scents was delightful. The pepper and coffee richness of the A*men flanker seemed to give Fresco a little extra oomph, and in turn, Fresco’s roasted pineapple tempered A*men TTAF’s harsh peppery opening.

  49. :

    3 out of 5

As others have mentioned, Fresco smells like Aventus for about five minutes before it becomes a very blended and ambiguous pineapple-musk note. At the one hour mark, though, it began to grow and the layers started coming through. Call me crazy, but on my skin this comes off as a subdued version of Terre d’Hermes…and I really do like it.
For a $30 blind buy, this is definitely worth the risk I personally took. However, the scent is very different in several qualities, and just because I’m catching the TDH vibe doesn’t necessarily mean you guys will, so I would personally recommend opting for a sample if you are interested in this. It may be different for you guys, but I suppose I just got very lucky.
Again, this isn’t a replacement for Aventus by any means, but I’m digging this fragrance for the price I paid, and happy with it.

  50. :

    5 out of 5

Okay. Before you hype your expectations to unrealistic heights, I want to clarify a few things.
    1. This is not a straight-up clone of Aventus. It smells a bit like Aventus (maybe 50%). It’s no better than Cool Water compared to GIT.
The pineapple and musk notes is well done and there is a good patchouli note. The florals could have been better composed. The lack of apple, vanilla and ambergris is very apparent.
    2. The performance is below average. The longevity is average at best and it doesn’t project very far.
    3. Ilum Dean is not a real fashion house in NYC. It’s just some man in his apartment who made a website with boilerplate images.
    4. Honestly, this won’t replace Aventus. I’d rather buy 30ml of Aventus than buy a bottle of Fresco.
    5. Don’t expect a clone of Aventus. Approach this with low expectations and you may like it.
    6. Not for people with discriminating tastes

  51. :

    3 out of 5

Aventus devotees will not be selling their flasks anytime soon after smelling Fresco, and I think that calling this a clone is misguided. Fresco does have brief flashes of resemblance (definitely in the pineapple note), but overall…don’t expect the world when you get your nose on it.
Imagine thinly slicing off the upper most layer of the Creed and bottling it with a lot of alcohol, and you’ll get an idea of what to expect. Aventus’ character and appeal lie within the depths of its substantial projection: the smoke, birch, and vanilla, and how each rises and submerges to compliment the alluring pineapple note – Fresco seems thin, hollow, and one dimensional with what I find to be average projection. To me its the equivalent of listening to the first 15 seconds of a great song – over, and over, and over again, never developing further or increasing your interest. Its good, but you want more because you know how good its supposed to get. Does that make sense?
That being said, Fresco is a very pleasant fragrance in its own right! It really does have that pineapple/Fruit Loops scent strongly up front. A very nice summer fragrance to add to your arsenal, its worth its current selling price. I do not regret this blind buy, I really adore this and believe you will get quite a few compliments for wearing it (in the first hour or so). However, those swept by the hype, seeking a perfect replacement for the original (like Individuel is to Original Santal) should take heed – this is not the one you’re looking for.
Aventus is still the opulent compliment-getting King, there simply is no substitute.

just got my delivery of 3 fresco’s!! smells much better than Aventus or Light Blue! you can not go WRONG!! compare the price at $350 for AVentus to $49.95 at ILUMDEAN.COM..this thing puts a smile on my face. lol

  53. :

I just received this and compared to Aventus I could easily tell the difference. Fresco is much more fresh and sweet. The pineapple note predominantly lingers on your skin. A great fragrance, but I dont see it being a Aventus clone. To each their own.

  54. :

    4 out of 5

I bought this blindly based on the SAME HYPE that many other reviewers below me have….I’ve not had the chance to compare this to Aventus, so I can’t comment on that claim….BUT, I CAN say that this fragrance smell EXTREMELY PLESANT! You simply cannot go wrong by purchasing this one!
Shame they keep inflating the handling prices though.

smells like pineapples of course we all know that by now the pineapple note is def a fresh cut pineapple not caned ones, the whole pineapple with the skin still on it and u just cut that sucker in half. the pineapple is not too sweet or sour its just in the middle the lemon note thats in this i would say is more like lemon zest . over all i would say this is a classy smell for sure great for office use i would say it smells like the boss in the office not the lil guy most def if u are the head guy u should be wearing this, u should be wearing this if u have your own office at work and when ppl need to talk to you and they walk into ur office they smell this and they know they are talkin to the man himself. i just think this is a great workin smell, like day time smell . wake up in the morning put on ur work cloth like a button up and a tie and head to work or if u are travelling i would put this on head to the air port for sure no one is gonna be offended with this . you are just gonna be the guy that smells good and classy . under 30 bucks AMAZING what !!!!!!!! go buy one rite now

I just got a bottle of this in the mail! To keep it short, this is the best Aventus alternative on the market! If you love Aventus, you will love this too. This is a much better deal for your money. Fresh, clean, mature, easy to wear fragrance that will get you comliments for sure. Get it while you can. I’m sure the prices will go up very soon in the near future.
