ancora caldo afoso, ancora profumi leggeri. e stavolta si tratta di un ennesimo esercizio di stile di olivia giacobetti, naso di tutti gli accordi creati per questa piccola azienda di nicchia che punta su fragranze biologiche, “naturali al 100%” (come recita la tiritera sull’etichetta, bah) e quindi assai evanescenti. da chimico direi comunque che i fissatori, in profumeria, responsabili della longevità del profumo sulla pelle, non sono esclusivamente di sintesi. comunque… come altre proposte della maison, anche qui si tratta di un piccolo scherzo creativo, molto carino e gradevole ma con poca spina dorsale. leggerissimo e verde, con riconoscibili note volatilissime di dragoncello, erba tagliata, menta e muschio, è meno persistente di una qualunque acqua. non indimenticabile, ma caruccio, appunto. non dura neppure 10 minuti.

I love the scent, very green, fresh mint, soft herb with pronounced cedar wood top notes– beautifully balanced. I thought it was lovely and invigorating at the start. But it evolved quickly — barely a mid-section– to a clean soft musky- cedar (also lovely). But it disappeared so quickly. I wish it had some staying power.
A beautiful clean and “of-the-earth” scent, very unusual. But so transient.

Interesting to start with, a blast of freshly squeezed lemon juice, green grass, fern, hay, mint and herbal notes with oceanic wafts and an edge of apple peel. Really fresh and different, imagine morning dew on sweet grass… for around 20 seconds because unfortunately like morning dew it evaporates very quickly leaving almost nothing other than a faint trace of lemon zest in it’s wake. I applied it at least 4 times but without lasting success 🙁 I then tried it on my clothing but the effect was, in the short term, shockingly bad! It was as if I had spilled nail varnish remover or vinegar for a few minutes before morphing into a weak green lemon & lime scent. A promising start just a shame it didn’t linger!

This and Honore’s Trip are my personal favourites of all five Honore des Pres fragrances. Very enjoyable, airy and fresh scent of a young and juicy green green grass. I’m prepared to spray myself from ears to toes with it, it’s just a shame nothing ever holds on my skin, but on clothes it stays till next day. Can’t imagine better fragrance for office or even places where fragrances aren’t allowed, anyways I would happily ‘smuggle’ it in 🙂
