A wonderful, inoffensive, semi-freshie. Geared a little more towards colder weather. I wouldn’t wear in hot summer days. Ginger, pepper, amber, a little woodsy-herbal. I wore this to work a lot in the past two years. It smells sophisticated. Maybe just a little mature but anyone can definitely wear it. To me, it smells a lot like Dolce and Gabbana The One EDP but a little less sweet amber and more fresh spicy. When I have worn this to work, people told me they thought I was wearing Gucci or Curve. This stuff performs amazing for me. I don’t see how it scores so bad in the performance category. Maybe I just got a one of a kind bottle? Lol. It’s been 12 hours since I’ve sprayed it on and I can still smell it. I’ve gotten so many compliments at work. It projects awesomely and for around 6 hours then starts coming closer. I love this fragrance and I will always have it.

After smelling his most sensual and wonderful female counterpart, I also smelled him. The sparkling opening of ginger recalls masterpieces including Bleu De Chanel. Very similar also in the Dry-Down due to amber, cedar and patchouli. Euphoria is a particular perfume, a perfect herbaceous with aromas of strong sensuality. Suitable in Fall and Spring, this fragrance not only abducts but hits!
    Defect: Persistence

I love this fragrance! Clean and fresh without being overpowering! I don’t know why a lot of these reviews are knocking this scent. Its one of my signature scents for sure! I find Calvin’s Scents to be very wearable and good for daily use or at the office.

Just smells like a boring cologne smell from the 2000’s. Because it is. Literally nothing special about it. People won’t compliment you, they’ll just say “oh you’re wearing cologne!” but no compliment with it. Nothing special.

I used to like it when I was young but now it is a flat peppery scent for me.

I know a lot people love this perfume but I have to say: boring boring and boring. It smells ok but not unique and the sillage and longevity is so poor (Mennen has better perfomance than thisone). CK please, you can do it better-

This is a classic, safe to wear pretty much everywhere at all times and with a great price. You can definitely smell it but you don’t get overwhelmed. I like this over ADG

Tried this next to Acqua Di Gio Parfumo , and it failed ADG in terms of uniquness to my nose , again a very understated beast .. I love it !

anyone who has had performance issues in the past should give this a retry bought one at walmart was in a weird package thought it was a new calvin klein cologne but was euphoria but i collect so i put it in the cart anyway it is 2017 formula the smell is probably a tad more generic but the sillage is way better and lasted atleast 8 hours on my skin and a day or more on my columbia jacket was getting compliments leaving work

This is a nice cologne, but after a while it just got blah. Not cutting through. Mostly a base note cologne. Not sure anyone knew I was even wearing it. Doesn’t do anything particularly special when added to the skin.

I just mixed this with Prada Luna Rosa Extreme. They both have pepper, so why not, right? It’s heavenly. The two blend seamlessly to create a deeper, more uplifting fragrance. CKE keeps it playful, while PLRE ads depth and sophistication. It also helps push CKE a little further which it desperately needs. If you have these two, I highly recommend trying them together. #yourewelcome

Nice to see a summer fragrance without any citrus or flower… But I don’t like it. Weird, I like most of the notes (ginger, sage, cedar, amber etc), but this scent is not working on my skin. The opening is good, but not great, the ginger is one of my favourite note, but the pepper and the basil notes are bit strong for me. In the mid I got less basil with a hint of sage, but this part of perfume is unfortunately too sour and soapy on me. The woody-ambery base with the suede isn’t bad, but totally powerless and soapy too
    – spring/summer/fall daytime scent, pretty versatile
    – sillage and longevity is weak, I got only 4 hours on my skin
    – safe blind buy
    Scent (open, top-mid): 7/10 (x2)
    Scent (drydown, base): 6.5/10 (x2)
    Sillage: 4/10
    Longevity: 4/10
    Uniqueness: 7/10
    Versatility: 9/10
    Total: 6.375/10

I gave it another try after 2 years, but no! This could be the worst perfume I had in terms of longevity and intensity. Never going back again.

I really enjoyed this when I had it in a body spray. Smelt nice, light and refreshing. However, I smelt it the other day working next to a co-worker and for some reason I didn’t seem to enjoy it too much. I have a suspicion that he was being a but trigger happy on the sprayer. With farther analysis needed, I am wondering if there may be a difference in smell between Bodyspray and EDT?

Bought this for a guy he really liked it and his male friends bought their own after that..it’s a clean…sexy, fancy, masculine scent. No artificial cheapness about it. Men and women love this scent.

This fragrance started my obsession with colognes. I bought this in a body spray at Walmart and fell in love. I now have 40 + colognes thanks to Euporia. This is a fantastic scent. Call me crazy but the first time I smelled Lhomme by YSL I instantly thought of euphoria. They are in the same vein. Then I looked at the notes and sure enough both have ginger, pepper, and cedar. Try it sometime and see if I’m wrong. I love this fragrance. Even tho it is CK, it remains one of my all time favorites. It is very seductive and not too sweet but just right. Like I said, it reminds me of Lhomme. It is cheap too so it’s a good one.

Upon immediate spray, my mate asked if I had just sprayed Givenchy Greenergy. As a long devotee of the Calvin Klein line of scents, I could immediately pick out the notes that makes a scent Calvin Klein.
In fact, it reminded me very much, of Eternity. The Eternity smell became much stronger on dry down and any unique notes were lost to me.
This is one I passed off the my mate, as it stays close to the skin on him and makes it a good, non offensive work scent.

Euphoria–it gave the opposite feeling of extreme sadness after I purchased a bottle.
If I have to describe about the cologne, I would say that CK R&D team was developing this product when they had to run to the toilet and they never got back to the work table. This cologne smells nice–yes nice if you literally dump half the bottle on you.
I bought this from Sears (to redeem my Sears points when Sears MC was bought by Scotia Momentum) and had to return three days later. I went for the 200ml because the price difference between 100ml and 200ml was only $5. I wore it to my office on the first day and I could not recall if I really sprayed on me. I tried on the next day and the result was the very same. I returned the bottle the next day and had to exchange for YSL.
I still love the smell but what’s the point of wearing something that even you cannot smell it?

Oh my god, Remember a cool dude in college .shy and nervous but party animal at night… such a lovely scent but like many other said longevity is bad..luckily I got 5 hours. 3 to sprays will do the job
Fresh out of shower and tropical floral fruity scent. I do get SOME similarities with Bleu de Chanel…
All year round (most in summer and spring)
Versatile, fit with happy occasion 🙂
    everybody can wear it
    a nice skin scent
it would be a 10/10 if longevity was longer
but according to my rating system…1/3pts for longevity score…so 8/10

I was wrong in my original review of Calvin Klein Euphoria Men. At first I thought it smelt like Obsession for Men but it is something else though they are aromatic woody spicy scents that are different but similar enough. Though I do find that Euphoria Men and David Beckham Homme are fairly similar and closer than I thought it was to Obsession
Euphoria Men is an interesting scent. I find that Euphoria performs differently during summer than during spring and fall. Spring and fall, it is a day time scent through and through but with some nighttime flexibility. In the summer however, it is a night time scent plain and simple.
Note wise Euphoria Men don’t really work. It is pretty much a mix of spices and woody notes and that’s it. Beckham Homme however is a more complicated Euphoria with better notes.
I’ll give it a 6.8/10 for flexibility with the seasons and also a nice length of smell (about six hours give or take depending on activity) and ok sillage. The main issue is the scent to me. As I mentioned, Beckham Homme has done what Euphoria Men is but better and cheaper.

This can actually be one of the top 5 colognes ever made if the longevity was good.

  31. :

    3 out of 5

How can it be, so popular scent has such a poor longevity and sillage…

  32. :

    3 out of 5

Pineapple, leather, suede… It is aromatic, herbal, sweet. Id agree this is sensual and sophisticated. Reminds me of Guess Suede. Not generic like other designer frags I could mention tho. A little more pepper wouldve been appreciated. Id consider this masculine with the spice in it that offsets the pineapple and sweetness (brought on by amber?). In any case, this is great for the cooler months, going out, etc. I had this in the past and am revisiting the ‘oldies’.

Euphoria men is neither bad, nor good. It’s distinct enough for me to recognize, but not unique enough for me to like or crave. Smells like sweet watermelon with ginger zest, ground coriander seed and chiffoned basil. It’s a very safe scent that I blind purchased and rarely use. Sillage and longevity are fine but not great. I personally wouldn’t recommend this fragrance.

I love this fragrance but think the womens version smells better. I think this is a very unique smell but a little soft for me to wear all the time.

  36. :

Very nice fragrance, although it smells different from the sample I smelled in a magazine and I like the women’s version better. The problem is, it doesn’t last an hour on my skin!

  37. :

    5 out of 5

I can’t say I don’t like it because it doesn’t bother me, is just OK for ordinary time.
I have some favorites from CK, this one won’t be one of them. It worth the 12 dlls I paid for a small 1oz bottle to sample it only but won’t be buying it again.
As I am wearing it today for the first time I was thinking I’d be more impressed with it but I am not, I can tell it won’t last long because it’s been an hour I sprayed it on and is totally close to the skin already and no comments or compliments so far, so I guess it has not been noticed. .
Is a good fresh scent for the normal morning routine.

This fragrance is an enigma wrapped in a schizophrenic. One day it melts my heart and makes me weak because it smells so darn refreshing and soft. On another day it makes me feel repulsed and nauseous. Now I just can’t bear this fragrance. It singes my nose hair with alcohol. Just – just let down. Avoid if you can.

  39. :

    5 out of 5

I love this fragrance, my guilty pleasure and secret weapon.
A scent I can smell and smell and not get bored. A bit nondescript but that’s its strength too, as it makes it a great everyday scent.
It has a lot of similarities to Bleu De Chanel in its profile: a clean, everyday scent, and in its mood: an uplifting positive snuggly vibe. It’s sweeter than Bleu though, and that’s a good thing. Where Bleu is a bit airy which gives it a laundromat feel, this one has a sweetness that finishes it off well.
Performance wise, it is not amazing. Certainly doesn’t project. I do find it lasts long-ish as a skin scent though.

Hell yeah I wear CK’s Euphoria for men. It’s one of those fragrances that feel like they made a mistake because it ought to be for WOMEN lol The same goes for CK’s more popular and famous classic Eternity which is a floral fragrance. This one is not as floral but it’s very sweet and spicy. Totally unisex. Ginger and pepper are notes that I’ve experienced and enjoyed in women’s fragrances as well as amber, patchouli, suede and the woodsy note of Brazilian rose wood. All the notes in this fragrance create a soft, delicate, powdery and spicy aroma that makes you giddy with pleasure. Here are the notes Fragrantica lists
    Top notes: ginger and pepper
Middle nots: basil, sage and cedar
Base notes: amber, patchouli, brazilian redwood and suede.
The way this fragrance starts is divine. It’s not harsh, no aldehydes, no fruits, no citrus, nothing but delicious sweet ginger and pepper spices. It’s such a shame the top notes disappear quickly. The heart is full of sage and basil, it’s minty and green. The dry down is woodsy but it’s also got amber and a very subdued patchouli. It’s bigger on suede to my skin. This is a great fragrance but it’s light and doesn’t last as long as I would like it to. There is something like musk but it’s probably the suede, it’s the kind of musk I like because it’s not too heavy. I like this spicy amber men’s fragrance. It’s innocent and boyish and reminds me of the way guys smelled when they were first trying out cologne in middle school to impress girls at dances. Now I don’t mean that this is a juvenile and cheap scent. It can feel that way sometimes but the aromatic basil and patchouli give it that true grown up fragrance type of smell. It’s not for everyone. I have a guy friend who could never wear this because the moment I say “this is unisex” he gets turned off by it. But try it if you’re a guy or a girl that likes sweet and spicy ginger amber fragrances.

I have a 0.7 oz sample of this and it smells amazing! Its sweet, fresh, and has a playful characteristic to it. I would have bought a full bottle for my rotation but the longevity does not last long. Only lasts for 4 hours. It’s only good if you are going to stay indoors most of the time.

  43. :

    3 out of 5

I agree with most people here that Euphoria has weak longevity and soft sillage but personally I think this is a good scent. I found the scent is quite pleasant in beginning of fall weather where temperature is around 60-70. I like the way the spices play out so soft and smooth. The scent is not a bold statement that gives you strong impression like many other spicy scents, it’s more delicate and polite. It’s very suitable for young guy in their 20s, where you are still young but more responsible, start to drift away from the popularity but not quite have your own style yet.

  44. :

    3 out of 5

    Pros:
    – Sweet soft scent
    – Inoffensive
    – Has a calm seducitve scent to it
    – Very nice peppery blend
    – Not overpowered by wood notes
    – Basic and simple notes that are constant
    – Works well for the office or dinner out
    – Works well for a younger age group
    Cons:
    – Sillage is extremly poor, only you will enjoy it
    – Longevity is extremely poor
    – 30 Minutes to climb through notes then will fade even faster until 60 minutes when its gone (all this on a good day)
    – Constant reapplication will drain bottle and become expensive quickly
    – Doesn’t work well on a more mature type
Calvin Klein always seems to have a longevity and sillage problem. It never lasts as long or projects as far as you may want. When it comes to Euphoria, it is no better. It doesn’t last long enough to reach “Euphoria”. The general scenario is: You are getting ready for a date, put some CKE on trying to smell good (Peak for 5-10 mintues), you get in the car/on the bus (Drydown for 15-20 minutes), you get the restuarant and CKE is already ready to pack it in for the night as at about 30 minutes it nosedives to nothing.
It smells great, don’t get me wrong, but that really doesn’t do a whole lot when nobody can enjoy it within the 30 mintue time frame. Also they need to be right intimately close to you to actually detect it. I want to say that I love it, but I can’t because it is a letdown. I do not recommend buying this on the basis of longevity and sillage alone.

  45. :

Perfume has an excellent fresh scent. At the beginning you feel fresh and chic moment, but after one hour everything disappears. This perfume is particularly suitable for the summer with no haunting smell, especially after showering after sports. Not engaging and light, you can have it in your collection just for variety. Euphoria is super fresh, but it has serious longevity problems.

I like it, I think most people would like it, I struggle to see how anyone would hate, or on that note love it. It’s a warm cozy fragrance, that would be good for office or gym wear, but there are hundreds of more exciting fragrances out there. Euphoria Gold is an insanely sexy gorgeous scent, the standard Euphoria is so generic in comparison. The bottle is really smart though.

Call my nose crazy.. but I grew up using adidas moves as a kid. This scent actually reminds me of a more “sophisticated” version of adidas moves (which I got compliments on regularly). Although there aren’t any fruity notes listed, I get a light sort of fruity smell from this.

Booooorrriiiinnng…I used to wear it to the gym but i quickly grew tired of it.. Tried to push it off on my 12 year old son and 2 days later it ended back on my dresser smh.. Finally my nephew took it off my hands, he loves it! 2 thumbs down for this juice.. The only upside is I paid $10 for a 1oz bottle.

  52. :

I love this scent. It doesn’t last very long (about 4 hours), but it’s perfect for a casual day of running errands, especially if you plan on going out at night and wearing another fragrance.

  53. :

    5 out of 5

It’s nice however it’s very much what you’d expect from a men’s cologne. A very typical spicy shower gel type smell that everyone has. If uniqueness isn’t important id give it a try. If it is, id pass. Its a slightly boring Calvin Klein creation.

  54. :

Not mine. My younger brother’s. I like the simple scent. It’s great for everyday use, nothing too heavy and sinus clogging. The staying power’s not too good though. It’s perfect to use when the temperatures are rising because it’s not intrusive.

  55. :

    5 out of 5

I love this scent but the thing is….spray it on you, by the time you put it back on shelf the smell is gone.
If longevity was better that would be my signature for sure!

  56. :

This was my first actual buy and it was a blind buy too! The first time I smelled it, I was really excited because I’ve never used any fragrance before except for cheap body sprays from Walmart.
Now, it is my casual everyday scent in the Winter time and it’s not the most exciting scent but I’ve gotten compliments on it before.
I agree with the top notes selected up top except I smell a bit of pear. Maybe it’s just me but it’s like masculine fresh spicy, peppery, pear. Not like really ripe sweet pears but a bit of pear in there.
As the scent dies down, that’s when it starts smelling pretty good. Still fresh, but a bit sweet.
This fragrance doesn’t last long and I usually carry my 3.4 oz bottle in my backpack and spray it every 3-4 hours. Not that expensive so I guess I usually spray 3 times in the morning and then 1-2 times every 3-4 hours. I will say that this is not for everyone though. The projection on this is pretty good for like the first 15-20 min. Then, when the top notes die down, you can kinda smell it for about an hour more from about a foot away. And after that, I need to sniff my wrist to smell it. That’s when I reapply.
Overall, a nice simple fresh fragrance, great for casual wear. This is not for everyone. It does not have the best longevity but hey, it smells good while it lasts. Projection is okay, good at first but dies down fast.

I forgot this cologne existed. I was in the post office and this arabic girl was saturated in it to the point a line up full of people could smell it. This is what people should get instead of that overpriced Jay Z one. It’s similar to the David Beckham signature cologne no one probably remembers as well.
what can I say it doesn’t last very long. fresh and spicy describes it to a T but there is a bit of sweetness to it when it fades away. It doesn’t fill a room unless you bathe in it like that woman in the post office line did. I got bored of this one and gave it to someone to make room for something else.

  59. :

    4 out of 5

    Euboria more like!!!
This is quite a dull scent in terms of excitement, I had always thought this was a warm, sexy amber.
It’s a generally crowd pleasing light gingery/pepper/citrus top and vaguely ambery, woody drydown…nothing special.
Performance was okay I suppose…and the bottle is very well presented if you like that sort of thing.

  60. :

So versatile! Can wear for work, and axcellent for clubbing
    Very manly and spicy
Usually I do not like CK frags but this is a nice scent, very synthetic though
Worth the VERY cheap price(40-50$ for 200 ml)
Projection and longevity are decent but you can reapplie often due to a very cheap price

  61. :

    4 out of 5

    It’s really nothing special!
It smells a bit synthetic, and projection and sillage are just disappointing. In addition, it resembles many other men’s fragrances that have been released during the last twenty years.
CK Euphoria is one of the reasons why I’ve become more and more fond of the outstanding 80s and 90s perfumery classics.

  62. :

Just bought this and i’m waiting for the winter time to really wear it. It’s spicy, with a sweet undertone that makes it a sexy scent preferably for the cooler weather. I can see this getting cloying in the summer.

  63. :

    5 out of 5

An amazing scent. Yes, is not great on the sillage/projection department, but that doesn’t mean the scent is not good.
Is sexy enough so it can be used in a dinner for two, or at a date, but not in your face, so i can see it being used in business meetings and at the office.
In my skin, is a light spicy, slightly herbal. The woody notes keeps it dry, and the amber note keeps it from being ‘sport’ fresh.
I find it very sensual. Is manly and modern. Clean but sophisticated. The color suits it well.
Is young, but not boyish. Is for that confident man who doesn’t need his fragrance to enter a room before himself. You can smell him when you hold him, and you’ll be very pleased by it.
Is not unique (you’ll probably get that ‘i know this one’ feeling), but is not that common either.
The notes are VERY well blended, so there is no sharp notes.
It stays close to my skin, and when the weather is a little warmer you can get whiffs of it with the breeze. Unfortunately it disappears from my skin after a couple hours (that’s why i think is more appropriate for intimate dinners, dates or business situations).
The lack of projection and longevity may be a bummer, but that should not keep you from trying this one. If you like it, you can find a place to use it.
PS: It shares some similarities with the Intense version. Actually, the Intense version should be the original EDT, and this one could be sold as an Euphoria L’Eau, or a summer version (due to the lightness)
UPDATE: i like to wear it at the gym, cause is not offensive, and keeps me fresh and slightly perfumed for the entire work-out session.

    A complete disappointment.
Very woody, fresh and corny fragrance. I wish it were a bit more floral and sweeter than it is.
Lasts very little and almost no projection. At least to my nose.

Euphoria is a pleasant, if not particularly unique fragrance. Perfect for daytime, work, and casual occasions. Has a nice contrast between fresh and woodsy notes that is well blended. However, as many have already pointed out, the longevity of this one is very poor. This is a huge drawback for me. Still, I enjoy the smell of this cologne very much and that may be just enough to keep this one in my collection.

Like most of this house fragrances it lacks longevity and projection…
It’s just too weak and watery, forgettable and it simply lingers on my skin ready to die after 30 minutes or so…all i smell is a sweet skin scent .

The drydown of this hides a accord repeated in the last trendy fragrances and now it comes surrounded by some rose fruitiness recalling the last female fragrance hits.
I’m talking of what is used to recreate the renewed 90’s fougere accord explored in fragrances like fuel for life from Diesel and Pure Custo from Custo. This is one of the methods used in fragrance composition to develop a product that pleases the public. This occurs because the popular subconscious relates to something you already remember.
This time the fougere elements mixed with the floral fruity make the overall effect less popular than in the female counterpart.

Calvin Klein Euphoria is a bit ubiquitous and easy to obtain at a discounted price (since it has been around awhile), but I am more than willing to recommend it. I call it my “spa” fragrance. I always pack a bottle of this in my bag when heading off to relax and rejuvenate because it just seems to produce those effects for me. In fact, if I am just feeling tired or distracted a spray or two of CKE returns me to composure.
CKE is not an attention grabber. It is a minimalist wood-leather composition with a subtle oriental arc meant to induce a sense of well-being and compliment the Calvin Klein fashion aesthetic. I like everything about this elixir: the ginger-pepper opening is assuaged by black basil and sage (members of the mint family) and figure into the liberation of the amber, cedar, and Brazilian redwood in a most pleasing way. After awhile, I am left with a Zen-like aura of mild woody suede and patchouli. The last phase stays close to my skin a long time and is very calming.
Some folks insist Calvin Klein sold out and, yes, there are esoteric fragrances which will take you to a higher place, but I have obtained a lot of pleasure from the very accessible CKE and his intense brother. (That’s a story for another day!) If there are a few synthetic molecules in the room they don’t seem to bother me.

Nice, but it has serious longevity problems.

It’s quite a sweet smelling scent. I like it but it’d be better if only the sillage was a bit stronger. You can wear it in the office and the scent lingers around between 4-6 hours on your skin.

Personally I found this fragrance rather acrid and the scent itself a pretty generic youthful-but-mature-at-the-same-time smell. It’s safe, I guess, and not too expensive but not for me.

Got a sample of this about 4 months ago. Ever since then I finally found it. This is a very soft gentle aroma. Women love this. Great for the warmer months and daytime. Love this. Get it if you don’t!

At a distance it’s an attractive bottle. But on closer inspection (or to the touch) the metal band that comes down the bottle’s sides doesn’t fit well and even has a sharp edge. The atomizer is a whimpy sputterer. Dear Calvin Klein, your bottle does nothing to suggest I just purchased a quality product…
Well it’s instantly familiar. I’ve smelled this fragrance on many a passer by. This is definitely workplace safe. It kind of comes and goes? The strength of it rises and falls as if it had time release molecules?
I like ginger and pepper, this doesn’t disappoint. Both of those notes are done pretty well and overall I’m pleased with the juice. Not pleased with the bottle.

Smells nice but its a waist of money because there is no lasting power (30minutes to an hour)

The opening was sweet herbal (I’d say more like rosemary and mint). Then it develops into an herby (now I smell the sage and basil (but still rosemary)), balmy citrus. Final spread into peppery oakmoss (pepper, cedar & wood) on suede with a lingering ginger sting. Dry down is more like mint than cucumber to me. I didn’t notice the amber or patchouli. I would see this scent as a more sporty/daily scent than something sensual or occasional. My review is based off of a magazine sample (poor), but it seems pretty nice. Didn’t turn odd on my arm. Don’t know about the sillage or logevity of the EDT.

Why do all the CK fragrances leaves a calone (cucumber) tone after 1 hour?
I asked, but I unfortunately know the answer… They use cheap materials! Just said!
I would never allow my best friends to waste money buying this… so avoid the euphoria.

Euphoria it’s has a good scent, i do like sweet fragrances. It’s sweetest in Calvin klein house i think but pleasant .I got a hint of banana oil as well. Sadly longevity just 3 hours and projecttion 1 hour and half so it’s very poor and a main reason that’s i hated a bout this cologne is prices are still too high to compared with its quality, i give it 5/10 and i prefer intense version though.

In 2006, Calvin Klein decided to launch another of its fresh scents, with the main philosophy inspired by the man and freedom to meet their dreams.
This scent usually pleases, but also, disappoints many users in terms of lasting power. As the lasting is something very personal, because it depends on (almost 100%) skin chemistry, I will just describe the fragrance and let in your hands the willing of try it or not.
Euphoria brings, in its output, an exotic cocktail of ginger, pepper and lemon, along with an innovative accord of rain. In the heart, cedar, basil and sage. Finally, a woody base of patchouli, suede, sequoia and an amber touch.
The aroma is versatile and refreshing, with a fairly youthful, harmless and decent appeal.
