Description

Esplosivo was presented in 2009 as a sequence to collection which includes Mitico, Forza and Feroce. As its name suggests, this explosive and bold perfume represents the unique Italian style. It reflects temperament of a ‘bull in a bottle’ and offers strong and masculine aromas. This passionate composition features an explosion of citruses and woody notes with juniper berries.

Crushed fresh leaves, cinnamon, lime and juniper berries can be found in top notes. Aromatic refreshment of basil, mint and vetiver constitutes middle notes, while the composition finishes with exotic wood, Guaiac wood and patchouli.

Flacon has the same design as its antecedents, with yellow details and legendary bull in the middle. The fragrance is available as 50 ml and 100ml edt, 100ml after shave, 200ml bath and 150ml body lotion. Available since May 2009.

Nice in a guilty pleasure sort of way. Fairly cheap formula that is zingy and zesty (grapefruit/lime/vetiver/juniper) with a slightly minty/woody base. Notes are a bit smeared and synthetic, but smells “good” and avoids hair spray/iso e/woody amber/sweet white musk cliches that make many cheap frags annoying. Like a Little Debbie oatmeal cream cookie – flavor not particularly true to description and cheap tasting (smelling), but “yum, may I have another?”

Lime and Cinnamon followed by Mint and Vetiver and finally closing with Patchouli and Teakwood. (very unusual)
It adds a certain amount of bitterness (from the vetiver) to the Citrus, but in a good way.
A brooding, dry fragrance that is very rarely found.
You don’t get to see this in many places and you get to smell it in even less. I like it a lot. It is very easily the freshest, cleanest smelling fragrance that I own. It’s a summer fragrance that would be best suited worn with an open neck Oxford button down shirt, chinos and loafers.
Very unique indeed. Five stars out of five.

Woody, peppery with a hint of lime and cinnamon, middle of vetiver and a base of patchouli.
Not expensive but you wouldn’t think that on experiencing it.
    Perfectly suitable for every occasion.

Very nice inexpensive fragrance and a nice surprise! Summery and fresh. It has moderate to good silage and staying power. Sort of a cross between Ironman and True Force by Avon. The citrus stays for a while then the vetiver, woods, mint and juniper kick in. The drydown is a little sour but stays pleasant. Great value for money and well worth getting hold of.

It is solid summer fragrance. It is a safe day time bottle to spray when you’re not sure what’s going to happen during the day. The bonus is you get brag you have a Lamborghini 🙂 I want to get their Azione fragrance but seems impossible to find.

This is a generic nice boys fragrance, it is fresh, slightly effervescent, uplifting and straight forward. While it is not entirely suited to me I like the smell of it. This has just a bit of pizazz without going overboard.

Esplosivo is one of four fragrances by Tonino Lamborghini currently being promoted here in Australia (the others being Forza, Mitico and Feroce). The bottles (especially the 100mL size) for all four are definitely made to appeal to the masculine eye, as they are shaped somewhat like sports cars. Of all four fragrances this one starts with the strongest burst of notes – like the explosive start a high performance car has. The top notes are definitely fruity, but it is a lot sweeter than the lime listed might suggest- to me it is almost melon-like. It reminds me of Cool Water Game – at least for the first half an hour or so. With time, a pleasant herby woodiness emerges as the fruitiness subsides. To me this fragrance is fresher than the woody aromatic designation would seem to indicate. The lasting power is only reasonable (about 3 hours) as is the silage – it is definitely no powerhouse. For the price this would be a great introduction to fragrances for someone who has had little experience: it is inexpensive and inoffensive without being uninteresting.
