Description

Eaux de Caron Forte is a cocktail which celebrates fruity notes; playing around with fresh and sweet orange, apple, bergamot and mildly spiced nutmeg. The heart is cheerful and dynamic, awakening all our senses with coriander, neroli and lilac. The sensuous musk, cedar and amber settle at the base.
This extremely long lasting fragrance comes with body lotion, shower cream, powder, soap and deodorant. It was created by Richard Fraysse and launched in 1999. It represents a piece of the Eaux de Caron collection of three fragrances.

This perfume starts off very powdery and quickly settles down to a warm and spicy orange that really just smells too much like a grandmother’s bathroom. Nothing masculine or fresh in this fragrance at all.

Bought this blind because of my love for Caron. Wow! I love it. It’s got a warm, round smell that I find impossible to take apart. Which is pretty interesting since it starts out with a green that’s very green — it makes me think of fresh cut green peppers. But after about 20 seconds the pepper fades into a citrusy lemon furniture polish. And then it takes its time until after half an hour I noticed a lovely sweet floral with just a little pepper at the end. Maybe the reason I love Caron is that it seems custom designed for my skin chemistry. Sorry for those who can’t wear it. I’d say you should sample first before buying. I paid $20 on eBay for a 3.3 oz. tester.

This is really interesting. Quite the opposite of almost all “cheap” (and “not cheap”) fragrances on the market now. On me – warm, summer-ly, sweetly rotting apples and pears with honey on heaps of hay on the summer day. Love it or hate it, it reminds me of (sadly) discontinued Fendi fruit fragrance. But it’s stronger. And yes, it’s masculine after all. 🙂

I am a loyal Caron fan, but honestly not really a fan of this. To me it smells more like a fragrance you would get smelling a candle, vs a perfume. It smells like oranges mixed with an autumn spicy smell. The bottle is cool though….so it has something going for it lol.
It shocks me to imagine that Richard Fraysse who designed this fragrance was sitting in his perfume lab experimenting one day with fragrance oils and ultimately decided “yes, this is the one”. Just not a good one overall!

All sharp and bergamot to my nose, then it settles into something spicier and warm. In my opinion, it’s very masculine so I wish I had sampled it first. I have a large bottle, PM me if anyone wants to swap.

    (ENGLISH)
It’s the kind of scent that makes me happy, I’m in a good mood with him. Fixing strong, resists heat of the Brazilian summer, incidentally, is also ideal for this season. It makes me feel good, is citric acid without that touch that makes me sick, makes me reject the citrus scents of summer, and is not sweet gourmand.

I had little thoughts about this scent before purchase. From the pyramid, I guess it’ll be some ordinary citrus one.
    A quick try out
There is not much fruity notes as its introduction shows, and even far away from silly-sweet fruity scents nowadays. Bergamot dominates the whole opening, and I can understand why people see it as masculine.
The interesting thing is, Forte has a similar body/base as Miss Rocaille, the strange chill watery feeling(maybe the lilac). Forte focus on citrus while Miss Rocaille turn to be green, lily and white-floral.
Like it a lot, guess it will be my summer scent soon. and recommend to those who love Miss Rocaille.
    update
I keep wearing this one recently, and find it a little bit softer than the first time i sniffed it and also find there is a slightly sweetness in the body, guess it’s mix of apple and orange.

Maybe, just maybe I purchased the wrong fragrance..? o.0 This opens so masculine and sharp to my nose. Where are the fruits?! I don’t smell any until the drydown and it is a barely there orange scent and weak musk. Will sell this on ebay A.S.A.P or give to a man in my life. But honestly I wouldn’t want to smell it on them either. DOn’t like it at all. Ugh! ;'(

To me this is the scent of sweet orange on a slightly musky and mossy base of cedar. It certainly isn’t complicated, but it’s very enjoyable and refreshing. The feel is simultaneously traditional and modern – it has a bit more body and is much less sweet and chewing gum-fruity than contemporary citrus scents, but to me it doesn’t feel dated at all. I’ll be wearing it a lot next summer.

today I just found out that my mum has a sample of this one in her drawrer(with a couple of some other perfumes) and I was so impressed.
another nice perfume from caron that has became hidden from perfume lovers.
this is one of the rare fruities that you can wear almost everywhere and at every time of day.it’s not just a morning fragrance.it’s very high-classed.
when first I smelled it,it was all about orange and citrus.it was somehow sour and sweet.
as the times passes it becomes more green with a nice hint of floral scents.
the base warm notes remain on skin for a long time.
